Mark Koernke discussed preparedness, firearms, and militia activities on December 12, 2008. The show featured extensive quartermaster segments covering affordable firearms options (Mosin revolvers, High Point pistols, Nagat revolvers), ammunition availability from vendors like J&G Sales and CDNN Sports, and tactical gear including gas mask eyeglass frames, web gear, and storage solutions. Callers included Mike Lewis announcing a Texas militia field training exercise near Teague, George from Texas discussing recent firearms purchases and constitutional convention concerns, and various ammunition and firearms inquiries. The hosts emphasized offensive political strategies to rescind unconstitutional state legislation, recommended Ron Paul for Texas governor, and discussed practical storage and preparedness techniques including foam underlayment for cardboard boxes and heritage seed tomatoes from Whole Foods.

A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat and speaking low to me he said, We've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations this legacy we gave. In this the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost. You're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You vie permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state You read about the current news in a regulated press and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold you trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright. As Iowoki vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trampled each God given right we only watching tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave is? distill the land of the free and home butter knife and then well Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I was flat-footed this time. It is 12 December 2008 women. Let me look through the microphone. You don't look flat-footed Oh, wait a minute. Okay. Well, I'll tell you what, guys. A couple things here, and again, this is a Quartermaster Friday, but we have a couple of things we're going to be touching on, too. Actually, all Quartermaster-related. A couple things. There are weapons, as always. We're going to mention weapons. Our guns have something that I'd noticed they must have gotten in, probably like everybody else. They're desperately looking for firearms to pick up, guys. and uh... it turns out that there is some of these Moisins they got, oh forgive me, not Moisins they got, they got Revolvers, the model 1895 they got Revolvers yeah I know they're a special cartridge but what's interesting is they're only seventy nine dollars a piece and they're a very rugged built pistol they're built in the old school design uh... they come with the lanyard, the cleaning kit, the adjustment tools The holster, the pistol itself, ammunition is available from a number of places. I did not look to see if our guns has them, but they do have the pistols for $79 a piece, these revolvers. And if you want to find out more, you can get hold of our guns by calling 847-428-3569. That's 847-428-3569. As far as the rest of the ads in the shotgun news, it might as well be the Sears Roebuck catalog from 1890. Okay, however this week's are shotgun news does have some pretty interesting stuff and those are an odd niche weapon if you're looking for something for under $100 One option is to go with the nagat revolver. The other is the high point pistol High point pistols, well, of course, those are American and modern made Somehow tomatic are in 380 auto. They're in 40 caliber 45 ACP 9 millimeter And guys, they're a good option, high points are. If you're looking for something for under 100 that you can issue out or you can use in the family and is reliable. These NEGOT revolvers ain't nothing fancy about them. They're very straightforward. Again, old school design, but metallurgy is pretty decent on them. Another thing, also speed loaders. I've mentioned this a thousand times, guys. HSK speed loaders, number 10s, these are for the K frames. Hunter's Lodge Corporation, historical firearms and accoutrements. Well, some of their prices are pretty historical, I'm here to tell you. However, they do have 38 special K-Frame 38357, six-shot revolver speed loaders for a little under $10 apiece. The more you buy, the cheaper they are. Just to see what they have on hand, to see if you can get a better price and make deals, you know, talk to these people. This is something that's an oddball niche by today's standards. So if you want to give them a ring. Uh oh, this is going to slap me Mark. Okay there we go. I was going to say I lost it for a second. 931-766-0755. That's 931-766-0755. And they're located out of Etheridge, Tennessee. And a lot of other odds and in stuff, most ARs, AKs, anything like that's gone. We know that. But if you want to spot check them, you never know, they do carry a wide range of magazines. So if there might be something unique you're looking for, they might actually have it. They got Marlin Glenfield 70, seven round mags. Hey guys, if you can't find them any other way, you get a whole bunch of those mags and make them count. Okay, better to have a whole bunch of seven round mags than only one mag and then harsh language in one round at a time. Okay, the harsh language is you trying to fit that little round into that tiny chamber under duress. Another thing that they do have, they have, if they have any left, now here's a problem, a lot of people have been looking for these. If you have a Mahdi rifle, the 8mm Egyptian Mahdi, beautiful weapon, 10 round magazines that are original, there are no aftermarket mags on these, now they're $39.95 a piece. But if you have the Mahdi, you know it's a tack driver at 600 yards. I wouldn't have any problem at all picking that rifle up and showing you how to make a dance. And again, this is the company's name is Hunter's Lodge Corp. 931-766-0755. So I want to make sure we got that out. And also the ammo cans are in with military outfitters. Butterknife probably has a package on the way that's going to arrive soon that will be very happy. Oh, could he? So watch the mail because some strange clanky packages are on your way. They won't be too clanky. They got all kinds of stuff around them and in them so they won't make any noise. I love containers to the point that I almost scrounge around looking for things to put in all the containers. Well the more sooner they're filled up the sooner you need more. Oh, it's a never ending cycle isn't it? Well again for the quartermaster. It's the way the world works and Another thing now. This is an oddball Subject, but we cover web gear all the time now some of you of course might have a Course I wouldn't know who it is, but you might have an m3 grease gun and if you have an m3 grease gun Here's a company that does yeah But the there are some out there in fact there were broad-head armory pistols and the broad-head armory 45 ACP grease gun knockoff Done with the extra-long barrel and they did the mock OSS type suppressor around it so the you know the barrel looked a little more conventional Rather than just having a big long tube out the end to make it you know regular length anyway if you got the broad-head armory Car beam or if you have it the pistol or if you have a number of other weapons in that size range, remember there's a lot of other light guns, light rifles that were built about the size of the, oh the Grease Gun, the M3 or M3A1. Well they've got an interesting little package, it's the Grease Gun Elite Forces carry bag, it's basically a little package made up in the canvas. of the type used in World War II or carried by the paratroopers etc. are a variation on it. Now it's cool, this has four mag pouches for the stick mags on the outside. It has a loading tool kit station, plus it has the bag that fits the weapon itself. Normally it wouldn't be jumping out of me, but and again it's a little specialized, but if you've got certain weapons This company has some of the oddball leather items to match up with the unique older grandpa guns you got. So you could actually have the right web gear to go along with the firearm. They've got the three mag pouches for the racing, a bunch of other stuff. Anyway, the Grease Gun Mag Pouch, or this pouch kit system, is more like a paratrooper kit. $40 a piece, that's not bad because it's done in the canvas and it's done to the original patterns. A lot of other leather, they've got stuff for your Luger, Broomhandle Mauser, 1911. You've got the Walter P-22 Holsters, they've got the Walter P-22 Holsters for the Walter 22s, the Pilot Survival Kits, remember they used to have those, the Air Force issued. Well, they got the shoulder holsters to fit those little monsters and all kinds of other good stuff. Now, everybody's going to give out a number. Okay, here's the number. First of all, it's 908-903-1200. That's 908. 903-1200 and their website is www.ima-usa.com. That's www.ima-usa.com. If you have a certain system, this is where you're going to find the stuff that fits that weapon. You might have an old stier stripper clip fed. some automatic pistol, pre-World War II or pre-World War I depending on the model. Well guess what? Kind of odd to find leather for that? They've got it. If you're looking for Luger leather, that's, you know, again you don't want to carry your World War I leather out there, but the Luger is more inservicable enough. They're making repros that are very reasonably priced in the leather and to the original print. Example is they've got a copy of the Luftwaffe shoulder holster rig that they did for the Luger. cool idea and again remember it's designed to actually secure the weapon which is really half the battle you can put it in a holster that flops around him but you might well you might find that when you reach for it if it wasn't meant for that particular weapon when you reach for it all you might find is the holster and not the pistol so it'd be good to have the right package for the right firearm one more time on that I almost walked away from that number. One more time for that phone number is 908-903-1200 and their webpage again is www.ima-usa.com. Tell them you heard about them on the Intel report. These are somebody we're just finding contacts. Now Mike did a J&G report earlier but I'm going to have him do it again for this hour for people who missed it. But Butter Knife we got a number of things we need to cover and you've got a bunch of things you found so let us know what's going on please. Okay, well, one of the things that Mark has mentioned, oh once or twice maybe, is gas masks and chemical protection. And the standard procedure with a gas mask is you put the thing on and you just don't see very well. That is if you wear glasses. There are a couple of solutions for that. The one you do not want to use is contacts. Of course, Mike has spoken on this a number of times and scolded us in advance for even thinking about that sort of thing. Some of the masks have available particular eyeglass frames that snap into the mask, and that certainly works. If you have access to those frames for the sorts of masks you have, and of course you are married to that particular style of mask, a more generic solution is eyeglass frames that are tactical and designed specifically for the purpose of fitting under a gas mask. These are rather small frames. They do not look very attractive, but that's not the point. The idea is to sit very close to your face and your eye so that they are low profile. And they use an elastic strap rather than rigid ears. So they do not disrupt the gas seal around the side of your face. Many months ago we called these out on the air and specified a vendor for them. You can find these at store.oldgrouch.biz. That is store.oldoldgrouch.biz. Now when we called these out in the past, They were $12 a piece and they offered them for $50 for five of them. And I thought that was a pretty good price and so did Mark. At the moment they are on sale for an even more attractive price of $9 for a single pair or five pair for $37.50. I consider this a no-brainer Definitely grab these. I would suggest if you wear glasses or even one other person in your group or household or what not does, get five. You have no idea how many people are going to arrive. Now fitting lenses in there may be an exercise for the student to be handled later. But these are not a common off-the-shelf item and they're highly worthwhile having And of course they can transfer from one person to another with an appropriate change of lens. So I would suggest that people look hard at this and consider grabbing these while they're available. Remember, these are military surplus and like all other mil-serve, when they're gone, they're gone. I don't know how much inventory there is out there. But if you need five or 10 of these, this is an affordable option. The source, one last time, is store. dot old grouch dot biz dot b-i-z. Bravo India Zulu. And that's categorized under the EMS and first aid gear. You'll find those military tactical eyeglass frames. Okay? Go ahead and give that a couple more, two more times at least for the contact info and everybody listen because one of the things guys that we've had happen like you said is either A, you go without, which for some people it drastically reduces range with regard to you know again operations, effective operation. The other is people of sacrifice. We've talked about this before. If you have to, you can take a pair of, like a frame that you've had for a long time, with an older or still serviceable set of lenses in them, unscrew and take off the arms, you know, the iris, and then glue them, hot glue them. I know I don't like that idea, but it says people have done it. They've taken and fixedured. either carefully with tape or by gluing them into the gas mask with hot glue so they're just secured and leaving them in the mask ready to be used with the mask as is. In other words, you take your glasses off, they automatically go in the pocket even as you're reaching down to grab your mask, pull the mask out, put it on, and hey, they're there. Now in this case, these tack frames And remember the older ones actually did exactly what I'm talking about. You actually had a set that were wire-ficured that went right into the eyepieces. The others are like a pair of sport glasses. which actually have a narrow band and what you do is you go to your optometrist, have them find a set of lenses that will fit and have them inserted with your prescription. So both solutions are an option, both of them are out there in different forms, but this is a good direction to go. Go ahead, but please don't interrupt anymore, give the numbers out please. Okay, the source on this outfit is store.oldgrouch.biz That is store store.oldgrouch.com. That's under the EMS supplies or it's got a search mechanism. You can you can search for frames and they will come up. And those are $9 for a single pair or five pair for $37.50, which is considerably reduced from what we considered a good deal in the past. So this is a purpose is an excellent opportunity to deal with some of the little you know niches You know niche spots where where there are things that we've covered on the air at least we can find the source for them You have the ability to you know take care of that problem now eyes are critical. I don't care what anybody says I mean yes, I can make do effective the biggest thing guys for the longest time Well one of the things they do behind the wires they play with you by taking your glasses and destroying them and it takes months or it takes years to actually get them replaced through the system in some cases. So what I got used to is the idea of not using my glasses at all. Well what's funny is there's a bunch of eye exercises I was taught years ago by some of the guys who were working on non-operative correction of your vision and strangely enough they work quite well to the point where in reality with glasses my biggest problem now is I wear glasses or I use them for sharp... for better visibility at range, okay? But now the problem I've got, in the past I could always draft, write, do whatever with the glasses on and I don't need them, I mean I really can't use them at all. My eyes are so strong at close range that it's a problem. I mean actually it's easier for me to just take them off, leave them off and just operate. So you can condition and strengthen the eyes. We're so used to squinting and working our eyes and compressing them and it really does work on that physical part of your body after a while. Do we have a caller? Tell you what guys, let's hold right where we are. Who do we have? Mike Lewis in Texas. Hey Mike Lewis, jump in there. What do you got for us? I just want to tell everybody one more time that we are having a field training exercise in Texas one week from tomorrow. It's going to be on private land in the Teague area. Teague is about 50 miles north of Houston and about 95 miles south of Dallas. We're going to have a field training exercise starting at 8am in the morning and we're going to camp out there that Saturday night. But if you don't want to camp out there that Saturday night, you can go home. But this is open to all militia men and all militia units. To get invited to it, all you've got to do is send me an email. To find my email address, just go to our website. Our website is TexasMilitia, all one word, dot info, I-N-F-O. So it's Texas T-X-I-L-I-T-I-A. I'll send you an email. back with directions and a map. Excellent. And again, everybody that's out there that's listening is invited. Come one, come all, but make sure that you're squared away because we're looking at changes in the weather, aren't we? Yes, sir. They want to grab our guns again. We've got to back them down again like we did in the 1990s. Either that or just simply follow through on what needs to be done. That's part of the mission. Real quick there though, we're at Lister Bunny everybody. It's not all that warm down there in Texas right now, is it? No, we're in a bit of a cold spell. to the kidney space area. Okay, it may be using a 43 type pack, a small one. Could be using a butt pack for the 50 gear. Could be the British 50s type double pack system. Well, pack or roll up and put inside your poncho if you have to keep it outside. At least your woolly pulley and in your butt pack, roll up at least one set of long johns. You don't have to wear them. But if the temperature drops and you're thinking it wasn't going to get that cold you're not going to be super comfortable But at least you're going to be less uncomfortable And a woolly pulley helps to make for a very forgiving situation because the wool dries from the inside out and retains heat. You may not want to wear it all the time because when you're moving around you're building up calories, you've got to ventilate, open the coat, that kind of thing. But in the evening when that old sunshine disappears or even when that weather front moves in like it did today here in Michigan, you're going to want the extra layer of cold weather gear. A pair of long johns, a bottom and a top. combined with lots of spare socks and lots of spare glove liners carried all over your gear is going to keep you from ending up being a cold weather casualty. Okay? Another thing I'd recommend also is a pair of sweatpants and a hooded sweatshirt with a hood to it. Yes. And a stocking cap. And those by the way, you know what, go to the dollar store or go to the resale shop Pick up a couple pairs of those and depending upon the environment you're in, hey do some tie dye or just some paintbrush camouflage on those and then wash them. Let them fade. This is a trick that we've been teaching people for years. If you buy the grays, look outside. I'm going to challenge you. It's like right here in Michigan. I know you like camouflage. Boy, some of the camouflage look really great. But there are certain situations where the camouflages that are produced short of a very small number don't blend in as well as they should. Well guess what? If you do a spray paint or paint brush with tie dye and then let it wash a little bit, you get the same fuzzy fade that you're going to see right now looking across a field into a thicket. You've got grays, you've got russets, think about the colors you want to use. You've got grays, russets, light browns, savannah tan, and reed tan. And those are colors to think about. Well, tell you what, everybody stay right where they are. Mike, I'm going to have you give out the contact numbers one more time we come back. We've got Butter Knife, and of course we have Mike right here with us too. This is the Intel Report, bottom of the hour, back in about four minutes here on Liberty Tree Radio. Turns out there's some of the people listening right now and they're a pretty cool bunch of guys. You know what guys, they're still flying prop driven attack bombers. Really cool. Hey, they moved through the air. That's what's required. Hey, just can't kick off and free up some space. Thank you, politicals. We got more callers, too. I'll tell you what we're gonna do. We're gonna go right to our next caller. Who do we have? Who's next? George from Texas. Hey, George, jump in there. What do you got? Well, I just did another gun purchase today. I picked up a widow's dead husband's two pro-handled Colt .45s. Pearl you bugger Pearl handled Colt 45s. Oh, you remember a patent said about that those gotta be ivory No, there's their ammo for Colt 45 Colt 45 long Colts Yes, are they long? Oh, yes, there's long Colt ammo available I'll tell you what the first company to check with is right there in your backyard. I would just start looking around To see who's got it number one. There's a lot of single actions out there in 45 long Colt So start looking around in your local stores to see what's sitting on the shelf with some dust on it You probably make a good price. They would go a good price that way but J&G sales May have you're gonna have to do a computer search on that See what they have on the shelf right now in fact I'm looking right here real quick, and I don't see it jumping on at me But I am sure that they have some sitting there if you ask them But 45 long Colt is still available and from a number of different sources lawman ammunition might be another option The aluminum case lawman in 45 long Colt I don't need to know how much you paid, but was it reasonable? Would you say it was nothing this widow does have? They're all what do you call liberty armed? Yes? Yes? Yes? She does have a double barrel shotgun to only a little 12 gauge Yes, why that sounds like a delightful weapon to have sitting on the shelf mr. D'welved 12 gauge in a double barrel talks very uniquely to people when you hear the echo as you're staring down the barrel Know what I mean? There's that double echo that comes back that just tells you hey I don't think the guy's gonna miss if he pulls the trigger. You know what I mean? So that night there There's a nice area to spray yeah besides it's also remember a nice fouling piece to take out when you're after bunnies and or grouse It will also take the shorty, lightweight rounds if you've got somebody that isn't comfortable with standard recoil. That's right. Perfect. I've been hearing all this talk with the Con Con Constitutional Convention two states away. They did a sign to abolish the Constitution. Do we go back to the Articles of Confederation? Yeah, they don't want to try that, do they? See, that's the only problem. They don't want you to think. You're thinking, George. Problem is, number one, here's the thing, we've argued this for years, we've been watching this. Number one, there's been no window to prevent them, you know, to give them a deadline. Now, in the past, in fact there is. They can't just keep chugging along and saying, oh well we've got this state to do it, now we'll wait 10 years and this state, now that's not how it works. You'll notice the Founding Fathers understood the nature of the salamanders, you know, the socialist salamanders and incrementalism, which is why everything has a window of expiration for activity. And what they're doing right now, everybody better wake up to this. What they've done is they've had parasites that have gotten into power and we've kicked them out. But because people didn't remind them, they haven't gone in and rescinded the activity. And that's something that would terrify the hell out of them. We don't just need to be fighting where they're trying to go. We need to go into the states where they've passed this stuff and go in and kick it in the slats and have them rescind it by order. We have the people to do it and right now people are thinking the wrong way. I mean I understand defense We've been doing this for years, but one of the other things is go on the offensive Go after the states that have already passed and say no no no no no no no no We decided that those nutcases that thought they were gonna throw out the Constitution. We're getting rid of them Okay, we already kicked him out. They already voted him out and right now it's very obvious that the Constitution is being threatened. So if you start doing that, the enemy would be forced to spend money on what they think is taken ground. I want to plant that seed and everybody needs to go into chat rooms and places where they're talking about this and say, hey guys, we block them in one area. That's just one half of it. That's the shield routine. We need to take the sword and start chopping back and start hacking at their knees. Remember, the idea is to put them down, not to just sit there and stare at them across the battlefield. And again, you stare at them long enough, they'll just like an amoeba, they'll blob over you. We don't want that. We want to turn around and start cutting their hunting den up. So what we need to look at are the weakest states that they acquired and immediately rescind. That can be done by going to the Congress and tell them, hey, we got a threat here. Look what we just had with the Sam of Bama Ding Dong. Look what we just had with Bush. Look at the problems we're having right now. They're going to try and destroy the Constitution of Bill of Rights. Do you want to be remembered for that? Everybody needs to get on that. If they're going to do that, don't just do the one part of blocking. We've done that for years. We've stopped them over and over again, and we're going to continue. But we need to bite back. This is the same thing like with the NRA, with the Gun Control Act. Go after the gun control act of 1968. Don't keep fighting these little piddly battles. Go to rescind and somebody goes, well they won't get that passed. Who cares? They do this to us all the time. Do it to them in reverse. Throw the legislation out there. Keep them so busy. If you're going to fight in politics, this is how you fight in politics. Not just sit there and paddle them out on it. That's our problem. No such thing as taking a break in a battle, guys. That's right. You take a break, you end up with a smack to the head, usually with a meat cleaver slash battle axe, and you're down for the count. That's what happens. Time out! Time out! Time out! Anyway, George, anything else? We're gonna let you go. Yes, another thing I would like to point your listeners out, please ask Ron Paul to run for the governor of Texas. I really think he has a great chance to win down here. He has the people in place and if there is any voter fraud, he has plenty of boots on the ground. It is not nationwide, it is more concentrated. And I really think if he gets the victory, the ripple effect that will go nationally through the state and through Washington would be tremendous. If he ran for president, he'd be stuck with the ding-dong Congress. But, you know, if he ran for governor of Texas and won... he might have more of a national impact that way. At the very least again the doorstep the way they're trying to come in with the international PS it would be a way to block it. Now of course we still got two years to survive because remember that's what they keep saying. That's a long uphill battle to get to the you know to the two-year out mark guys that's 24 months and we'll probably be in a shooting war before that. But if we can get to that point with the elections in any form Ron Paul as governor would be a good choice. George I gotta let you go we have a couple other callers stacked up. Thank you, Mark. Have a good weekend. Appreciate that. I think we have another caller. And who do we have next as a caller? Jump in there, please. Go ahead, caller. Uh-oh. We might have Mike sitting on standby there again. I counted a couple of beeps, but if nobody's speaking, let's keep going. OK. You can't hear me? There he is. Now we can hear Mike. What do you got, Mark? A CZ-52. Did they make any of those that were double action? Well, that's a good question. I've never seen one, but that doesn't mean that they weren't why would I had one briefly before and I was thinking it was double action, but now I'm beginning to wonder I don't think you I don't I think they're all single action I'm pretty sure that they're single but I'd have to double I'd have to double check that myself We'll have to we've got somebody may be holding a CC right now on their shoulder ulcer that could just go hey Yeah, by the way guys remember this But otherwise, CZ52 megs, here's another company. Good point you brought this out. They might have them. Might. That's might. Okay, it's CDNN Sports Incorporated. Here's an easy number. 1-800-588-9500. 1-800-588-9500. 1-800-588-9500. 1-800-588-9500. Okay. Oke a doke. Yeah, I'm looking for a fee. Okay, very good. I'm going to let you go then, all set, Mike. And, okay, go ahead. Butter knife, what else we got real quick? Okay, before we move off that site, they have a lot of miscellaneous items. One that caught my eye is they have a three-pack of AR-15 Bandoliers. These are originally intended for stripper clips, but they have the pull string in them. So if you yank this string out, they become deeper and will take the mags. These guys will hold 8 AR-15 mags and have a shoulder strap and all that. That strikes me as a very worthwhile container. This is a toss somebody 8 megs in one bundle type device and three of those for $5 is not bad. Let me shift gears a little bit. I was down at Whole Foods recently. I haven't been in there for a long time. They are a little outside my price range but I was kind of dragged along for the trip. I saw a couple of things that were particularly interesting. One is that we mentioned earlier when we were talking about oils that the market price for olive oil generally runs in the $7 to $9 per liter range. Everything at Whole Foods is safe pretty much. They have some of the bad oils, but almost everything there is safe. They avoid the corn syrup and all this kind of good stuff. So I do recommend people go ahead and take a look if they can tolerate the price. But one of the items they had is they had 3 liter tins of olive oil, cold pressed, organic, all that good stuff at about $23, which is right smack dab in our price range. and very competitive. Most of the things there are double the price anywhere else because they're better quality, smaller producers and so on. That however is a vendor for that style. That's right in market price. So don't be turned off by the very carefully manicured and very pretty store. They actually do have some things that are competitive and that's a worthwhile thing. That's worth the trip just there. Another item they had for $6 a pound, and you might say, what is a basket of very strange looking tomatoes? They have heritage seed tomatoes there. I think the intention is not that you eat them, but rather one tomato of this sort and one tomato of that sort and dry the seeds. So in a circuit of this and roundabout method, they are offering some heritage seeds in that fashion. Look at what the tomato looks like. Some of them are yellow. Some of them look like pumpkins. All sorts of interesting things. But you can grab a tomato of the sort that you like at $6 a pound. And go ahead and carve them up and dry the seeds and take them home. And you're all set. Well, take them home and then dry the seeds. Perfect. Now, again, one of the things here, too, is they have these on a regular basis. Is readily available? They seem to be a routine item there. Excellent. Well, of course, now the only thing is that's a chain system, so they probably have a consistent price across the system too, I would think. I would expect so, but in any event, you're buying one tomato or two tomatoes or whatnot, your intention is to get a whole handful of seeds, and therefore that seems to be a reasonable option from my point of view. Yep, exactly. I'll tell you what, real quick, Ed wants to jump in real quick with something. All right, well for the guys in the chat room who've been following the work on the website and I gotta say say thank you to everybody who's been doing the proofreading and everything for me We've got a new page added to the site tonight. We did our test files on it We have our own online archives. They're only at 8 KBPS We've only got the first two shows from December up so far. I'm hoping by Monday we should have everything caught up so we'll have all of December's programs including Cordy's, Oz's and whatever else we've got going on up on the site through our site as an archive for download for low-end users who are using dial-up and whatnot the 8Kbps will load. The audio is not the best quality but it works. And you can hear. What's really important is you'll get the information plus you can make copies off that with whatever system you know with machine you have. and you can spread it around to share with friends. So this is another option. It's something that's been presently available. This program tonight will be on there, right Ed? Yeah, come Monday morning. Excellent. Very good. I'll tell you what, now Mike, way down there in Arizona, you went down to have you call G&G sales today. What did you find out from them real quick? Okay, real quick. I'll, their website, JGSales.com, JGSales.com. telephone 928-445-90650 928-445-90650 762 by 39, $280 for $1,000 5.45 by 39, $240 per $1,000 762 NATO $270 for 450 rounds, 5.56 NATO, $400 for 1,000 rounds, no 303 British, 9mm, $210 per 1,000, 45 ACP, $370 per 1,000, 50 BMG, $250 per 100 and they have no AKs or no AR rifles. Also one other thing, Wideners in Kennesaw, Georgia, they had the M855 556 NATO ammunition and it's 200 ground battle packs and they had a thousand of them. I don't recall exactly what the price was but it was about $89, $85 depending on how many you bought. They give you a break if you bought a little bit more. So keep in mind again here that you're looking at higher prices a thousand battle packs Well, that ain't gonna last too long So as soon as people know where they are they'll start feeding, you know eating them up and feed them down line down the line Through the system. So if you're looking for that you're looking for something this close by that's a solution Butterknife we still have some other things we need to take care of there, too. What else did you find? Okay, let me slip in a quick plug. Anybody in the eastern Missouri or western Illinois area, there is a smaller but often very interesting gun show at Pacific Missouri. The website is Midwest Arms and Armor. That's Midwest Arms and Armor. I'll just point you at the website and you can pick up the flyer there if you're interested. Midwest arms armor dot com. That's in Pacific, Missouri tomorrow starting at 10am. It runs Saturday and Sunday only. Now I'd like to talk a little bit about a couple of things I discovered recently regarding storage of material because acquiring the material is not everything. Storing it coherently is another thing. There have recently been available in the grocery store some very, very large Ziploc bags. These are in the several gallon range. And not only are these useful because of the Ziploc mechanism, but they're also very thick plastic. Now, they have been disappearing from my area. So I think that they probably have not sold very well and are being discontinued. These things go for $6 for a package and there are either $3, $4 or $5 in a package depending on the size. The largest ones will copiously contain everything inside a 20mm ammo can. So that would serve as the interior liner for instance to provide a multiple layer protection of the contents of a can. So if anybody is interested in this sort of thing, I would suggest that they get down to their local grocery store and see if these are still in stock. And if so, grab some now because they seem to be disappearing. These are Ziploc brand. They are blue tinted plastic. They're nice, thick plastic. And I like them a bunch. If I could get a pile of them, I would. I still have a few lying about, but they seem to be vanishing from the shelves. I have also seen them available online at less than attractive prices. So if anybody has an interest in that sort of thing, take a look in your grocery store and see if they've still got inventory in those products. The two major chains around here do not carry them anymore. They both did. They no longer do. Another incident I thought I would relate, even if I'm telling myself a little bit. A while back I stacked a few cardboard boxes in a corner on a concrete floor. This being a nice dry piece of concrete floor and figure-gwell, that's okay. After a while the stack got a little taller and a little taller. From day to day I would I looked at the stack and it seemed to me that it was tipping a little bit. I couldn't quite figure out why and it seemed to tip more and more and more. Eventually I decided to dash across the room and erupt just in time to prevent the whole thing from coming down in a crashing heap. When I investigated I discovered that this little piece of floor was not as dry as I thought it was and the bottom box had gotten a little bit on the squishy side and the whole thing had decided to come over. I've got to do a lot of lift and stack and sort and shuffle. The happy part is that nothing got damaged or destroyed. But the surprise was that a piece of floor that I thought had always been dry, in fact, had a little trickle and run of water. Now, maybe that had been there all that time, and it just evaporates, and we never noticed it. Maybe that was a new event. But the moral of the story is don't trust a piece of floor that you think is good. Assume that any piece of floor may have leaks or dribbles or whatnot. The solution I came up with is to pop on down to the home center and it turns out you can buy sheets of foam. This is fairly hard styrofoam type foam, about 18 inches wide and 4 feet long. And those go admirably under a stack of anything and will keep it up off the floor a whole inch or so, which is more than enough. I would suggest that if anybody bases storage on cardboard, you might want to put those things down on the floor first as the bottom layer. On a preemptive basis, don't wait for a butternight surprise of that sort. This one kind of caught me by surprise, and therefore I think that it might catch other people by surprise. The last thing you want to do is put a lot of time and effort into saving up stuff and stacking it and then go back and find that the bottom layer is turned all black and fuzzy and not so attractive. So whether you use old pallets or whether you have some sort of assembly like that or a sheet of Styrofoam or what have you, I would very much recommend that people think about this. It's not something that would necessarily occur to everyone. It did not occur to me. Go ahead and put something in as the bottom layer on your pile of whatever it is before you have a surprise-like idea. We don't run like the Department of Defense or I should say the War Department World War II. My father was in the Pacific. He said the most disgusting smell he ever encountered, short of dead troops, which they ran into a lot of during the island hopping, was a supply system where they stacked the food ten pallet flats deep and the bottom was constantly being crushed because being closer to the environment the food in the cans rotted the cans literally rotted away rusted in the hundred-degree you know high-pile moisture temperatures a lovely all yet all they did was kept stacking more on top never getting to the bottom cases one of the things he said he noticed was it was canned peaches there were cases upon cases of rotten molding and maggoty peaches at the bottom and the cans that were the next tier up, that were the next layer of cans up were beginning to rot and then the others up above were in better shape and they just kept stacking them on top of the other and they were collapsing into each other. Now that's the supply system we need to avoid, obviously. The food never quite got to the troops who it needed to be. Duh. And that's one of the things that needs to be looked at. Again, tactical dispersion at the lowest possible area, but always using standoffs and looking at the environment. Now that's another reason I always talk about triple packing. Because remember even if the outside package is compromised perforated shot could be gouged with a stick hit with a nail who knows what? At least the inner packaging preserves it for a longer period of time so that if you discover the damage you'll be able to utilize the compromised package first and still have that's what saved me in this case too. Yep tiers of packaging is critical. Before we go Mike real quick any gun shows down that way? Well, there's one coming up by Prescott Valley in January, firingpin.com. And also in January, it's the Arizona Military Vehicle Collector's annual meeting. And that'll be at 52nd Street and McDowell in the southeast corner. And it's coming up in January. I'll find out what's there. website is the date and everything. I'm pretty sure the site is militarytrucks.com, but I'm not exactly sure on that. But Monday I'll know. Excellent. So again, we do have the opportunity there to check out the mechanized equipment in the process. Now, one more thing, guys. We have the new video posted on YouTube for libertytreeradio.4mg.com. Go to libertytreeradio.4mg.com. Check out the new militia video there. And again, when you do, if you could, if you can take the time to rate it, that only takes a second. Just dot up there where the stars are. Give it a five star rating if you would. And also, comment on the video too. More comments to better people. But you can help to bring up and elevate the rating of the video and the overall site, which flags it for more people to watch. So you're helping us out there. Real quick, one other thing from my direction. is J&G sales mentioned here by Mike has M1 Garand bandoliers and the more you buy the cheaper they are so of course I flipped away from that I have it right here in front of me I've been trying to make sure that we access these someplace Mike J&G's number again is 928. 9-2-8, 4-4-5, Niner 6-5-0, Niner 2-8, 4-4-5, Niner 6-5-0. And again, military surplus bandoliers are cloth. Six pocket bandoliers from the M1 Garand, they take eight round deecliffs per pocket. Remember guys, you're repackaging that loose ammo you got from one supplier or another, you want to battle pack it to the max. So you have it in the bandoliers, it's in the D-clips or in the two five round stripper clips. If you're going to use the stripper clips, you got a remark in black ink. Make up a template, make sure you can make it, you set up so it's easily legible. Same with your cans. Butter knife, Mike, we're at the top of the hour. I'll tell you what, let's do this together because Courtney's coming up. God bless the Republic. Yes, the very world of the Arctic. We shall prevail. The Empire is on the run. We are on the part of the park, both day and night night. Thank you gentlemen. Great evening. And remember, this is on the archive now too, so you can hear it a number of different ways.
