Live 365 As i awoke he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came His words were true We are not free But we have ourselves to blame For even now as tyrants trampled each god given right We only watch him tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep And wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep What would be your answer? If he called out from the grave, is this still the land of the free and home of the reckless? This is the second hour of the afternoon intelligence report. I'm Mark Hernke and I'm Donald Fetcher. One day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters both on and behind the lines in occupied territories, Central, West, South, East and North. Well, ladies and gentlemen, you are listening to us on LibertyTreeRadio.4mg.com, PBN.4mg.com, and we're on live 365 and go to Liberty Tree Radio. We're also on AM and FM microstations, CB Bay stations, and alternate technologies both east and west of the Mississippi, along with southern and central Alaska. We're on the Hallmark Network on the eastern seaboard, top of Maine, bottom of Florida, bottom of Florida, across the arc of the Gulf of Mexico, headed towards the Louisiana and Texas, Oklahoma. chugga Nebraska all the third of why only then also I will push highway you jump in back across the big money little leap over some feels there in the process to raw landing on the other side we're now part of the gold spike project over there on the eastern side of Mississippi all the way up to that's right New York Pennsylvania and all the other end of the big old ridge of mountains there divides the east and the west and what was the old west Well, east of the Mississippi guys, that used to be the west. Anyway, it's been a busy day and it is a special day. We've got Don here with us just to help open up the program. Don, what day is it, sir? Mark, it is the 11th day of August, the year of our Lord, 2010. Again, August 8th, 11th, something like that, depending on how you put the numbers. But, you know, there's no dependent on how this found one in the chamber. Slide jump battery. the magazine is in the well with his weapon one day perimeter is secure many more magazines without him from the net just in fact just to get your long gone that's right or again the sick it's a courtesy weapon we don't have to have to just keep it out of sight but rather the ball just here the other twenty five magazines i'm carrying the satchel what your point it may have to get me out of something but i'm gonna make sure you get me out of a allot okay pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop Now, on that subnote real quick, guys, I never throw, when you get any magazines for anything, you never throw them out. And I'll give you a point of something that happened. Years ago, Don, remember we mentioned those Chinese AKs that came in? Used to get them because they were sporting rifles. Remember they had them, they brought them in with three five-round magazines. Now, two things happened. First, people started offering the whole kits. You see those. Now they're collectors on themselves. We don't think about it, but the first of those came in 25 years ago, back in the 80s. think about that well those are clear effect the first models were black the pin in a black people or neck and one black rifle and it was like our guys it's a nice rifle but we wanted to look like the ones we were you know we were collecting from you guys back during i'm sorry i mean the ones we were fighting against back during that vietnam war thing And so the regular AK started to come in, in semi-auto of course. Well, they used to come with five magazines, five round magazines. Then you had to buy of course, separate 30 round magazines. They came both ways, but they always came with a hunting magazine, at least three. Well, the guys would pick those out of the kit, put them in a box and sell them to you for so many dollars a piece. And many, many, many, many, many, because everybody said, I don't want that five rounder, I'm not going to hunt with it, I want the 30 round here, well, I'll sell you these, or here, have these, or no, I'm not going to buy those. And the guys end up with piles of them. down about four or five years ago and a little farther all of a sudden all of those five round magazines got stripped what'd they get stripped for and that that mag that they were selling for you as little as a dollar apiece because they couldn't get rid of it all of a sudden was worth a lot more because that follower was brand new and in a mostly on the other end on the top the three yeah good I run out of it is almost worth a unless you want to try stacking two of them in and taking your chances. So all of a sudden here was a brand new follower and a brand new floor plate and for those people who were getting these really rusty, tired AK mags in, you popped off the base plate, you popped off that or pulled the spring, which you kept typically, and then you popped out that kind of rusty sticking in the side walls old follower. and you had a brand new nickel chrome follower and a brand new base plate and maybe in some cases you went and bought brand new springs and you souped up that 57 Chevy. She was back to brand new. No rust, no dust, no nothing. Worked first time every time. Only in this case, pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop. Now the next thing Don though is other entrepreneurs then turned around and were offering the holes. Five round magazine holes. milk in that one. Yeah, try to get something out of it. After all, they are manufactured items. And then the trick on that is somebody would then make cheaper floor plates and somebody would have the five round spring somewhere. It goes full circle right back to the beginning again. And cheap followers or the rusty followers get cleaned up and blasted, painted, and then they get put. Oh, there's nothing goes to waste. So anyway, don't even get rid of those five rounders because if you want that AK with that side mounted scope mount to lay really flat, it's really nice to have a short magazine for a rifle. Oh, that's how that works. In fact, years ago I pointed out that's the way to make up your little baby dragon off. You've got the thumb hole stock for the AKs that were coming in, the long RPK barrel, use a five round mag, side mounted rails, your choice of American made scope mount, American scope or whatever scope you want to end that's coming in on the import or you buy the actual military scope that goes on the side of it. Put a DPM or one of these other flash hiders. There's a number of different ones available for the long barrel that looks just like the Dragunov. And it would be a baby kit Dragunov in 7.62x39. Now also available in 5.45x39. But you could dress it out and it would perform the same way in the same niche. and look pretty darn cool in the process meet little rifle package anyway ideas not just lamenting about the problems but uh... things you know that the the the whole point here is that uh... everything can be you know can can be routed to where it will be useful and the very least is spare parts. i'm gonna repeat this again because i know a lot of you guys have of the uh... baby dragon or the full-size dragon ops but the romanians the psl fifty fours some of you have been buying the stripped rifle doesn't have any mags it's got one mag it's got the basic rifle there's no other goodies with it uh... not even the mag pouches okay and they brought the price down by a hundred maybe a hundred fifty dollars understandable now here's the thing uh... if you need makes and i've got a friend he hasn't called yet today but when he doesn't want to get hold of this guy right away because he wants to buy a quantity of dragon off mags and uh... mission to not the guy that selling them wants to sell them to my friend that's how it's going to work there we go anyway all very i sold a guy's name the website is w w w dot e that's islearmory.com. That's islearmory.com. That's E-I-S-E-L-A-R-M-O-R-Y.com. The phone number is 315-783-5514. That's 315-783-5514. That's 315-783-5514, PSL 54, 10 round mags, these are metal and they're supposed to be in excellent condition. Four mags for $64, 10 mags for $130, that's $13 a mag. Again, four mags for $64, or 10 mags for $130. I'd recommend trying to get 10 mags at a time. Pick up as many as you can. The Dragunov mags are unique. They are a unique magazine. You're going to need something that's going to work. This is a solution. So hopefully, again, we're giving you some ideas here. And now there's where I can get some mags. Now I know that some people have them, some don't. Some are plastic, some are metal. These are metal. These are based on the original design. well-based they are the original design three one five seventy three five five one four w w w dot he sold that the i s p l they are m all are why he sold armory dot com larry's generally be talking to format for sixty four dollars ten makes four hundred thirty here we go On the note of the custom rifle that we were talking about, building from scratch, guys, it's not that hard. The basic work has already been done. You're not having to reinvent the wheel. The big thing to consider is, once you've understood how to build the upper, then the idea is to actually come up with a lower kit that you can drop on that allows you to actually have a complete and independent weapon system separate from your AR as needed. One of the considerations is basing all of your internals on the lower receiver of the Air 15 as far as the hammer and the sear. It's going to be a bolt gun, by the way. Remember that. So it's not all that fancy, but the important thing is to remember that the parts are cheap to access to finish the project if you're going to build a lower. With regard to the buttstock, you can go with tubular metal and actually build it so that it's a straight stock. with a simple rubber butt like a T-plate and a rubber butt like the Sten gun. That's the simplest, fastest, easiest way, especially if you're looking at crude but effective. The other option is to go look at the family of AR-15 Junk and Leftovers. There's lots of them. And to go with and use existing mil-spec, you know, seconds. Parts that are tired but very useful. You're not having to worry about a whole lot of recoil with this weapon. but you do want to make it girthy. You want to beef it up and you want to be able to adjust the geometry a little bit for your benefit. Different shooters or different shooting positions. Also different techniques, ways to use the firearm. So look at, for instance, M16A1 butt stocks down at Knob Creek, roughed or tired ones or E1s actually with no trap, were little as ten for twelve dollars pistol grips were ten tired but very useful ten m sixteen a one pistol grips for four grips uh... ten sets of sandbag for grips were all that's right they were a grand total of i think it was eight dollars for eight sets a dollar a set that's with the heat shield on board the whole nine yards now you're not probably gonna fire that bolt gun to the point where you're gonna go Indiana Jones. But on the other hand, it is kind of nice that you can actually set up a pretty decent assembly that is also going to be muscle memory familiar. Well, the idea is that if you've learned on one weapon system, you know, I've mentioned this before, and we're going to call our hold just for a second here, but I've mentioned before why I like the SEGA, some automatic rifles like the 308, preferably with a long barrel, not with a short barrel. The 308 with a long barrel, it's very quick switch over from the standard say, Garand, the M1A, etc., or any of the bolt-action rifles, to the Sega semi-auto, and it would pretty well, you know, feel and fit the same, you know, as the other weapons mentioned, because it has a C-stock on it, not a pistol grip and a beaverboard stock. so that's not a bad thing i wouldn't even change the stocks out on the sega if i picked up a second two two three three oh eight five four five thirty nine uh... if you've done it don't worry about it the biggest thing is i wouldn't spend the money right now i'd spend the money on more mags and more ammo leave the stock the way it is it already has the scope monotone everything's ready to go there uh... and the rifles comfortable As long as there's lots of M16 leftovers or M16 seconds in terms of stock assemblies and such, hey, go for it. It's cheap. It's the present drug on the market, so to speak. There's a lot of it. It's cheap. It's easy to get. And there's a lot more waiting in the wings with the A2 models coming into surplus parts eventually and the M4s coming into surplus parts or aftermarket anyway. There's so much aftermarket stuff, guys. that uh... you don't have to build anything look at that the basics as far as all the fixtures that you're going to add on no reason for you to fabricate doesn't mean you should know how and be quite honest non strategic materials and give you can't would and pop metal Wood and pot metal. Non-strategic materials can't be restricted. Always know that you can improvise, adapt and overcome by building from something else. You should do a test model where you utilize non-strategic materials across the board. What can I make this thing out of? How much junk can I recycle rather than buying brand new and leaving any kind of paper trail on anything? See how that works? Comfortable to shoot could be done in this this little upper barrel action this system utilizing a home built then again to the design Simply mimic the standard ferret 50 design scaled down to two two three five four five by thirty nine seven six two by thirty nine or even seven six two by twenty five pistol as a single shot One of the advantages is when it comes to being a quiet weapon a closed action is much war you were talking about the psl mags and uh... well i got a copro fry for my thought well i'd get someone to look at the captain the fit and they were already sold out that was right after the micro effect uh... we clean them up that quickly when i believe that that but that's good okay though but the sad part is the driver's gonna be unhappy now uh... so uh... sometimes taste is waste okay sometimes you hear the deal you gotta jump on for our friends thank you for mentioned mike is our friends in the chat room for posting it still to sort of what's what's remind of guys i'm sure he felt happy uh... yeah i'm sure he is uh... when the mail and c if he's going to get a more and so very actually i think this was a second batch of this type of this so we need to keep an eye on him in spot check don't throw the number away because he obviously has a source on them and that happened some people find a watering hole and they're going to make sure they use it so we need to make sure we keep track and keep a finger on his pulse too. Otherwise, you're using the rifle? No, I was just thinking that I got it for a good price back a long time ago and it's been setting in the lock, locked up and I thought I'd see if I could maybe get these magazines, see if I can adapt them since the regular Tokoro mags are expensive. I know. Again, I don't know if they still have them, and you may not have any more luck than we just had trying to buy the Iso mags. Gun Parts Company had, and I don't know why they had these, they had three round Tokarev mags. I have never seen them to see how big they are. They, for whatever reason, somebody built three round, I understand the five rounders, but they had three round and five round short Tokarev mags for the rifle. with the summer if they still have a man weren't that expensive but they were an interesting idea we were looking at buying a couple years ago and i never got into the project uh... back in the early eighties i was thinking about buying them and see by making an extension with a madson uh... uh... squad automatic magazine the maps and mag is the right side it's tapered like a brand gun mag uh... and has the space for the rounds and the followers are two-step followers, all kinds of cool things that were features that were critical. We experimented with that in another, with a 303 rifle, and it worked out pretty well. So meeting the two, using the one of the head, and so it would lock into the rifle, and then using the body of the mats and machine gun mag for the rest would be about a 28-round mag by the time you're done. But if you get a chance, and if you're going to follow through on that project with the Tokarev's, that would help a lot if you'd give everybody a heads up on how that works. Because that is something that I've, the dimensions are virtually identical. The only consideration is a latching point, and again, variations in production from one country to the next, because some are tighter than others. And I have never experimented with the plastic mags, the plastic Tokarev mags. or forgive me, the plastic Dragunov mags in the tow-craff. Now the interesting thing about the plastic ones is you might have more to work with as far as being forgiving for grinding and adapting. So it might be interesting to try one of those and experiment and see how they fit. Well, I ordered one magazine from Centerfire just to check it out and see if I can get it to work. Excellent. Now was that the plastic ones or the metal ones from Centerfire? all that uh... a metal one okay well that's good i got the metal ones but there they're getting like eighty nine ninety five i think for like four of more by one they got the they got a much healthy by one like seventeen dollars right now that makes it affordable test when i hear the only thing might be the back tab station if it is a move thousand holler shorter uh... that could either be and i you know i don't believe in grinding anything if i can help it but if uh... if you're if you if it's possible that would be one option is again retooling the back of it with very fine slow process filing the other option is if it has to be completely changed out as maybe see if you got somebody who's got a nice little machine shop and just have them snick off the original piece and move it up or down wherever it needs to be with regard to the retaining tab the lock tab on the rear on the back of the mag but i think that's the only that's the only question will very that's the only variable on that magazine russians were very pragmatic you know that as well as i do they were and let's put it this way the model eighteen ninety one may got raffles been built for how long along karika that's a kind of a hint you know and they didn't say oh dickey it's a virus rifle we can build that anymore all bs they kept cranking it out right on through to present day And all there's variations in hunting rifle made on that reaction right now even as we speak. In fact, Centerfire, look at all of the finished target rifles they've got listed under that action. So there's an example and that rifle is over 100 now, it's going to be in two more years, 100, well less than that now, a year and a quarter, year and a half. It's going to be 120 year old design. I got a couple to finish on that, not too bad a shape and I got them because they They're kind of different and you didn't see very many of them. The Tokerov is a nice looking rifle. It's pretty light for its size. That's what I liked about it. But you know, $60, $70 per mag when you only paid like $250 for the rifle. Yeah, I mean, you buy five mags, you get the price of the rifle and then some. But it's a nice rifle. They came up, they were nice looking. Well, they were in excellent shape. The ones that came through were obviously... if they were rebuilt, they were done directly at the original arsenals. They were an afterthought. Incredibly well finished. And a lot of those Tokura rifles went into special warfare units. They had built a whole family of different gas-operated weapons. The Tokarev finally came into adopted service just before the war in its original variant and then switched out two or three times to where we, the final model was put into most production simply because of war time standardization. You know, we're here, this is what we do, this is all we do, do lots of them. They did make three variations on the flash hider, slice muzzle compensator, all of them work. The last one looks very much like an AK-74 or where the AK-74 flash hider came from. There's a waffle type or the basket type are available. Most that I've had and I've shot have the serrated shark type side baffle, which works fine. The weapon is very comfortable to shoot. The biggest thing is that for the longest time people didn't want to pull the trigger because ammunition was pricey. But once ammunition became available and got out there on the range with it again where you could practice, it was great. Most important with that weapon is it is a gas system So we've got to clean it if we are going to shoot it remember let's assume all 762 by 54 ammo is corrosive even if they say otherwise and Always clean the gas system. I haven't shot this one yet since I bought it back in the 90s So I have stocked up a little bit of ammo for it, but so I'm gonna see what I can do You know making it a little more affordable for magazines If I have to, break down and spend $60, $70 for a few mags, I guess that's what I'll end up doing. But I'll give this a try. I think this will work, and the only thing will be, in fact, if you are able to, you know, you've got an original mag, so you can very quickly see the spec and dimensions. With most of them, there's a four point quick weld that was done, or only two welds in many cases, depending on speed production. uh... all you have to do is have whatever is a matter of a shop but they'll do is a break free those two uh... those two points all you'll have the whole tab assembly intact and all you do is slide it up or down you know depending on what will match up with the talker of mag the front pivot notch is pretty much identical Yeah, the only thing that I see there that was an issue might have been if there was any excessive meat to the side of the mag. I can't see that happening because, again, they already had a working design. The Tokarev mag worked exceptionally well. It was a very reliable magazine. Normally, again, low capacity, so it shouldn't be complicated. And they just took and dragged that right over to the Dragunov rifle. Again, they could have gone with a bigger mag, they could have gone with 20 rounders or 15 rounders or something, but they stuck with the same size mag on top of everything else. So that should tell us something, ghosting the design across the board. checked with the other guy there i don't know what which i don't think it was where it answered the phone but he asked and said no they were also i would've ordered some of second for that price even if i or use a mike always still phone right or or is a starter kit like a c kitty got four major muscle by the rifle target for more mag well i get four mags and i got a bunch of ammo my by rifle what the hell and actually the uh... it might on that point Real quick here the PLS, you know, the rifles themselves are not that expensive and right now and I'm gonna double check here real quick I'm pretty sure See if classic arms Classic arms may have them on the shelf on sale right now if they do and I think that's where I saw them See I see they've got the Tokarev's or no, they've got the forgive me. They've got the Nagants. They've got Yugoslavian SKS's i'm scrolling down quickly here while we're on the air so we're done having to be a commentary cuz yeah i can see it but it doesn't do you any good radio anyway uh... i know they're here because i saw them do a strip package okay we're going to have a kind of picking up stuff there the years been going by i got some chinese jobs you know they don't bring those in anymore all chinese dragon ops uh... now the uh... as kia for a couple of oh yes now in fact uh... of uh... i don't really got the word if they've imported from over here and cut it over there but we have grabbed all that we can see but the larger you know they were technically a from all but they're you know big enough to use your hand uses a hand grip of the whole cut in the stock but make them up the one thing i like about that stock is the fact that it creates another point of contact to help support the buttstock uh... it not seeing its weekend it's going to break any minute but the one of the things that uh... you'll find i have a box full of them a k forty seven but stocks that were broken off the weapons now they came overseas actually because it was when all the junk was coming in and piles and we adapted those to make shorty stocks for other people for you know what little guys so that you have to cut down a good stock but uh... if you have that extra pinpoint where it comes around wraps the way that it does it makes the but stock that much more sturdy and it's very unlikely to fracture that's not going to break it actually totally changes the geometry when it comes to it roman on on the bottom on the stock on the but i want to hear you know so that makes a big difference you're pushing the ball if you could hit somebody with it well i was the other thing to is what we call a push-up strike and i've described this several times one thing to that this offers is if you're carrying the weapon in the prone you're running along with their moving with it uh... if something comes at you laterally are you literally can turn up and uh... twist that pistol grip around when effect uh... extend with the pin on the uh... from all type and you've got that whole piece of wood right there and it's a point it's a driving point that makes for a very effective tool when it comes to putting somebody down so it again uh... the little things to think about that add up when you're looking out and make decisions on the weapon system now you don't have to change all your guns out anything guys but if you see them you don't necessarily have to change about from what they are if you already have to get one in fact we've arrived away it is the other cool thing is uh... again say she had a bipartisan replace replacement parts of its more stable the uh... i don't see for you know for him a while work we've been talking here of been trying to find a solution that They may have sold out of the PSLs from classic arms, because I didn't see them jump out off the table at me here. Now, that means that the next option would be center fire. Let's see what center fire. I want to do this because center fire had a sale going. And center fire systems, I don't do this all the time, but we're doing it today. on the air here. Let's see, we'll go to Riffles and see if they have. Okay, we're going to look for sales too guys here. It's package deals. Mmm, Optics new, miscellaneous. No, that's not it. Anyway, let's do this. We're going to go to firearms. Oh, guns. There we go. We'll find it this way. The reason I bring this up is because by parting, we were joking, but you know, if you buy a bunch of the mags or you find the mags are cheap, Then you want to hunt down a rifle. That is the way to work it because, uh oh, wow. And do they get knocked down on what they had available? Chris, I think if you go to Package Deal, if I think they got the Dragon Ops, the Romanian style, I think they got, you'll find that. That's what I had to go to to get that mag. Interesting. I think it was Package Deal, if I remember right. Well, you know what's interesting is they're showing, I'm just looking at the overall what's available. Sega shotguns 8K, let's go ahead and see what we have there. There we go, let's go ahead and see what we have. Okay, there we have Dragunov rifle 7.62x54R parts kit. That part, hold on here, interesting large view. $500 for the basic rifle. So $500 for the basic rifle and then you buy, you can buy mags for it. And apparently that's 110 round mag, Romanian rifle and no scope. now see so that's really really straight out of our dollars for scope it right on but it's still you can save some money and do it in pieces rather than having to all want to follow people of limiting about that i understand why because it is you know it's pricey nowadays for a lot of the weapons you really would prefer the one one one of those so true but the cost is you know prohibited so this is another way to get to what you want step by step by step by step guys Yes, and they do have the mags there. For longer range, that would be the one to go with because the ammo is still pretty cheap compared to... Yes. The big thing is training time. You'll be able to get on the range with it. You'll be able to train with it. You'll know what its point of impact is. And because it is the old M1891 cartridge, the 762x54, it is more powerful than the 308 and just a hair less powerful than the 30 out 6. Still a little less energy but not much. It's in the family. It's in that range. So it will perform exceptionally well as an intermediate to long range MBR main battle rifle. A lot of countries actually have used it that way. Sadaam, large quantity of these rifles specifically as MBRs. Not necessarily just as sniper rifles. Their logic was they can see farther than they can shoot. They got lots of sand. So, there were many, many, many. That's why, you know, I'll point this out, Mike, if you watch all these pictures, remember when we invaded Desert Dust 1? There's a lot of pictures where they show them destroying weapons and equipment as they were moving forward. And one of the things they'd do is they'd have the guys drive over the weapons that were surrendered. Well, if you pay attention, there were a preponderance of dragon off rifles being captured. And nobody pointed out, they said, oh, AK-47, AK-47. Well, if you look at those pictures, For every 8K just about, there was a dragon off rifle laying there. And that should give you an idea of, you know, again, better performance, greater range, you know, knockdown power is still the same at, you know, 800 yards that you'll get with an 8K at 300 yards. Take your pick. What are you looking at? Well, lots of sand, lots of flat land, plenty of room. And the same is true with the type of, you know, weapon systems we're looking for here. So this is a solution. Appreciate it. I'm sorry, anything else? Go ahead. What else you got for us? I was just going to say that Saddam wasn't a stupid man. He knew that that was open territory and having a long range right. Exactly. Good idea. And you know what's sad about that is remember Clinton had just betrayed us before Desert Dust 2. While the Clintonistas were still in power, they destroyed the majority or the lion's share of our M14s that were in strategic reserve. They were in tactical storage. and all those rifles in fact it's been acknowledged i've had several blurps here from guys in the last writing about what's going on over in the middle east that they said you know the m14s just kind of rain that 308 raids 30 out of 6 rained would you know it would be superior but you know 308s which are going to run into and that reaching out farther that's the rifle that makes the difference Guys, we could have issued out brand new TRW M14s to every man and just done it as a passing idea before he paid for them. Bill Clinton made sure that the millions were cut up, literally brand new out of the box. There's an example. We lost in one direction even as they planned and perpetrated the next scam, sadly enough. The other thing too about these Dragon Ops guys, and remember there are There are spare parts kits out there and if you do commit to the rifle one of the things that should be on the shopping list is to look around for the best price on a spare parts kit. Some even have the barrels still. So what's interesting there are a few that have come out that have the barrels still attached. You know still everything completed in assembly which is pretty decent so that's another plus plus. There we go. Oh, and by the way, we have just as a note that you might have heard the background from our studio here. Craig is going to be live here in the station. So we do the next program. He'll be ready to lock right in there. Anything else, Mike? Go ahead. Well, I was, of course, I've been collecting some rifles for a while. You know, some people just, you know, try to open their eyes and they just can't seem to see things. So having a few extra, the time comes will be handy. But It's going to be something that's going to be a major thing that will help in what we need. Deep system and deep supply inventory. And again, sharing. We can't share a rifle and we can't share a gas mask. Here, it's your turn. Breathe a little bit. Okay, now my mask. Oh, yuck. Same as true. When you're in Russia, a Russian 80, 90, $100, that's cheap enough where people could afford an extra one or two. And the ammunition for it is still, that would be a good thing to have a rust. Like you say, you can reach out and touch. somebody a lot and the most important thing is from the security of a stone wall or a fence, the militia had no problem fighting. And I understand why. They didn't really want to expose themselves. Many of them had fought the French and Indian war and understood exactly what that was all about. Well, with a nagot rifle, you can place yourself, in fact, you can dress up a nagot quite extensively. There's a number of different options. One of the things to think about is look into Cooper's theorem of scout rifles. Nobody has discussed this idea without drilling or tapping and because it has a straight bolt on most of the models. Rather than switching out the bolt, which I know a lot of people are doing, one of the things to consider is that remember where the scope rail, or forgive me, the sight rail is in the back of the weapon. It's in front of the receiver. Cooper's concept of the scout rifle called for a long eye relief, not too powerful scope. Several companies made copies of the scout rifle based on his premise and it has been favorably reviewed over and over again. Well, you could take the nagant and do the same thing with it, especially these little carbines. Without re-tapping and doing a whole lot of alteration, you would basically dismount the variable rail in the back. Take your picatinny rail, fix your it to that step to the rear site mount. Using existing holes and an offset screw to vary the pitch of the picatinny rail. There's another way it can also be fixed if need be, it's just a matter of creativity. Now you take a long eye relief scope, mount that on the weapon, and you can still use stripper clips, you don't have to change out your bolt. Think about it guys, so simple it's ridiculous. And again, another man, he's now gone, Mr. Cooper already figured all this out for us. All we have to do is apply it. And 7.62x54, that fits right into the Scout Rifle, you know, category and niche. So all the way around you got everything you needed. Good power out of the cartridge, reasonable size package, nice sight picture. With picatinny rail dominance that we talked about in the last hour, I mean there's picatinny rails of any configuration. You've got utility or general rails that can be mounted in a number of different ways. Between all the different designs that are out there, we should be able to come up with something that would fit the nagot and you don't have to drill it. You don't have to tap it. You don't have to do any cutting. use the existing fixture to accomplish the task. Now the trick for the buttstock is if you do that, and people think maybe they need to raise the buttstock because of the optics, consider guys that World War II, when we had the M1D, all we did to deal with that is put a lace on cheek pad. And the government model, there's a copy of the government model that would lace comfortably right onto that nagot just like it does on the M1 Garand stock. So that would be a cool solution too. Anyway, good point there, $80 rifle, a few more dollars you got yourself something that I wouldn't want to be in front of it at $80 to be quite honest. How many people has that weapon technically killed in the last 120 years? Do you think it's obsolete? Not in my eyes, that's not. You shot me with an athlete weapon, that's not fair, it's not supposed to work. I guess it works just fine as far as I'm concerned. Not so obsolete after all, is it? so we don't like my brother used to say units county what if you think it's an obsolete rifle you go stand there on the well house and i'll take a few shots will see how obsolete is what do you say or could do that i would have a real estate and they all could do that will be obviously still people so i think it'll work long day and unfortunately uh... mike we pointed you towards the well that was dry you know report the product i just thought i'd you know at that price would be worth picking up and Even if I didn't use them, like you say, it's always good to have a few extra things around for trade. I was just thinking that Centerfire's got those Romanian kits without the barrels for $100. But it needs spare parts would be a good deal. You know what, I didn't notice that. Another thing on that, by the way, remember those stocks will fit on other AKs. So, if you've got an A-K and you like that stock and you're making a baby dragon off like we were talking about, there's another solution. You get the spare parts for one rifle and you get some seed parts for the other project you're working. I think they really hated that, Mike. I'm telling you, I rubbed this in left and right. And I know we've created trends in the arms industry. Not that we were trying to bolster the industry, per se, but we were trying to make sure the weapons got out there. I think they really were embarrassed when we started laughing at them about the thumb hole stocks because we did. You know before they forced everybody to make those, we had a project going and we were going to be making those for about $100 apiece with American Walnut. We actually had a guy here, we can still do it but we don't have any need to. But we actually were going to build basically that stock and spend between the hardware, because we were going to make all new hardware, we were going to make an American stock mimicking the Dragonoff stock. And the reason is because we were going to start, exactly what we were talking about doing, building baby Dragonoffs. Well, then all of a sudden they pass this law because they thought, well, this will make everybody dance and whatever, and they'll want to, you know, they'll have to have this stock and not that stock and this pistol grip and not that pistol grip and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And like I said, leave it where it is. Here's why. It's a great weapon. It actually strengthened the firearm. You'll beat the snot out of them. You also stabilize the firearm when it comes to accuracy. Wow. So we shelved the $100 a stock project because we were going to build them for ourselves. We weren't going to be selling these. We were going to start making them. We got a guy that cut stocks here. He does 98% finished for anybody in any model from G43s to K98s of Springfield or Arasakas. And he'll do any commercial stock too. But he was going to build these for us as far as the basic wood goes. And we were going to do the finished work. And then the rest would have been history. Well, now the project's history because, hey, The restrictors actually played into our hands. And I think they finally realized we were just laughing at them. I mean, after a while it got to the point where completely, not only went around them, we preferred some of the stuff that they did. Other people did not, and we took advantage of the prices which were brought down accordingly. So, because people wanted to sell the stocks for $10 apiece, and we were happy to sub-buy them all day. Which is why we bought spares upon spares upon spares. Anyway, it's funny how the system works. I think we're making a dent. It's a compliment that everybody turned and took care of the business there and got rid of those mags, so they're not on the shelf. They're out in people's hands now. That's fantastic. Unfortunately, Mike, you weren't one of them. I'm sorry. You've got to wait and see what comes next. It isn't like I don't have anything else to take care of business in case I don't get it. So that's all right. So that's OK. Well, again, another thing real quick. Unlike the Dragunov, the Tokarev does take stripper clips. Remember that AIMSurplus.com has Polish 762x54 steel case, mill spec, it's mill issue stuff with the stripper clips in cans. So there's a solution. There's another option right there. I did pick up some stripper clips from main military. Oh good, does he still have any left though? Do you know? Because I haven't a chance to talk about that. I got those quite a while ago. I think I would have picked up like 40 of them I think. Excellent. Now that is the other option for the Tokarev. That'll speed load just as quick. Two strips. Zip, zip, and you're done. Plus I got the bolt if I was to. So I thought well even if I don't use them or... I can go either way on that. I can use stripper clips if I can't find the mags that are more on the price range I'd like to go. They work pretty fast. You have to do two at a time, or just go five at a time. As long as you keep it loaded, that's all counts. I figured it's not going to be a worthless gun anyhow. One way or the other. In fact, in a way, what's happening in this, I think they realized this. That's why they were trying to block these for a little while. They were talking about stopping all the MBR rifles from coming in. One of the reasons is because they realized as they go into smaller and lighter calibers, these weapons still perform just as well as they always have. with greater penetration more energy delivered against the target which will you know victory guys the whole point is what you need the extra energy there's no such thing as extra energy i like that when they said grosser repel all the energy i get my i have my i have the aggressor i'm facing is in vehicles or maybe armored or maybe behind cover and these calibers were designed to bore through and get to get to that And with most people thinking 223, 545 and 8K round, they don't think necessarily about the same level of defense. And if our forces are mostly carrying MBRs, then that lack of perception is going to be fatal to the other side. And it's true, I mean, 7.62x54, 8mm Mauser, 30 out of 6, 308 ball. 7mm Mauser, 6.5mm Swedish, all those are heavy calibers with a lot of powder behind them, a lot of energy. So when they get to the target, not only are they going to hit and hit hard, but they're going to bore into and get through solid objects to the soft, chewy stuff behind them. And that's a plus too because, again, the rounds aren't wasted. I think that's one of the advantages of, again, the defensive weapon grid too. knowing the controlled area, being able to select a target, and knowing the bullets going to get through, they'll have energy on the other side. That means that we can better control an area that we decide to control when the time comes. And on Battlefield, tactically, that's critical. Anyway, Tim, we're almost to the top. Do you want to stick around or do you have to take off? No, I can stick around. I'll be listening in for... I'm not going to repeat the ISIL armory for the time being since the magazines that everybody was looking for are gone. Doesn't mean you can't go there though. Once a week, if you're listening and watching on August 11, 2010, that is when we are on live and the calls are open, I can see the chat rooms from both the Forbidden Knowledge section of Ustream and the Liberty Tree Radio chat room. So I can see the chat rooms. We're free to take calls today. Everything should go as according to plan. I've had a lot of interruptions on this show because of Apparently, possibly because of my computer and connection problems. Well, I'm on a brand new computer. In fact, this is the first official thing I've used this computer for. So we are broadcasting on Liberty Tree Radio directly from the studio in Dexter, Michigan. And we are broadcasting from a brand new computer with a hardwired internet connection in the studio also. So we should be able to get, both of these should be staying up. I'm trying to come up with a better way to do this, folks. If I'm going to stay on the air, I can't be continually interrupted because All my old archives things on uStream for instance people go and find out that there's you know only five minutes there or ten
