Summary
Mark Koernke discussed rifle mechanics and design history, focusing on the AR-15, AR-180, and M16 platforms, explaining how the .223 caliber was chosen to minimize structural damage to aircraft. He covered the forward assist mechanism and charging handle design. The show shifted to caller Tom from northern Michigan reporting a census bureau visit and concerns about government surveillance. Koernke then discussed personal security awareness, perimeter defense, and self-defense tactics including concealed carry methods, revolver reliability, and situational awareness. He emphasized the importance of maintaining security consciousness in daily life and understanding one's position in space as a defensive principle.

because well guys a .22 caliber pop rivet is a whole lot better than a .30 caliber hole that goes through every component of the aircraft when it hits it. The guy's running up with a Molotov cocktail, he's going to throw a Molotov or a grenade or something in a plane which costs $4 million. And the idea is if the guy puts a rifle to his shoulder and goes, bwah! Well, or even if he just goes, pop, pop, pop, or just pop. if he misses the assailant and then asked to fire again and hit him or eventually fires and hits him but the misses well what's right behind the guy that's got the you know the Molotov is the aircraft well a 22 caliber hole is a whole lot easier to deal with than something in 30 caliber so the very premise of the 223 was to do minimal structural damage and do more you know people damage Well, that policy or that weapon system was pulled over into the military, into the, oh, forgive me, the Air Force's military, slide me on the microphone, but was, was pulled over into the army and the idea was pushed several times we know that uh... from personal experience when that i served with the people that i've worked with uh... interest as a training officer of your guys were in for special forces that would tell me flat out yet again along the little black rifles uh... well somewhere around sixty one or so and they tried to hand a case creative them out to uh... some of the teams are over there in vietnam in the very early early days And the guy said, no, no, I'll stick with my M2 carbine. They liked the carbine. The carbine was small. You carry lots of mags. Reliability had been worked out. The thing was functional. Knew how to clean it. Everything worked. And it was smaller and comparably light. We find a niche there right away in its XM model, the E1, or actually the XM, R15, M16 family rifles that first came out. But it was eventually used in the Dominican Republic uprising later on by the Army. Anyway, that wasn't the rifle. What I'm building this up to is the M18, which we all call the AR180 today, is actually the rifle that Stoner wanted to push into the industry, to the US Army. The reason? Well, take a look at the rifle. It actually has the basic features of the FNFAL as far as style, pattern, look, feel. It was supposed to use the same magazine, but instead, because it was introduced into the gun ban era, or the uh... you know really you know return of control freak here what they did is they said yeah you can produce the rifle but it'll use a different locking point for the magazine which meant that while it was the same size mag is a government mag for the air fifteen and in fact was totally interchangeable except for the fact that the not the cut for the magazine keeper was such different from the government model and if you tried to modify uh... a government mag it would not lock in could not easily be locked in there is fair things that could be done but the point was that uh... this was supposed to prevent pilferage okay uh... and there were other issues involved to but the point is that uh... the air of the air one eighty as you know it today another dot by the way there's a new release of the air one eighty beautiful rifle and now the new one takes standard air fifteen magazines completely no modifications are needed click click clack clack plugs in and you get all the bags from the inventory to use in the air one eighties out there internals are pretty much the same and this rifle was in steel and the most critical feature for the air one eighty that stoner pushed was the fact that you had complete access to the bulk carrier to if need be jump-started the air fifteen of it had a major malfunction or a real stoppage there was no way to easily clear the weapon first the solution that the army came up with the the engineers uh... towards the uh... middle of the war was the forward a problem before assist on the air fifteen is you have to beat the weapon in the submission to get it to work yeah that's basically what you're doing guys think about you have a a fine tool fine machine with with the earth the factory you have a fine machine and something has gone wrong ua stop check to see what's going on with it what the malfunction is or do you grab a hammer and beat it closed and just temple the trigger so to speak and see what happens well it's basically what transpired with the whole scenario of the AR-15 when they put the forward assist on board. Well, there we go. I hear the music. Well, what we're going to do, guys, for all of you that are listening, be patient. This is the Intel Report, micro effects in the morning. AR180, you can grab the charging handle and directly affect the bolt. This means it likes the carbine and the garand. You can jump start it like a motorcycle. If all fails, keep the weapon away from you, put it down low, put your foot on the charging handle and try to jam it open to at least get the failure out of my arm rather than pushing it farther in. Just little ideas there, points of the compass and how things have changed and how the engineers have burned the books and rewritten them again. We'll be back in about four minutes here. This is the Intel Report. God bless the Republic. Death's in New World Order. We shall prevail. We'll be back right here with a micro effect Intel Report in the second hour. You build confidence. We're going to have what is probably going to be really good, the coolest event and communications we've had in the last 15 years. It's going to be the Hallmark and alternate networks coming together with yet a third independent grid, and we're going to have what will be a golden spike day to be broadcasting and we will know that we have literally crossed the country and interwoven across the country with systems other than the internet but they can replace the internet when the time comes when they shut the system off they'll be cutting off their nose to spike their face and we will have the entire in so many ways that literally you can't shut it off so for all of our guys and gals or the restaurant crew and for all the people that have been working on the uh... alternate system from the other direction regulations hands make for light work and we have accomplished what we set out to do. And you guys have all made it happen. I've just helped to coordinate a few things. The real heroes on this, we're going to have them up on the air eventually. And when we do, it'll be too late. The bad guys will not be able to stop this. In fact, they can't. It's got a motion of its own, guys. It's its own life. Anyway, I hear the bell. If my computations and calculations and indications all come up right, let me see here. I put a 3 there. Yeah, hey, it's the 23rd of April, you guys. It is Thursday morning and we lost Mark there. We should have Mark back in just a moment, but hey, Tom is handed off and we're just going to run until we get Mark back. And then the baton will be handed off and we will continue to run. Mark was here the first hour, you guys, and apparently there was something. and got disconnected. I don't know where Mark was going because of particular circumstances in this portion of the arena. I'm going to pick up where I want to go, okay? I would tell you that for a number of years now I've been misinforming you because I've been bringing you some quotes and some other things from a book that I used to call it the book, the Alien and Sedition Act. Well, acts, but i found the book yesterday i thought i'd loaned it to somebody and hadn't seen it in years and then moving crates of stuff around and while look at all these papers in the box of papers underneath that another box of papers there i found this book you guys i've had this book for years uh... i bought this book from a library sale and if you open up the cover very first the title page it says crisis and freedom the alien and sedition hat that's rather that is the title now i'm gonna put this down for a moment we're gonna I don't change gears here because I've got a caller. So who do we have on the line? Good morning, Tom. Kind of disgusted. I go get out of here. You know what? That one pilot can get a shotgun. You can listen to the 911 tape. The cops know where I live. I need to get past that. Like I told every 10 years they're supposed to... How many people live here? They're not supposed to ask anything else. He goes, well this is because of Homeland Security, about her key brought up, her case, history, and everything else. He goes, well, it's legal. I go use when he was walking out. I go, you know, this is wrong. I go it's unconstitutional and Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, my computer puked just what Mark went down. I can't hear what's going on. All right, you guys, we're back at the intelligence report. That was the brother's helps. Again, this is the intelligence report by the Micro Effect Plus Network. We've got Tom from northern Michigan on talking about census gatherers. And what came of this encounter, Tom? Everything's happening now. It almost started yesterday because I was getting kind of, I'm tired of getting caught of any other house I was. He said that we're going to have to start taking pictures of Muslims. I mean, the other guy was a weak. I'm sorry for being so frustrated, Tom, but... Oh, these days... You know, they're trying to get me shot. They're trying to get this a second time, so I went to get injured, which I never did. I'm sorry for blowing, I just had to blow some stuff down. I'm just frustrated, I'm sorry. Oh no, I understand. I didn't know that other guy. I know the one. You don't want to, ready to leave here or something here. Here's a man in a suit at the door and I'm wondering, well, they just sent one guy, so you know what I mean. Knowledge tight through your mind. And he hands me a piece of paper and he says, I wanted you to know that we'll be in the neighborhoods for the next while and we'll come by and talk to you again. Whoa! I know. I thought to myself, if you're in the Census Bureau, why didn't you just ask me the three questions right now? The efficiency of our government. They'll send somebody to knock on your door who's supposed to ask you some questions and he'll make a couple statements and go and make a couple statements someplace else. Although as you pointed out, Tommy, I did not see this guy go to any of my neighbor's houses. I don't mess with him. Exactly. We're seeing this left and right. I would ask if we could run into the commercial of the bottom of the hour break a little bit. I have somebody at the door that it'd be very convenient. I have to take this. This guy is in the yard, you guys. And I hate that air. I know all the listeners. He's gonna be knocking on the door and you're gonna be hearing the dog running any second. So when that breaker runs some music, that'd be really good. I have to get this. I'm sorry. Wait for a moment. I'll be right back. We made that happen as fast as we could and I appreciate your understanding and I can't leave him hanging around. the dead air there you guys and as mentioned Tommy subject to one of the uh... or census bureau people and you know i didn't mention that on the air that one of them had come to my door this old way again that you know eyes and boots on the ground even if they're in the works you know you can put boots on the ground and they can be in loafers and i don't mean to be double talking you there certainly understand what i'm trying to do doesn't have to be a black suit and he doesn't have to have pulled that thing up that'll white-tapping i don't know It doesn't have to be that way with the guy because you know you can hide off a lot of you got layers and layered the t-shirt and the dress shirt. See I'm not the type of description. They don't really you know they're not the easiest thing to jump out you know an conversation but below the vest there's one layer and both hide a handgun or even you can carry two handguns of the same type and matching. That's a brace of handguns and you can hide a brace of handguns one under each shoulder. under its suit rather handily without someone being aware of what you're containing. K.T. This article was written or posted to EBM. It's obviously a cover story for something. I went down and glassed the bay going on right now this morning. It's really what's going on, but it's definitely a cover story for something. I wonder, you're right, what's going on. The Army Air Force was using in particular places sunken ships along the coast for target practice. bombing aerial runs and whatnot, even machine gunning practice. It was pounded into nothingness, just plates laying on the bottom now. Even if it's blanks at a risk, it does seem odd. But you'll see, on occasion, the commercial wing, you know, a helix and the .30 caliber, the hide and their lacing. The helos were there. I've got confirmation on that from two different people, between 10 and midnight. And again, the timestamp at 11.48 p.m. That's a real time story during an exercise. And they generally, they will let us know, hey we're going to be doing stuff out here, don't get alarmed. And that was not the case this time. Whatever significance it is. Anyway, I want to let you all know about that. Keep up the good work. Send you an email. Get Mark to respond. Give me a call. OK, now you had to move an eye shot of this. It wasn't under your whole time? No, it was not. In other words, I didn't hear it. I was in bed. 10 o'clock and I didn't hear any helos but two neighbors darn sure did in the media what was really happening I believe it did simply because I was at confirmed helos and there were helos there the earliest morning about 6 30 that's why I went down there checked it out but like I said no recovery operation what's it's quiet out there okay one more time first happened this and that's what in Chronicle is the one that published the online anything else that's it y'all keep up the good work Okay, God bless the fuck to make of that, but drug interdiction could be one thing. And it might not have been because, you know, we're gonna see the marks in the concrete or the holes in the wind, any number of there, doesn't it? It's like a, I wanna think about aliens or something, but you know, I wanna get back to, you know, you're gonna see the sense of people. And then when we, I wanna drag that out a little bit because, you know, and I wanna go back to this for this very rings run along that can be like I say, seal. Even small guns and a number of t-shirts, t-shirt and maybe a third, a real good access that way. You have to go down through the top underneath the shirt that way. But quick access if you have to put it up like that. Think about this. And we've discussed, this is kind of disgusting man in the suit. It could be a back belt area on the side under a long boot or whatnot. That gun's going to come out. Think about it. That gun's going to come out. If it's a reach to the person, has to reach across like, you know, with a shoulder holster. The gun they offer you their elbow, the same arm they're reaching for. It's called number one control. There's a reason it's called number one control. When you learn to just right, you lever people off their feet. Okay, and if he's bringing the gun out and you lever him off his feet, you might even take the gun from him. I'm getting a little bit. He doesn't even want to take the gun. He's reaching into his suit and just shoots you through his number of people and I'm going to address this through a number of people saying, well, that Glock or that 1911 or that whatever it might be, slide gun, it's gonna get one shot off and it's gonna jam. Well, this is true. If someone wants to get one shot off with a slide gun from the armpit, you know, barely clearing leather, so to speak, that gun is going to jam. The only way you're gonna get that shot off is if you have one in the tube. You understand that, you're not gonna get that shot off if you have to ratchet one into the chamber, hotline to the brake here in them. But I think I can get this out in that duration of time. continuing on that thought line. Granted, they're a little bit wider motion to them, but that can be compensated for with the harp. But what if that man had a revolver under his, or rather, installed into his shoulder harness? More on that when we come back from the break, you guys, the intelligence report, and the discussion of the dangerous man in the suit. We'll be back in about three minutes. And again, you know, you've heard it many times, but hey, that was the brothers. is the micro effect broadcast network bringing to you in this deuce of ours, this brace of ours, the intelligence report. Now let's go back to that, you know, the innocuous looking, you know, non-threatening, Casper milk toast kind of guy in a suit. You know, fucking down the street, you know, there's some grenades hanging off the caries and there's rather, that one pretty easy. Casper milk toast over there, you know, he, he might be, when you ask him if he's from the government, he'll tell you, no, I'm from, you know, name any state in the union, I don't want to pick any particular state. You look at the guy and say, are you from the government? He'll say, no, I'm from blank. Put your state in there. And that's a diversion by itself, but the Casper, he'll tell you, he's not from the government, he's from Guilher City in a particular state, and he's just here to talk to you about, tell you the whole of it. When the person who is here selling you children's books says, well, wait, see that house way over there? There's children in that house, and see that house across the street? I'm not... certain anybody's home, but there's children in that house. And when the guy in the suit and his buddy in the suit gets in the green Tahoe and gives away totally out of sight and he doesn't stop at the houses that are indicated with, oh you tell them there's children in that house and you're here to tell me children's books, you tell me, well there's children there and they don't stop at those houses. That's pretty much state. They tell them 70s and even today in some places in the big cities, Friday night and Saturday night, you can go and if you know where to go, go and show up and see the street races, you can watch people doing battle with their hollies out there in the street, you know, full throttle and everything. You know who makes hollies? Who has the holly carburetor? Who is the parent company? If that is cold. I find that rather interesting because these days we, you know, on occasion see young men doing battle in the street full and 100, 150 years we saw young men doing battle. I think that's kind of a neat little parallel. But you know, certain gun fighters get, you know, reputations. And certain gun fighters gained reputations as not exactly being all on the up and up, just cheating. And you wonder, well, you know, you're standing there watching these two guys walk out in the street, you know, they're squinty-eyed and it's high and new and that, and it's off because, you know, when the other guy shot him. Well, how can you cheat in a gunfight, you might ask? Well, you look at those pretty leather saddles. See, for a good portion of my life, I worked with what? And it's, you know, I could tell you about that for the rest of the are but I'm not gonna it's like caveman it's like the second old profession it's like here I'll trade you a future imagination in that time frame even today you can go out and buy a leather holster yes look at gunfighter you might take you might talk to the guy who worked you might talk to that shoemaker or that bet or the guy who makes satellite who makes holster and you might have him build a holster that is of particular thickness and wet it. You know when you wet leather and stretch it and you wet leather and stretch it across the form and hold it there for a good while and as it dries. This is how you see these neat curves in leather holsters. Well you might think I'm just rambling on but you know if a gun fighter were to kill a leather man he doesn't have to draw his gun out of the hole. What he has to do is swing his gun forward a quarter of an inch or an eighth of an inch to clear that were three notches of us. So you see how you can cheat in a gun fight? Instead of Slapping and clearing leather, you know, the, you know, slap as you reach for your gun and clearing the leather as you pull the gun clear of the leather, this one swing his gun forward and it would jump out of the holster. Now see how you can cheat in a gunfight? Now let's go back to that man in the suit, carrying under the shoulder. Perhaps he just has one revolver under, maybe he has a brace of guns, one under each shoulder, but who knows? Now, Thinking about that formed leather and you know in this modern day of better living through chemistry how about a formed piece of plastic where you push a button or it folds back and now your gun jumps free of the holster but as the gun is sitting in the holster it's contained and cradled in such a way that the revolver will function wholly and totally even in the holster. Now look at the man in the suit who does not even have to clear leather or plastic or even show you his gun as he reaches under his armpit and turns the holster because you know you can build holsters that will twist and turns the holster and you never see the gun as he shoots you through his shirt coat and you don't get any jamming ejected cases because he's not shooting a slide gun. Shot will get ripped off in the second shot and if he chooses he can bring the gun clear of the holster and see how rapid that response would be. think about it. And this doesn't just apply as a threat, does it? It applies as a tool that you can use now, doesn't it? And, you know, there are those that deride slide guns and those that say wheeled guns load slow. But, you know, as far as rock solid dependability, it's pretty hard to beat a wheel gun. A revolver to the wife, and she didn't do anything about it, I'd put a revolver in her hand and think that when she pulls the trigger every time she does, you're going to get a response. There's not going to be any stove piping and there's not going to be any magazine dropping out because some magazine is set in the wrong place because you know the slap and tap drill. Think about that threat of the man in the suit the next time the census guy knocks on your door. That's just another way to look at it. And since Wednesday we talk about keeping the perimeter secure and your perimeter goes with you doesn't it? When I'm sitting here, I'm looking out and I look out a window and everything I see out of that window save for a few treetops more than a quarter mile away. No, I'm not bragging. It's just, I'm just telling you about perimeter and I'm using, I can look out here and I can see, save for the lack of information from what's behind that tree or behind that bush. I can pretty much, and I can look over here through a different window and I can check the portion of most of those is my perimeter. I don't have 360 degrees view sitting where I'm at, but you know, you do with what you can. Don't you use the tools that are on the table mind if I get up walk out the door my perimeter goes with me and if you're not thinking like this you're the person that's going to be caught in the dark alley by the by the Mobster gangster or anything up and you might be a little more prepared again sometimes even if you're looking around some Situations can't think about where we stand in this of our universe someone once said that you know if if the universe truly is boundless and endless and edgeless, that the center of the universe can be anywhere. And that gives any right to any man, the right to claim he is the center of the universe. The center of the universe might be a little bit braggadocious, I'm the center of the universe. Don't look at it like aggrandization. Certain people do who monetary might bear their soul and power that they... But if you look at yourself as a center right way, you can take that and do with, you know, you can live like a crook or whatnot. But when you think of yourself as the center of the universe and those center, you kind of raise it above the other creatures that breathe and crawl on the earth. You know what I'm trying to say there. If you can elevate yourself, you kind of get some, even if you were important self, you know. And this is portion realizing self, because I've used that word a number of times now, to, you know, I can look over here and see the boat, see about 30 foot, you know, make a, by orienting my feet in this particular way, I can look to me, I'm not an owl, I can't turn my I have to turn my body. And you know, these are such bait. When you're out and not looking around, if you're not aware, you're giving up a great portion of your freedom. Understand that because you are leaving yourself open and vulnerable to the criminal element. Okay, so keep looking around and that doesn't just apply to, well, look at all those guys in uniform marching down the road. It could very well just as easily apply to the man in the suit. Keep looking around, American. We're right at the top of the hour. Thank you for tuning in. Frank's coming up next, so here comes a real commercial phrase. Don't touch that dial. Wow, I've always wanted to get that out on the air. That kind of made me self-important. Don't touch that. Go affect broadcast networks and the intelligence reports signing off.
