Mark Koernke and Nancy discussed preparedness topics including food storage, field cooking methods (Dutch ovens, solar ovens, smokeless fires), and medical training. They announced upcoming militia training manuals available for purchase and discussed a traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial display coming to Michigan. The show featured extensive discussion of medical preparedness, including first aid certification, field medicine resources, and the story of 'Miracle George' who survived a burst appendix using colloidal silver. Callers provided information about the Rally for the Republic with Ron Paul scheduled for September 2nd in St. Paul, Minnesota, and discussed the importance of visiting the Vietnam Memorial to understand the human cost of war.
I had a dream the other night that, when I didn't understand, a figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, We've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free. and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number and traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. and your daughters visit doctors so their children will be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? Those sons of the Republic arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torch of freedom bright. As I awoke, he vanished in the midst of whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trampled each God-given right, we only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave, dill the land of the free? Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Intelligence Report here at WQTRN. This is Nancy Kornke, and of course we have with us John Betrucke. How you doing? All right, how about you? Yeah, well of course it's the, from all points of the compass here, north, south, east, and west. We've got troops on the ground all over the place. As a matter of fact, Mark is in Virginia today, or those of you who are wondering, what are you doing? Yeah, he's out and about, once again. You know, he really enjoys the outings and meeting with the different militia units around the nation. We have it. We are being buzzed right now. We got rotary wing six. It's a six wing, six wing single prop. You know who that is. Yeah, I'm sure they're listening in too. Yeah, they like to keep a close watch on us when we're out working the yard. It's been out working the yard all day. So they like to circle when we do that. You probably even go out and hang up the clothes or out circling. But that's kind of the way things go here. I do want to mention we've got two things here that we've got a third printing now of the books that we've got available folks. So those that I think I've got, I've got like 10 more to ship out. I've just shipped out a whole mess of them. I picked them up this afternoon with Ed's help. The PM 8-94, PM 10. the anti-armor handbook, and of course the Colonial Marine Militia rifle marksmanship. So I do have those there. I don't know if that has those on the site yet. So let me get out the information on that. The militia training manuals, the PM8-94, how to start and train, is $5 plus thank you for, you know, these are thank yous. Also $7 plus six stamps. the PM10 militia SOP. Let's see my armor. Oh goodness I have it over here. There's five dollars plus six dance and the rifle marksmanship is six dollars. And again that is a donation for LTR to kind of keep us up and things going here. Of course these are things that we do to make your life easier on your end so we're not trying to reinvent the wheel. and it keeps us from repeating ourselves over and over and over again. I am working on a food dehydration book, if you will, on how to dehydrate and how to use that using your food storage. I know there are other ones out there, but I do have Viggy Tapes, which are actually, there are a number of things out there. Dried You'll Like It is another really, really good one. But this is something I've been working on a while. I've just, With Mark behind the wire, so to speak, for so many years, I just was working two or three jobs, guys. Trying to get everything done as it was slow going. So the Kitchen Militia of Recipe book will be available soon. Probably in the next month or so. Everything, get all our illustrations and all the works, because I know I've had a lot of people ask some of the fun stuff you can do on the campfire out in the field. It's a clanker thing, but you know, that's why every business in that is right. I saw someone put a Dutch oven in the cole, elaborate on that. That's great. Actually, I picked up a two gallon, that's gonna hold two gallons just for making chili here, but cast iron, it's great because you can use it like an oven in and of itself. I sent that on the cole. You can bake cake, do bread, biscuits, really inside that Dutch oven. It does a beautiful job, kind of walling it off, if you will. On the coles or above the coles just a little bit, you can create of a regular oven. And it's wonderful. Wonderful. You can do so much. My goodness, everything from stews to soups, hanging it directly over the fire on a tripod, or if you've got three walls fold up full type oven on a grate just above those coals, it works wonderful. The other thing you can do is take it and set it on coals that are getting a little on the cooler side, not super hot. because you don't want to be burning the bottom. Yeah, you can do a lot there. The other thing I'm looking at right now, I want to experiment with, is the solar oven. Because I think those are very interesting. And again, if you're trying to cook in the field, if you've got a large number of people to cook for, and you need oven type situation, here's the way to heat without having to light a fire and send a smoke signal. if you know what I mean. And the other thing is learning how to make a fire without the smoke. Very, very important thing to do. So, you know, get out and press if you're going to be out and trying to. It might have been like three or four gallons. And by the way, it was done, there was, you know, probably we could have served like 40 or 60 people. Oh, there's like a big risk at the press. And you know, it's not something you'd want to carry around. But when you get into a garrison area, it's a quick way to cook. It's almost like a cauldron. It really is. When you're getting that big, yeah. I remember the one my grandfather had. And I don't think he didn't have electricity until my dad put electricity in 1963 into his house. And they still use that cauldron. And we're talking, you know, the three legs. And it probably held, oh gosh, it probably held, held like 10, 15 gallons. of water. I'll never forget that. I mean, we're talking backwards, backwards. Going to my grandfather's house and he lived in an old log cabin. Yeah, it was an adventure. I remember. Those Nancy and I use this as a different example. Say, well, I'm not really ready. I'm not really fit for time. I should have lived in the olden days. You know, you've got it easy. Right? Yeah. Let me tell you a story of when I know. Right. Oh, no. And she was dead in moments. Yeah, that burn, the burn is incredible. Oh my gosh. Buy from that will just, oh my goodness. But that was a common thing. Most people, you couldn't go down and buy soap, you made it. No, I remember my step-grandmother making soap. She would actually do washing, I think. She had it outside to keep the water out there and wash it close. She didn't want a washing machine. She didn't think it got things clean enough. That's what she would do. And to try to explain that to Mark when he first went down, south do the run through is like you're going to run into these areas where it's going to be like, okay, 17th century, really, for those that are stubborn and. Stubborn, that's just setting. Well, I don't want to pay, you know, Detroit Edison or whoever for, and be dependent upon them and have a bill come every month. I think my grandfather found really, really useful with electricity is the sensing of the cows. The cattle that he had and the pigs on the property. The pigs he didn't worry about so much, but the cattle, it helped a lot in keeping them in line and where he wanted them to be. So, you know, having running the electric fences, you know, for him that was okay, but you know, television, radio maybe, but you know, the rest of it, he had his oil lamps. You're used to, Nancy, you've been here. On time, granted, we didn't move here, having with the oil lamps. It was like 15 like a tank. I basically center the specimen in a t-shirt. 15 degrees outside. Yeah, it gets toasty warm. That's one big room you guys. 24 by 24, 15 degrees out. Yeah, I mean yeah, the one in my kitchen, it'll run you out of there. Easily, easily. Yeah, I actually put a fan in the dining room to circulate the heat out of there, draw it into the rest of the house. And then of course there's a corn burn in the front. So, you know, I don't think I have a bad regular central eating in 70 years now. The super food for you and your family. Hemp has nutritional values that far exceed any known plant. Right, if you choose not to volunteer aware that, you know, if you're in mid-South Michigan, it's travel, I guess. Right. I mean, this is fantastic. Do you know if it's going to be displayed anywhere else in Michigan here? I don't know. It was up here in Michigan places last year. This is the first year, Nancy. If you get a chance, go do that. Because I've never been to Washington. Don't force the air anytime soon. Yeah, that will be wonderful. I wish I had the time off to do that. Unfortunately, my weekend is already over for this week. Maybe we can find out where it's going next. Maybe it's moving more east in the... You know, we've got a little small town here. And that would make a really nice display right here in the middle of Dexter. And we've got this lovely monument park right downtown that would be perfect. You'd be amazed how big this is, Nancy. West of me here a while back. Big even the house. Because this is... it's like a city block. Oh, and it should fit in there, yeah, no question. Yeah, well it's kind of a triangular, you know, city block type thing, right in the center of town. But I'm kind of certain, you know, much like we have plans. Oh, they've got it booked, I'm sure. Oh, yes. I'm sure. I just got to find out where they're going to be. Maybe you could call up there and think that name is zero. And maybe, you know, if you think... Yeah, find out what their schedule is. It may be even on the website, you know, as far... Maybe not with Sparta, but they may have a website that you can go to to check and see what the schedule is for the tour that it's making around the country. Now there's someone that's planning. Somebody had to be planning it. Wasn't me. Not this night. Oh goodness. Well done. That's terrific. I can't... We want to get into medical support folks. That is one of the tasks I want to touch on tonight. and for medical support. We do have a number of medical units, doctors, nurses, medics. We have certified nurses assistants that are in the field with us folks. And it's a wonderful thing to have those doctors, some of them trauma surgeons that are with us. It's a great support to know that they're there. on you and telling you, hang in there, you can make it. Instead of looking at you and telling you, well, this is wrong with you, this is wrong with you, I'm going to fix it. Well, that's it. We've had, well, you remember George when George was here. He'd come in and he would just be in miserable pain and just like, and then of course, and then have scuff and do a quick examination. You go to the hospital tonight, that's it. or it will be game over. And, well, that was, gosh, you've been walking around. At that point, George had been walking around for about six, eight months with a burst of pin. About, you know, not even a low grade infection, if that's him. Well, again, this is why we call George Miracle George. And he was treating himself with herbs and minerals, the silver, and that's what kept him alive. Usually after two days, you got parestanitis and you're literally on your deathbed. Oh, he went, he refused. He went home, went to bed, got up, couldn't get out of bed. And his wife got him, got him to finally go to the doctor. They went in, they did exploratory surgery and they found it not only burst, but it actually dropped off in the back of, oh yeah, you tell me silver doesn't work. Let me tell you. That was, that was a miracle that he survived that. And then they had to drain him out and clean the entire abdominal cavity because it was It was awful. Oh no, no. But that's George. Oh goodness. At the bottom of the hour you guys, half of the first hour gone already. Nancy and myself. The doctor tells you to do something to it. That generally is a good idea. There's a reason why they call him Dr. Zorcher. Exactly. But we'll be right back you guys, the Intelligence Report. Me and Sia and myself, the intelligence report, you know how this works. Pokerface.com. Paul and the boys are working real hard. Pokerface.com. No, I like that lead in. I love that. WCRM, right? I'm Paul. Awesome. Oh goodness, speaking of which, I know I've got around here someplace. We do have an announcement that, goodness, where did it go? I know it's here. Upcoming next month. Um, same weekend as the Republic Convention, as the Ron Paul Liberty Rally in Minnesota. I remember the exact headache here and dog gone. It's moved it. Oh well, because they're all excited. They're all jazzed. Um, I have so many friends that are planning on going, not if I'm going to go out West in October. So, um, kind of a bummer that I can't do that, but, and that's, that's gonna be it. I think it's the last week, the last full week of, of, of September is when the convention is and it's going to be on at times hoping to get more people there instead of Marina than show up to the convention. And they've got some really great performers that are going to be there as well. I'm just really happy about that. To get, we need to send a message. We're tired of the nonsense that's been going on in Washington. But I started as a medical board. We were talking about George, Miracle George, we call him, George Matusik. I had a spore a long time. But some of the stuff that he did, I just had to scratch my head. And that was one of the times when I was like, well, he didn't want to listen. And his deafness almost killed himself. But the thing is, typically, if you're a pen expert, you better get to the hospital because you're going to wind up with paratonitis. because everything out of your stomach is dumping into your terminal cavity a good portion of it and that's dangerous especially that little appendix that holds everything that you've taken in that's poisonous to you and protects it there. So once that bursts it's just filling you with all kinds of poisons from arsenic through eating, swallowing the abscess seed that's been sprayed, a tree that's been sprayed and things of that nature. But one of the things that George did, he was taking silver and ionic silver. And if you've listened to this program, you've heard us talk about anneva, silver, and also about water outside. It's small enough, but that's what kept him going for that eight months. The only reason he survived the damn long. going in and having the surgery. I mean they went through and they had to clean the entire domicavity out, which is a real mess. And in the back wall they found the appendix where it actually fallen off. Oh yeah, he was in a whole lot of pain. They initially thought that he had what they called a fistula, where the colon kind of wraps over, you know, goes over top of it and creates a problem. They find that foul. that wasn't the case, they got in there and they figured that they were throwing there and straightening things out. And whoa, George is time and time again and the thing is to know, you know, even when you're in trouble, come on. If you hurt and it's not normal, guess what? You need to be evaluated. What you do from there, whether it's, whether you go to a naturopathic doctor or a regular medical doctor, that's a teacher choice. But don't put off. When you know you are in extreme pain, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to do that. You know, anybody, excuse the little common sense here folks, George was, had been put off by the medical community, but that's, you know, neither here nor there. When it comes to medical support, you need those, that backup system. What you can glean as a generalist is very important. If you have not gone and taken an American Red Cross first aid course, CPR course, if you can do so through your work, better yet, because generally, some more if you have that training there. And if you can get them to pay for the course, great. My first aid course, I was actually in sixth grade. The school, my teacher brought in an American Red Cross first aid trainer and trained our entire class, which was great. came in handy many, many times, and something that's a need to know. Anything along those lines also, you know, dealing with drownings, mouth to mouth, resuscitation, all this is important. You have that knowledge as a general working knowledge. As you progress on, there are several courses that are available for, as a field medic. and even into how to do an emergency tracheotomy, stitching someone up. There are courses available. If you have questions about that, we can put you in contact. I'm gonna have to dig the numbers up again. But the gentleman that did the Battlefield Medicine Series, that's something else that we do have here. It's a five-case series. That's four. I've got to do a fifth one. It's a wonderful series on field medicine. There are also books that missionaries have used for many, many years such as Where There Is No Dentist and Where There Is No Dosters. These are terrific things for diagnosing and treating minor, sorry, no open heart surgery and those books. But it's necessary to know how to care for those around you. And even if you're in an emergency situation on the road with a car accident, something of that nature, you need to know. That's just the way of life. The more knowledge you have, working knowledge, the better you are at able to help people. Generally, folks, I don't know about you, but me, if I can help, then I will. And those are important things to understand and know. One of the things you want to make sure is that before you treat someone, if they're not conscious, if there's someone that knows them, then to find out if they're allergic to something. That helps a whole lot because you don't want to be treating somebody with something that they're going to have an reflective reaction to. Not a good thing. Now they're reading, trying to help them, but are allergic to a very common and used in first aid. You need to be aware of that and on top of that. looking for the medical alert, bracelets, things of that nature for any long-term illnesses or allergies. Generally, you're listed on those. Be aware. And again, there's a number of different things that you can do to prepare yourself for those emergency situations, and those are some of the other things too. A lot of things that are online, such as the FM manual through the Army. actually go into the Army field manuals and access those online. Inside the Marines had just come out with a brand new chemical warfare manual on how to deal with that, the MVC training ban. Oh my gosh, it went from 40 pages to almost 400, very step by step and very, very exacting. procedures and how to follow through bit by bit. It was made where anybody could follow this step by step and not mess up on it. Wonderful. And again, it was available online going through the Yahoo search engine was able to get right to it. Very useful tool. While I hear the music, that means we are at our last break for this hour here on WTVRN. This is back with more of the intelligence reports after this break. Again, if you can be there, and this is a very short time away folks, we're looking about a week out at www.rallyfortherepublic.com. This is the Liberty Rally with Ron Paul in St. Paul. September 2nd. I tell you what, no, if I could be there, I would, but, getting the time off is going to be the question at this point, and it's too close to the holiday weekend. And if you're retailing, you know what it means? It's blacked out. You can't have that time off. So that's where I'm at. There was 3,000 tickets that were still left for the arena. Oh, really? It's 13,000. And on Friday, last Friday, there were still 3,000 tickets available. Wow. We're going fast and here we are, you know five days later. Yeah, that'd be too many tickets left Yeah, well, hey if you can get there go that is absolutely Phenomenal I am so happy. That's wonderful wonderful news. Oh, okay goosebumps and not because it's chilly. Oh goodness, that's, oh wow. That is terrific news. Thank you so much Dave. You're welcome. The other thing I wanted to touch too was with the wall. Folks, if you live anywhere near where that wall's at, they recommend you be there. I went to the wall a few years back. I ended up spending all day. Yeah, they list the names. Well, it gives you an idea. It's an awesome wall to actually go and see. The problem that bothers me is that six of my classmates' names are on that wall. One of my classmates' brother was on that wall also. And I hunted and I found all of them. Wow. Yeah, I tell you what. No, it's hard for people to fathom the number until they see it. And that's it. That's important to see and to know the cost in human lives. Not to mention, you know, the dollars spent in the production of that war. And to know that we're looking at the same thing. They're just kind of hiding the numbers from us. All you really have to do is go to your local VA hospital and survivors, survivors are going through. It's hellacious. We've got, we have the VA hospital here in Ann Arbor where a lot of constructive surgery is being done, or they should say reconstructive, for these young men that are coming back that have been hit by these bombs. It's been phenomenal. I know we helped raise money for one gentleman. It was a real inspiration, everybody else there, because he was the only one in his unit to have body armor on. And he heard the click in front of the rest of the squad. And half a space blown away, the eyeball right out of the spot, blind now in both eyes. They did a lot of reconstructive surgery. pulled muscles from the legs, the back, and abdomen to reconstruct. Well, his legs were messed up too, to reconstruct his legs so he could walk. They didn't think he'd ever walk. That was incredible. That was, he was here, Michigander, and had never seen his daughter. That was his big hole. He went through three eye surgeries. That's one of the little niches. And to put it lightly armored vehicle with body armor on, or explosion takes out the vehicle damages them to the point that body armor they live through it. As you said Nancy, coming home to the... You know what's amazing to me on the little computer even just the... Technology has come so far. We really, really do have people that are bionic, if you will, with today's technology. Being able to send the electrical impulses to the muscles. from the brain even connecting them electrically through wires. Hands like that. We're seeing hands like that now granted you know it's not the meonic man yet. With him a lot of what they did and he went through 53 surgeries and had 25 more to go the last time I talked. It's been a long haul. Many many years now. It's been four years. One of the things I've pointed out over time is you know many of the developer originally in their origin, the glasses, experimentation, innovation in order to never see that situation, to get that man to live through it. To make it where they can function again in society. Doc was one of those. I mean, Doc Robinson had a couple of pilots that landed and the flesh was being held on just hanging 16 hours in surgery. eight hours just cleaning the gravel out of the muscle and skin tissue. And he talks about that. It was incredible. The story he tells about that, to actually be able to reattach the muscles, didn't get him back in place, was a miracle. They had him as a doctor. As a matter of fact, they were gentlemen, the pilots were out of, out of, to Lansing and were lucky to have him. They kept coming back. To him, he said, no, you did this. This is, this is a miracle. in and of itself, you're going to finish work, we don't want to go to anybody else. And he had referred them to doctors in their own area. On this too, I got in my hand that I'd be valuable to let the public here know, or Don has brought up the issue of coming from military. Folks, there's one of the finest books out here on medicine for doing field, all sorts of field medicine. And it's the US Army Special Forces Medical Handbook. US Army Special Forces Medical Handbook and it's listed as S91B, 31, 91, excellent book, it's almost pocket sized, it's a little bit bigger, it's probably about, I'd say about 6 inches, 7 inches high by about 4.5 inches wide and a good inch. Yeah, and this is one of the things I was talking about. You can probably access it even online by doing a Yahoo search for that manual specifically and get it if you use the Yahoo search. Published by Sidel Press. Sidel, yeah. Yes, Sidel. C-I-T-D-A-C-I-T-A-D-E-L. Sidel, okay. Alright, and I believe that's the end of the program. However, Don, we do want to mention real quick how do people contact you about night vision. Quick, quick. Hey, give me a call. 2317-996-8458. I'll get that number out later in the day. Alright, hang on. This is the end of the first hour of the afternoon intelligence report here on WCDRN. Hang on. We'll be back after these messages for the second hour. Thank you, Nancy. God bless you. God bless the republic. Just with a new world order. We shall prevail, ladies and gentlemen. Stay tuned. We're here in St. W. P. I. M.
