What? Yeah, yeah, you know, in the past when the pre-FEMA, at least when Civil Defense went in, there wasn't anybody who went in and grabbed an axe and started chopping phone lines. But once you had FEMA, a warring element that's designed to wage war against the American people, not really part of the United States, Homeland Security, so the Interior Police of the KGB, one of the first things that they were doing, guys, is cutting surviving phone lines. LOH, loose operator headspace. You have a surviving infrastructure. It's going to cost you God knows how much to take care of the equipment, try to fix it. Oh, that's why the locals your best bet stick with your local and for local peace officers your local sheriff's deputies supposed to be peace officers and You need to be pitching in well, that's where the militia issue comes in militia organized locally negates this whole thing with FEMA The FEMA people are so far away they're out of touch with everyone and that's intentional too. If you organize properly and you organize well, you're up and online immediately. The streets can be clear what lighting you have or what lights or power you have can be maintained quickly, understand your infrastructure and how it needs to be supported or how it can be supported. There are resources to be done but step one is setting up a communications grid. Well, a lot of you are going to find out the cell phone systems are going to go offline. Before we had cell phones, and before or even as we had 2 meter radios, CB became really popular guys. And I cannot stress enough, you can go to the truck stops, they're already having distress sales, if you go around depending on how remote it is. Guys, radios, radios, radios. You can find everything you need to hook up a portable unit on your car, and everything you need basically to make a, set up a system at home. So, and by the way, car radios will work just fine as base stations at home. And in fact, you're going to want that type of radio because it's set up for 12 volt to begin with. Think about it. If you have to run a radio at the house, you're going to probably try to use solar panels, battery backup, whatever else you got, crank generators, etc., etc. Well, the 12 volt system is the solution. And that means that all you need to do is, so the connecting system is simple, already in the box, so to speak, with everything else, prepped and ready to go. And if you want to hook up your CB if you want to wait because you don't want everybody to see the uncouth radio antenna you might have on your house, whatever that means. I don't know how, what is it that's supposed to be aesthetically correct but the goo come up with nonsense like that or people are worried about it, personally I'm not. But hook up the antenna, give it some high ground and now all of a sudden you've got local communications. Remember you don't have to talk to the world with the CB although it will bounce guys, trust me we know this. But most important is that you actually have if you put the power down switch on switches which over to local You have the ability to talk and not necessarily blast to the planet now This is simple most of the people going well, I'm gonna have this problem with it around that problem with it or what doesn't have any other people can hear Well in the past that was true with CB and people learned to be courteous people learn to use the system and people who were a problem typically were dealt with accordingly because the people kind of enforced themselves. So you're going to have to work on that again and that means asserting yourself, not just being a limp noodle waiting for something else than somebody else to deal with something. This is also true with regard to other forms of communication to include shortwave and any of the other VHF UHF systems. You have a system, you have for instance a set of handhelds, but other people probably have the same and probably even have the same frequencies uh... on hand release same bandwidth covered so remember you're going to get clutter at different times people can kind of establish a signal and a pain using a certain frequency and people will know other people know well knock it off by about uh... after click and i can subdivide or moved to another band we don't know the moment on the bandwidth and everybody's happy you have to use some common sense the other thing is there are as many people out there using common sense is there was what as would be needed initially so you're going to have open space more than likely in phase one but as things develop people start dusting off the stuff in the garage cleaning up the equipment they have or even going out to the truck stops that still have inventory and cleaning them out there to be changes in your signal net to as it develops you can also promote it one of the things to consider is actually have extra radios which is a good idea watch for stuff with yard sales put it in a box put on the shelf worse gonna happen is if you got for a little nothing or out of the freebie box oh well big deal Later on, if you've got to get rid of it, you get rid of it. But the cool thing is, you actually have a system on hand or a backup system you can hand out. And that's something you should be looking at. Any kind of radio communications, any antennas, any spare coaxial cable, whatever. Well, inventory it, check it, clean it up, roll it up, bag it, have everything squared away so that it's marked an ID for what it's attached to. and then uh... you've got a reserve when the time comes so that will i need a radio to a really nice mind was destroyed or i need a radio i don't have anything but uh... or party a part of your team now which is true that's gonna happen to your recruit in different ways so uh... well we don't hand out your best which you can hand out something on strike you thought you're gonna here that can we get into the you know a lot of people who are going to decide that they need your food At first, it's going to be kind of funny because, you see, I recommend you have a big, cold bowl of oatmeal ready by the door.
