Live 365. So if you'd like to be among the first on the New Terror Watchlist, visit Knob Creek Gun Range. Own your skills with family and individual memberships and unlimited range time. Stock up on ammo before the gun bans go into effect, or buy a handgun, assault rifle, or reloading supplies. Knob Creek Gun Range in West Point, Kentucky is one mile off Dixie Highway on Highway 44 at 690, Richie Lane. Look, it's not like we're bugging the phones or anything, so give him a call at 922-4457. That's 922-4457. Or visit machinegunshoot.com. It's easier to find than my birth certificate. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from Tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But Tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate. And your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number and you've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children and people Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God, it did torture freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each god given right we only watch him tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave? This is still the land of the well good evening ladies and gentlemen. This is the evening intelligence report I'm our corny and I'm Donald Thatcher one day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters both on and behind the lines in occupied territories Central, Southwest, East, and North. Well ladies and gentlemen you're listening to us on... LibertyTreeRadio.4mg.com, PBN.4mg.com, and we are in live 365. Then go to Liberty Tree Radio. We are also on AM and FM micro stations, CB Bay stations, and Ultra Net technologies both east and west of the Mississippi, along with southern and central Alaska. We are in the Hallmark Network on the eastern seaboard from the top of Maine. to the bottom floor. From the bottom floor across the arc of the Gulf of Mexico, headed towards the Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Chukka, Nebraska, the third of Wyoming, and then over to Iowa slash Iowa. Well, from there, over the Mississippi River, back to the Blue Ridge, or the Smoky Mountains there, and the Golden Spike Project. That's right, 24-7 coverage across the ridges and down into the valleys and spreading out across the whole of the Well, middle part of the United States to make a bridge and bridge that gap. Party on the beach this Saturday, party on the beach this Saturday, party on the beach this Saturday, meeting at the restaurant on Sunday, meeting at the restaurant on Sunday, a meeting at the restaurant on Sunday. Make a point of contacting the people accordingly to see about linking up with all of the things that are happening and we'll go from there. Well, Don, what's the date today, sir? Mark, it is the 8th day of July. You're of our lord 2010. Again, July 8th, 2010. And I think I heard a beep already. Yes, I believe it. Michael Desser, Mark asked me to call in. I'm here too. Appreciate it. Uh oh, and I heard another beep. Who else do we have? I got Chip from Colorado. Hey Chip, listening or... Hey, all the gang's all here. I'm here in double talk. Go ahead. Well, I would say what Mike's here for recent chip. There chip go ahead Okay, I'm calling to verify a rumor and that's all I'm saying it is and I heard yesterday in town and I understand that there's something going on down along the border called wet back lottery Have you heard something like that? Well, Mike Neser's right here. He can answer you Mike. Did you hear that? No, I yes, I heard it, but I haven't heard anything about that at all. Nope What I understand it's supposed to be is the drugers that are going self bound with their packs full of money are starting to be intercepted now and that's supposed to be millions of dollars each time they take a hit and I thought that was kind of weird but I thought I'd check and see if that was really out there. Well, it'd be interesting. It wouldn't be surprising if somebody isn't doing that at some point or another. The biggest thing is going south, they really don't conceal themselves. They just bebop right back across the border. So we don't see a whole lot of traffic. Unless, Mike, you see something strange or different there, it's mostly northbound, not a whole lot of southbound running, at least with everything we've seen so far. I'll tell you what, if you want to get the cartel a little bit irate and if you want to up your property value so to speak like what you hold should be ready for when the cartel gets there, intercept one or two of those boys and stay in that general area, only take that money and buy lots of bullets. I was thinking that myself. Again, that's not a bad plan. Mike, go ahead. You were going to say? No, that sounds like an interesting prospect. I understand that they sent a lot of this stuff through the wire through Western Union back to the south, but I haven't heard of them in any anybody intercept them. But that sounds like an interesting prospect. I might want to invest in that lottery. We could definitely buy a couple of GP mediums. Well, one thing to do when you're in a battle, you want to control the battlefield, don't you? And you know what? One good portion of controlling the battlefield is to step to a particular area and say, come here, boy, I got something for you. And that would certainly make that action more than sure. More than sure. Because you know you'd really steam the pipes of a couple of people down there who were expecting some money to come their way and if that were to happen, like I say, I'd buy me a couple automatic weapons and I'd buy me some big piles of bullets for them. because if one were to do that and not leave town, you'd be pretty busy in a real short time. Right, somebody better make sure they got a mountain of ammo and a whole lot of troops to back it up. The one thing about that is again, what we've always said, they're not exfiltrating back across the border via the illegal route. That actually creates a lot of other consternation and difficulty with management and control. If they are using a route, I would assume that the, in fact, and I'm sure they're smart enough to do this, they would have an evacuation route that would not draw attention to any other activities, and it would be a policy that would be a no-man scenario. In other words, nobody messes with anybody else. Otherwise, it creates a lot of problems within the inter-competition rivalry factors. the other thing is that majority of what they're doing was going south one way or another issues going over the bar it's always said before the stop everything at the board going south tax every dollar they have you want to see the world change and i hear some real screaming All this money that was bought, you know, grabbed under the table, it's all going south to Mexico for whatever reason. A lot of these people, in theory, aren't involved in drugs. They're just busy raking in American dollars and running them down to Texas. You know, or forgive me, down south of Texas or down south of Mexico or down south of Arizona. Well, all you got to do is stop every vehicle headed southbound, but they're not doing that. Despite all their BS about the firearms, for instance, all the guns are coming from America, they're not really worried about that. That was propaganda for the gun grab. Otherwise, anything and everything is going south and they're not even blinking about, oh, we can't stop that. We can't do anything about that. We're going to be able to interfere with that. I mean the oldest trick in the book is come across with a couple of rubber skins and have a vehicle with a real good set of real tired lugs because you drive over the border, grab four tires, come back over, don't declare the tires. They wheel them off, put another set of junk rims with the baldies on them and drive north the next day. Sometimes even the same day. Just so they don't have to pay the declaration. I mean nobody worries about it headed southbound. That was a trick out where we were. Of course, everything else was being stolen and carried south anyway. If it was stolen, it was south, and it'd go into the pipeline, and anything stolen in Arizona would show up over like in New Mexico or farther still typically over in Texas and vice versa. They'd steal a bunch of stuff in Texas, they'd go down into the pipeline, run across the Mexican border deep beyond the Mexican border with the U.S., come back up in Arizona or come back up in California in a number of different locations. That stuff we tracked back in the day when I was down there on the border, that's what it's like now. So, good question. As far as activities like that taking place, beware, we have a different mission and the other side is probably going to try and fabricate a scenario like that anyway. So, be ready for it. I was just wondering if Mike was going to have a second one of those leader groups get togethers. I heard the other day the one he was playing was full. Oh, well Mike, you've had training operations down there. Now Mike's in a little different area, though the guys have all been there to train. Oh, I was thinking it was HD. No, this is Mike Nasser. But go ahead Mike, feedback. What's happening down there in your corner of Arizona right now? Go ahead. Well, we don't have any training planned on right now. We had one back in November, January, and in April. And it's smoking hot down here. There's nothing planned on the horizon until for another 60, 70 days right now. And for that I can't speak with HD. I'm not sure what they've got cooking down there at all. That was my mistake. Real quick question on that though, let's get clarification. We say hot, you're talking about activity, you're not talking about temperature, you're talking about actual activity right now. Over. Well, you know, he had said something about having a leaders training exercise type of deal, and that's what I was talking about, activity down here. It's pretty hot right here. But then again, you know, a lot of the things that are going on now. The stuff that I'm hearing off of the news is not talking about a lot of the things that I'm hearing through the pipeline that are going actually on the border. I'm about 100 miles north of the border, but then again, this is where they've been catching those people. That's where those thermal imaging pictures that were taken, that's the same place where that deputy was priest, only about eight in the house from my house. The activity is not just on the border itself. This is a main corridor coming up through here. It's kind of wedged in between the Goldwater and the Tahona Odom Indian Reservation to the west side of the Tucson area. What was your name, please? When you were talking about what's going on down here, did you mean training activity or real, real activity? Well, my question was I was thinking you were HD and he was holding a training thing and I heard it was full so I thought he was going to have another one. I was asking if he was going to have another one but I think Mark was asking whether it was activity hot or temperature hot. So again guys, real quick on that, the HD has scheduled, there's a unit commander's survey that's going to be taking place where the guys will be down there, looking at the area of operation closer to the border. Then the people will be coming in from the different states, will be IDing the lay of the land, also confirming the area where they're going to be active. They're going home and then when the larger deployment takes place in August. Everybody will have a pretty good understanding of what's going on, who's who in the zoo. So that's where they're headed there. And then of course they may schedule a second activity or they may expand with assistance from other people the operation itself. The biggest problem there has been tactical transportation to use in the field because they are going to go out into the area where they're going to be functioning. Sedans don't do that. not for the area that they're working in. So it's going to have to be something that is able to deal with the terrain. They may press some other vehicles in the service. We'll find out more about that in the next day or two here. HD calls in and let everybody know how this develops. But it's continuing. It's proceeding right now. The big thing is, Mike, right there in your area where you are, because that's another question about HOT. We're talking constant traffic in your area of operation, aren't we? Yes, it is. This is after they've come across the border then, this is one of the main east-west thoroughfares that they have to cross right on I-8. And it's the tabletop mountain area. And as they're coming up, they use that as a navigation point and then they'll either split to the east or to the west side of that and then come on up through. It appears that they're kind of preferring the west side of it because then they can continue north on the Vee Cole Road area and then they can bypass a lot of the main Hardball Road and then they can proceed on up into the west side of the Phoenix area and not really have to cross any, you know, checkpoints, roads, anything like that will raise it. Very good. Now, another thing on this, especially with regard to the activity, There was a comment made, several people got in the email, guys were the drug cartels and the asliders are saying that they own everything south of I-8. That that's all their property. They control it, it's theirs. I think that would be a challenge as far as what they really do control, but they're certainly going to be pressing the envelope right now. The question is who's pulling the strings on this particular expansion because remember activity was not as energetic as it was until after the president of Mexico was up here swapping, spitting, squeezing, and romping with Osama bin bin Dangdong and the chipmunks. He went back south, activity started to go hyper right through the roof, my argument is right from the beginning he told his schmucks and all the other characters that he has that are affiliates press the envelope make things more difficult Osamu Amadindong is pressing to collect a whole bunch of votes and so he needs incidents so that he can save America which isn't going to do nothing they're going to do as far as correcting any legislation. Oh, going to give everybody amnesty or just going to say, Oh, what the heck everybody? It's fine. We're just going to go out and race the board and start over again. Well, they may try that, but it's not going to settle the issue and it's going to continue to get worse. They're not going to secure the border. Even if they pass the legislation, mark my word on this. Why? Because we've seen it for the last 20, 25, 30 years now. Same scenario. Oh, we just passed this then we'll hammer down and and we'll secure the border. They're lying They're not gonna secure the border. They're lying They just figure if they wait long enough everybody will be stupefied into going. Yeah, okay I guess I don't remember anything happened ten years ago, let alone last week. How about another? What about those Tigers? Rawr So that's that's that's really where we're headed I think with the scenario they're playing it up They're pushing it from the Mexican end, but it's not just the president of Mexico. He's just a meat puppet come on He's a doper, but he's a meat puppet doper. Okay. He's pusher and it's in a slaver But he's not doing anything other than doing you know following marching orders given by the ring knockers up at this end Anyway, what else you got ship? Oh nothing right now. I'm just listening now appreciate it. Thank you, sir and Mike I know you got more for us so go ahead please oh did we lose Mike? Sounds like we don't have Mike. We I didn't hear a beep so we just we have lost Mike in uh... You may have stepped away for a moment. Or it could be connection that's possible too because that happens especially down there we've seen that and with the weather right now they're getting some unique weather so that may be creating some other problems too with the power grid. Anyway Don, anything more up there in your neck of the woods because I know things have been happening in the last couple hours? Well, they haven't been addressing the border issues on the mainstream media there. They do a lot of talking, show you a lot of pictures of the Gulf. I haven't heard anything else about the horrible, terrible, chainsaw murder up here. They're not even calling it a murder yet. I wonder why they're not talking about it. That's all I've got on that, Mark. I'm not trying to keep everybody just... If somebody comes walking down the street at you, you're in northern Michigan with a chainsaw, you might want to... You might want to get... Well there you go, if you don't recognize... You better back off. In other words, keep a distance. Dude, and of course, especially since remember, Scandinavian chainsaw tag is a sport that you don't play very often, and when you do, it's not a game you replay. You get madrift, you go, nah, tag, you're it. Even the winner can be losers. If you have multiple hits with a chainsaw, unless something really bizarre happened, multiple hits, that sounds more like murder because if you've ever seen somebody hit with a chainsaw, you don't repeat that mistake over and over and over and over and over and over again. You know, a drift guy... Yeah, that's like the old Benny Hill thing. He ran backwards onto the knife seven times. Yeah, over and over and over again. Yeah. Or shot himself in the head eight or nine times. Three times. Yeah. It was a bird running, I thought he found hard to get off. That's right. Oh, that had to hurt. Well, the chainsaw tag thing is the same scenario, so pay attention there. And my curiosity is just who it is. I wouldn't be surprised as things start to get intense. Characters who foreclose on property, bar members, you name it. There's a whole bunch of people out there on the general populations, you know, oh my goodness, we really don't like you, Liszt. and I wouldn't be surprised to start hearing about it, but they're going to have to deflect it. They may give it an initial blurt, but then they're going to be forced to go, oh no, it was nothing, don't worry about it, everything's fine, we're all fine here, what do you want? Carry on, there's nothing happening here, carry on. Come here, light stars, move along, move along. Yeah, so I can see that happening. Anyway, a couple of things here too. Again, I don't want to harp on it. Don's here. Remember, Don's going to take some time off too. We have all of the first generation night vision units gone that we've been... Don, you went through the process of buying so they wouldn't have to worry about them being available. So thank you for the support there. First of all, everybody did a great job. if you're going to be going down on the border and you're already thinking about buying a piece of night vision or if you're looking at preparation because everybody feels that there's going to be a big gas bubble, then there's going to be an explosion, there's going to be a tsunami that's going to be 60 stories tall and then it's going to wipe out the southern part of the United States. Well, whatever's left of the other half or the other part of the country is probably going to be highly motivated to, well, get a little excited. So if that's the case, you want to be prepared either way. So you're going to probably want night vision because we're going to control both the night and the day. And to do that, we've got to have the right tools in hand. Well, Don, you've got the toolbox key, so what can you access and how can they get hold of you? You guys, if you want to call me after the hour or sometime throughout the day, you can reach me on that old form of communication known as a telephone. The number is 231-796-8458. Again, 231-231-786-8458. 7-9-6-8-4-5-8. You know, most anything you seek, I first, second, third generation, even fourth generation. Viewers, gun sights, monoculars, binoculars, and even night vision goggles. Yes, night vision goggles. If you want to talk to me about them, you can reach me at 231-796-8458. Just wait until after the top of the hour here because I hear the beep coming in. I'm kind of busy here right now. We're doing the rest of the hour. Again, one more time for that phone number. Two, three, one. Seven, nine, six, eight, four. Mark, I didn't hear a beep there. Maybe we've got Mike back. Maybe we've got someone else. But let's determine the situation. Prove and Texas. Hey Mark, I've got a question on Tom over at our meet. Go ahead. Go ahead. Was it the AMPR-674 that was used by the Special Forces back in the 1970s? Is that the correct moment for radio? Well, the 74 was, as I recall, now that's a little different rig. The 77 was very common. The 74 was a portable unit, a wider range of frequency. It looked more like, if you recall, oh, I can do this in the video, but we're looking at about maybe, what, six inches, six and a half inches wide, about five and a half inches deep, and about as long as the PRC-77. A little more compact, it had the option for the flexible or fixed antenna. Those are available. There is a company that has those still and there's still a decent radio. Even the PRC-8s, 9s, and 10s and the PRC-25s and 77s are decent radios for operation. They're going to be limited in their frequencies, but remember they were ruggedized. They were built to take a beating. Look at how we smacked them around. Now the SF model that they used, there was also an aviation model for the, oh come on, it was the air commando units used them too. And I'm pretty sure that the SEALs inherited those radios towards the middle and end of Vietnam. So they probably were pretty well in service across the board. There's a company out of Wisconsin that has some, and I think, now I have to call to find out, but, Autolyma, Ohio, Fair Radio. Has a quantity of those in stock and if you have one of those or if you have those radios in service right now You can actually go to them and pick up the parts and pieces now not all of them are pretty because he'll even tell you he'll rate them you know good condition fair condition because he's you know got the last whatever is there or whatever he could find and A lot of the stuffs being D extra has been fragged by other people over the years, but yeah, there it was about what about the battery pack? Now he does have mixed battery packs and if you ask sometimes he has uh... battery solutions example and i believe i've been sending i don't know if i have a copy of the latest one any of the packets have been sending out uh... that are tactical packages have been sending out the uh... for instance the pin combination for building your own battery packs using uh... d cell and other gel cell batteries uh... for that particular radio first of all we have to look at the pin value for power you know for we know what's necessary to feed and then you could now a day like now it is a duty like a director i do it in uh... you know uh... uh... nickel hydride batteries because they're cheap cheap cheap you can make a whole bunch of them still probably make a of a lighter power cell them was originally used now for those old fair radio again has a bunch of the batteries on the shelf they'll tell you what the ages are they'll tell you how service will they think they are uh... and again they've been reasonably priced on the batteries but some are actually uh... For instance, that radio was put into service in South America and Central America. That's where a lot of them went, too. And that's where some were coming back from, by the way. That started being sold to Surplus back in from overseas. That's where the batteries went, but because of that they made up some new batteries and so there are some battery packs available. That's true also for the PRC77. If you remember, you've got the original battery which was about three and a half inches thick, you know, like a brick. A little longer than a brick, wasn't it? It would be nice if it was that small. It was narrower but longer. A little halfway between a brick and a gold bar. Anyway, they remember they made a lighter battery. It was half the weight, actually almost a third the weight, and about half as thick. And so you could stack a lot more of those batteries inside the battery can, which is what I used to do. Everybody said, well, you don't have to carry as many batteries. No, if I can carry less and I can cut the weight down, I've got more batteries to run the radio before I have to find a place to improvise. You know, you have to go back and recover some. So it's an option. Go ahead. Do you know if they still had the, there was a pinwheel top of encoder and there was a keypad that fit on your legs and a bunch of stuff. They still got all that stuff? Now the key C there, you remember that because I've tried to explain to people what we had was a thigh mounted, you had a wrap around, one version had a regular strap, the other had Velcro. And it was bubbled. Now the original ones had a problem with weatherization because the bubble strip that they used to cover the pad would compromise because if the guy kept it stuck on his leg because he had to evac, it flexed the rig and sometimes they'd pop out the plastic wood. Those are available but they're again the company out of Wisconsin, forgive me I don't have the number of handy, But I know they've got about three warehouses worth of gear and I know they've got the keypads and the encoder and the, it's actually an encoder rig and it's an add-on can that goes both on the 77, the 25 and it'll go on any of the other SF radios. It was built as a separate package, the original ones were. Later on that was incorporated into the design. and part of the digital burst. It's actually packet radio. That's what they did. Everybody got the cool idea to take these low-end box type modems and what they did is they used them for radio transmission. Well, the military applied that very quick and then you get these little micro pips. Now then they would combine that with a YAGI, a directional antenna, to tighten up the signal even more and then you only get one signal out, you only got 5% of the signal exposed and you were safe. Pretty well secure. Unless somebody was lined right up with you, they're not easily going to snag that signal. and those are available there out there and they're typically getting on a buy sets if you've got one you have something to receive uh... it's the original you know what's on that he did it's original text messaging man well it really is that's a first what are the legal requirements for the fcc to use that stuff well i don't know because you'd have to go to their website to check yeah i get it officially on that let's put it this way i've sat down at Camp Stasa with the PRC-77. I got a pile of them. In fact, I just pulled out and was using the, just tweaking and testing my PRC-10s here, what, last night. We ours in the morning. I was up all night. and although real quick if they don't have any licensing for it and you do a request or search for it on their site odds are that in the next couple of weeks or they will find a way to do it right but what I'm saying is I've run a PRC 77 and PRC 25 all through the night and done sweeping scans with the radio and it's amazing how many people you'll find on those freaks that are using the same rigs. You start talking to them, they've got their own, they've got a bunch of the old military backpack radios and such and they're just, you know, on and off on the dial playing around with their gear and I know they don't worry about codes or about requirements. So, having them, there's no restriction having the equipment. There's no restriction in turning the equipment on and listening. When you key the mic is when they claim they're going to cause problems. Now the biggest thing there is, is that battle frequency or are those series of battle frequencies presently being heavily monitored or are they being used? Well the PRC 90s and they're way past that now they got a 102 or 106 something like that. The 90s went beyond the PRC 77 range. It dropped down into it barely and you could key down into the upper end of the PRC 77s or 25s but you're probably pretty well off their grid Technically for a lot of what you're going to run into so you'd be pretty safe the only consideration is Whether or not you bleed into some of the other public bands and am or FM. There's a couple a.m. Harmonics my harmonic frequencies you'll hit and with the FM you're going to for sure every once in a while you're going to get a you're going to get a bounce up or down the dial and Someone's going to go hey, that's really weird sound on my television or on my on my FM radio Because that happens and we've done that before Several months ago George from Dallas came on the air and he gave a website out for people that were interested in developing communications much like what you guys are doing up there in the northeast. Sort of back channeled columns in case the internet goes down. I tried to contact him on that web number and I never got an answer back. Do you have any contact information for him? Let me see if I can find out what's going on with him and have him come back up on the air You never know he might be listening right now might even call in right now. Hey, we can hit it at that and So maybe we get George to bring come up and give us all the info again I don't have it right here my fingertips, but I'm writing it down right now because I don't want to forget that and George and His combo info will make sure he comes back up and he can say hi and spread the word again. How's that sound? That sounds good. I don't always get a chance to listen or listen on the archives, but I know Don's on the show now and maybe Don can write it down. I've called Don two or three different times and asked him questions and he's always been real supportive. Thank you Don for that. We're down here kind of isolated so just trying to figure out how to get some combo up and running. One of the things right off the bat, remember, here's an idea cheapest and I'll give you an example. I just got two marine radios, marine boat radios. If you're out in the middle of the desert or if you're over running, depending on where you are out in the middle of nowhere, nobody's going to bother you for having a couple of marine radios. They're just like CB radios. There's no difference. as far as operations, just as easy to set up. There are simple boxes, it's all set the channel, it's key the mic and talk, built-in speakers, blah blah blah blah blah, it's got a standard antenna that basically is a magnet mount or you can do a fixture mount off a static location of some kind, just like you would a CB, just think CB in terms of how it's used and how it's assembled except it's in a different band and it's weatherized. One of the nice things about marine radios is they're built for water. So they've all water sealed everything, they've got everything covered, everything is bonded. So it works really well as a combat tactical radio. That gives you something with a lot of range too. Very clean signal. If you're in the flatlands especially, although it really doesn't make any difference, we get really, really good range out of the marine radios to the point where on a lateral, on about a 40 degree angle across the state of Michigan, we can jump the state with three radios. One in Detroit, one about where Camp Stasa is, and then the next jump takes us all the way to the Michigan shoreline. And that's pretty darn good for two radios and the clarity is about as good as we're talking on the air right now as far as the legibility when it comes to signal. So they're pretty decent and they're cheap. You can go to Cabela's or any place that's got sporting gear, they'll probably have marine radios if they've got boats. Yeah, do you just take the frequency range that you're going to operate in and just cut the antenna to a multiple, I mean like... half or a quarter of the wavelengths and set up either a dipole or just a single lead antenna. You said cut the frequency in quarters or abs, right? Well, quarter wave antennas. Do you have any lones? Yeah, a lot of guys build quarter wave antennas, especially with the FM stations, we're using quarter wave antennas. But in this case, when we're talking marine channel, we're talking a radio antenna that is just like a C. The fixtures mount the same, the antenna sizes are the same, you can buy little magnet mount units that go right in your car, you can buy little Willie size antennas. Marine Channel radios are very, very user friendly, very simple and easy to maintain. They're as common for parts and as unique. I mean you can buy any range of expense in terms of antennas and coax and everything else. I wouldn't even bother amplifying it because the radios are fine out of the box the way they are. I wouldn't even bother tweaking them. We've used them as is and mounted many many many many marine radios and have created a whole grid here in Michigan. You guys need to be doing the same thing in your state. Now that could be something you'll just be sitting off to the side every once in a while. You light up all the transmitters and you send. The cool thing is that's another grid separate from your CB system, separate from, you know, go right on down the list of whatever else you can have. Your personal walkie talkies. Use those for close in tactical or the little micro The little FM headsets or FM hand-helds that work in the five frequencies that are authorized for those simply for close in tactical use. So you can have a close grid, then you can have an intermediate grid and you know overlapping that with long range VHF, UHF, AM and FM in your table mounted rigs. Your mobiles would give you intermediate range and cover the county easily. Of course your county might be pretty big, I don't know which one it is, but for instance the standard CB with us, we're located pretty much the center of Washtenaw County. So a regular CB out of the box pretty well covers this county from top to bottom and left to right. And that's pretty good coverage for an intermediate tactical radio. Now the marine radios, I can talk anywhere in this area and it's just like we're talking on the phone. That's how clear they are. And that's in the county. Wow, okay. Well, appreciate the info. Right good. Well, God bless and good thing to bring it up because a lot of guys may run into those those iPad keyboards actually they could be used a number of different ways but they were set up so that if you were sitting on a bump if you're a bump on a log and You were sitting there with your command rig set up the way it was you're in you're the RO Everything was on you and was self-contained now. They changed those keypads over the years. So there are different models the uh... some of them are pristine out of the box in the original first generation they work there's nothing if you got a brand new uh... again If they haven't been abused by heat then all the soft plastic is probably going to be intact. There was a big problem with the covers for the keyboards because they tried to take, you know, it's a standard mini or micro computer or typewriter keyboard. It is, what was it, come on Mark, about 11 inches in width. not barely barely that but 11 inches in width somewhere smaller and about five and a half to six inches in height than about oh I would say an inch and a quarter at the most thick at the thickest point. Back straps and fixtures were set up and it could also be locked on to there was a little clamp that also allowed you to clip it to a say a shelf you could be standing somewhere take the thing put it on a shelf at about chest height and use it like a regular typewriter click click click click click click click while you're looking looking at the monitor right there, the little LCD monitor. So type out your message text, you read it, you can actually spot check it, then you tap tap, hit send, actually hit compile, and then you hit send and out you go, out you go. So if it's a way to basically in the clear put a message format together and then burst transmit it? In fact, you could do this. We've talked about this before, a little bit of game playing. That's why we don't throw away any of the modular modems, the external modems that are in their own little box. Because some of the stuff that's going on with the alternate to send signals and to do what are called handshakes back and forth in preparation for other signaling with wireless. The older units are used simply because, again, they're cheap, they're easy to run, and they're cost nothing. they're designed to, you know, at least set the system up, bring it up and online, and then it locks into the signal, blah blah blah blah blah, and then she feeds. So, there's a number of different techniques. It's hard to find keyboards that small. So the one thing about, one thing that's really cool is the military package type keyboards if the company has them are really not that badly priced. Number one, they're weatherized, they're ruggedized, in other words they had to make everything thicker. When they talk about ruggedization, the first thing they do is they make the circuit board almost twice as thick as it normally would be. Not always, but typically that's the first thing. Because where the system fails with a keyboard in the field that gets bounced around, or with a keyboard, forgive me, circuit board is where the connector stations are for the circuit board to the frame of whatever is holding it. What happens is you smack it and if the circuit board is too thin it fractures at those points where there is a limited amount of stress and it also typically breaks one or two of the circuits. and then you have a malfunction. Well, you know, what they learned real quick is they beef up and change the materials for the circuit board themselves and then grommet and reinforce them, which is another thing that they do so that they, you know, they rubber, actually rubberize them is what they do. They've got a couple of little fixtures that go in and it sets a little rubber bumper all the way around the thing. Then the screw goes through, then you lock everything down and to make sure it doesn't bounce around too much or offset there, use aircraft bolts. Typically stainless just to be safe. They don't transmit electricity that well they do but you know that'd be a hell of a par So they're all kind of keep that watch you go ahead on me Once you burst transmit that, let's say you're in the field and you burst transmit back to the base station, is that same keyboard set on the other end at the base station have the capability to un-digitize and bring that text message back up? Oh yes, it was designed to speak back and forth. That's what the add-on box was originally for. Now in the later model, I think it's whatever the B, C's or D's, the entire fixture was built into the radio, but initially the radio didn't have the, this was a whole, you know, that particular fixture, that system, that radio, and the attachments was a first of its kind that was cutting edge back in the day. Along with, remember, for International Link you had a, oh, a portable satellite dish that was only three feet in diameter. So, I mean, it was a folder, you could collapse it, but it was a big dish by today's standards. Now you got little monkey dishes that are the size of your hand with your fingers spread out. Back in the day, though, that was very portable, and that was very much cutting edge. Yeah, well, are you saying this is the latest version of the POC-77? Well, no, the 77 had the option. All of the radios could take the add-on gear with the keypad. Because one of the things to remember about military equipment is they have to have a bridging design. Let's put it this way. You have grommets. I'm going to switch to another idea, but I'll give you the concept. You have grommets on your pistol belts, don't you? Sure. Okay. Well, why do we have grommets on pistol belts? I'm not trying to be meaner. I'm not trying to be a trick question. Why do we have grommets on pistol belts? Right, exactly, because the 1910 hangers, and this is where it became a standard, the width of the distance between the grommets is determined by what was called the 1910 utility hanger. And it was designed so that you hooked it up through and then pushed down and crimped the wires so that the hanger would stay and would be working as a hanging keeper for your canteen pouches, your holsters, your med pouches, or whatever. Well, we changed from that. We went to a clip system after World War II. But guess what? We didn't get rid of the Grommets because the Army had so many of those pouches in service that they weren't going to throw them away, so they had to integrate and overlap. What happened is, even though the SF were the exclusive custodians of a lot of the special tech, most of which was never released until after Vietnam to the General Military Forces, They still had to make it so they could integrate with other radio packs and radio gear that we were carrying in service because even though they tried to lighten their load and they tried to give as many units the lighter, newer equipment, the problem is you had, and everybody forgets this, take a look at the order of battle in the middle of Vietnam. In the early days you had First Special Forces and Second Special Forces. Guys, they were talking about having 30 Full-fleshed Special Forces groups in place by the middle early 70s. And it's reflected in the order of battle if you look at how many different SF groups are out there. In 66, they went crazy with SF. And I mean not crazy, but you know, in other words, they say, everybody's got to be special forces. We need more special forces. If some are good, lots of special forces will be better. Well, because of that, they put a tax on everything. In other words, they didn't have enough of anything to go around. So now you're at the point where, well, I'd like to give him this, but I've got to give him that. And so they had to start making allowances to support other equipment simply because they didn't have enough of certain systems available. The production lines couldn't keep up. In many cases those radios, though they look to be, well, they're military production, in many cases those radios, especially the smaller units, were total custom designs specifically built by a unique contractor, in many cases a subcontractor for the original company that was supposed to do it. One of the companies that made that radio was a little operation out of the western part of Virginia that would take up an area about the size of your house. And they did the whole production on the thing from top to bottom, custom built, made to spec exactly as required because they knew how to do it. And even though they didn't make the rest of the equipment later, they eventually were making just the circuit boards for the system. And I know that because I know the guy who made the circuit boards. I mean, actually, he makes stuff for us, or at least, let's put it this way, one of his apprentices makes stuff for us to this day for the Patriot Movement. So, that's pretty cool. It was a unique system, and it's still usable. There's nothing really that's outdated in military radio communications. The big issue is how much of a bullet magnet is it. You know what I mean? That's why they came up with that. The battlefield was changing. Electronic countermeasures were continuing to increase in their complexity and reliability. So the little text messaging burst pip messaging was a solution to reduce the target time with a mobile combat unit or a mobile reconnaissance unit which was trying to deliver timely intelligence back to home operations. That was its purpose. What is the technical jargon for this package keyboard? I think it was 118 or 111, something like that. It's an I was one designation. There are two different packages and after that then of course it's integrated into the design. So the add-ons were only a short-lived. They were only there for a short time in full production and then they were kept in the inventory until such time as the radios were phased. So it's a fair radio and you describe what you want. He's taken pretty well. Understand what you're asking for, right? Absolutely. That gentleman has been in business. He's a Christian. He's been in business for, well, I think 40 going on 50 years. He's a great man to talk to. If you tell him what you want, he'll look to see if he has it, or again, he'll try to find, you know, give you an idea where to go. Fantastic guys. Thanks for taking my call. We are getting close, I know we've got about five, six minutes, maybe seven, but in the meantime, good point there on military equipment guys, even the older walkie talkies, granted, guys could tell you, man, for as heavy as those things were, they sometimes worked and they sometimes didn't. Well, they worked pretty well, and they weren't supposed to talk to the planet. They were supposed to be used for close-in tactical communications. That's the most common mistake made. You've got to remember, let's say that we put 10,000 people the field, down on the border. You've got to be able to let all those people, if you want everybody to have a radio, you're going to have to be able to let them all talk. And the way to do that is for personal communication, say Don and Mark are in the field, we're about a half mile apart. Don and Mark don't need to have a transmitter that talks to Mexico City or talks to Tucson. Don and Mark. Yeah, say, Mom, Minnesota. Who the hell are these people? And the guy keeps going, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, I'm talking to somebody in Canada, you know. That's not how it works, guys. You want to bring your power down and you want to limit it to the area of operation. First of all, for the thing I mentioned earlier, countermeasures threat. Remember, the bad guys are trying to monitor. The more power you put behind the signal, the more likely you are to be intercepted. So for that reason, you want to bring your power scale down. You want to drop your energy so it becomes a personal transmission. The other thing is phonetic encoding. The codes, the battle codes, battle language, battle frequencies. Think that way. When you're talking, it has to be minimal. This is not a cell phone. I'm not trying to tell you about the fact that I saw a cool girl in a skimpy outfit going the other way in a 57 Chevy convertible, okay? That's not the purpose behind the radio. It's for time check-in. It's for confirmed time check-in, and that way you maintain signal security. And if I don't get a check-in, then I'm especially going to worry. If you're off schedule or something happens, once I know you're off schedule, if you're supposed to contact me at 0400 hours on frequency 23.26 or 2644, if it's a splitter, it's got that much detail, then if I don't get that signal, I know something's wrong. Now immediately a flag is going to go up and we're going to continue to monitor the emergency battle frequency and I'll also have a backup frequency that's a secondary on maybe even a totally different radio for the very reasons mentioned. You could have been attacked, you may have had to break contact because you realized your radios are being intercepted. For that reason you want another radio grid that's totally separate from the first that's man portable or vehicle portable that's easily used and allows you to contact or make contact with the formation or with either the parent formation or another allied formation with reasonable security. Because this is something you're going to, we're going to see this more and more. Remember, the electronic battlefield in radio communications is a very real thing. It's part of the overall intricacies of the modern battlefield. Now you want to really muck with them? You throw all kinds of flack out there. And we talked about this back down when the third-minute man deployment was supposed to take place. On all of the frequencies that could be monitored by the bad guys, You have people whose sole job it is to clutter up those frequencies and to start sending signal out with all kinds of conversations, especially where the bad guys can hear. There's a number of reasons for that. That's electronic countermeasures. That's part of psychological warfare operations So this is all but we're not supposed to figure this out. Who is that might be that smart? Duh-huh? In reality guys we've all been in the military at one point another or we've had to deal with this at one point another and a lot of the radio geeks know exactly what I'm talking about so Be creative start thinking ahead by the way you got a radio for all of you listening everybody grab one of those kick a set recorders and Better throw away. You can go to all these yard sales grab a set of earbuds buy in fact grab a whole bunch of earbuds put them into a kit make sure you got extra batteries make up some chatter cassettes this is a CKAA 3499R view copy over see how that works and of course battle chatter back and forth leave that on a yeah leave that on a trash radio and let it set off to the side and see what kind of things it attracts you know it's a great bait box get my drift So there's all kinds of things you can do without having to be there Mr. Tape recorder or Mr. Memory Stick or Mr. CD player are your friends It's not that hard to do at all And we are going to be looking at a need for better communications down on the border out in the isolated areas. In fact, even in the isolated areas up here in the United States in the core of the US, the bad guys are already up here. The war's already actually begun. They know the war's begun. Most of America isn't really clicked to this yet. The fact that the control media was told to cover the border tells you right off the bat that it's coming. Now how bad they're gonna tweak it and what they're gonna try to do to twist it? Well, we better stop it before it gets started, but we got to be talking about it. I'm gonna play it safe and I'm gonna be over the goal. I'm not gonna say a word. They like that. That's exactly what they're hoping for. Everybody to do the old, you know, defecate your drawers and you know, try to hide over in the corner in plain sight. We'll do any good. They just come and pick you off later all by yourself. No, this isn't happening. This isn't happening. This... I guess it's happening after all. Yep. Isolate and nullify. Yep. So again, Don, tell you what, before we go any farther, guys, I know if people are in need of night vision, give your number out one more time before we go, please. You can get me at 2317968458. Thank you, Mark. Very good. God bless the Republic. Death to the new world order. We shall prevail, ladies and gentlemen. The Empire is on the run. But we are on the march, both day and night. Hurrah! Kick him in the slats, run him over to the fence and throw him those mad dog drug-dealin' chihuahuas, or wrap him full of cotton and stuff him down that hole over there in the Gulf, Don. Big Rock! That's a big rock. Quick way down. And we are the sons, yes we are the sons, the sons of Liberty Down it's roof's the deep And the sun will always shine on the old Liberty Tree It's a tall old tree and a strong old tree And we are the sons, yes we are the sons, the sons of Liberty Parks shall under the pike for corn, we were born for ever Let's go pay the piper boys, beat the liberty tree It's a tall old tree and a strong old tree And we are the sons, yes we are the sons, the sons of liberty Pay the price, they're asking for it, always pay the tyrant's fee Never give up the struggle boys, fight for the liberty tree It's a tall old tree and a strong old tree And we are the sons, yes we are the sons, the sons of liberty Stand for the rights of man, boys, stand against all tyranny And the rights of freedom, boys, I am a liberty tree It's the tall old tree and the strong old tree And we understand, just hear the sound, the sound of liberty It will grow as we grow, or instead, will be as strong as we We must cling to our fate, why it's made of an every tree It's a tall old tree and a strong old
