Frank Whalen returned from a two-week break to discuss major news stories, primarily focusing on CIA Director Leon Panetta's June 27, 2010 comments about Afghanistan. Panetta stated that Al Qaeda presence in Afghanistan numbers only 50 to 100 people at most, yet the U.S. maintains 93,000 troops and 130,000 contractors there at enormous cost. Whalen argued this reveals no legitimate military objective in Afghanistan and discussed how private security contractors pay millions weekly in bribes to Taliban and insurgent groups to move supplies. He also covered Panetta's comments on the Taliban's current weakness, Osama bin Laden's presumed death since the early 2000s, and Iran's uranium enrichment. Caller Andrew from Michigan contributed discussion on lithium mining in Afghanistan, heroin production, and the broader resource extraction agenda.

And we are alive today, and I'm glad you're here glad I'm here as well obviously I've taken about two weeks off and did a lot of a lot of time soul-searching praying listening trying to pay attention and Inevitably as is always the case with me anyway I had to keep busy because it's just in my nature and just not good with sitting still But yes, so we're back here today and I'm very excited to be here. I spoke with Joe this morning and it was great to hear his voice. So I just want to say thank you to him for his understanding of my need for some, I don't know, sabbatical time, I guess you could say. And thanks to all of you for your understanding. And of course, thanks for everybody that pitched in and made that possible. I know that Ray picked up extra time and I know that You know gosh, it's just been a it's been a weird time Needless to say so yeah I am glad you're here. I'm glad I'm here and it is Monday, unfortunately. So hopefully we can make it a little bit better for you through the course of the show here today. So here's the plan for today. First day back. Of course, you're welcome to weigh in with your thoughts on any issue. Simply pick up the phone and dial 888-747-1968. That's 888-747-1968. The alternative phone number, of course, 208-935-094, 208-935-0094. I have a lot of news to cover, but of course inevitably I'm sure I missed some things in two weeks. I did my best not to immerse myself in that part of the world. That's a depressing part. The news, it's important, it's vital, absolutely important and vital. But again, you know, I caught up pretty quick. At least I'd like to think so. But, like I said, maybe I missed some things. You're welcome to clue me in and of course let me know what I missed and chastise me for not being here if you'd like. That's fine too. So, yeah, otherwise we have some news to cover for the next three hours and I'm glad you're along for the ride. A couple of other bits of required information, keep in mind this. The website for the network, www.themicroeffectlive.com, themicroeffectlive.com. Great stuff there. New look though, but same great stuff. You get the information how to listen online, the information to listen on satellite, the information how to listen over the telephone, and of course, how to find AM or FM stations near you that carry elements of this network. So it's a fantastic opportunity to get connected and find out a myriad of different ways to listen. There's really no other way to broadcast that we can think of. And if we do think of one, I imagine Joe will pull it off. That's just his nature. So we also... I wanted to point out I'm trying to remember all the details here, right? We got the chip in tab, left hand side of the main page. Of course, that allows you to support our efforts here. And you can, of course, make a donation there. You can also call into the network and make a donation over the phone with your credit card. There's also a snail mail address if you feel more comfortable sending something in that fashion. Now keep in mind, at the end of this week, Friday, Here on the show we're giving away the burkeys that we have available and in a big drawing So I hope that you have entered this if you have not yet done So please do one dollar will get you into the running at this point There's a travel burkey water purification system and also a burkey light water purification system. So a dollar for each one It's just that simple. So I hope that you will Go ahead and enter yourself into that and like I said the chip and tab or just call into the network and they'll guide you through the whole process But it's a wonderful opportunity We're appreciative to all of you who have been doing this and we're certainly appreciative to new millennium concepts for making this possible But this allows us to continue to do what we do and I hope that you guys appreciate that and realize that this is It's a labor of love, but it is labor. So your support is immensely appreciated Other things you can do, of course, subscribe to the podcast, subscribe to the archives, purchase t-shirts, as well as visiting all the sponsors and advertisers you see listed there on the main page. They can tell where the hits are coming from. They know that you're coming from our network, and of course, they will stay with us as a result of that. It's also the banner there in the chat room on the main page. So please do that. Support those people who make these things possible for us, and we appreciate it immensely. Getting the phone numbers of course the website for the show www.frankwhalenlive.com. Options left hand side one says interact. If you click there it will take you to a page that gives you my email address, my snail address and there's also PayPal donation tab if you'd like to support this program specifically. And for those who have, like I said, God bless you for that. I really wanted to thank I have so many people but I don't like to do that without permission. I mentioned their names on the air. But as we were heading there toward my break and I was kind of on the fence about, I told Joe, I said, hey, I'm going to come back and finish July for sure. But a lot of you guys made it possible for me to take care of my rent and help out with that stuff. And I just want to say thank you sincerely. My plan at this point is to finish out the year and then I'll be done with it. Not I mean obviously that's just a plan The best laid plans right they're always subject to change but at this point Yeah, I think that by the end of this year. I think I can accomplish everything I need to accomplish, but For the most part if something big happens in that time I'll stick it out because I'll be here with you Through all the rough times this one of the things that Joe and I were discussing is this network versus other networks It's a weird thing But I can say this the Joe is not in this for the money none of us are either and I know certainly you're not either but I think if the the fit hits the shan as they say The other networks are gonna run. They're gonna hit the bank They're gonna cash out and they're gonna they're gonna hit the road and they're gonna be done with it, but I think that Joe and I and the other amazing broadcasters here, not that I'm calling myself that, but I am a broadcaster here, but the amazing broadcasters that are here would stick it out until they forcibly prevented us from broadcasting. We'll be here throughout all of this. As long as you guys continue to support us and continue to make all these things possible, we will be here. Okay? So again, thanks for all that and I hope that I don't know. I just hope that this makes some sense. Okay. Another thing, in addition to the big drawings taking place Friday here on the show, giving away the Travel Berkey and the Berkey Light, I also wanted to remind you of this, that as of midnight Thursday, that's the 15th, okay? So we've got a couple more days. You can still do this. We had one of our last interviews we did before I took some time off was with Perry A. from the Living Clay. So they of course have the calcium bentonite clay their website is www.livingclayco.com and They have a deal going on right now With this show so here's how it works between now and Thursday if you place an order and You use an order for anything and use the code Frank you will get a free copy of the book Living clay And that's the book by Perry, so it's fantastic. It's $20 value So that purchase, like I said, if you just use the word Frank, the co-word Frank, you're going to get a free copy of the book. So it's fantastic really, like I said, $20 book and it's a reference book as well. So if you have issues with certain things, you can look them up and see what the clay will do, if anything, for what you've got as an issue. gauge my words here a little carefully. My point is this, it's basically a free book with any purchase. So the book's valued at 20 bucks. If you go and you purchase the small thing of clay and that's only 10 bucks, obviously you're making money on the whole deal. And everybody should have the clay and we talked about that with Perry in regards to the oil situation. Now, again, that's just par for the course. Here I have been away for two weeks and we still have oil situations brewing. It looks like it's gonna be around for a long time. So I want you to take some steps to do some things for yourself so that you can be ready, you can be prepared, and you can be able to not just survive all these things, which is vital of course, but also you can thrive and make sure that you're healthy enough to be able to do the things that you need to do and healthy enough to do things you want to do. So consider that free book there if you use the code word FRANK with any purchase between now and midnight Thursday. Okay? Alrighty, all that having been said, let's jump into some news, shall we? It was an interesting experience to dig back through all the things that have taken place, I guess, in the last two weeks. And I'm sure I missed quite a bit. I'm sure that I found quite a bit. So we'll talk with this one. This one really kind of perturbed me when I first saw it. And maybe you saw it, maybe you did not. But this is from the Washington Post, and it came out on June 27. It's a little while ago. CIA Director Leon Panetta called the war in Afghanistan, quote unquote, a very tough fight. And acknowledge that quote there are some serious problems. Now of course, what kind of problems are we talking about? Well, of course there was the thing with General Stanley McChrystal and his anti-Obama feelings that were very apparent in that Rolling Stone article. The one that basically got him canned from his job. But he was in charge of Afghanistan. So, again, they took the guy who was in charge of CENTCOM Like the entire war effort, not just Afghan, the stand specifically, but everything. And they moved him down. They moved him down. That's General David Petraeus. They moved him, basically demoted him. And it seemed kind of strange because they gave it to Petraeus, you know, within a couple of days of deciding or just a day of deciding that McChrystal would be basically let go. So they gave it to Petraeus, which seems a little strange. That he could be in charge of all the war efforts and then he just basically gets Afghanistan specifically on his plate. So I figured that indicated to me nobody really wanted the gig. Or else again, maybe this is a shot at Petraeus. Like hey, we don't like what you've been doing and we're going to basically demote you without demoting you. And that's pretty much what happened. Now this ties in with a lot of other stories we've addressed over time. Some of those stories include the one that Eric Massa, who was the disgraced representative, I believe out of New York. It was New York, I believe. Anyway, Eric Massa was saying that Dick Cheney was in touch with Petraeus about a political coup d'etat. Now coup d'etat, by definition, is a military takeover. So there's no such thing really as a political coup d'etat. You know, it just doesn't make sense. So, you know, we speculated that, I wonder if Eric Massa was simply, you know, divulging some things to people who have ears to hear to let them know, hey, I'm going to start talking unless, you know, something good happens for me. He's up on charges, ethics violations and so on and so forth. So it's possible those will get dropped. It's also possible he'll be suicided. We just don't know. The point is, what was he trying to reveal there? Now, if there was a military coup d'etat in discussion, It would make sense that somebody like Dick Cheney would be behind that because obviously when Dick Cheney was vice president of George W. Bush, there was some talk there about a military dictatorship in America, one that would be imposed by a martial law or some sort of emergency. Again, you can go back to Tommy Franks' comments in a cigar fishing out a magazine in December of, was it 2003, I believe. Basically what he had said was, Any sort of mass casualty terrorist event taking place on US soil, on any of our ally soil, or any Western nation soil would result in a scrapping of the Constitution and a shifting to a military dictatorship. So it seemed to me, and I think all of us at the time. that the Bush administration is very interested in this. They're very interested in a military dictatorship. And even Bush had said, I don't mind a dictatorship as long as I'm the dictator. This was clearly on their agenda. So the idea that the dictionary would be talking to David Petraeus about that makes sense. Now, this makes sense in terms of a military coup d'etat, a political coup d'etat. David Petraeus ain't going to run. And even if he did, why would he? And why would anyone vote for him? You can't look at the track record of this war, the war on terror and say it's a success, not even remotely. So it doesn't make sense that it would be, he would run for office. It does make sense that he would be actively involved in a military coup d'etat. Kind of like, hey, you know, seat it out to the people you trust and see what kind of people we got willing to overthrow dictator Barack Obama. See what I mean? See, Dick Cheney would probably welcome a military dictatorship in America as long as it wasn't somebody like Obama in charge. As long as it was somebody who was a puppet for the administration, the right-wing administration, neocons, if you will. Does that make sense? So anyway, long and short of it all, is this. We've got this situation in Afghanistan, and it is a situation, and CIA Director Leon Panetta calls it, said it has some serious problems. Panetta said that the Taliban, quote, is engaged in greater violence, end quote, now than when President Obama took office. So Afghanistan is actually worse now than it was when Obama first came in. Now think about that. Because we had a troop surge, we had all kinds of things. Barack Obama given the award for the Nobel Peace Prize, basically, and then turned around and sent more troops into Afghanistan. So clearly, You would think that over the last two years that we've had President Obama in office that things would have gotten better, but they haven't gotten better. Now, does that make sense to you? If we take steps to increase troop levels and things get worse, would we continue to increase troop levels? It doesn't make sense. It's not logical. But again, there's nothing logical about this. I think the point I'm trying to make here is there is no military objective in Afghanistan. There's none. And it goes on to talk about that. So there is greater violence now that the Taliban is engaged in than when President Obama took office and Panetta said that they're stronger in some ways but weaker in others, noting that quote, we're undermining their leadership, end quote. Panetta said that Al Qaeda's presence in Afghanistan is now relatively small. Interesting. on a number of levels. Let me ask you to stay with us. Of course, we're up to our first break here on the show. Please stay with us. We'll be back with more frankly speaking radio here and only here on the Micro Effect Radio Broadcasting Network. where everything is under their control. I don't know how many people actually heard this when it came out. We're referring to some quotes from CIA Director Leon Panetta talking about Afghanistan. Now obviously with the situation with Petraeus and McChrystal and all that jazz, this is very significant. Not just because of what he says thus far, but what he continues to say. Huge, huge quote that I'm about to give you. Now remember he left off saying that things have gotten into a situation of greater violence. There are some serious problems in Afghanistan and Al Qaeda's presence in Afghanistan is now relatively small. But things have increased since Obama came into office. Now again, you have to say that doesn't make any sense, given what we've been trying to accomplish and what's been going on. Obama extended the olive branch to the Muslim world, we all remember that, and of course he increased the troop levels there. Now remember all during the campaign between John McCain and Barack Obama, and even just in the primaries, everybody out there talking about various things. Especially the very first Republican candidate. Debate you remember that there were like eight guys on stage and every one of them was trying to one up each other Well, I'd bomb Afghanistan. Why bomb Afghanistan impacts 10. Oh, yeah Well, I'll raise your Afghanistan impacts and I'll raise you to Iran as well. Oh, well, I drop nukes Oh, I drop nukes everywhere. It was ridiculous and that's that neocon mentality Like I said them Nobody has really talked about bringing the troops home They've all talked about getting the troops out of Iraq So, Afghanistan, it appears, we're there for the long haul, but like I said, what is the military objective there? We don't know. We don't know. We've never heard. Listen to what Leon Panetta says about the big problems in Afghanistan, okay? This is, I think, the most important part. CIA Director Leon Panetta quote, I think at most we're looking at maybe 50 to 100, maybe less. It's in that vicinity. There's no question that the main location of Al-Qaeda is in tribal areas of Pakistan," said Panetta, added that winning in Afghanistan means, quote, having a country that is stable enough to ensure there is no safe haven for Al-Qaeda or for a militant Taliban that welcomes Al-Qaeda. The CIA director, Leon Panetta, said that as far as Al-Qaeda's presence in Afghanistan, there are maybe, maybe at most, between 50 and 100 people. We have between 50 and 100 people who are members of al-qaeda who are in Afghanistan 50 to 100 at most he says we are fighting a war thousands and thousands and thousands of American troops tens of thousands of American troops we have tens of thousands of government contractors security contractors who are in Afghanistan. So that puts it at hundreds of thousands of people working for the US government to root out Al Qaeda. And they have 50 people there. Between 50 and 100 at most. 50 and 100 at most. Unbelievable. That's why we're there, folks. We got to root out Al Qaeda. And there's between 50 and 100 of them. I would wager there are probably more Al Qaeda taps. than that in like Canada probably than in Afghanistan, but we don't have 200,000 people in Canada. Do we? No. There's between 50 and 100 Al Qaeda personnel in Afghanistan and we have that kind of troop commitment that kind of again expenditure in money and equipment and manpower and certainly American lives for 50 people. between 50 and 100 in Afghanistan. And that's at most, he says. This is the director of the CIA. So you'd think he kind of knows what he's talking about. It goes on. On the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden, Panetta said that it goes back, quote, to the early 2000s that we would have the last precise information on where bin Laden is. Yes, because that's right around the time that he died. Pineda said, quote, since then, it's been very difficult to get any intelligence on his exact location, end quote. Pineda said that the Taliban leadership is now, quote, probably at its weakest point since 9-11 and its escape into Afghanistan and Pakistan. On whether American clinic cleric Anwar El-Awlaki is on an assassination list, Pineda responded that Awlaki, quote, is a terrorist and yes, he's a US citizen, but he is first and foremost a terrorist and we're going to treat him like a terrorist. He said that the US does not have quote an assassination list, but I can tell you this, we do have a terrorist list and he's on it. So, what have we learned so far? That the Taliban, remember the increased violence that's happened since Obama took office was Taliban violence. But he says that the Taliban is at its weakest point since September 11, 2001. And yet we're still there. And there are serious problems with our war. Al Qaeda, which would be separate from the Taliban, only has about 50 to 100 people in the entire country of Afghanistan. And we're still there. Now, if this doesn't sound like a miserable failure to you, I don't know what does. But it also indicates that, again, A, there is no military objective in Afghanistan, B, that we're there for a different reason, and C, this whole thing is a sham. Anyway, we'll talk more about that when we come back. Stay with us, short break, more frankly speaking radio, right after this. are beginning to close their doors. Use it if you like. We left off talking about this story and I think again such an important comment made there by the director of the CIA Leon Panetta He said in regards to Al Qaeda's presence in Afghanistan quote. I think at most we're looking at maybe 50 to 100 maybe less That's people that's not battalions. That's not you know companies 50 to 100 people in Afghanistan who are members of Al Qaeda 50 to 100 He made that comment according to the Washington Post Well, it was on the 27th is when they put it out. That's June 27th. So this story needs to have a lot more traction He also goes on to basically say that they don't have any idea where bin Laden is and they haven't known anything Since the early 2000s. I would suggest that he basically means December of 2001 when all the reports came out that if some bin Laden had died now We also heard of course right after September 11 2001 We heard the guy had kidney problems and he would need a dialysis machine in his cave and all kinds of things like that. So you'd be pretty easy to find the guy. But here we are. Have not found him. For like 10 years. We've been looking almost. 10 years almost. Have not yet found him. And of course supposedly we're looking for him before then. So odds are he's probably dead. Again, aside from the evidence and people like Benazir Bhutto came out and said, yeah, Osama bin Laden is dead and then of course she was executed. She was assassinated like a couple of days later. Things like that should make some sense. Here we've got the war in Afghanistan that was launched in the aftermath. of September 11, 2001. We are still there. No military objective except that when the people of Afghanistan stand up, we will stand down. Well, apparently they don't want to stand up and apparently they don't need to stand up because there's only 50 stinking Al Qaeda members in the entire country. We have hundreds of thousands of people there, but there's only 50 guys. Now, does this sound like we needed a troop surge in Afghanistan? Probably not. Yet that's exactly what our president Barack Obama, a member of the Democratic Party, the party of peace, decided to send more troops in after winning the Nobel Peace Prize. If this were a movie and we had a script in this fashion that you would have these people doing these things. You would read that script and you'd say, I can't green light this. This is ludicrous. A president who wins the peace prize and turns around and sends troops in, you know, a troop surge to deal with 50 guys that's retarded. This makes America look stupid. Well, never. We'll never make this movie. Yet, that's exactly where we're at. So these are important points. He also goes on to say this. Panetta said Iran is continuing to develop its nuclear capability and the country now has enough low enriched uranium for two weapons, quote unquote. Okay. Obviously, they need more components in that, but just if you're going to base it purely on the enriched uranium, they have enough for two weapons. They don't have anything else, but they've got that, so we're supposed to be scared of them. Panetta said of the military contractor Blackwater, now called XE, quote, we have no contract in which they're engaged in any CIA operations, adding that, quote, we're reviewing all the bids that we have with that company, end quote. Panetta also said, quote, frankly, the morale at the CIA is higher than it's ever been. It's higher than it's ever been. The central intelligence agency. So you'd think if they know something and they're really confident, their morale is hugely high, and they're saying there's between 50 and 100 members of Al Qaeda in the entire country of Afghanistan. Now you could say that means we're winning. It sounds to me like a massive, massive waste of time, manpower, effort, equipment, and lives. But that's just my assessment. How can we have serious problems from 50 guys? 50 guys. I mentioned we would take calls and you're more than welcome to make those calls. Our phone number 888-747-1968. Let's go to Andrew in Michigan. Andrew, welcome to the show. Welcome back, Frank. Thank you very much, sir. I mean, I enjoy listening to you, but reruns only go so far. Well, I appreciate that very much. Yeah, that is. I mean, we're wanting to go to this electric society. All we have to have batteries for. Why? But the only thing we've really actually seen from Al-Qaeda, if Al-Qaeda actually did it, was September 11, 2001. That's the only time we've ever seen anything that was really well planned. And of course, we all know this, that there are so many holes in the official story that I don't think any of us actually believe Al-Qaeda was involved in any way, shape, or form with September 11, 2001, which means that standing alone on their own, they've done nothing. that didn't even belong to that model of white. I mean, who knows what kind of game that was too. Yes, absolutely. I'm not denying it happened, but exactly who did it, well that might be a question. Agreed. Especially given not just the official version, the official story, which has so many holes in it, it's not even funny. But we also have other things to contend with, like the fact that Osama bin Laden, you know, he's the reason why we're doing all this, right? He is like the Adolf Hitler of modern times. He is pure evil personified. He is the main enemy of the United States of America. He's not even number one, I believe, on the Most Wanted list. Under his crimes that are listed on the Most Wanted list, it doesn't even list September 11, 2001. They've never actually made a claim of responsibility necessarily for that, and everything they've ever done since then has been, you know, an audio tape or a crappily made video. that's supposed to be claiming responsibility for various things i mean they've got they have done anything you know also number eleven two thousand one was in my humble opinion was attributed al-qaeda in order to create al-qaeda it was attributed to a group that didn't exist in order to recruit people into a group that they could manipulate and use at a later time uh... not realizing that hey maybe if these guys are absolute morons that we won't be able to utilize the fear that they're going to generate like the crotch bomber Like you said, the Times Square bomber. They just don't have any skills. I'm sorry to say. Do you remember the story about the guy that tried to assassinate the Saudi Arabian prince? That was a guy who also came out of the same African Al-Qaeda that we had as the crotch bomber. This guy apparently was so devious and so dastardly and so such a genius what he did was He said I really want to meet the prince and they said why do I meet the prince and he said oh because I'm former Al-Qaeda But I'm renouncing Al-Qaeda renouncing all that stuff, and I just want to shake the man's hand, and they said yeah, I guess That's intelligent right there So, this guy proceeds to get past all the security boards of plan he flies over to see the prints and he gets in the main room with the guy and then he pulls out like a little button or a little switch and he presses it and he completely explodes. was insert into his anal cavity a great deal of explosives. All that did was basically spray everybody in the room with, you know, blood and feces and pieces of his organs. He didn't do anything. And we're supposed to believe these guys are really smart. I mean, unless he was given the Prince of Lapdance at the time, that clearly isn't going to do anything. Children know this. I mean, people who play with fireworks know this. This is not rocket science. Really? We're just there for that. That's it. I mean, I've watched two or three years ago when they were talking about, what do you mean lithium to make these electric car batteries? That's brilliant, Andrew, because I was talking to a friend of mine about electronic power and electronic cars and things like that. And he said that really the key to everything in the future is batteries. And you're right, if you think about how much we rely on these things, cell phones, laptop computers, cars, everything, batteries are the future of power because even if we switch to some sort of uh... free energy even if they were transmitting electricity power grid and all that stuff uh... yet and any energy that we collect uh... from the son of from the winder from water from anything else yet it is going to go to waste unless it's used unless we can store somewhere in which case inside a battery would be ideal see your absolutely red on point such an important point i didn't even think about that but you know they did release the story which again re-released i should say uh... just uh... a few weeks ago saying about the mineral deposits and precious metals and things like that that they have in Afghanistan. So you're right. Yes. I did not know that. Well, that's a brilliant, brilliant point, my friend. I'm glad you brought it up. And of course, we've also talked about in the past. the Poppy's production, heroin, again the street value of heroin in Afghanistan is obviously really small. It's kind of like where I live here in Northwest Arkansas. If I were to buy something from Walmart, it's going to be probably cheaper than if they were going to ship it up to the Walmart in Michigan. So I get a better deal maybe than you would because I'm in Walmart's backyard. Same thing with heroin obviously. They're like, oh, heroin, you know, it's probably everywhere in Afghanistan. But if they ship it over to Europe, the street value of that goes up thousands and tens of thousands of times more. So in order to do that, you know, they have to clear the road. And of course, one of the biggest obstacles to moving heroin from Afghanistan to Europe is Iran. And then of course in Afghanistan, of course the troops that were put in charge of securing the poppy fields was the British Army. And since they took over watching this, the poppy crop has increased exponentially. So now making Afghanistan the number one heroin producer in the world. So yeah, there's a lot to this. It is a money making venture top to bottom. That's a good point. A third world country I'd wager. Barely that. Well, we're getting ready to create the next Saudi Arabia, except it's going to be Afghanistan. And they're going to do it with lithium, which is 100 times more rare than oil. Besides, 20 or 30 years in the future, 100 million Americans on the road. What the heck are we going to do with all these used burn-up batteries? That's a great point. And then all that lithium, I mean, they have storage. all that lithium leaking into our groundwater. Creating one poison for the other. Isn't that always the way? Every solution they offer has a whole series of problems that are associated with those, but they already have those quote unquote solutions hanging in the wings to create more problems, to create more solutions, and keeps the politicians employed, right? You know, you think of nuclear plant that you're byproducts from that you're burying. Sure. It's good fertilizer, I guess. That's wicked stuff. Stuff will be around for the next thousand years. That's it. You burn it up, it goes with carbon monoxide. That's a good point. No, it's really not. These are all excellent points, Andrew. I wanted to say, I'm glad you came back. Everything's cool. Thanks, brother. I appreciate your call. I appreciate the kind words and thanks for listening. Alright, thank you. Alright, buddy. Bye-bye. Zander in Michigan, excellent points and again, here you go. This is what it's all about. This is not a war on terror because there is no war on terror. There are between 50 and 100 at most according to the head of the CIA. Between 50 and 100 people who call themselves Al Qaeda. Now we know they're going to err on the side of caution, which means of those 50 to 100 people, and again, that's kind of a broad range, right? It's either this much or twice that much. Okay, but let's just go with it. Let's say it's 100 max. He said at most between 50 and 100. So at most between 50 and 100 means at most could be 50, but it could also be 100. Let's go with 100. How many people are on a watch list in America for being potentially domestic terrorists? I mean, the no-fly list, for example, would be a shiny example of that. You would think that they would err on the side of caution and say, well, you know, if we've got 100,000 people on the list as being terrorists, then maybe, what, 5% of those might actually be terrorism-inclined, perhaps 5%. So that means of the 100 people who they call Al-Qaeda, probably at least some of those people are not. They just suspect that they are or they're materially supporting them. They're donating money when the little Al-Qaeda people come around because there's, you know, between $1,500 and $100. And what are they going to do? They live in a third world country. They live in caves, right? So they walk out of their caves and they find a tin cup and they go door to door collect money. Because what else are you going to do? You live in Afghanistan. You're not going to the movies. You're not going out to eat. You're not going out on the town. Go to some high-end dinners. Nothing like that. So they're probably collecting money so they say, oh, they collected money. If anyone gives money, they're considered al-Qaeda too. So what I'm saying is when they say at most, 100, that's way at most. Which means that what's the likelihood that there's any al-Qaeda at all in Afghanistan? I think it's a pretty good chance that there's none. which indicates again why do we have so many people there and why are we there. Now I want to go back and refresh your memory on this story which we covered in part on the program a while back and in fact this story, strangely enough, came out about six days before the story we just read where CI director Leon Panetta said that at most between 5100 people who are Al-Qaeda members who are in Afghanistan. This is from the McClatchy News Service and it came out on June 21st. It says, Private security contractors protecting the convoys that supply US military bases in Afghanistan are paying millions of dollars a week in passage bribes to the Taliban and other insurgent groups to travel along Afghan roads at a Congressional investigation released Monday. Okay? US military contractors are invoicing the government, basically, and then outsourcing the work They outsource the work, who they outsource the work, and they pay off people who are members of the Taliban and Al Qaeda in order for us to be able to get our supplies from point A to point B. But there's only between 50 and 100 of these people. You're telling me we can't stop that? Millions of dollars a week to between 50 and 100 people? Can you imagine that being a job? If somebody told you, hey, we have millions of dollars a week available. Millions a week available and we're hiring between 50 and 100 people. Would that job not be the greatest job of all time? Wouldn't that be like the best job you've ever had? That's it. Being a terrorist and being a boogeyman for the US government, if they can point the finger at you, it has a huge payoff. It's the best job out there. It is the best job out there. It must be millions of dollars a week. The payments which are reimbursed by the US government help fund the very enemy the US is attempting to defeat, says the story, and renews questions about the US dependence on private contractors who outnumber troops, American troops in Afghanistan, 130,000 and 93,000. So let's look at the numbers here, folks. How many Al-Qaeda types are there in Afghanistan? 100, at most. At most, 100 people. We have 93,000 troops there and 130,000 government contractors working for the US government in concert. This would be people like Blackwater. We call them government contractors or security contractors. They're basically mercenaries. We have 210,000 armed US workers on the ground hunting 100 people in Afghanistan, costing us millions of dollars a week just in bribes. Are we there to stop Al Qaeda? No. Does this war have a military objective? Not really unless the military objective is making money securing resources, which is what we've said from the start this has been a resource where all of these are and Inevitably Iran will get sucked into this because Iran has resources that we'd like to acquire So clearly that is on the agenda as well. So make no mistake Whether Iran is simply intercepting Heroin shipments out of Afghanistan headed to Europe and therefore costing us a lot of money, which they are or Iran is simply You know a supplier and in a country that has vast oil reserves, which they are either way We need that and they're making that happen Which is why Leon Panetta, of course, in the same breath where he's talking about how there are only 100 people at most who call themselves Al Qaeda who are in Afghanistan. He also goes on to say, hey, by the way, Iran has enough low enriched uranium to make two bombs. Now, of course, they have no delivery method. They have nothing like that. They don't have the rocket technology. They don't have any other technology, but they have enough enriched uranium, so let's go bomb them. See, they can't sell Afghanistan anymore. 50 to 100 people, we have 210,000 people working for the US government on the ground there. We can't take care of between 50 and 100 people at most, and it's costing us what? Millions a week just in brides, little-known personnel, training, food, costs, weapons, all manner of things. So is it billions and billions of dollars because of 50 people to 100 people at most. Do the math, it's ridiculous. Stay with us, we'll take a short break and be back. Hour number two, more frankly speaking, radio's on the way. For more information on the powerful Berkey line of products, go to themicroeffect.com and click on Berkey Water Filters.
