Mark Koernke and co-host Don discussed advanced ammunition manufacturing techniques, including machining 20mm and 50 caliber projectiles using lathes and specialized materials like tungsten carbide and bronze. They detailed homemade armor-piercing round construction and testing conducted in a basement workshop. The show shifted to grassroots activism, with Mark describing roadside signs he created promoting ammunition purchases and militia support, noting public respect for the messaging. A caller named Tom raised concerns about Charles Schumer's anti-gun activities, prompting extended criticism of the NRA as compromised opposition that fails to mobilize its membership. The episode concluded with detailed instructions for assembling affordable AR-15 rifles using M16A1 upper receivers and lower receiver kits from multiple suppliers.
I eat no graves at home, I get frosted dry in water And giddy must come like, well it's a tooth of slaughter But it's the way the jaws must do, and the sooner it is begun If the flingin' trigger holds a buck through, the quicker it will be done Hold the rifle, hold the rifle In our hands, don't prove no to rifle Hold the rifle, hold the rifle In our hands, don't prove no to rifle Hey you guys, we're back. A couple bits of history there. This is my rifle and oh the rifle and you know what this is the intelligence report and it is Weapons Wednesday and you know, Mark, while we're talking about machinists with nothing to do during the break it popped into my thought line that you know there are people out there with lathes who they kind of live a little bit on the edge because if you want to take a 20 millimeter, oh you know that's called a cannon show. and turn it down so that you can run it through your latte or your solithorn. It needs to be turned down a little bit and you don't really want to let it do it. People are really lazy. But while you put it in the lathe, you don't want to turn it any faster than about 200 RPMs because if it turns much faster than that, the shell becomes armed. Let me think of other things you could do with that lathe. How about casings? You know, the brass portion, a complete cartridge for a 20 millimeter. How about 20 millimeter external, because this is a problem with pouring 20 millimeter, you don't generally build a very accurate 20 millimeter lead poured bullet mark, I'm told. This is why a lot of people will take a commercially produced, you know, 20 millimeter. Here, let's be a little more appropriate. Solid shot round. Yeah, cannon shell. And turn it down, because it's commercially produced. Well, how about on a lathe, metal jacket for that piece. How about even building a core and now that you've got your center you run a core into that and then you simply heat the core and the jacket up a little bit enough so that when the lead is poured in there you know it grabs onto everything it helps continuity of flow. Another thing to do is if you're going to do something about along this lines but now you really get into health hazard things because what we're talking about is powdered lead. This is another thing that manufacturers are doing, Mark, is killing a bullet with powdered lead, 50 caliber, hollow, and frangible bullets, you guys. Now, you know, think about that, even just that little 20 millimeter coming down range and hitting something and coming apart and the whole of it coming up and becoming projectile itself. The whole of it hitting something, and just because it's built just right, the penetrator in the center, is through something that really 20 millimeter wasn't really. to be built to go through. So, you know, there are plenty of people out there with the ability and some imagination and the ability, the imagination and time. All they need is just somebody to buy the products they make, Mark. Isn't that true? Somebody to keep them in business? Well, here's the thing, you know, especially first of all, oh, I hate it when they turn down those existing 20 millimeter solid rounds, you know, the blue trainers. because those suckers actually are pretty good penetrators in a big 20. In fact, let's put it this way. A lot of guys out there have sloth rooms and they have lotties and they have, let's see, 20 millimeter blow-up kits of the Mahdi Griffin. In fact, if you want to see something interesting, go to our favorites on YouTube on the page and you will see a 20 millimeter with silencer being used on a range making less noise down than the 22s and the 223s next to it. In fact, you go, what was that? Is that the noise? That's the first time everybody hears that they go here. Did that go off? Did that go off? Yeah, what the hell happened? Hey, that's really dull. You're expecting flame flash and you know, you know burned grass in front of the rifle down on the ground three feet below the muzzle that kind of thing and not nothing like that So 20 millimeter is of course the next area they're pressing up but 20 gets in a special issues with regard to dimensions 50 is is Pretty common 20 millimeter is regularly available used to be there were boxes of 540 solid shot rounds or up to three to five thousand depending on the loader box. It was used for the factory And these were projectiles for the standard 20mm aircraft cannon and they were also used with the 20mm cannon that was on the M114 armored reconnaissance vehicle. Now, and the Germans use that quite extensively by the way, too, the same round. Interestingly enough, we have a bunch of Victor 2 class vehicles like that. We've been building a variation, although again in wheel configuration of the 114 in terms of size, you will probably have seen some of these in different videos if you've been paying attention. And the M114s of course, whatever's out there, we've grabbed, picked up and put back into service, refurbishing, changing electronics. Well, it's kind of nice to have a 50 on the roof if you can, you know what I mean? So even if it's just a Barrett going chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, that's a lot better than harsh language and throwing sticks, okay? So if we're going to develop these rounds, let's start doing it now. Get the people in place that are able to do the research. We don't have to reinvent the wheel in all directions. Where you can go, and this is a set of books you want to find. It's from the Frankfurt Arsenal. The very thing you're talking about, Don, where they actually did, built everything from scratch guys and made prototype production runs of projectiles, of whole loads, specific cases utilizing existing bullets. There were three books done by a gentleman and what he did is he went into the National Archives and went to the Frankfurt Arsenal inventory and started reproducing the data there. Now, it's interesting, the feds all went ape-crazy. It's public information. You can go in and get it. There's no restrictions on it. It's from 50, 60, 70, 80, and 100 years ago. But they're terrified of everybody realizing just how easy and simple 99% of what was being done was done. Okay, how easy it was. So for everybody out there guys, you can be doing your part. The Sten gun was made by every grandma in England with a rat tail file and a hammer and a mandrel. That's not an exaggeration. No, grandma was doing... What are you doing grandma? Making trigger guards for the Sten gun. You can kill another Jerry. That's right, there's another 1,315. Give me the next piece of strapping metal. Ping ping ping ping with a little hammer and tap tap tap tap. When you start thinking about 20s and trying to make them do what they were supposed to do when they first really came into the field, like stop light armor, let's go over to a rifle phrase. It's a compound word here, Mark. And if you want to be creative, have the imagination, the ability, how about a Wildcat 20 that really bumps up a little more powder behind it? How about your own custom chamber? And maybe you're shooting something down the tube that came out of your lathe, you know, a whole solid piece. Well, let's see. Maybe it came out of the lathe and it has a solid core in it now too. What could I do? Guys, there's so much. Well, let's think of something really unique, guys. Let's do this. Let's talk about a 20. And like you said, Don, we mill out the outer shell. We make the thing out, make it out of bronze. There we go. We center bore the projectile. We go to our supply and we get ourselves a tungsten carbide rod. We center the tungsten carbide rod, preferably have it tapered at the supplier, and we insert that into that all solid bronze machined projectile that we've created. Now, here's what happens when it slaps against something. The bronze, of course, super heats in the higher velocities to a degree. Charges up and actually gets quite warm traveling, okay? When it hits, it actually works like a welding lubricant. It actually works into quite a frenzy when it impacts. And while the slap round in the front, the penetrator, when it makes contact, as it starts to break the aluminum, shatter the aluminum or penetrate the steel, the bronze actually works as a lubricant to a degree. It actually is drawn through the fracture cavity. and allows for a more efficient penetration when the time comes through the armor. Copper does the same thing by the way, but bronze is really cool. There's some interesting things about it. In fact, you can use Lubeloy, which is another thing that is bronze variant. It actually has a special type of material that was used in solid stock and produced in solid stock. It was used for making races, for self-lubricating races with different shafts. You could mill it out, work it, whatever, but it was designed to be replaceable. Now, with a projectile like this, man, that would slot down the tube just like there's no tomorrow, offered no felt resistance. But when it gets to the other end, it would perform in a very unique way. She got the time, the ability. You're kind of handy. Oh, I must have had too much time on my hand when I was young because I was young. Because you see, we tested all this stuff, guys. We had a lot of fun with this. I got a piece of iron around here, Don, that's an inch and a half thick. It's cut off of the vehicle that we fired on and it was all homemade penetrators that we were using. And we took 50 caliber spotter barrels, strapped the receiver that we built to an old 16.5 inch truck rim to use as our stabilizer, and came up with a naming system and we would touch these puppies off as our test platform and see what we could come up with that would penetrate. And it's fascinating that when this stuff hits it looks like you're seeing pictures when water is hit with a pebble, how it splashes and you get that sear around the outside. Oh I can show you five striker hits from five different AP rounds all made from junk. that went through one and a half inches of homogeneous armor plate all done in the basement guys all done with off-the-shelf stuff back when they were saying they were going to ban all the ammunition back in the late seventies we decided hey we gotta come up with solutions and you know what we did so I want you to think about that little Afghani kid running out of boring out a 50 caliber barrel by hand it takes a month you know I'm certain it's still employed somewhere in Afghanistan and it's not shooting Russians any more. That goes over to, if you treat a gun good, we're running out. You know that, Mark. I just got to go in this direction. I know we'll be at break in a moment. But how many times have I heard you say, if you treat a gun good, you know, and you teach your son to treat it good, and so on and so forth, that gun will be working and looking good and working for centuries? When phase blasters are the common, you know, take it out, it's not much bigger than your BIC lighter, and you just point it at your opponent and will him to be gone and he's gone, well, phase blasters will be out of, they'll be outlawed and whatnot too, but internal combustion firearms, they're treated right and you have the ability to build and to maintain the gun. Just a matter of being creative people, that's all it comes down to. And I tell you what, we are headed towards break here in a second. One of the most important things, tools and technology. I cannot stress enough tools and technology. We need machining equipment. We're going to need lathes. We're going to need drill presses. Guys, just a simple drill press test, so much. But we're going to talk more about that when we get back. This is Weapons Wednesday. Don and Mark, Intel Report. It's the first hour. Back in three. I told you I've done this many many times what I did today is well actually last night to about three in the morning Everybody knows I talked to some of the guys in the chat room at one point or another into the wee hours But in between that trying to get the projects done one of the things I did is I took the 4x4 sheets of plywood that I saved from the wrecking boxes down the road here down from the construction sites. I already had them painted. I got them painted with a... Oh, I just painted someone with a 15 year old exterior house paint. You know what? Didn't cost me anything. Got it from another site where somebody else tossed it away. Paint worked beautifully. Dried fantastic. Then I took a stencil kit and I put buy more ammo now and then amoman.com on the sign. Cool, then I also put buy more ammo now and this buy more ammo and then I also put let's see Socialists are thieves in big two. Oh, no one and a half foot letters and That way it's kind of like a berma-shave thing. It's buy more ammo buy no and why more ammo now and then of course Socialists are thieves now you can take that however you want But you can figure out what we were planning on buying the ammo for well taking you know again. Take a guess I'm on a pretty busy road here guys. You know what I've been hearing all day? Beep beep beep beep beep beep oh yeah Okay, you know we've been working outside all day. We've been working all over the place I got a bunch of the construction work done get a bunch of the other Packaging done got one of some of the work on one of the tactical Jeeps to include the radio signal gear guys I keep hearing beep beep and now it's rush hour outside. You know what we're hearing outside Beep beep beep beep Beat, beat. Buy more Hamill. Beat, beat. Now, down the road, if you go to another intersection, it says, support the militia. If you go to another road intersection, there's another big sign that says, support the militia. There's another big sign that says, support the militia. Now, if Mark can do this, and Mark's really, really busy with all the other things that we're doing, I think all of you can do the same thing and have some fun. OK? Now, you know what's really fascinating? For as busy as the place is, that sign is, especially the big one, has been there for, well, let's see, the support your militia sign, has been there for the last two weeks now. And nobody bothers it. Now they've torn down every other sign around it. In fact, this will be quite honest, this is very true. Every other sign around that sign has been torn down, taken off, you know, election done. But there's one sign that everybody is respecting and leaving alone. And guess what sign that is? Support the moment. And beep beep, beep beep. Ain't that fascinating. So don't tell me people aren't paying attention. Just the reverse. And remember what Beck said. 9 out of 10 people out there right now are understanding what the problem is and realize what the threat is. We got a caller, I think we got Tom. Tom, jump in there please. Yeah, I'm calling. I see on our website today everybody's favorite buddy, Charles Schumer, is going after a lot of people. Hey, maybe you know what don't worry guys guys guys. Oh, no. I'm not worried. I just wanted Listen listen, I'm being facetious here. Don't worry the NRA is gonna strip bare-butt naked and jump in bed with Pelosi and handgun control incorporated just like they did earlier this year when they screwed all of the the Veterans remember that yeah, don't worry the NRA is gonna be right there to sell us down the tubes I've seen that today and I said, well, I'm going to have to tell Mark about that because I thought that was kind of funny because he's a disgusting thing anyways. He's as bad as Osama Obama ding dong, Mark. Do you know what's funny about... He's worse. One good thing about Osama is he's going to wake people up like Clinton did. Well, let's go back. Hold on, Tom. He already... Hold on. Wait. Let's go back a little bit. How many people remember Mr. Metzenbaum? Yeah, you remember mr. Metzenbaum he was a bottom-feeding parasite anti-gun kosher mafia scumbag, okay? He's dead. Yeah now. Here's a wonderful thing. He died of a horrible cancer. Okay, mr. Schumer is in the same boat right now You know what? I think we're gonna outlive his hind end too and you know, I hopefully he does he is gonna go rabid There's no doubt they right now remember first of all, well first of all, let's go through all the things they promised remember this If they get Nancy Pelosi in office, they're going to stop the Vietnam War and they're going to impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney. That was two years ago, guys. I'm still waiting. You mean the Iraqi War? Oh yeah, the Iraqi War. Oh, they want to wage war against the American people, but you see that's another story. Well, you said the Vietnam War, and that was... Oh, did I say Vietnam? I'm sorry. Same thing. Slip of the tongue, you know, the Viet-Persian Gulf War. I mean, yeah, whatever. You're more resources grower. That's right. Here's the thing, remember, this one's going to be the forever war, okay? But anyway, the point is that real quick here, I hope that nobody is sending any money to the NRA. Nobody. I believe that you might as well walk out, out front, go down the street, find Handgun Control Incorporated and put it right in their paws. Well, or another thing just take it outside and put a match to it and burn it. Well, that would be better in either case because at least none of the bad guys got it. But here's the problem. If the NRA gets it, they'll betray us just as quick as they have every time so far. And I'm going to point something else out about the NRA. The NRA jumped over into the U.N., kids, not because of their excuse that, oh, they want to find out what's going on. No, they know where their bread is buttered. They're planned opposition. They'd never, as Larry Prada said this several times, the NRA has millions of people and they do not mobilize them ever. That should tell you who the management is. Well, it's like right now, okay, no? I pointed this out. I had somebody call me from the NRA and I just got onto them real quick. I said, hey, I've seen in the last couple of publications in the NRA you're doing the same thing you did back before 95. They put all these articles in about the revolution and the colonial days and oh we got to remember this and remember that and as soon as things got serious they wet their pants and they fled. They wet their pants like the green weenies that they are and they fled. Most of them, what I would say to most is walk up and say hey why don't you give those weapons to somebody who's going to use them because otherwise you're going to hand them over. Now that's not everybody but there's a whole bunch of them that think they can make a deal well as long as I have mine I don't care if they screw Tom or a Don or Fred or Frank or you know Java or whoever as long as they're all them that's okay, and I'll give you an example I've got a hold on I've got in the cup I have never had a situation where I have seen an NRA lawyer ever come to anybody's aid ever no And as for all the money that people are wasting on them, they've never come to help them. Go ahead, Tom. Quick. I had a couple gun shields that I was at at NRA stand, and I got a few arguments with them because on the same thing that you just mentioned, Mark, I go, you guys aren't there to help us. You're there just to take our money. And I go, you guys are met with a communist, and you know it. In fact, watch to see what happens and who starts standing up there swapping spit with them real quick. You watch and see. Okay, I'll let you go. I just wanted to let you know Mark. Thank you Tom. Thank you. God bless. And we are almost to the top of the hour. Real quick here guys, one more time for those AR-15. They're the M16A1 uppers. You can use them on any of the rifles. $250 in good condition. I'd save the $25 and just go with good condition. They're the standard barrel, the sandbag type front grip, everything's on them. All you got to do is put the rest of the kit together from pieces and parts and you got yourself another AR-15. And for what you're doing, if you're looking at, you know, guys are telling me, man, I can't afford a $1,000 rifle. You're right, most of you can't. If you can that's a wonderful thing. I'm not saying to stop doing what you're doing but for a lot of us you're gonna have to make ends meet. So the cool thing is if you take your time here's the whole upper receiver in the older pattern barrel. Everybody's familiar with the thing. It's very user-friendly. It has very minimal working parts as far as things that can break on the outside or stuff that's gonna catch on things. All the trinkets and junk they're putting on the outside of most these new weapons if you try to go across a Michigan thicket right now. you're going to come out looking like a porcupine with all the garbage you're going to be dragging through the woods. In fact, you'll be sounding like a wildebeest. So the standard M16A1 receivers from Ohio Ordnance Works Inc. 440-285-3481, 440-285-3481, You can go to CenterFireSystems.com and their phone number is... 1-800-950-1231 1-800-950-1231 They have an AR15 kit down that has every pin, part, screw. It has the lower trigger group, everything there short of the receiver for $59. Okay, so look at that right there you got most of the parts. Now the lower receiver is running about $119 to $120. You may have to pay a little more or a little less, but you can do it in pieces. Okay? Most important is take your time and start to do the research, but we're giving you directions I'm trying to find the ad right here I'm looking even as we speak because I got a flyer right here in front of me I pulled it out just for this reason now you're gonna have to kick me in the head because boy I'm screwing up anyway point is that all the little trinkets you can buy aftermarket or and my recommendation here we go I got it air 15 lower kit even has a pistol grip has all the lower group to trigger the pins there's these the keeper points, all of it, all there, everything done, $59.99, it's 98ARLOWPK, $59.99, AR-15, lower receiver trigger group, you know, and all the other pins. Now, between a few other trinkets, and by the way, if you're going to do the AR-15, don't do the folder, don't even bother with it. The cheapest way to go is a standard stock with a trap. If you got the folder, don't change out. You already committed to it. Stick with it. When you build the next one, build it standard. Why? Because it's cheap. Cheap four parts. The idea is to put as many of these together as we can, as quickly as we can. Now, I'll give you an idea. The cheapest upper AR right now, upper receiver Don that's in a standard, is running $329. So you save about $75 right there. $80. Just by going the upper M16A1. Now, is it going to work? Hell yes, worked just fine. Worked for how many years? Now, that doesn't mean it didn't have problems, but these are without all the toothing problems. It's already been fixed. Lower receivers, standard here, $15.99.99. So we're looking at $100 for the receiver plus the shipping. If you did the lower and you went out and bought it from them, you're looking at the tube, you're looking at the buffer tube, the buffer, the spring, a few other trinket parts, guys, and you're done. Everything is there. Bingo. There's an AR-15 without having to spend $1,000. And by the way, it'll take any scope topside you want to put on it. And you know what? That thing will be a tack driver for what it's designed to do. It's going to be good enough to keep you in service, and it'll get what the other guy has. OK? That's what we want. Well, I'll tell you what. We're at the top of the first hour. Been a long day, but you know what it's a free day now people you feel better. I feel healthier I think everybody feels happier because we all know where we're going now. We're going to war! God bless the Republic! Death to the new world order. We shall prevail ladies and gentlemen the Empire is on the run. Hurrah! Fix bayonets chasing down the road, poke them all the way, give them a backpack for all these dipole machines that failed yesterday. Take them to the edge of the brink. make sure they drop. Thank you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you.
