Mark Koernke discussed weapons systems, ammunition types, and historical rifle manufacturing, including Russian-caliber firearms made in the United States before World War I. He covered recent law enforcement controversies involving ATF agents and police trading weapons to drug dealers, and detailed allegations of sexual misconduct and conspiracy at the Southern Poverty Law Center and ADL offices involving underage interns. Koernke provided extensive tactical instruction on defensive positions, fog cover for movement, ambush techniques, noise discipline, and trip-wire systems. He promoted night vision equipment sales and encouraged militia members to use buddy systems to monitor each other's welfare. The show concluded with announcements about veteran oral history projects and military surplus suppliers.
Live 365. Look, it's not like we're bugging the phones or anything, so give him a call at 922-4457. That's 922-4457. Or visit machinegunshoot.com. It's easier to find than my birth certificate. I had a dream the other night that, well, I didn't understand. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said. We fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from Tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But Tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate. And your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame You've taken Satan's number You've traded in your name You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each God given right we only watch in tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave? This is still the land of the free the drum. Well, good evening ladies and gentlemen This is the evening intelligence report. And then back to the Blue Ridge, to the Golden Spike Project. That's where they're coming at it from two different directions, well, many more than that now, to link up and help to grid us out with a replacement for the internet. Don, today's date is? Mark, it is the 11th of August. If you've never heard it before and you hear it in the chamber, the magazine is in the well. It is. And you know what? Lots more. The mags are cheap, reasonably priced and reliable. Again guys, we mentioned KT Ordnance. Remember the KT Ordnance kits are the paperweights out there. The basis for anything you want to do that makes the same noise as you just heard a minute ago. 1911 type firearm. Well, I'll tell you what, it's a... Well, now we've got leaves on the fields and that moisture rising up tonight, Don. I'd probably pay attention on the road on the way home if you're over here in Michigan, maybe working the second shift by the time this is all... The light's all set and it's going to be foggy. A quick note here from Maine Military, I want to remind everybody, if you've got the M10M gas mask going farther, the M10M gas mask in the M17 gas mask bags. over on the LTR specials has a five pack of US gas $9 less than a couple dollars apiece and these are standard US M17 gas mass bag carriers so the M10 combined gives you a you know a familiar package for those you have M17s reviews the M17 no problem all. The other thing is chem suits as I've mentioned many times they're available they've got a quantity the five pack of NATO mark 3 are $50 in smalls and mediums British ChemSuits camouflage pattern R5 for 50. Large as I recall. So great camouflage solutions but also ChemSuit defense systems. Okay, so there you go. Now, oh, they have medium. Forgive me, they don't have the largest right now. Medium will fit me to clothing. In fact, I use them as an anorect. In this case, these are not the pullover, those are the zip-festings. Make nice jackets. And then a cool camouflage pattern. Weapons and ammunition, guys. One of the things we've been discussing of course all day is the M91 and both the Dragonov and the some automatic rifles. But it will remind everybody there are some other weapons out there in 7.62x54 so you got to keep an eye out for them. To include the fact that yep they even made you know Don because the rifle was actually made here in the US first was made in addition to being made for the Zop. Because the Nagat was made here there were other rifles that you know sometimes people try to figure out why is it I can't figure out what this thing is chambered in. Well beware, because there were transition rifles that had different commercial rifles made by Savage and also by Remington that actually were chambered in the 7.62x54R cartridge. We had close ties with the Czar. We built most of the Czar's navy by the way before World War I. A lot of Americans don't realize that. Before 1900. Well we also built there in Remington and oh, that's right, General Electric. Yeah, GE built rifles for the ZAR over here in the US, American Factory. So you will find boys and niggats that are pre-98, FFL, don't have to use an FFL to buy them, and they'll be American made. What a combination that is. Those rifles, because those rifles were being produced here, obviously the ammunition was being made here too, Don, and there was Americans, 7.62x54 manufactured brass case, copper jacket, and sheet annealed. savage said hey that's not a bad cartridge but we build a few rifles and that if somebody wants them so there are other rifles out there and seven sixty by fifty four are not as common but they do exist of the other thing to look at their is some back that uh... there may be some other conversion rifle some countries especially in eighteen and forgive me the the eighteen nineties through the uh... nineteen twenties also adopted the russian calibers because they aligned with the communists uh... that happened quite a bit so we'll find floating around especially stuff coming in before nineteen sixty eight you'll find some of lots of different more rifles that were originally a rimmed cartridge show that were military application or semi rim of that word still receive a six to buy fifty four are now be cautious with those because even though they did rechamber them that doesn't necessarily mean that they were designed for that card you know that works uh-oh I've got gunfire in the background a real loud gunfire in the background you probably get that maybe a little bit oh and automatic fire cool funnily enough these weapons while you're running into grandpa somebody's collection you're gonna find that at some point you're probably gonna run into them the same is true for a lot of other transition cartridges because of export especially before world war two the k-98 mouser being the most popular there's a lot of other mouser type actions or even knockoff mousers that take the standard 8 millimeter round. Be cautious there again. They may not have been originally designed for the more powerful modern 8 millimeter loads. But think about this, most of your civilian sporting loads are kind of cranked down a bit now anyway, so it's most likely that they're fairly safe to use. So that's just a done. I'll tell you what, we've got force up there and on that end of the state, first of all, I know it's probably stopped raining up there. Most of the rain rain pretty good there for 15 minutes, right? Or we should, uh, who you guys, if you haven't figured that one out yet, you're not using your punch very much, are you? Just a little faggot. I got about three sticks together, Mark, but I think I heard a beep there a little while ago. Do we have a caller? Yes, I have. Gun violence by focus. Who'd a thunk it? Certainly not police officers accessing firearms and then trading them to the people that they're supposed to be watching that are part of the drug channel. the course of hollywood movie government right i was going to say the other problem here you got the bat faggots involved and you've got the police involved in both of these people groups of people feel older tight-knit families alright they feel that they're isolated above us all and for that reason the warding over us in one direction or the other and the only biggest problem is the bat faggots who were busy selling just as many weapons the same dope dealers want to get rid of their competition that's what i was going to say neither to it but then again you know it fits in with the well they've been getting guns from there so they had to provide an example didn't they try so you don't know which which side to believe here but again uh... and not only that this character than undercover cop which could be an undercover bed who could be an undercover you know tell me twisty rr yeah you're dealing with greasy here you're dealing with with beef in a pack dark and I mean, squeezy, greasy, we ain't talking really grease, we're talking something else coming out of the rear end of something, you know what I mean? That greasy, slippery, you know, and smelly. So whenever you see this, you know, this thing, clandestine warfare operations, well, why is it that they would expect this to happen? Well, you got to remember the bat faggots do the same thing, they steal weapons right out of the armories. This has already been documented, one of the more notorious shootouts in the last couple of years was between two bat faggots. Why? uh... in government buildings uh... what happened here is uh... one bat faggot armful weapon is carrying out of the off of the uh... primary floor with the uh... evidence room was turns out he wasn't going anywhere well with him but home and when when he was asked where you go with all this you know we go with this stuff by somebody who apparently will either was planning on getting their next or the meeting their first and he beat him to it uh... a gun battle ensued in the elevator at close range pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop so it can have to be pretty impressive and uh... all because they were pilfering arms so to hear this with this punch like i said competition between one clicker ring knockers and the other clicker stinking ring knockers and still yet another agenda in that if they can't find anybody else is doing it they have to do it themselves That's what it comes down to. How many times have we seen this before? So as far as I can see, it sounds like the pot calling the kettle black. Because all of these shasters, bat faggots especially, are notorious thieves. Thieves and then they turn right around and they're out marketing just as quickly. They sell the stuff right out the back door as quickly as they steal it out of somebody else's front door. That is a fact. so before going farther understand who was this hari or was hari institution called the bat faggot yet file rate that's good bill to do table scrapings off the coke they ripped off somebody else why exactly what's going on there uh... any comment from the rules if you're a comment line on that with anybody going all my goodness say it ain't so joe and he's a mother's well you know i know the entire time with that too is uh... you know like somebody who's not license to what it was a fifty caliber some automatic or even a bolt gun Yeah, there's no paperwork. What special licensing? Did I miss something? Is there something in Oklahoma that I didn't know about? Well, if you bought it new over the counter, you have to give a rifle. You have to give them your name and, you know, fill out. And sometimes they ask for your social security number, and if you're smart, you don't give them that, because, you know, it's not to be used for identification. You're seeing a new long gun or a handgun. Right, but not... One thing I'd like to say about engaging that, the guys over at Armalike, you guys, if they just put... probably going to shoot yards now any good to about a third yeah foreign when the world record so you engage that very like fifteen hundred yards eighteen hundred yard okay where you've got like a foreign he's got like a thirty five inch group and again if you know you could get into the wind but play against that interestingly and interestingly enough we'll see what happens here with this is this story is a gun is it an AP does have an AP not for the editors are just being kept contained in uh... and Especially with a scenario like this, you've got the upper crash, the isolated click, and you've got the other upper crash isolated click. It's either business competition or it's a business proposition, one or the other. Wait a minute, they stop at the airport. He's not in an orange suit anymore. Any airplane lands it's in the high front. Yep, exactly. And after all, who's going to be looking? Right. That's the other part about this. This is one of the things that we've seen before. Again, they will go through the whole routine purely for the sake of conditioning and creating an event. Then nothing will come of it. They will make the noise. It is really quite economical considering it keeps their own whirligig machine running. That is the other part that everybody needs to think about. How do you keep the machine going? Self-inggrandizing and self-supporting. So, you know, they fake everything up there, fake everything out, it runs so far. And then when they're Black Panthers, they even get convicted and then at the last minute they, you know, after they've intimidated people at a polling place and used clubs and threatened everybody very openly and they're convicted in a court, then at the last minute they literally just take and drop the whole thing. That's a parallel on this, isn't it? But right up, if you ask anybody about that case I just referred to, People tell you they were convicted and I heard they were going to court and I said yes but did they go to jail. In fact what happened? They should have. They were supposed to. They were right at the point where they were getting ready to sentence them and all of a sudden no case, no charges, no nothing. There's an example of exactly what you're talking about where the next second of course in this case these two characters just went back to where they're being employed. But just as likely as not, they walk out the door, they go to the taxi, they go to the airport, an LL airliner is right there and away they go. And they're a hero when they get home. You screwed the Americans, rawr! That's exactly the attitude they have too. So again, keep an eye on this one. I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't going to be some other follow up or comparable piece that they push. We need to keep an eye out for that. That will be the next step. there was no one's actually just discussing this yesterday forgive me i'm looking for my notes um... well while you're doing that i would never check here they're still looking for one of us keep criminal the other day and we just a caught one of now but the other murderer on time last week in arizona the one guy in kodi wyoming and uh... i think it was kodi and for the no-no-no something out thinking he's heading for canada even to keep yours sidearm at your side now didn't they have a female that assisted them in that I think they caught apprehended. help i don't have the notes i want to make sure you get this right in this this is another case that we're looking at right now that's developing out of washington uh... and what it has to do with a got some follow-up notes on this is this charges on the eighty l this thing is in motion it's not getting any a p wire coverage is like uh... again we'll see what happens with this case where you've got a state cop and the fed going at each other you know to the mail here in theory But this is a molestation and conspiracy charges, both in the offices of the ADL and in the offices of Southern Perversion Law. But what it has to do with is interns, apparently underage or just of age interns. Now the case started up a year and a half, almost two years ago, with the first complaints which were ignored. And apparently the problem, the mistake the bad guys made in Southern Perversion law and in conjunction with apparently some other dealings with the ADL. But Southern Perversion law, they figured out these are just peasants after all. That's why they're willing to work for free. And who could this person be? Well, the mistake they made is the girls that they were, I guess, proposing to and the one young gentleman, apparently one of the perverts, was going after one of the boys. And it was a female who was going after the girls. Well, it turns out that they made a mistake and you know, how like, you know, Hillary Rodham Clinton, well, they were looking at a last name, but they weren't looking at a hyphenated thing there. And apparently one half of the family had a real lot of pull and they complained to an MJTF element, which then of course also complained, brought in the FBI. Apparently one office of the FBI continued the process even though it was in a vacuum and they really didn't Apparently, they were trying to make brownie points thinking they would move ahead with this case, which is becoming embarrassing for the Washington end because the San Mabamadink Dog's office, as we know, is kowtelling left and right to the kosher mafia. Southern Perversion Law tried to shuffle this under the table, but the judges involved, apparently where they went for the grand jury, they don't see kindly to what's happened. there's a real interesting conflict going on here in this case is going to continue to develop their probably at least three primary court charges flash cases with three individuals apparently at least two female and one male by the understanding of this and i probably i've got what i remember the original case down there were poor promise i think it's actually i was close to a dozen individuals but not everybody is going to move forward or they feel that they can use these cases strongly and they'll bring the other charges up later so this is a good one of them perversion law office apparently at montgomery and washington d c and the eighty-oh office is somewhere in uh... misery but what we understand so this is a spread out quite a bit too and kind of reflects a slave trade thing kind of what we saw before old or but in this case uh... probably just simply the plan on trading and swapping stuff you know as in people if you get madrid look you're going to work in another office friend over there but uh... again of their already a couple reports out there there's some discussion with the uh... Justice Department actually did a blurb on this apparently in all inter office. This was something that was interesting and that's how other people got hold of it. It was sent out as part of some other report and it was not classified. It actually went out either accidentally or intentionally as part of a shopping list of things coming up. So inside the government system, the bureaucracy, more than a few people know about this case, or it should say cases, forgive me. So that's something we wanted to tie in. It is weapons Wednesday, by the way, but there's so much stuff going on. So, you know, guys, we've got to cover this, make sure we get it out in a timely fashion. Other things with regard to arms. I don't want to wait until the last minute, Don, because, again, you can do this better than I can when I'm writing to people or emailing and typing millions of words, sending emails back out, and spikes back out, because that's another thing that takes time. If you could, guys, some people have been asking about first generation or again, less expensive, night vision, weapon sight systems. Where can we go and or what kind of solutions can we generate for that and how can they get hold of you? Well, how about a first generation gun sight? It's not going to be something you're going to want to put on. It doesn't want to go over there. You're 22, 250, you're a 22, 3rd generation gun sight for slightly more than $300 more. I don't know how many of them are left and you guys if you want to talk to me about that, you can reach me at 231796. Again, 231796. Second generation talk about a viewer or a gun site. Third generation viewer's gun site, you guys googles across first generation to, you know, fourth generation. If you got a whole room full of pop bottles and maybe another half room full of pop bottles, well, we could talk about thermal. and I'll give you the best deal in town and around the nation but again that's a big big pile of pop-ups you guys. But if you've got 10 men out there within, you know, if you've got it you know what I mean. With starlight, night vision, all of the area would be a great compliment. In fact it would be like doubling or tripling like you've got 20 or 30 men out there. It might seem like an exaggeration but tell the difference between is that just a rock? or is that someone curled up as I've used many times as an example. That's where thermal is going to come in you guys. And again, the daylight, nighttime camouflage, really lousy, as in the daytime. Work pretty good at night if you're in the right place out in the night vision video also. But you guys, if you want to talk to me about night vision, you can reach me at 2318. Again, 231958. We can talk about again, gun sights, goggles. And we could go right down the list talking applications and lifetime and low light performance and magnification and automatic brightness control. We've done it a lot on the year as of late. So if you want to talk to me individual basis, one on one with Don, I don't know. That's not exactly bragging rights. But I'll answer every question I can about night vision. If I can't answer a question, I have an answer in 24 hours. If you want to talk to me, you can reach me. two, three, one, seven, nine, six, a couple different things, all kind of maybe three, but let's see how it all runs out together in the pot here. One thing you might have noticed, you guys, there was a shooting a while back and talked about it. You know, we brought it up and shooting there on the east. We talked about it for a little while and then moved on to other things, kind of, you know, on occasion you hear the phrase or watch this and develop. If sometimes it's good to stand back and see what's happened before you Here's another one. Before you throw your hat in the ring, you're a lot younger than I thought. In this direction, you guys call it just a hub there. If that was a black guy that shot all white folks, folks in black folks, talking about it much like any other, they're keeping this in there. They don't want the, oh you can't talk about guns and mass shootings and have that. It's not exactly. Maybe it's timing. You know, timing is everything and since it's everything else. Well, when you look at it in timing, maybe sometime down the road, they're going to see that kind of, but maybe sometime down the road, that's where the thing comes in. They might want to bring this out again in order to use it like, you know, gasoline on a fire. It'll be why they're keeping this one. Oh, not exactly under wraps because they have to talk from the rooftops about this, are they, about that particular, you know, it's a week past the event now. last two days for a month milking it as hard as they can. So look at it for what the media looks at it. When I look at it like this, it only, the media is a keep you entertained. News is like entertainment, what entertainment? It's meant to mold your mind. Again, sometimes they'll show you cards, sometimes they won't, and sometimes they'll tell you what's in the hood. It is weapons, when the communication. You guys, mind, I'm gonna change. I've got something else I want to talk about. I reach over here for a something now. I got a piece of paper from Machine Gun Randy here today. It's right here. Yes, it's right here. If you've never tuned into the intelligence report you guys before and listen, you know nothing about giving you a clue. You might think we're spinning sometimes. You might think that that's a big yarn. This is the upcoming subject here. There's an old life experience. And you know what? There's a picture of that Uncle Sam guy there pointing at you like the old recruiting project and I open up the F-E-FRE-D-U-M. Now you answered the call for that you answered again. Participate in a veteran project. Preserve your memories and story for future generations. This you got out of context. This is where the P-A-L-L-E-L-E-T-E big yarns come in. Can't be believed. You know, I had to do it that way Mark. But preserve your memories and story for future generations by VA and Arlington DC for inclusion in their data bank. So receive a video copy of your taping. Your collection of letters, diaries, maps, and books may be included, as can home movies of America's war veterans and those who suffer. You guys, if this has an interest to you, the bottom here says contact an interviewer or be interviewed. Now this is, as mentioned in the text here in the Ann Arbor area, and this is happening across the nation, one on the near neck of the woods. You might want to participate, and there's ups and downs to it. Mark, you've talked about this before. Some people, and when they do, they speak of it in a hushed and honored tone. But you guys, there's, you know, a lot of young people to be woven that are true. They think that if I go in and say, they'll use my name or this or that, and go again, I don't even think it's a thousand World War II vets are dying every day now because there aren't that many of them left. But I doubt it. When they could literally say, a thousand American World War II veterans are dying every day because millions and millions are thinning. Be the Good Shepherd. If you're listening, maybe your grandfather, maybe your father, maybe your uncle, maybe your aunt, maybe your mom, who knows? Maybe one of your relatives that is not listening to this hour. I'm going to give you that phone number. If you're in California, I'm certain if this is going on around the nation, you can call this phone number and I know it's the answer. They'll give you the phone number closest to you. I think that they do that for you. to history because they want to worry about it. Sure, but you know what, I want to do something that didn't use a, that be the good shepherd. You know, even in these times, there are still the people who, and some of them are, they're not around now because they're older, lost, they're in thinking things were done 10 years ago. But you know, they've got that hotline in them and I could talk to you. If they've got that seat of, well, you need to work on them. You need to bring them back to the fold, even if you have to kind of search them out a little bit right now. about well we barely knew him and if you feel okay but either good she's in the morning from mark i killed the forty well one of the things here too as we get a lot of people what would happen people that we know this is something i do want to touch on yes weapons wednesday war people are first primary weapon without the uh... platform all the guns world will make any difference uh... one of the things we need to keep an eye on here too is uh... some of our people are all you know again single and they're alone They are getting older. You want to keep an eye on people on a daily basis if you can. Squad leaders, team leaders, you need to make sure you touch base. Things happen to people. We don't want anybody to slip through the cracks on this. There is no reason for it to happen. There is no excuse whatsoever. You are all going to have to pitch in to make it happen. We are only human. There are only so many people with so many hours in each day. But everybody has to use the buddy system on this, and that's one of the best ways to operate, really. For our militia units, if you have young and old, you need to team them up. One older person and one younger person, that's the buddy system. While we're not mobilized, when you're mobilized, you're all in one place, you're all together, you're all stuck in one place at the same time. So that's going to be pretty obvious. But in the meantime, typically you're spread out around a whole lot of different locations. You're going to have to know who's who in the zoo. You've got to make sure you keep track of who is running where right now. When something doesn't click or for instance you make a breakfast date or something or sometime in the evening you're going to meet for dinner or lunch during the day, something happens where there's a misconnect or something. Maybe it's worth checking up on and finding out what's happening with that friend no matter who it is. We're not going to let anybody slip through the cracks. This is something I have been concerned about because some of our people are very energetic and very active and just do things on their own. Something can happen in traveling. Sometimes they can be attacked. Sometimes they can just have an accident. Other times, hey, time does catch up with all of us. We're all getting older, guys. Just something to touch on. Before we go any farther to or getting close the top of the hour remember that fog I figured might be coming in down. It's there now. Oh, we're getting that ground cover and again guys this is the kind of stuff especially when you're using weapons systems. Kind of fog allows you to move and not be seen if you're you know what you're doing if you stay to the tree lines and you stay to the fog and the cover you can move and move quickly without any detection whatsoever. So this is one of those critical periods of You know, time to always think about twilight or, you know, again, just before sunset or as sunset's occurring and just before. You have major light changes with optics. You have major obstructions. This is why in many cases you hear about, well, they attack before dawn. Why do they attack before dawn? Well, it's always coldest before the dawn. Yeah, and the weather shifts are there. The fog is denser, is heaviest. Taking advantage of the fog means that you don't have to put up battle smokes. uh... which is another thing but if you will supplement if you have areas where you need to cover if you're moving through them and at night at the same way down this this would be enough ground cover to easily move infantry and move them with a reasonable range so that you can do you know eliminate some of the the defensive threat to a same moving on a position something to think about if you're the one defending technology wise uh... with our night vision this is something we have to take into consideration to his net all-ya and again not shorten your range on your night vision and don't let them tell you that through fog all because it is a solid in the air. It is a particulate in the air and eventually like it's you know you get enough particulate between you and it it's like standing behind a solid wall. The wall isn't going to look a mind you guys. The other thing is something that someone might use to move in close it you know what as it covers them it also crown them isn't it when you know if you're coming in and you think well someone might move with it. This is when the whole of the intermittent and it's not a cross path when you interrupt with fishing line and the clothes to make a contact. Exactly. Okay, this is when the whole of the line out front and it doesn't have to be one line, it's individual segments might two feet long that way you know if someone does comes in at one end of the line and pops the other end that doesn't make any sense does it? You don't know where they are. So the whole of the front is spread in three foot small sections isn't it? So when they come through you know where they are coming through. And especially with all of the other sensor technology we have, you've even talked about both wire and wireless seismic intrusion. If you know where the low points are, remember you can actually use this as a confidence builder by not necessarily overtly covering the area, but covering and for instance trapping and or creating barriers or trip lines. Trip lines, if you put them out in the open, We'll back a person off just as quickly as a barbed wire for a reason because if you can see one, the logic is what can't you see? And that's a technique that worked. I will say that a couple of 100 yard or a couple hundred yard rolls of kite string with nothing attached to them is pretty darn valuable, guys. especially laid at about a foot and a half off the ground wrapped around trees wrapped all over. In fact, just keep running it. You tell two guys, hey, string that out in front of us in that area there through that tree line. Make it about three tiers deep and everywhere until you run out and then tie it off at one end, tie it off here and there randomly, tie it off at the other end and then walk away. For the price of a dollar store roll of kite string, you can make a whole bunch of people move somewhere else. Now, think about just how funneling your opponent. Yeah, and then we'll make them feel good because wait a minute, there's that area where you have the fog cover, and because you've got to figure out how to infiltrate or exfiltrate during a certain window, and that's where you can use the seismic intrusion technology to confirm motion if you want to. And at the end of that is where the L-type ambush is set up and ready to go. And it's not even a majority or force, it's just a given that a percentage of your force will be involved. in covering that area of approach in a unique way. And again offering the enemy the opportunity to become a unique casualty, which is the whole idea. Creativity. Now the other thing about situations like that, people go, Mark you can't see very far in the fog. Let me point something out about most of the men that I know that were in the setup. Ambushes. Okay, usually Ranger teams, real Ranger teams guys. uh... the actual ambush range distance to the trail if they were actually engaging in their little area of control with the killed on the great with eleven feet from them there's a reason number one hiking a lot to canopy dance foliage they would move in and begin they would not be above ground it would actually quietly begin and that they would be in a conventional format but they would be at very very close range So the same scenario played out using the same concept where a designated kill zone is already set up. In other words, you will saturate that area of contact with fire. Whether you can see it perfectly or not makes no difference. There is a pattern, an X pattern, or a Z pattern that's used for covering the area, and each person in front of them, only so many feet away, has a similar area of control. Every foot of that area of control is regulated by fire or by demolition slash anti-personnel devices. One of the things to remember is the other reason they would dig in is Mr. Claymore is not your friend. Does everybody understand that? Claymores are used as part of a secondary kill zone. You would fire. The targets move away from you, typically trying to escape from the fire, moving away from it as they shoot. At a given point, it's, you know, a clock or, you know, first of all, you give a signal that can be a whistle, it can be a scream, it can be a, well, both, you know, a tracer, a magazine, a tracer. But when everybody sees it, everybody drops down. Everybody drops into the cover they've created that they've dug in. and then the clay morse are activated now one reason that they everybody takes cover if the clay mars are going to be used as well it does say front towards enemy yeah a lot of what operas yeah but a person comes right back on you so if you're not paying attention no you don't hold it out for the like issue i'm waiting for somebody to do that movie you know over here we go you know that probably man i'm touching off it's a little secret i know and nobody else does what is that you're stupid But I'm waiting for it. It's going to happen. They just wait long enough and they can put it into a movie and nobody's going to think they asked the right question. But about 6 to 10 percent of whatever is active in that charge is coming back your direction. So that's just a little footnote. There is actually a backwash, like a percentage of fragmentation is coming back in the other direction. That's why front towards enemy, but you also make sure that you know where it is and you take cover when you activate. Clack, clack, clack. So, that's a rule across the board. Now, for that reason, Don, again, with this fog rolling in, take advantage of it in motion for exfiltration. If we have a situation where you're trying to exfiltrate out of an area, then again, the fog is covered. It does actually conceal. It envelops you. One of the things to make sure that you do, though, is also utilize noise discipline. While they cannot see you, they can still guide on you by flop, clack, clack, clack, clack, clack, clack, clack. What's that? There's something running through the grass line there. Flop, flop, flop, flop, boom, boom, boom, boom. Oh, man, that hurt. So noise discipline is critical also, and it's something you need to study. This means tightening everything up. Straps are tightened up and taped. Web gear is cinched where it needs to be. Mag pouches are sealed. There's something inside. You make sure it's buffered so it doesn't bounce around inside. Clump, clump, clump. Even your canteens, guys. Remember? Gloop, gloop, gloop. And everybody goes, well, one canteen. It's just one canteen. Yeah, and you've got 120 men running. What a herd of glunk water bubbles. Yeah, exactly. So these are all things that have to be taken into consideration. Uh oh, we are at the top of the hour, by the way. And in fact, we're headed towards it. Don't worry, our engineer is taking care of business and we'll be moving along shortly because we've got Dutch coming up right behind us by the way for all of our listeners. Don, your number for night vision one more time for our friends listening and remember guys, weapon sight is available. Rule number one, know when to get out of Dodge. More importantly, rule number two, know how to get out of Dodge. I don't mean the Chrysler proving grounds. They are just as well protected. It's a case in point that everybody always has taught and shown how to get in, but a lot of times, especially like I said, movies are terrible. They show you all the really key points. Of course, even in many cases, they are actually intentionally designed to show you how to make mistakes, intentionally gearing you towards making mistakes. so there are things that need to be looked into taking into consideration. Another real quick note here, this is really neat Don, on the wholesale section for Maine military, and we're going to cut off here in a second with the music. In the wholesale section they've got OD combat cap, $1,000 for $12. These are the patrol coffee can caps, they're in small. But for all you guys who got a bottle of munchins out there, brand new patrol caps, OD greens, those can be cammered out to other colors, guys. Not that hard. OD's the base color at $12 for a dozen and I'm pretty sure he's got the free tip. Where have all the military surplus stores gone? Don't worry, you don't need one. Because everything you need at Military Surplus is at mainmilitary.com. That's M-A-I-N-E military dot com, one of the last surviving true military surplus stores in the country.
