When you get raw metal before, especially when it's come out of the furnace, it's sitting there, it's already been properly cured, it's sitting there in the rack, the guys are gonna grind it down, the CNC machine is gonna turn it into your favorite firearm. When it's done, it's virgin right there, but it's still got a finish on it. However, that finish bonds to a degree, if it's a phosphate finish, if it's a bluing, if it's a plum, whatever it is that they're doing, that's done. there's still access to the crystal structure.
