Mark Koernke hosted John Burke from the 50 Caliber Institute to discuss rifle marksmanship, shooting competitions, and Second Amendment advocacy. The conversation covered upcoming 50-caliber shooting matches across the country, the importance of range training for skill development, and state-level resistance to federal gun control, including Montana's initiative to manufacture rifles within the state without federal permission. Burke discussed his lobbying experience in Washington and the shift of gun rights battles to the state level, while Koernke emphasized that an awakened American populace and military/law enforcement personnel are prepared to resist federal overreach, citing historical patterns of government abuse from Ruby Ridge and Waco through recent anti-gun legislation.
We fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free. in home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate. And your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame You've taken Satan's number and you've traded in your name You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children will be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torture freedom bright. As I awoke, he vanished in the mist for once he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trampled each God given right we only watching tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside the dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Dill the land I have a terrible cold and if I have to Interrupt because of coughing. That's what it'll be. Okay. Okay You guys are up. at libertytreeradio.4mg.com, pbm.4mg.com, and we are on live 365, then go to Liberty Tree Radio. You will also find us on AM&FM micro stations, AM&FM regular stations, CB base stations, and ultra net technologies east and west of the Mississippi. along with southern and central Alaska and the Aleutians over on the left corner there. We're also in the Hallmark Network 8, Colonial States, as strong and well beyond that now, working into the center of the United States. The Golden Spike program will come together somewhere in southeastern Ohio, and this will be the O-System, the Hallmark, and the Alternet coming together as a replacement for the Internet, because when the bad guys shut the Internet down, The only thing you're going to be doing is cutting off their nose to spite their face. Good. Here, I'll do it anyway. As it is. It is a beautiful day outside, but Don, it's a special day today. used to do this. Mark, we have with us John Burke from the 50 Caliber Policy Institute. I got that right, John, didn't I? No, it's the 50 Caliber Institute. Oh, I've been working on that for a while now. Yeah, okay. How have you been? We haven't had you up in a while. Well, the NRA Convention adds. Not a problem. But we're going any further. We recommend something for that. If you could, try getting hold of some magnesium and some calcium and start taking it right away. Well, my poor little body is probably lacking in both of those. Exactly. And this will help to get rid of some of that terrible, help to bring the stuff up so you're cured that much faster. It will help you out a little bit. Okay. Your question was, how am I doing? I'm doing just fine. And I noted your comment that I used to do this stuff. Don, what is it you think I'm doing now besides looking for a right? I started to talk about the thought and the thing behind it. Because, you know, particular people are trying to, there have even been police officers that have had it out, but it's not beyond belief or even really, really that uncomfortable. Now this brings up, I use that as an example because that's a profession, and if you have a concealed carry and you think, well, many times the thing that caught the should I or shouldn't I, and even to put it into that much time, the other is multiple. Well, there's a lot of factors. If you're going to use a gun, you're going to have to meet up your mind a long time before before the incident occurs or else you're too late. I would like to thank everybody who is listening right now who voted for me. I'm referring to you. You have a monitor in front of you? Could you bring up, you know, you don't have to do it immediately, but in the next little while, would you like 50? I'll plug them already. Oh yeah, I'm there, folks. Put it on your list of things. They're shooting 50s at 1,000 yards. I might have been there and it happened earlier in the day or something. Slice off a portion. 50 caliber shooters in the southwest, oh, where you can other shooter. There ain't a whole lot of people there. You know, there are people who aren't going to tell you exact pressure you should put. he's going to help you as much as they can. Let me also point out to the members. Look way down the schedule there. Is there a Quantico match? Yeah, there's three of them. I'm told that's a match. Not me. I think he moved to Alaska. Yeah, he might have. And I'm pretty certain he moved to Alaska. He might have. I've talked to Johnny a couple of times in Alaska. Come to your state soon in order. Can I do that, Don? Oh, please. Monitoring these about anything. Talbot used to say, we have to win. California, but he's no longer in California, is he? No, he's not. He's moved his shop up to Utah, and I think that was a very good one. Give him California another penny from our malight. Occasionally you get a gun from Ronnie. You know, Ronnie on the air, and we did a good long time, and it's never happened. But he keeps telling me, talk to my secretary and line it up. But I'll tell you what. I've heard the name. It's because of the tone and well-respected. The 50 caliber Institute, the 50 caliber shoe association. You've heard the French shirt does apply to this, doesn't it? You guys are hunting rifle or handgun or whatnot. I look at it like, you know, many, many things before. Let me find a debt. Everything else will fall here. We're on the tip of the spear for a long time. I know that Alan Gottlieb over at Second Amendment Foundation has won and the National Rifle Association. Well, again, you know, you can, you can submit. I can't twist your... You go from state to state sometimes, you know, not to make a pun here, but with the big guns. Mr. McMillan, Mr. Bear, does spectrum show up much for this? We'll do anything that we that we... He's giving his all get out. something and do something else. They tell a cure in his back pocket and thought one of his lackeys and the lackey said, well I think we might need the Patriot X so we're going to keep it. Well that happened you guys and we touched on that all through it. Come from many different York you can't go. We commented on New York issued like two handgun guys. I'm going to have to do that. I want you to get out your contacts again. It's a bottle that he six gun you guys and it doesn't like this caliber that'll break down. It looks like you're carrying a tennis and then just figure a lot of people man and your horsey or 50 caliber. We haven't shot at 1000. Put in about 20 single class. I think I'll multiply it. I was just trying to let him go right ahead and continue giving out more information because again, as we brought him up for us to get the database out, there's a lot of people been asking about what's happening with the legislation around the country. Of course, we do have a lot of 50 caliber shooters, so I would highly recommend that if at all possible, we've got these matches coming up. We've got a beautiful season so far. I mean, every part of the country has had Perfect balanced weather. Not too hot, not too cold. Arizona is seeing its normal weather range, so I mean not a surprise there. Hey, but they're 100 degrees. They're in trouble. But still, it's a dry heat. And all of these are good places to shoot. Range time, no matter how we look at it, is plus plus. One of the other advantages of going to a range event like this is that you've got all of these experienced people in one place. So, you can actually ask questions. You don't have to guess. You don't have to worry about even asking the question. You've got a whole pile of teachers there that are more than willing to share what it is that they've learned about their weapons. This is not like a high power match where you go and nobody will talk to you. Right. That's what shooting should be. You know the reason the high power is the way they are because of the competition for the know if we are standing. We know the issues are there. It doesn't mean we don't have standing with a 50, but this is how shooting should be to promote the sport and to promote the skill because we are holding the skill as defenders of the United States. It's that simple. I don't care what anybody says. Bottom line is that our rifle marksmanship is what is going to preserve our liberty. To do that we have a sport, the shooting competitions, the turkey shoot, there's another way to describe it, where everybody gets together and we were supposed to have fun. There's no reason not to have fun. And that's what's cool about this, is not only to have fun, but you find out just exactly what your true potential is. The more you learn, the more time you put on the range, the more you realize you're starting to look at the pie plate rather than looking at the garbage pale lid. Well, and the other thing that I always amazes me, brand new shooters come to the range and they're very reticent. We like them, they are scared shooting and they go, holy cow, I can do this. And that's invariably the reaction. You're recalled about the results. And I have yet to see a... pretty as shiny as most expensive almost exactly the most accurate gun ever built and sure look like a full operating. Yeah, I know that. Mississippi we see the Germans stick 30 cals you see hinge off and then a hinge off and the moments after that you want to have some fun and just for watching you know and be an observer can't ya? Yeah exactly and to that guy with the shiny thing if you know how to shoot a 22 but you guys let's get out your contacts for the download of Koopa of all the drawings Oklahoma is on that. The website address again is www.theotherside.com. And, but I see it in the wind. I mean, there's no way anybody can argue against it. So you can all taste the flavor of what's coming. They would hope to do. There's been an art discussion, and even with some of our color shavers, like, well, you know, they would hope to like maybe outlast us. But you know, we've outlasted a good chunk of them. A lot of the characters who wanted to have their way as gods on this earth are dead now. And I think that's what's really frustrating the hell out of them is that they're realizing that we are outlasting them. That's what's going to be the knee-jerk response, actually not a response. Response would be intelligent. The reaction on their part is going to be desperation because so many people are awake, so many people can see what's going on, and so many people are prepared to deal with the problem. Military personnel, people who are peace officers, not enforcement, individuals who have businesses, people who are shooters. This country is awake like it probably has never been in the last 40 or 50 years. Even though we had places where people did come alive, after World War II there was a great deal of activity that has been shunted as far as people knowing about the 1945 and 1948. Again, during the 60s we came very close in the late 60s and early 70s to a conflict in this country. People don't want to acknowledge it, but I've been going through books. We were there. All of us were alive at that time. We peaked it again with the 90s. Though it didn't start with Bill Clinton, George Bush the first had a rampant insane ATF that he pumped up. It was a chain of abuses that brought us to what happened at Ruby Ridge. Even as Ruby Ridge took place, Waco took place, and all of that was a representation of a cumulative operation, a cumulative force. We're at the same point. It's like they're hitting the switch again. And of course, while on the one hand, some things were kept in check, there wasn't an anti-gun bill that was passed by the Congress and the Senate that George Bush said he wouldn't sign. He did, for instance, both second George Bush with the Veterans Disarmament Bill. We're in an ongoing series of actions. Fortunately, because we've had you up before for this reason, you've been in the fight nonstop. You've seen firsthand the response and you've looked at the eyes of the enemy on a very personal basis, haven't you? Yes, I have. I spent two years on Capitol Leosa. a registered lobbyist in Washington when we first decided to form this institute by lobbying. Again, the battlefields are at the state level right now because the states are the key. That's what's happening right now. Yes, they are. But that's switching. The momentum is there. One of the measures that we're looking here in the... Let's tie this in. For some people, I've touched on this already, but what has happened is Montana is now seeking As I understand it, this is where they are going, they are seeking a manufacturer to produce 100 Montana rifles. They will be 22s and they will be contracted by the state of Montana. That is what I have read. What they are looking for is they are going to flat out say they don't need to ask the federal government for permission to do this because these are manufactured in Montana for Montana. and they're outside the sphere of control of the corporate slash the Fed. or something? Yes, they cannot sell a 50-millimeter. The other interesting thing about this is, let me ask you this, because here's something that you've been traveling around the country, but you've also had a chance to see from the Washington end, does the general cheers up that Washington understand what's happening with the attitude of the states, or are they trying to live in splendid isolation and denial still? I want to get into... Not a problem. I don't think it would be beneficial for me to get into a discussion right now about what's going on because I think all of us can see what's going on, whether or not it's filtered up to the top yet. I can tell you this. I've had... This is in line with, from another direction, we are seeing what is the same. I guess what's described as a pregnant pause. There was an idea, I think, in the idea of the Osama bin Laden crowd. They were going to pull what they did in 1992-93 and it was initiated first by George Bush. Everybody needs to remember that George Bush the first set everything up claiming that he was going to push it through. Clinton claimed that he wasn't. Everybody went into brain fart thinking, well, after all Bill Clinton said, and then he turned right around and signed everything exactly as Bush originally proposed, then continued with the rest of the anti-gun rhetoric and was rabid. Well, I want to go ahead and say something that we discussed at the early Porsche show today. The United States House of Representatives. The vote was 279 to 149 on the right to kill one in our favor. You guys think about that now. The mood. That's what I'm telling you. That they know. Democratic in the Midwest. He is in an office. He ran under a particular party's flag. and now claims that he is going to jump from that to the opposition party. It is a contract breaking act. It is fraud. Yes. There again, I will say this, remember we have always called him a Rhino. Republican and namely. That's right. A couple of those are up. Of course, as we said, there are a lot of things happening that are positive. We are seeing this in all circles and I think it helps to have you again responding from this direction. I understand not being able to talk about it because this right now is still going to become a heated debate from yet another direction. We're dealing with globalists who hate America.
