Summary
Mark Koernke discussed the massive surge in firearm and ammunition sales following Barack Obama's election, noting that weapons manufacturers were backlogged 3-12 months due to unprecedented demand. He emphasized the critical importance of acquiring spare parts, magazines, and ammunition while still available, warned against selling inherited firearms, and provided detailed tactical guidance on magazine management, equipment configuration, and team coordination during combat scenarios. The show featured discussion of resource-sharing among newly organized militia formations in Michigan and analysis of media attempts to downplay the scale of gun purchases.

A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, We've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. The tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost. You're no more than a slave. Invist the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state You read about the current news in a regulated press and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold you trade your wealth for paper. So your life can be controlled You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm. And keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each God given right we only watch in tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms He fought to keep what would be your answer if he called out from the grave is this still the land of the free and home Well, good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. This is the afternoon intelligence report. I'm Mark Kornke. And I'm Donald Betcher. Hopefully going to be adding a sixth by this weekend, I understand. So we're going to see what happens there. Well Don, it is a special day. What is the date today? It's the middle of the week, 26th November, and that pegs it as a Wednesday, you guys. So if you listen close, Chamber Full. The slide is to Battery. The magazine well is full and the perimeter is secure because it's Weapons Wednesday, not that. You should pay any less attention to the perimeter any other time of the week, but it is Weapons Wednesday. That's right, WW people. And again, the mission here is to make sure we get the job done. There's a lot of stuff happening around the country. First of all, congratulations. You voted with your wallets. The third wave of equipment that has gone out. And I mean, there's been like pulses. Gentlemen, ladies, virtually everything has been sold. I mean, we're to the point now, we're talking to two companies today and several others last night. We're looking at somewhere between three and 12 months before they can fill the order requests. Now there are two ways to look at this guys. Number one is we did a fantastic job and stuff that would have been the warehouse where the feds could have walked up and put a padlock on it. That's all done, that's gone. The other consideration, and this is something that one person did kind of mention and appropriately it's like, man, this tells us something about production, doesn't it? And the lack thereof Think about that people. This is the industrial giant known as the United States and the weapons we're talking about are not very sophisticated to produce. Okay, and yet the only companies that can do it are a handful of American companies that are all, hell, they'd fit into a warehouse the size of one GM plant if you put them together. Seriously, if you ever been to any of the, you know, example, have you been to Barrett? Have you ever been to Barrett? See how big the company actually is. How many of you out there have gone to like for instance where they make the ferret 50 you ever check to see how big that company is Have you gone to arm light and look to see what their factory is in general. I mean their other their sub factories, okay, well, but let's say What about Bushmaster? What about Springfield Army ever been Springfield Armory to see what the Springfield Armory incorporated? You know the company looks like Now guys we're at maximum production right now, and if they get if they're not careful Here's one thing that I know they're thinking about and they're already there. There's a temptation here With the need for production comes increase in output obviously But what happens is these what you hold in your hand down right there granted It's supposed to have some slop in it it better rattle a little bit because it's supposed to be a mud keeper Now they're working take that 45 put it in the mud let it freeze pull it out pull the trigger if you works, but still That is a precision instrument in your hand, isn't it? Oh, it does what I want it to. Question about it. Something as simple as a 1911 where so far backlogged not only with American production but even overseas, everything foreign has been eaten up. All the .45s and whatever categories, short of some of the like, say, two or three thousand dollar weapons, and even those are going guys, are being virtually consumed like water hitting sugar. Okay? Now my point is, if we had any kind of semblance of production ability or capability at all, you wouldn't have to be turning to the foreign inventory. We'd be seeing the factories put a second shift on, maintain their standards, and you would see more weapons within a very short period of time. But that isn't the case. Now think about that. In fact, it's going to take 3, 6, 8, 10, 12 months. That might as well be on the dark side of the moon with what's coming. Now this is where I warn you again. Did you pick up your spare parts for your firearms? How many of you? You should do it now. And even then you're going to have to hunt. Let me put it this way. Before you could measure spare parts kits in anywhere from 10 to 100 per site, per location. Do you know how you measure it now? In ones and twos or zeros. Yeah. So for all of you that listened, congratulations. For some of you who are new, I'm sorry, it's just that it's late in the game. Do not get frustrated, get wise to the situation and start shopping and hunting and scanning all of these sites for everything that you need and go right down your shopping list. You can't get it all. There's no one shop stopping anymore. Just not how it works, okay? The reason I bring this up is, let me give you an example. One of the guys we've been talking to had 180 of these AR-15 spring and pin kits with the trigger, the hammer and everything else. Okay, including the firing pin extractor, ejector, you know, yada, yada, yada. Whole thing, okay. 180 of them. He was frustrated because what happened is he placed an order and he, because he placed the order and he received it, he couldn't take it back. And he's thinking, man, I'm gonna get stuck with 180 of these things, right? This was before the election. Do you know, he probably wishes now he had four times that because it took him less than a day to go through all 180 of those kits. And that's just one little item. That's just one fraction of everything that is available out there people. Think about it. You know firing pins, extractors and ejectors. You know how much space a firing pin, extractor and ejector would take up? Pick up your BIC pin and look at it and figure there's the volume. And yet something that simple and for the amount of metal about that small in material, that little amount of material can mean the difference between a functioning firearm and a very sophisticated aluminum billy club. Wow! Which leads us to the other issue of that's why you need the bayonet lug, right Don? Yeah, you hopefully got something sharp pulling you on the other arm. Which I will say, here's the thing guys, start going down the shopping list. If you have a rifle that has a bayonet lug, get a bayonet for it. And I am absolutely serious about this. If you have a rifle that has a bayonet lug, K98 Mausers, come on, you can buy bayonets for $8 apiece, $7 apiece. Hell, you can't find magazines for half your weapons now, but at least you can get a bayonet for the rifles you do. You do not have to have cutting edge state of the art. When it comes to a bayonet, sharp pointing on the end is fine. A used M7, a used M16 bayonet of whatever model, I don't care. K98 Mauser, it doesn't have to look pretty. Just make sure it locks and unlocks, okay? clean it up yourself, buff it up however you need to, flatten it back out with some flat black paint to dull reflection and she's ready to go. It's a working blade. That's how you gotta look at it, but a band-aid is critical. Now the reason I'm bringing this up too is there are a number of parts, pieces, and assemblies still out there. And what you're gonna have to do is, for instance, let's see, what was it? Aim Surplus has a mix of items, but you're gonna have to check, first of all, to see what they list. and then you're going to have to ask them by calling to see if they even have it. Okay? But magazines, another company which we've repeated over and over again, main military has some mags. I don't know what they have left, but one of our people called today and they do have mags, still has some. I don't know what he's got. You're going to have to ask for specifics, but there are little pockets of material here and there. Now, one of the interesting things that happened last night, and I'm going to tell you what I'm going to do. Don, we're going to bring Ed up on here for a minute. I know he's doing something else, but I want him to give a PBN report on what we were doing at about 2 o'clock this morning. Now, at two o'clock this morning he was upgrading the page and you were going through articles and tell everybody where the article was, how they can find the title for it. Thank you. If you wait a second I can pull that up right now because I don't have that information on my hand. There we go. He's going to actually, this is what's interesting. We always do try to give you, you know, cutting edge news as it's happening from other sources too because remember it gets up there and then it disappears. Yes, you said for a long time Mark that when you see it in the morning and Watch how it changes by noon and it might be a completely different story by the 11 o'clock noon. You better record it. Well, what if it's the printed material and exactly what I said about the computer is exactly what's happening now. More so than ever before. It's the Orwell Hole. One minute it's there and the next second they tell everybody delete it or else. Now what's fascinating about this is that the storyline it has to do with the idea that lo and behold the feds were commenting about the number of requests for you know weapons approvals which by the way I don't need some lordling from England to tell me anything about what we need to be approved for but that's unfortunately where we are with the Imperial right now here in the United States. We got a bottom feeder over in Virginia in West Virginia. That's where the facilities are by the way. that is lording over you and doling out crumbs, people. Doling out crumbs to the peasants. That's their mindset. Well, guys, they're getting frustrated. Why? Because you were not supposed to be awake. Their words. Now... Oh, wait. The story is up, but it's an edited version. This is not the same one that was up on the 25th. Now, that's expected too. So again, now here's the thing, the basic gist of the story. Ed, first of all, last night when we got the original, and this is what's cute, go ahead and explain to everybody what happened here. Well, when we got the original, I was looking for stories because if you go to the LTR website, now we've got a news link. And I was just pulling up stories on, you know, the gun sales. Everybody sitting there saying, oh, it's not that way all across the country. Ed can't be. So we've been going through and you can google search this yourself and find out all the little news stories that have been coming up. Anyway, what I would, what the story I had up here before was Obama's Victory Spurs Gun Sales from I know, I know, I'm not on the mic. My monitor's way over there, it's not in front of me like it. Anyway, it's from a South Dakota news journal. And the gist of the story was the FBI was complaining to the reporter about how much work they're going to have to do and how much easier it would have been for them to do the job that they've been asked to do if McCain had gotten into office, because people wouldn't be buying all the firearms that they are. And wouldn't be ready for what's going to happen. think about what what what what what are they talking I'm a little confused now do you remember what I said before about the whole idea that we're just like what happened with Waco Waco was planned and put together with the Bush administration the Bush administration left the Clinton East us came in and the action proceeded although they did they didn't they have left the numbers up that the FBI gave for the Weapon transfer papers is 49%. 49% increase over what it's been. So that's again about 50, well again, that's, well let's see, however many millions. And that's just in South Dakota. Oh, well that's... That explains a good portion of that. Hey, in South Dakota you got a lot of Liberty Arms people, I hate to tell you this, don't hate to tell you, I love to tell you that in South Dakota, and this is one of the things, thank you for qualifying that Ed. One of the things, go to YouTube, go to Google, go wherever you want to, use whatever search engine you want to and look for these stories. You will not find any national acknowledged numbers. Why? Guys, this is the age of the computer. This is it's like court cases. You know this happened with court cases We've dealt with go ahead in well They had when our friends that are FFL dealers can go to the gun show and sell out of all of their weapons Including the thousand dollar high ticket items because well, it's the only thing that's left and people are buying it I'd say gun sales have gone gone up probably or let's see, since typically they only sell one or two and they're selling everything, can you say a thousand percent? Exactly. And they're trying to deny that or they're trying to deflect it so there's not a working knowledge of what's truly in the minds of the majority of the people out there. And what's fascinating about it is that, well actually with a couple of our friends, they went to the shows, they came back, they're very happy, they left actually Saturday night from the gun show down. You know why they left Saturday? There was nothing left to buy. There was nothing left to sell. They had nothing left. They came in with boxes, they came in with the cases for the ammo they were selling, and all they left with were the empty totes. and empty gun cases. That is in fact we're talking just like in some cases three thousand dollar M1As and three thousand dollar HKs all gone like they were water hitting the skillet like we've described. Now, what's fascinating about this, and of course they didn't gouge anybody. These are weapons that have been pricey for quite some time. I do hate to say that because, again, guys, we were building M1As for about $225 to $275 apiece, and we tried to get everybody to buy them. It's when those Israeli TRW kits came in. We gave them the rifles, they sold them back to us. Yeah, you know that kind of routine, but they were TRW kits the receivers were made from three different companies We had we were it was perfect timing We had about six different armorers all just coming out of service retired after 20 years Who were specialized in match weapons and putting together things like that? And so we put 600 M1As together for militia, you know, two militia units here plus a lot of independent individuals. But there are formations here in Michigan that are all outfitted with M1As, with M14s. Okay, but they're M1As, semi-autos, not full autos, just semis. We don't want full auto in an M14. Okay, doesn't work that way. But doesn't work well that way. We don't want to waste ammunition. It's a precision tack driver. It's an MBR main battle rifle. Well, those are now $3,000 apiece. Lesser models, obviously running a few dollars less. But still, even the cheapest versions of the M1A are driven up around $1,000 right now. Anyway, point is, those are all gone. All this other stuff is gone. But these characters, one of the jists of this, of several of these articles have been that, well, this ruined their plans, Don. Everybody was supposed to be asleep because of the BS Supreme Court ruling, and you were all supposed to go, until the door got kicked in, and you go, huh? What? Oh, we're going to a FEMA camp. Oh, okay, I'll go with you. Please, take my neighbor. He's got guns too. But that's not working that way now in fact you happen like that no in fact a you know what it's not just going to be expensive It's going to be downright embarrassing because the general population is getting into what's called grim mode And I have this is happening more and more each day, and they're trying desperately to deflect the numbers are not accurate anywhere Let me give you an example we covered this on the air and this is weapons wise it but these are this important because you need this ammunition to go out and and Jog other people to shake them, okay? On the one hand, they tried to claim, for instance, Don, that in places like the Carolinas, they only had a 15% increase in weapon sales. But then they had to adjust that to 25%. But then they had to just not even give the numbers after a while. Why? Because they knew the lies weren't working. Now, let me give an example. Classic arms we covered. In three months, they went through 260 AKs. Now, that doesn't count all the other. That's all variations on just AKs. Now they showed mags and they showed ammo. We read this on the air. In 10 days, they sold three times that amount. So how can you say you only have a 15% increase in a specific window when you're looking at a 300% increase in a 10-day period? Just in one shot. in one shop. Okay? So that's the reality. That's why I'm saying you're going to have to start hunting and looking around. Now, another thing to consider is this, and again, what did I say before about grandpa's rifles? If you've got grandpas or dad's rifles, you do not sell them. Guns are for... So grandpa's weapons will work just fine because grandpa already paid for them. They're already off the books They are Liberty arms and nobody knows where they are do not be a doofus and take them into the gun shop an interesting story data just from this one about people taking advantage of the sales tax holiday with the Thanksgiving weekend and all they plan to buy are I'll post that one up in the chatroom too. I'll also put that up on the website. And this is why copying and hard copying some things is a really good idea, especially when it becomes obvious that they're altering as they go to try and, again, soften the numbers. And I should have done that. Typically I would have, but I was thinking, you know, they just put this up. They're not going to pull it down anytime soon. And boy, was I wrong. Oops. Yep. So one of the things here too quick is, you know, Don, when you slid that, you know, there's that one motion you make where the well is full. Right? And you have more than one mag- In fact, let's put it this way. You have more than two magazines, don't you? Oh, yeah. Under the logic that, uh... Well, why would you have more than two magazines? Well, you know, I've had that experience to where you hit somebody once and they blink, and you have to hit them again, you know. And I'm pretty certain that you'd have to do sometimes the same thing. depending on what you're hitting them with. And many times it's going to be more than one person. So, you know, the other thing is it's hard to count and keep track when you're trying in particular, when you're trying to count both sides. I've got four in the year. He's got five, six, seven. And you know, you're ducking too. They tend to, uh, so then, you know, even with five, 10 magazines, there are many people out there that can attest that they go a lot faster. That's right. In fact, that's what we call a time. There's a time dilation that takes place. You think that stretching out forever? In reality, the compression is a matter of only seconds if minutes. And the reason I say that is because gentlemen, in a competition shoot, I would dump five rounds in four seconds into a target at 25 yards, and all of those rounds would be in a quarter-size formation, a quarter-size group. Now, you figure that out. You do the math on that and by the way, I'm not I I rated the national matches in the National Registry back in the 80s I think I was done. I was like oh 478 so I'm not the top shooter in the country But in the standings with with the go-com matches and the national matches I didn't do too badly But there were people who sure as hell were faster and were awfully money Oh, they had more money to spend on their weapon. I was just using a government model national match no modifications. There are people who have a lot more money, take their trade a lot more seriously as far as what they will spend on it. They were tightening the groups up and doing an even finer job at moving a hair faster. That makes me think of a guy down there in Texas, Mr. Tubb, he's shot to the championships more times than you got fingers and thumbs for one person. When he goes and shoots like pistol, you know he can beat him with a pistol and he can beat him with the rifle but some of them guys those in particular he says those guys that shoot a hundred thousand rounds a year in the shotgun category he says those guys are hard to beat but you know Mr. Tubb he specializes in the rifle and handgun and those guys shooting those shotguns find it hard to beat him in the rifle category but again that's example of the very top notch 100,000 cartridges pass through a number of shotgun barrels in a single year. It's with, you know, full size moving across your computer screen over and over. Yeah. Well, the thing is that these magazines remember empty out. And if you only have two, and the other thing you have on hand is a handful of chiclets, that doesn't mean that may not be in that situation down the road. There is no excuse right now for your 1911, for your Walther P-38. or your Browning high power or your high-tech semi-automatic pistol and whatever model you bought guys for it not to have four magazines plus one in the tube. That's minimum. And the reason I bring it up is because like you said Don, as quickly as you're firing people, once the contact is made. Now first of all, that's where the word is another word we mentioned about while being on the range or any kind of contact, discipline is critical. I would say the same thing because I don't care. Count the magazine pouches in your assault vest if that's what you're wearing. Count the extra... now this is why I am a firm believer in bandoliers, extra mag pouches, if you're willing to carry it, carry that thousand rounds in a can on the back, whatever you want to do. We don't have any table of authorized equipment in the militia. And unlike the government, which is conditioning everybody to limit, limit, limit, limit, limit, From the militia end, and for all of you listening, we have no restrictions whatsoever with regard to what we carry. So, again, if you want to carry 20 mags for your 1911, I say go for it and do it. But, make sure that you come up with a system that you will remember. I don't want to hear about you. He died fishing for a magazine because he was using the little anybody mags and he had these really big pouches and his hand couldn't reach down to the bottom and he could almost touch that magazine in the bottom but he couldn't like out. We talked about that the other day and we're coming right up to the bottom of the hour but you know if the wife's got a sewing machine and you go out and get some ballistic nylon you can sew up some real nice pouches for all kinds of handgun magazines that they just butt together and then you take that and you sew it inside your vest the other side of the have sewn your pocket for your handgun in so it bounces out real nice. Yep, and it's efficient to carry. The big thing here, we are going to break here in a second, it's the bottom of the hour, and because of that, when we come back, we're going to touch on several points here with regard to aerodynamics with your weapons, okay? Because a lot of you now have picked up the arms, but you may not have a carrying system. A lot of new listeners have done this. We'll be back in three. Collectors, outdoor enthusiasts, survivalists. Oh Fp.com but it's interesting because it's got that imagery actually it's quite similar to the logo and everything. Anyway Fp.com Don Eric Sharp Free Press Outdoors Columnist that's what it says down below by Eric Sharp Free Press Outdoors columnist, November 26, 2008. I'm reading right off the line here. Extremists on both sides have clouded the gun debate since Obama's election. Now, listen to this. The extreme gun nuts who think the Bill of Rights is limited to the Second Amendment, now in other words, like, all there is is the Second Amendment. Really? You know what? You're going to find that any person who can quote the Second Amendment typically can also tell you about how about the 8th? or the 9th Amendment. And what about the 10th Amendment, guys? Oh, that's right. And let's not forget one that the other side really wants to forget about and wants to try and erase. What about the 3rd Amendment, which is why we have the 2nd Amendment? Because no quartering of troops in our houses? No, we'll shoot them before they get there. How's that song? You know what I mean? Anyway, there's a first line. It says, the extreme gun nuts. who think the Bill of Rights is limited to the Second Amendment are panicked that a Barack Obama administration is going to take their firearms rights away. Yes they will. And the ignorant idealists who see guns as the root of all evil are hoping he will. This is the reasonable thing guys. Now let me point this out. I have read a thousand times on the air since we have captured this years ago handgun control incorporated's agenda. And one of the things that they said is You know, the train of thought, what they got to push is, you're just not being reasonable. You're being unreasonable. Now, with that track record, the self-ingratiating BS about how he supposedly thinks the ignorant idealists are, you know, crazy. I'll go to the next paragraph. That's not going to happen, of course, taking the guns. Although Obama might throw an SOP to the idealist, a SOP to the idealist, by pushing for some changes that will have no effect on. 99% see how this works here, guys? Throwing a SOP to the idealist? No, no. And it's going to affect everybody. Not 99% aren't going to be affected. The idea behind this is they're going to tax. Where do we get this from? Taxation is the power to destroy. Remember that taxation is a power to destroy and over here in good old handgun control incorporated agenda one of the things that Obama has already and most all these parasites have is they already boasted this and they think that we forget a large tax a thousand percent tax on ammunition a tax on every firearm you own a limiting tax on every firearm you think you want to purchase Do you think that we are stupid? You know what here's the thing I don't care what BS these controlled press writers come up with it is not going to work There is going to be no placating any of us and there isn't going to be any divide and conquer Because everybody understands this is the end game plan They are not going to stop with one and they're not going to make us believe that they aren't going to try it Okay, does everybody out there listening understand that think this through people but watch for articles like this because The character does this whole thing like, let me give you an example, the phrase assault weapon rifle often shows up in this newspaper and often in the context of people demanding that their sale be outlawed. Those stories obviously were edited by people who don't know that the guns in question almost never are real assault rifles. Gee, like we haven't said that a million times, duh. Well we know this too and what happens is this all the time. When we catch them in a lie or when we catch them in their distortions as far as how they want to twist a word, what they'll do is they'll immediately back off but they'll do damage control like, oh look we discovered that those other guys that were saying this were wrong. Wait a minute, you're the guys who were saying it. No, no Don, it was those other guys. Those other guys, not us, we're going to tell you to be reasonable. That's right Mowgli, you know the snake remember that snake in jungle book Mowgli just relax and go to sleep and let us be reasonable Now the snake wants Mowgli to wake up well actually the snake doesn't want Mowgli to wake up at all because if Mowgli goes to sleep Then the snake gets to squeeze you to death. Oh, that's how that works Don Plop well somebody Yeah, somebody better stay. In fact, here's the thing. We ain't going to sleep. Listen, this is BS. The bottom line is that go ahead kids, try it. Just go for it. We're at the point where everybody's getting tired of this shuck and jive and this Scatter Dodge game. And you know, I don't know how many times I have heard in the last 15 days, not from our people, Our people have a different attitude. We already know it's coming. Today this happened when I just went over to the post office. One person flat out said, yeah, I know what you're talking about. You know what my attitude on this is? Let's just start it and get it over with and be done. They just let... It's fascinating because this person is probably about 62. His son was with him who is about, I'd say what, he was 10 years younger than me, so what, 41. And I've known them most of their lives and the son goes, yeah, I bought dad his AR. Well, you know, it's like, well, thank you. I bought dad his AR. I got it. Okay, good. And it's like, and what's interesting is father is disgusted. Son is competent and familiar with the background. Dad is just disgusted and just ready to pull the trigger. That's the attitude I am seeing more and more. The sons, the daughters, everybody's up to speed. But grandpa doesn't want to talk anymore because he's old enough to know better He's just like nah I'm finished this is the only thing left is to shoot him and That is what they really really really are not grasping yet But we're not going to listen to either BS they can write all these articles like this till they're you know until the cows come home And they probably won't because the socialists will be stealing them guys remember the socialists will figure that hey look cows steak No, that's a dairy cow. It makes more steak. Don't do that. Don't Well, they won't be any more cows to milk because the socialists are gonna eat them all Okay, that's what's happening and they think they're gonna eat. Yeah But why can't I have eggs tomorrow morning you ate the chicken? Yeah, we get no more chicken eggs from chickens because you ate the chickens commissar Well, I will have to execute you because you're not providing eggs for us No, what's it? I think I'll pitchfork your arse right there at the kitchen table instead. By the way, I don't like your troops in my house Anyway, just a case in point. This is an example of, again, where they're trying to do the... and it's bizarre because it's a spaghetti ball. It's where they're trying to twist and twist and twist and twist and trying to be warm and fuzzy in as many ways as they can and it's not doing them any good. Okay? It's that simple. It's simply not doing them any good. Nobody gives a squat to get madrift. Anyway, uh-oh. in the week we were talking about and I think even last weapons Wednesday we were talking about optics. I know it's not really a segue mark, I'm just going to jump right in there. Sitting here I look out the window and I'm a day where it's getting kind of hard to see things with your eyes and it's still because even there's snow on the ground and it's still just a little too light to light up a piece of night vision. You know there's that little kind of confusing twilight time there. Unless you've got something that really has an adjustable You don't really want to light up your night vision and use it until it's dark. Some of the better, there's monoculars that are good quality glass. They'll gather more light in this low light level than your eye will because sometimes you got 40 and 50 and if some of the spotting scopes now the problem is magnification there, you have 120 millimeter lens on a spotting scope. Again, when you have the great big magnifications you cut down light. So getting a little bit And what I mean by, you know, you can bring up a good piece of, like a good, with great glass, and you can barely see across the field, but you put your eye to that scope and you can make out more detail, you can, you know, enough to, well, is that deer, is that a buck, you know what I mean? But your eye can't, because, again, that front lens is much bigger, had a greater ability in your eye, the dipole in your eye, and passed light through the instrument. The way to tell that, the difference between even the best, I tried to give you a pro right here, grading on even the best plastic lenses versus real glass lenses low light you guys just before again you know it's really getting kind of hard to see out here but if I bring up these little $15 binoculars I can still see my buddy's Nikon here Wow look at what's out and you'll come to a point where the plastic lens will just fall off but you're still producing a usable image and that could very well be the difference you know I wanted to mix these two together here, Mark, because AAA says traffic's going to be down about 1% this year, all of the car traffic, even though the price of gasoline is down, I'm pretty certain some of those people are taking some of that money and it's obvious that it's going over to, again, the metals, commodities, you know, lead, brass, things along that line. Looking, and you think you've got the wish list full, look around and, again, just in that low light, if you've got a buddy who's got a pair of binoculars take out your plastic lenses in that low light and compare them up and find out if you think you should grade in your visual ability because you know what it's this time of day in the morning too you know what I mean twice a day you're going to find that man your eyes just don't can't produce that image but with a little bit of assistance you can get across that twilight bridge and now it's dark enough hey light up that piece of night vision and you you know you're looking around 24 hours a day what ought to be And one of the things about this to remember with optics is even if you do have the cheap little, you know, the lesser, you know, less capable pieces of equipment, remember, nothing is retired. Everything is transferred from one person to the next. As you upgrade, if you can either A, keep it as a backup or pass it on to the rest of the team. We do this. all the time. In fact, we've done this with a lot of optics that we've acquired done, where as we find weapons optics or sighting systems for certain firearms, we hand them off to the people that have the weapons that it makes sense they possess. And that way we upgrade that much farther than the overall squad and fire team performance. We had a little bit of a festival here this last weekend with a series of units that all independent just west of us actually middle of the state of michigan here let's put this way it's not even accurate because it's much higher but hundreds and hundreds of people are now in touch with each other who have organized new formations and these good men and women all of a sudden realize that they have a lot of resources that they can exchange and trade to upgrade each other and that's exactly what's happening this weekend In fact, let's put it there. Okay, let's do real numbers. A little under a thousand plus people in three counties in less than what? A month? And that's not the only area where it's happening right now? The numbers as far as, you know, when this is happening, guys, think about resource transfer, what we can do. Don has a squad. And Don, you're standardized on the 1911, but Fred, who came in, has a Beretta model 92. and he's got all the goodies. Now, personally I wouldn't probably get rid of that weapon. Anyway, I wouldn't get rid of most weapons, if there's how it works. But let's say that Mark shows up and Mark has a whole team and it's outfitted with bread of Mom and Lanny II's. But Oscar over there has a 1911. Now you probably aren't going to pry it out of his hands anyway. But in a combat situation with progressive supply needs and support needs being very specific, It would behoove you to do some reasonable bartering and come up with an exchange process so that the Berettas are with the Berettas, the Browning's are with the Browning's, the 45's are with the 45's, the 1911's. This is a plus-plus thing. And now he fits right in. Right, exactly. We can exchange personnel and again, this is true because this is what's happening right now to the west. The numbers of people that were cooperating are such that they actually had some of them, for instance, one gentleman, I can go this way, a gentleman, bought a lot of things back in the 90s. He bought them because of what is happening in fact He was prepared then to do what he is now going to do which is sell his individual personal collection of weapons You know like a case of SKS's for basically what he paid for them and he wasn't paying $300 for an SKS in 1995. But now they'll be deployed. And the very thing that he promised to do And again, isolated. This man had two or three other people with him. He got linked up with another formation of brigade here in Jackson County. And everybody smiled and cooperated. Now guess what? The other formation needed specific arms to outfit the rest of their people. They're very serious. The biggest problem is limitations and resources. Well, a patriot like this showing up has made all the difference in the world and completely restructured their battle readiness. That's how you got to think people going from the butter knife to the steak knife from the steak knife to the spear from the spear to the bow From the bow to a single barrel shotgun from a single barrel shotgun to a 22 that semi-automatic I might still keep this single barrel shotgun. No, I think I fact annoyed and then going on to say a bolt k-98 or a Moissan they got or somebody throws you an SKS or I mean think of the progressive upgrade with each step you get better and We hope you're way past the butter knife and the steak knife. Oh, yeah. Okay, but there are ways that you can improve the situation. So keep that in mind and think forward. We need deep supply in place like this. There's another gentleman who's done something similar. Only he purchased millions of rounds in the 90s and he is being very friendly and his logic is the ammunition is going to the right people in the odds and he's doing it right now. And you know what? I don't know how much he's got left, but he's not selling it to anybody other than militia. Period. That's his goal in life. That's what he is doing. So that's the kind of work we need to see. Now, before we go to the top of the hour, switching back to something we kind of touched on at the bottom of the hour, and I've mentioned this before, if you're using a personal firearm, such as a pistol or a revolver, speed loaders or reloaded magazines need to be in place and online. You need to know where they are in your gear. Now the reason I bring this up is, Don talked about the vest, we're also talking about your combat load. If you're using the M1956 series web gear, it's a pistol belt, everything's suspended around that, but you have places up above like on your suspenders where you may have tacked gear. In the dark, you need to know how to handle this, so I'm going to recommend you put your gear on, I want you to close your eyes, shut off the lights, okay, do this at night ideally, and I want you to reach to each position on your web gear and test it. If you can't reach it and you're over straining, you need to adjust your equipment so that it fits your body, not so that it looks pretty. This is one of the biggest problems. Well, I watched all these videos and the guy says it should look like this. Well, if it looks like this but Mark can't reach the last magazine pouch, then it kind of defeats the purpose. So Mark better move that magazine pouch forward or adjust it to where it's accessible. Now another thing, When using a magazine system like this, when using mag pouches, assault rifles systems such as the web, the web vests, etc., remember to always use, especially in first contact, use the farthest magazine pouches back to the rear of your person first. Why is that? Things are probably going to get hotter and you're going to want to get quicker. And if you think about using the farthest or most inaccessible mag pouches or stations first, As you get into critical contact and the enemy gets closer or you're seeing greater repetition in contact, you now have less time to drop the mag, pick up the next one, insert it in the magazine well, work the action and pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, oh, magazine drop, next one up. There you go and it's that quick because you don't have to think about reaching around behind and that's how they find you dead with your hand reaching around trying to grab something from a mag pouch to the rear that got stuck. The other point is, you know if you got your fire team buddy standing there, you know a little hey sometimes it's hard to hear over everything going pop bang boom but hey I'm out or reloading is really good because you know it's been said before on this hour If a whole team runs out at one time, generally you'll read the whole team's name in the obituaries the next day, if you ever do. That's right. I'm empty. Cover me. Empty. Cover me. Empty or dry. Whatever term you use within your team, that's fine. It could just be Shackleford. You don't have to say empty or anything. It could be Green 14. Yeah, Schmitty, Fred, Frank. There's no Schmitty, Fred, or Frank in the unit. Everybody knows when you say Schmitty, that means he's reloading. Whatever it is, it's kind of like, you know we joke about accents. Does anybody understand where the New England accent comes from? Have you ever listened to ship crews when they shout? They have found that, you know, it's like, oh, affirmative, aye aye, sir. The reason what they're doing is the inflection is designed to drive the voice, you know, the voice is driven up so it can be heard over the background noise or over the wind. And it's the way that it's occurred. It's interesting we don't think about how these things develop, but that's what happened there, guys. By the very nature of the industry that these people are a part of, their vocabulary and language was affected. Plus, they, of course, their ethnicity, the background, you know, where they came from. But here's the thing, where they came from, they were doing the same thing they did over here. That's why the intonations and the accent is built up the way that it has. It's where it comes from. Okay? The whole of New England does. Okay? So keep that in mind that when you're talking, you may want to change the inflection of what you're doing. Okay? So that you can be heard because one of the other things that happens, guys, is you're going to have specific frequency interference if your ears are not protected and you're discharging a firearm. You know you're gonna lose your hearing there's a simple way of saying it now that means you're gonna have to overcome blockage or again shock to the hearing system of all the parties concerned so keep that in mind as a consideration when loading and reloading or If you are dry slash empty you have to come up with a term for that hey, I'm down You know there is a way to do this if you've got 20 and 30 round mags when the team is all fresh and moving into the field some of you got 20s and some of you got 30s you might have both But if you stagger the team like that, think about it. Some of you aren't going to run out while some of you are still a guy. That's right. Okay? It's common sense. Yep. And so again, there are a number of different techniques. By the way, real quick here before I forget, we are at the top of the arrow almost. MainMilitary.com has a MOLLE PAC 6 pocket pouch. Frank was offering it with three mags or six mags, AR-15 thermolds. I do not know if there are any left, but if they're there, I didn't call today. Normally I call every day to see what's going on. If he still has them, it's a good price, it's a nice package. The Molly pouch is a CIA, it's like the old CIA mag bags they used to make for the AR-15 or for the grease gun, okay? They're designed to be very simple. They're designed like bandoliers. What you do is you pack up, several of these mag pouches with six mags load them up put them in ammo cans and 20 millimeter cans are ideal guys and you have them sitting ready to go now guess what when the time comes here's your rifle here's your chairs here's your shoulder bag You know how to handle an AR? Sure you do. Okay, well you didn't bring yours but you're stuck standing there bare butt naked or let's say you have to be resupplied. There's no thinking about it. Now we do this with SKS chest pouches en masse. We've done these in the thousands. Grab the SKS chest pouches, grab a whole pile of the SKS stripper clips, get the AK speed loaders and put one of those in the chest pouch in the little pocket. Then load up the chest pouch with 20, you know, two stripper clips per pocket and load the whole thing up, fold it up, and put it inside the 20 millimeter can, load it in ready to go. Now we do go one step farther. Every one of the mag pouches, the chest pouches, has a Ziploc bag that creates a water seal so that you've got another barrier, another way to keep the ammo clean and dry. And then it goes in the ammo can anyway, just like that. Now, when you open the can, guess what? There's Don, there's eight SKS Tripper clip chest pouches ready to go. Don can walk up with an empty pouch, dump it, and literally grab the other one and run, or two. That's right. Just as quick as we need him, he's there. Here's your rifle, here's a chest pouch. Here's your rifle, here's a chest pouch. That's the way you load your equipment, people, so it's cock-locked and ready to rock and roll. Well, Don, we're at the top of the hour. It did not take long people. Don's gonna go out hopefully in well, maybe kill Bami, maybe not God bless the Republic. Death to the new world order. We shall prevail ladies and gentlemen.
