Mark Koernke discussed advanced firearms and tactical preparedness on Weapons Wednesday. The show covered AR-15 upper receiver systems and .50 caliber rifle configurations from Ferret Industries, including paperwork-free upper receivers and main battle rifle platforms in various calibers. Koernke provided extensive tactical instruction on terrain utilization, thermal signature reduction, and defensive positioning, referencing historical examples like the Kosovo campaign and a SEAL Team engagement in Afghanistan. Callers contributed discussions on ammunition caching techniques, field illumination using flare guns and star shells, and integrated squad-level tactics for deploying heavy weapons systems like the .50 caliber rifle with ammunition bearers and spotters.
I had a dream the other night that, well, I didn't understand. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free. and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. The tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You vie permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. and your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? Both sons of the Republic arise. Take a stand. Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land. Preserve our great Republic in each God-given right. And pray to God to keep the torture freedom bright. As Iowoki vanished in the midst of whence he came. His words were true. We are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each God given right we only watching tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Dill the land of the free is the second number of the afternoon intelligence report I'm Mark corny closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters vote on let you know more about that soon. Thank you for our guys and gals in Indiana and Illinois helping out with that project, keep up the good work. And we're expanding. We're taking advantage of every technology we can leak out of the system. Somebody abandons it, abandons it, there we go, Mark, it's been a rough day. And leaves it behind, we pick it up, we kick some fuel into that horse, and we ride it a lot more than they expected, many more miles. That's the whole idea. The old Apache trick, guys, you might call it from the movies. Dave Moore from Cessna. One more time, give him a call. Dave is in the office right now. You're listening and you didn't hear the last hour. Sometimes that happens, we know, because of different links with different networks. 407-957-3617. Again, that's 407-957-3617. Dave Moore, if you want to find out more about his upper receiver groups and he does more. www.Ferritt50.com. That's www.F-E-R-R-E-T.Ferritt50.com. Now, one of the things, you got an AR-15 guys, you've been looking for a head but you don't want to fill out more paperwork, you don't have to worry about more nonsense. You need something to kind of lighten the combat load, well guess what? The AR-50 drops right into a standard AR-15 upper receiver and away you go. But, does not require administrative paperwork because it is nothing more than an upper. There's no paperwork to worry about. It's just another chunk of metal, guys. If you need more, give them a call at 407-573617. We'll let you have been listening and you heard about him on our program. Thanks again. A lot of work to do. Now, I know we got some callers stacked up already and our call in line is 512-646-1984. That's 512-646-1984. One more time, 5-1-2-6-4-6, 1984. Before we go there, another thing, the next family down of arms beyond the .50 caliber rifles is the MBR, main battle rifle. It overlaps from one direction to the other, and that's the other placement rifles in the standard bolt action receiver groups. Now, what would rate for that? Well, 338 Lapua, 338 Winchester, 418 Rigby, 416 Rigby. How about the old elephant rifles, like in 700 Nitro Express or 600 Nitro Express? Yeah, there's some of that stuff floating around out there, the big big boys. 7mm Remington Magnum and 300 WinMag. Though again, just a niche of them, they do fit into a slide group right in between. If you have those weapons, they should be perceived in the same way for long range individual placed round action. At maximum range, maximum range, there is a reason. Look at your weapon systems as a series of umbrellas or umbrellas that open to a specific distance. Your weapons that reach farther can be either put forward with the rest of your weapon systems reaching deeper into the battlefield or another consideration is you can actually place them back farther and deeper creating a defense in your weapons that are less capable fall back through that long-range umbrella and base of fire press the advance of an aggressor. Think about that. You don't have to put them forward. You can do just reverse. Put them back half the distance of their maximum range. They can continue to deliver fires that may be making initial contact and intentionally is falling back. This is one of the many concepts that are laid down. It's kind of like a rifle ambush or a heavy weapon system ambush. Yes, you have to take into consideration all the modern technologies, duh, like we don't know about all the goofiness that they're trying to push that while it's brutal resist, you'll be absorbed, you'll be seen by this, you'll be seen by that. How many of you have spent eight times in the woods? And how many of you understand thermal reduction technology? Not just thermal identifying technology, but there's all kinds of ways. In fact, we put it this way, some of the simplest thermal defense technology are trees and rocks. Now, just a quick note on that. A lot of people, here's a sore point, we got a whole SEAL team. You might recall, you can read the article in time and news week. Whole unit wiped out. Now, the choppers came in and they landed on this hilltop and they thought it was absolutely baby butt clean. And they had thermal, they had over watching satellite, they had all kinds of overlapping multi-tiered technology. And they're the best of the best, as we're told. And when they landed on that hill, from all the cracks and crevices and all over the place, all of a sudden they were making contact with a Taliban slash Mu'ajidim unit that was up there on that hill and they got the clocks cleaned. How is that? Now if you read that article, one of the other things I thought was rather interesting is they said that, well, they killed so many, they said they knew exactly how many, they were like 64 or 70, whatever it was. and that they killed 40 some of them but they didn't recover very many if any of the bodies and so everybody must have carried the carried the dead or wounded away and my problem with that is if they claim that they killed almost two-thirds of the force what did everyone those little 110 160 pound 120 pound Taliban slash mauja Dean did they throw a body on every shoulder and grab their rifles to an each arm before they shucked on down the hill some of the problems with some of the BS they come up with when they give you numbers. Have you ever thought about the image that that projects? Oh, don't forget they had to carry their own weapons out of there too. Not just the the weapons of the two bodies that they're picking up, the two corpses which I'd like to see. I'd like to watch this. These guys must be real after me. Well anyway, point is this. How is it they weren't seen? C-130 mounted technology with the overhead satellite surveillance with the high elevation. I drones spy drones. supposed to be terrified of those. That's the latest, well that's the latest scam. Spydrones. Well they had all of that and those seals are supported 100% by all kinds of special technology and yet what they went in, what they literally landed in the middle of, no clue, it's because they knew how to use the terrain and cover and concealment. Terrain as in putting material between. So don't say it can't be done. Do you see any tropical rainforest? Do you see any oak forest over there in Afghanistan? On that hilltop, it'll look like some tree-covered slope in South Carolina or North Carolina, or like the woods of Tennessee, or like the tree lines of Michigan. When the time came, all the technology... Now that's under the United States, but here's another kicker, guys. When you worry about thermal technology with weapons systems, how many deer are out there? How many squirrels? How many rabbits? How many bunnies? If you reduce your thermal signature enough, and this isn't that hard, happens is you blend more and more in with other things that are in the environment. But here's another little trick. Let's say that you're being hunted by helicopters. Let me ask y'all something real quick. Do y'all know what helicopters look like? So do you need to watch them? Have you ever tried to track by closing your eyes and sensing both with the rush, actually the strike of the chopper blades with the sound and being able to keep an object between you and what it is you're hearing? because that's how you operate at night. I don't need to see the helicopter. I can actually sense it, feel it, you know, in other words, you know where it is. Now, I don't need to peek around the tree. I've seen helicopters before. So again, if I use my senses and I think I can put solid objects which reduce completely, actually to zero targeting, their ability to actually monitor or observe my signature. And that's if I'm bare butt naked, not really prepared. How do I know this? Because we have done this before. real life, real successfully, so don't say it can't be done. Hear that? I'm still here. Okay? And I, and I can, you can't take that from me. Applied what it is we're talking about and made it work. Okay? And there are other technologies available. Let's just say use common sense. If you're bare butt naked, again, put more material. Just like when you're defending against small arms fire. More junk between you and what's coming in is good. Okay? More overhead cover is good. Well, the same is true with cover and concealment when it comes to thermal technology. And we are in a very rich environment, indeed, across the many elements of the 50 states of these United States. Very, very different situation. In fact, again, no single solution on the enemy's part is going to be And don't get me into the whole thing about Kosovo, because I will remind everybody about what happened there, where they told everybody they bombed the Serbs into the Stone Age. When they were done, the Serbs, using deception and counter-targeting, in other words, dragging ordnance off to where it didn't do any good, 98%, 95% to 98% of the Serbian military, drove the battlefield, even though they claimed that we'd been bombing them for three months, and we'd killed so many tanks, and we destroyed so many artillery pieces. And guess what? It turned out that, well, they were an army planning on trying to survive and well trained. And they had used, so y'all better start thinking multifaceted here. You better start thinking solution rather than lamenting or complaining about the problem. There are plenty of solutions, but there is another word attached to it that nobody likes. It's W-O-R-K. Workfield situation still applies with regard to work. You have to get it done. You have to do something. You have to end up with an end result. And our primary end result is not second place. We want to stomp the guts out of them. We want to take what's left of them and dump them over in the pig pen, leave them for the pig speed on them. That's how it works. They plan on doing that to you. They're bragging about how they think they're going to do that to you. You had better be ready to win. Again, beyond those long range battle rifles, what we started out with here, the MBRs, or they should say the heavy MBRs, almost in the half inch range or just below it, then we get into MBRs, main battle rifles. Again, same concept guys, a little lower range, but still great range by comparison to the present standard battlefield arms carry. If you understand the maximum performance of your arm, and if you have a fighter team that is a combined arms team, you have the ability to do things that presently the average soldier on the battlefield cannot. But you have to think of the process through. And again, you have to know your terrain. So, running to another part of the planet completely alien fuel ain't gonna do you no good. This to take advantage of the battlefield you control and know and have lived with all your lives. Those people in Iowa learned that they kept their real estate and they didn't have their weapons taken either. Congratulations to you guys over there. When I was in there talking to an Englishman up in Scotland, and when they banned all the guns, they told me quite a few people buried their firearms. And they told me how to do it. They sealed it in a barrel, and they vacuum-packed the ammunition. I mean, is there a way to do the midnight gardening? Where your ammunition your firearms don't get corroded or more. She don't yes as a caching process as a matter of fact And Darrell that's something that we've covered for many years There are a number of different options now with all kinds of cool technologies out there You do have the what's called the well the vacuum packers first of all back 800 series There's a whole bunch of others and the hardwares now for doing the ammunition. I would make sure that everything vacuum sealed and I still put it in yet another container of its own separate from whatever else it's in. For instance, ammo cans, whatever. Because the military always does multi layers of defense. The vacuum packing would be step one. Putting it in the ammo cans would be step two. And then putting the ammo cans inside a containment vessel. That could be a 50 gallon large mouth or whatever color barrels you have. There's other tubes, there's other types of carrying. where people actually just build them on a cement block. The most common mistake, mistake made with caching, that people will dig a hole, they will pile all the dirt up off to the side, and then they will put the thing back in the hole and they'll just shovel the dirt back in in a slipshod fashion. Well, when you scan, you will see, if you were doing this with thermal, actually with Earths is the name of the system that was originally built for this, you can actually scan and identify where the soil, the subsoil, has been disturbed. On the other hand, if when you dig the hole for whatever volume of hole you're trying to build, you take the earth, the sod, from the top, you lay a piece of plastic right next to where you're cutting. You carefully take the sod and dig down about a shovel's worth, a shovel's depth, lay it on the plastic or lay it on the poncho, it off to the side, just pull it literally sideways. Lay another piece of plastic down or another poncho and progressively take the volume of subsoil out that you're going to need to compensate for the barrel or the tub or the box or whatever you're using. Put that in a poncho separate, big, thick visque queen, and then you drag that off and either dump it in a local stream progressively or lay it out on say the two-track road that's, you know, got a cut or ruts in it or even on the dirt road that might be there locally. Spread it out, get rid of it. It will be moved by the vehicles or crushed and worked in with the soil. Now once you put the object back into place, then you put whatever subsurface soil you did save to make up the volume difference, then put your mud back up on top of it exactly as it was laying before. and you will have eliminated the majority of what is perceived to be the threat slash signature identifier that's used when they're scanning for a cut or a berm or any place where you're burying something. They're looking also for rises or lows. You got to make sure that you think through the idea that you put enough soil. Remember, you've disturbed the soil, leave enough soil in so that as it's settled, leveled back to the existing terrain. Then it creates a bump. You don't want anything to create too extreme a depression. Now if you've left the sod intact with the weeds and the junk or whatever was there, it'll look fine. That is an old trick too. But if you do the gardening, it's still the same thing. You take and cut away your topsoil, which is always being turned anyway, and then do your subsoil trick, bury in a berry, take your subsoil and export it from the area completely if you're in the city, and make sure that it's, you know, put in somebody's driveway, put it in a chuck hole out in the, you know, on one of the dirt roads, whatever you want to do. There's a gentleman that built an entire underground complex five stories deep below his house or at all the concrete and he shipped everything out all the soil was carried out in a Reinforced and modified pop-up camper frame that looked like a pop-up camper But the lid came up and it was designed so he could put five gallon buckets in it and carry the soil away The ID behind it anything could be done if you think the process through and use your mind But the critical thing is with detection First, they're looking for that spoil because that's a cheap, easy target. Anything and everything is typically found that way because people don't think the process through. Now, in the past, they didn't worry about it because, I mean, they didn't have thermal technology or didn't have the sensor technology. Now, I would make it a priority. Even if you're doing fighting positions, doing any kind of defensive position networks, you operate the same way. You take the spoil, fill the sandbags with it. put those underneath what is going to be the cover side and you can build up a defensive position that's not going to give off a high signature right away. It's not going to be a slash in the earth. It would look like an impact crater from mortar round. Yes, Mark, I remember you talking about the Canadians being a Tory. And I talked to a few Western Canadians and they pretty much think they're pretty much in the same boat and they think the way we do. Oh yes. Are there any questions? What's that? Oh yeah, no, no, I'm going to correct my view. Understand this. I'm talking about the governmental types. The majority of the western provinces would like to become American states. Canada should be Canada, okay, as far as I'm concerned. But I have spoken to representatives from militia units in one place. There were 73 different unit commanders present at the meeting that was established. And this, of course, was for the western provinces. The second one, there were over 214 plus militia commanders present. They're very serious. Almost all of them are prior service. A lot of these people are multi-generational. They've got family members that are, you know, their, you know, grandsons and sons involved. most in many cases whole communities kinda like what you're seeing develop finally in Iowa with all this nonsense with the gun grabbing people are now put their foot down people organizing they're tired of the Fed coming in and raping killing pillaging and burning and not gonna let it happen anymore Canada's in the same situation but he shall understand the threat now there are other parts of Canada and that's why the Western Canadians kind of look at the East is kinda like a bunch of goofs which they should because that's where the core of the socialists are and they really come from specific parasitic pools big cesspool for soviets, you know, for socialists. And that particular lump of shicers are the same ones that give us problems here in Michigan. They give us problems in Pennsylvania, trying to bleed across the border. Remember, those are the groups we have to worry about, the operational areas. The western provinces and even like parts, well, most of Ontario, are allied territory. And then what did you go... Even though it's like in Florida, down where I live, I mean they think the federal government coming in and being partners is like, just like being just as good as sliced white bread. You go up in the northern Florida, in the Panhandle, people being a lot more different up there than they do down in the Peninsula area. Part of that is because again, you're near these different hubs where the socialists are heavily entrenched like ticks. You have Miami. And look what's happened with Miami, by the way. They did their internationalist BS. The socialists really got ahold of the place. And the whole county is going into the toilet. Every place where these socialists have taken over, it's the same routine over and over again. And what they do is they will do this. And then they're going to flee to the outlying areas. What happens is you've got this crest wave of parasites that will flee from the socialist domain that they've created. They'll keep going to the next neighborhood or the next county and what they will do is this though, they won't go, oh I made a mistake where I was. The exact same thing, where they go, they did where they ran from. you know in other words they'll keep peeling in the pool, excuse me, they'll keep urinating in the pool and they won't like the taste of it so what they'll do is they'll jump out of that pool, they'll run down to your pool, jump in it and start doing the same thing and it's like a bad puppy that doesn't have a brain, you know, brain to count on. That's the only way to describe it. Yeah, I mean, I mean, because like I say, Like you even said, these socialists are parasites. It's just like these people from New York City coming down here. They say all return a high taxes loss, but they come down and they import the same bull crap here. Exactly. George, let's go with the other cars. Alright, God bless Mark. Thank you George, bye bye. And of course we've got Darrell and Mark here. This is the Intel report, bottom of the hour break. It's weapons Wednesday, phased out, Mariah 340, warp range, boozy 9mm. When you put the not hurt to pass the little bit, it's like a road. You pack the road bed first, you put your blacktop on. Other than that, I guess we're ready to bring up Marcus, I believe. We're somewhere. We got you, go right ahead. Remember talking about, um... Yes. You've asked me before, the Kess Widener does have 100... Yes, exactly. Disception again. Yes. ...like 5mm. You're right, and there have been quite a few different guns available right now. Four of them at the... ...the Gekko, the Gekko. weapon. But anyway, I want to tell you is they found him got a Widener's for $10, $3.90. He's not bad at all guys. And if you have those flare gun, I would not wait. Let's clean them out. Everybody listening, if we can, let's move those on off the shelf because they need to be out. Of course, now if you're close, the most important thing is be able to drive and pick them up. First best choice. So if you guys can both the flares real quick, your main military dot com has the Polish model available. They're I think about $25 a unit which is a great price for those. The more you buy the cheaper they get by the way I think so the quantity price. But there are several, the Czech models, the Polish models, the German models. There are many different examples and those have great use especially to include disrupting night vision or improving overall battlefield illumination. If not in the air, the very only thing I can do is dump them behind the target. Yes, backlight and silhouette, they can't hide from that. They may try to move to the ground, but even moving to the ground, shadows tell all. And when they try to move or if they operate, their identifying point is easily pegged and you can return fire, saturating a target area with multiple fire team leaders or squad leaders and direct fire into the area in question to utilize that target and then move on to another. This is a good option here again. And give out their contact numbers or their address. Well, I think I'm going to tell you real quick. Go ahead. He says for the Widener's at ID. Go ahead and give their phone number and if they have any uh, if they have a website. Free Widener's dot ID E N Whiskey India Delta. You can take along those everybody paying attention that has something for field illumination might need something for the boat like we were talking about before. A star shell or a parachute player coming awfully handy for occurring the night in today and equalizing the battlefield. for the price of $3.90, eliminates the need for 20, 30, 40, or 50, or $100,000 worth of night vision. That is the truth, Mark. And by the way, we've experimented with these things with doers. These things are not a problem. The most recent test with the latest batches that you're talking about easily eliminate a 12, 14-acre field. Again, if all else fails, what I do, like I said, is put it with a design to burn longer behind a suspected target area. There are two things that can happen. Number one, you're gonna illuminate it. If you do start a fire, guess what? More light on the battlefield. I like the Germans from the rest of them, but they all are stoker. You can shoot 12 gauge flare in it, like Stan and, uh, Mark Gila that are those short... Of course, we would never do that. But, you know, it would be an option that in the future, as an emergency issue for national defense of course... Conscience, Peter... Well, thank you, Marcus. Anything else, Marcus? For God bless the republic and God bless y'all and give Nancy a hug. He's right around the corner, as a matter of fact. I'll do that. Now next we have, Darrell, we've got Dave from New York, we've got Dave from Texas after that. We got just a few more bring Dave up first from New York. Jump in there please. Dave from Texas, jump in there please. Oh yeah, okay guys, nice to talk to you. Good show. I wanted to tell you I've got one of the ferrets, does a very nice job. I would recommend if anybody was going to get one to definitely get anti-walk pins, trigger assembly on their AR lowers. very good and again this is all these are all options on accessing the parts or anything no you can get those are pretty widely available through uh... sources that that's their call their call the anti-walk and the republic probably a good idea for mostly are there any ways uh... we have heard shooting that fifty with that they are lower all the uh... percussion causes those pins start i wouldn't personally dedicate one lower setup you're going to need to put, they send you a hammer kit that you take out the typical AR hammer and you put in their hammer, things change. So it's not really something you can swap in and out really quickly. It takes a little bit of time. So just for a couple hundred extra bucks, you can hold up your own dedicated Marr. Exactly. And you want to take again, take a specific chosen firearm in the inventory and then start upgrading others progressively if you wish to. That way you can go back and forth as needed. But again, for a lot of the people out there that have the ARs, you're satisfied with the weapon. I hope I'll tell you what we're going to do. You stay right where you are. No, I just wanted to say that they, they do a real good job down there in Florida where they're made quite reliable. It just took a little bit of time. You have to be patient because they are probably have a lot of orders going on, but they, their service and workmanship is outstanding. Satisfied with your firearm? I am. I am indeed. It shoots very well. I got a little bit of a shorter barrel for ease of operation, but it's outstanding. And again, the big advantage there is you've got more than one weapon system with the same rifle if need be, but the 50. There are a wide range of AR lowers to another consideration. People are looking for, you know, there's some people that say, well, there's a certain AR-15 lowers or dogs. Okay. Well, there's an idea. Pick up one of those less expensive AR-15 lowers, build it up accordingly, and there's your 50 caliber lower. Usually you'll find them floating around at the show. you've saved your dollars there with regard to putting the lower together between that and several kits and of course then the add-on parts that are needed from ferret you know from the ferret kit you're ready to go otherwise you've been taken to any competitions yet oh no no no but perhaps in the future hey thanks a lot guys thank you Dave Devlin yeah the one thing about those gives a new meaning to reach out effective range for the individual wants to Just find out what kind of a Kentucky rifleman he is, you know, there with the old, owl-thumb on that old iron sight out there if you want to go that way. You got the money to cover the cost of ammo, guess what? You can actually practice a little bit with that firearm and come up with the personal accuracy across. You're comfortable with the firearm once you're more familiar with it. And you'll know where it hits and where it places, and that's critical because familiarity, of course, is the key to victim repetition. One of the techniques, by the way, that we recommend If you're using it in a fireteam configuration, as you certainly can use it as an individual shooter, to assign a weapon ammunition bearer. Now everybody in the squad should carry some .50 caliber ammo. This is a policy. One of the tricks to that is to take M16 mag pouches and fill each one, fill just one per person, with say 10 rounds, or 8 rounds, which you have. Typically, a 13-30 round mag pouch is the perfect depth of variations in cut. And remember there are some that are five instead of four rounders out, four mag pouch holders out there. But either way, whatever pouch you got, you divide the combat weight to support the 50 up just like you would an M60 or a mag 58er and he saw. In addition, you have a designated loader slash ammo bearer to assist the 50 caliber shooter. Why? Well, if you can take one task out of his cycle, whereas if all he's got to focus on is work the action. You drop the round in, the assistant does. The person reloads the rifle. He's focusing on the target. He doesn't have to think about another procedure. Now the loader slash ammo bearer is also spotter slash security. He can identify other threats. He can again focus on the local area because the shooter is stick sitting on extreme range. And because of that, he gets tunnel vision to a degree. Focusing with the battlefield into another realm, another area. where some people perceive it to be a non-thread environment to create and change the environmental conditions compared. Now I'm going to probably get stumped on this. As I recall, it was a 20-some pound. I think it's 22 to 24 pounds. Of course, it varies depending on barrel length. You can jump up to 27. And remember that the M60 weighed about 26, 27 pounds, depending upon which model you had. So we're not talking extreme. In fact, brought down in its lightest configuration, I think, 17 pounds. 100 grams of ammo. The equipment in like this, and again, a preferred situation is, kind of like if you're ever an airborne or a ranger unit, or if you're even working leg infantry, regular traditional leg infantry, everybody carried the supplemental ammunition in for the mortars. When they established a mortar station, they would drop the mortar rounds right there. We had an initial amount of ammunition to use. so they could allocate the ammo through, you know, specific. The 50 would work the same way, and what I would recommend is that whatever we say when replying, then using the entire pound of the shooter on the rifleman that carries the 50, by exhausting the ammunition carried by other people. And there's a reason, because it may be separated by distance and be impossible to reach under certain conditions. So, where the weapon, where you're at, you're not going to see your leisure, but where you have more control over the situation because of extreme range, utilize the supplies which are most likely to be separated from you first. Then again, there may also be a policy again, once you carry it into an area, but you're in a, what is a prescribed combat operation area for that weapon, you may have the whole team drop their ammunition with the shooter because he's serving a different task and the fire team and the squads are going on to, you know, missions that are assigned with the overall plan for activity. So there's a number of different ways that it can be incorporated or used, but distributing the weight is a common practice with regard to any kind of military operation. Everybody carries a belt of ammunition for the Browning or for the M60 or for the MAG-58, whatever it is, take a pick with a regular like the 223 saw. Everybody carries a, that's your base of fire weapon. Now the 50, even if you did have this, you still do it with a 50. Years ago, uh... there we have the the world war two of the marines carried the uh... fifty-five boys anything quite willing to go out of canal very satisfied with the performance of the of the weapon because there wasn't anything in that niche that the japanese had and he used it for a bunker busting for put rounds into a you know a nice tight target area and being able to reach farther with a heavier bullet that offered more penetration more to get more damage once it got into the soft shoe area so uh... we it's not like this is new But it's something that most people kind of lost track of because we got into other weapons systems or other firearms over a period of years. Fifties have been custom made for as long as .50 caliber Browning ammunition has been available. We were shooting fifties and the .70 was not the sport that it is today. And one gentleman that I know built over 608 Remington type block .50 caliber single shots. Several of our people have them and use them right now on a regular basis. But the newer weapons because of improved metallurgy, change design, understanding specific engineering advancements that they could take advantage of, what's changed is that the weapons have become lighter, more manageable for the shooter. Those will be abandoned. It's just that we have to apply the heavier weapons to specific missions because, well, I carried under any circumstances if I had to, I mean, we have. I've carried one of those many, many tens of miles in support of one of the 608 group. and the weapon function was very satisfied with its performance. The gunner was, I assisted the fire team during that particular standoff. We had those weapons push the bad guys back. They do have their application, they are useful. Your individual unit commander is a unique option. The time comes. Multifaceted, multi-purpose weapon systems. The first response option for the individual who's in charge of the fire team, the squad, battalion depends on what we're developing here that doesn't mean we don't have other heavier weapons but this is part of our integrated combined now David Darryl by the way is the shop open yet in the context if anybody wants to get hold of you over in the Pennsylvania area yeah they can give me a call at the code 814 or if they want to send me an email KW DWS MSN otherwise it'll be so again go ahead and give all the information one more time before we hear the music okay it's code 814 www.s.gov.
