Nancy Koernke and Mike Nasser hosted the second hour of the Intelligence Report, discussing military field manuals and training resources, including the Special Forces medical manual ST31-91B and militia field manuals available for purchase. They provided detailed information about a recent training meetup in Flagstaff, Arizona, covering topics such as map and compass navigation, NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) protection, communications, medical assessment, night movement, and machine gun operation. The show featured caller feedback on the Flagstaff training and announcements for upcoming events including the Rally for the Republic in Minneapolis (August 31-September 2) and the Jim Monahan antique engine show in Ann Arbor. The latter half focused on the physiology and techniques of night vision using natural eye adaptation, covering topics such as rod and cone cells, dark adaptation time, peripheral vision, and the night blind spot.
I had a dream the other night that, well, I didn't understand. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, we fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free. and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this the land of the free and home of the brave. You vie permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number and traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors, so they're children, all people. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores, and send your sons to slaughter, fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right. And pray to God to keep the torture freedom bright. As I awoke, he vanished in the midst for once he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now his fire and trample each God-given right. We only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave, dill the land of the free? Welcome. This is the second hour. And for those that are listening, we have folks that are on the north, east and west. We have messages for you tonight. So listen up, Mike. The last call that was, the last person we had called, that was Dave. And he gave a really good, the Special Forces manual for the medic field. I can't think of the exact name. But anyway, it's ST31-91B. And I can find these online by using Yahoo search. This is the field training manual for medical. And it's an excellent one. I've heard Mark talk about this before. But if you can get that again, that's ST31-91B. Generally through Yahoo, you can go right there and download it. You can print it right up on your own computer so you've got it right there. But you can also order it. And there's about a 5x7 format. It's a very, very useful tool to have. If you don't have one, the other thing too, you might be able to find it at local gun shows or access into commissaries and whatnot. It's a local basis. That's another backup there. But sometimes people have them laying around in yard sales and stuff. We always grab everyone we can get our hands on because they're very useful to us. Just a word on that. They do have an older version. It's about the standard size of a paperback book. And that's the more desirable one. There's a newer one that's, oh, I don't know, five by eight. It's got a white color on it. And it is a lot of... of the things about the primitive medicine, the veterinary stuff have been eliminated from the newer version. I would like to find the older version. It's much more packed, more useful information on there. Well, too, if you find it out at the yard sale and gun shows, you're probably going to find the older version. Again, this is the one that Dave gave the numbers out for SP31-91B. probably 91A. It's what you're looking for. Well, no, actually I have a copy of the 91B one and that's the smaller one. I think the same one goes by the same FM number. So just be careful of when you're purchasing this that you're getting appropriate. And kind of just as an announcement the other day when Mark and I were on Tuesday, we were covering up our staff meetup. We had put out a call. We wanted it attended. go ahead and call in and if there's anybody out there listening, then given an after action reviewer and evaluation of the training that was conducted up in Flagstaff a week ago, phone the call in telephone number is 512-1984-984. And we're trying to maybe, just the people that were participants in that and want to stay on point of those issues and stuff and we'll discuss some of the things that went on. Two, I wanted to mention, we did, we just came from the... Ed and I went over to the printer and picked up another printing of the manuals that we have here, the manual with militia. And that is PM8. Okay, we do have another stocking of that. That's $5 plus 6 amps and 10. which is the militia field manual of the standard operating procedure. The PM-8-94 is the how to start and train a militia unit. Again, that's $5 plus the game 10 is $7 plus six amps. And the Michigan Colonial Marine Militia Anti-Armor Handbook is $5 and six amps. I know Mark has talked about this on air many, many times. But this is, you're going to find this very useful. The Colonial Marine Militia Rifle Marksmanship and Data Book. If you're going to be out, if you want to keep track of your progress as a shooter and improve your marksmanship, this is a must. it will help you keep track of a physical log. Not, hey, I did better this time than this time. You know, that's one thing to say that, but another thing to actually document your progress. And that one, that's PM28. That's a Colonial Marine militia rifle marksmanship at $6 plus six cams. And any Any checks or money orders please make out to myself, Nancy, point key, K-O-E-R-N-K-E. And again, these are donations to help us keep up and running here, trying to pay the bills, keep on track here. And you send that to PBN PO Box 194, Dexter, Michigan 48130. Again, the address to ship it to is PBN PO Box. 1-9-4 Dexter, Michigan 48130. And again, any checks or money orders, make up to myself, Nancy Cornke, that's K-O. E, typically, Michael, who knows that how are things, you know, I know we had talked before about the training that went on out in Flagstaff. You had talked to Mark about that on air, and we want to, you know, these are things that are necessary. You know, go out and learn. And I know you were a little disappointed with the outcome, but it's like, you know, the people that are there can now go back and with note, perhaps, train the people in their unit. Even to have one person knowledgeable in a unit is a good thing. You had some rain, I understand, in a very area, but what else can you tell me? Yeah, it was, well, you know, all in all. It went well. Sometimes I can be pretty hard on myself and the exacting standards and things. But we covered a tremendous amount of information. The map and compass, we talked about the identification of topographic symbols, grid coordinates, magnetic azimuths, identification of terrain features. On NDC, we talked about the care, the inspection, the maintenance, the donning and adjusting and the sitting of your protective ass, the field sanitation, night vision techniques. And that's just with your eyes. That had nothing to do with night vision goggles and scoped interaction review. We taught how to do it and then actually carried them out. Communications, we covered the radios, the frequent antennas, the SHTF-CD, and the panels, the whole nine yards there. Assessment in the treatment, the movement, we covered formations and in arm signals and went out and actually was in an outdoor environment. We talked about the reconnaissance and and actually did it on the night movement. Just once in a lifetime stuff. When was the last time you got to have her fire a burning 1919 water-cooled machine gun in full auto? The challenge and password though, we talked about conducting training continuously. We did training samples about the task, the methods to train in a primitive environment. We didn't rely on computers and PowerPoint presentations and generators and electricity and associated elegy that can bog us down sometimes. It always seems to fail in opportune time. We tried to show this, that someone set it up and we can leave and not leave it of nothing, that there was ever anybody there. And also then we did the, with the binders and that was also an important part, even though that there were parts in there that we didn't get to mandatory so then people can take this information back home and we can call that homework they needed to do so. the training and they give them things to think about. And then especially on for NBC, one of the things that people were calling and they were wanting to know what to bring. We talked about their protective mask and the firearm. I specifically asked everybody you ever shot their firearm with the protective mask on and no one did. And that they were all familiar and actually engaged the target, not just talking about it in the classroom setting, but actually at the rear arm and demonstrated safety. at a target with the protective mask on. So it was very, very productive. Quite as one as much in our favor. We changed and I was advised that a lot of people were reaching their outer limit and a little bit of downtime. So we had an extended two hour lunch break for in down rain and it just didn't to the night. And then pretty much in the last day that we wanted to cover. Didn't get to because most people were striking their camp and trying to dry out some of their things. So the 80-20 rule, I guess we could call it, a tremendous amount of information. Well, you know that happens. But you know this is where if you were in a wartime study that rain, sorry folks, rain wouldn't stop it. you'd have to continue on and that's where you have to be prepared and you have to be really hardcore. We've got some hardcore groups up here that are about ready to do a similar training. Again, using the mask, getting out there and training with the mask, not just firing on the range, but actually doing maneuvers with mask on. And that's gonna be a real wake up call for a lot of folks. and I can guarantee that. Who sorry, we'll be doing that. We've had Dave up and they're planning on that actually the last weekend of this month. Well, as our music at their first break for the second hour, we'll be back with more from the intelligence support here on WTPRN and Liberty Tree Radio. the plaintiff or defendant in a lawsuit? The total phone number is 512. The other day when it was on Tuesday, Mark had asked, things about the night vision of maybe, I'm not sure, we can do it in about 17 minutes, one of these days, maybe not today, but maybe next Tuesday or tomorrow or so, we can discuss some of these things about general anatomy and physiology of the eye, the different types of vision, the authentic vision, the, the let you know that if an object is moving toward you or away from you or the overlapping contours and a few of the aspects, we all know these things. If you're looking through night vision and thinking about those things, is that someone or isn't it? And you're not consciously different as talking about as a checklist. There isn't this. We think about these as pieces of a puzzle. And the more pieces that we can put together, then the better the picture. of what we actually saw. And then you have to understand that especially in your nighttime conditions odds that are perceiving the black and the white and the gray and the shadows that it's going to go longer for you. There's a tendency because it is in the very back of your eye via centrailless and that's where the colors and they only at night we have a tendency to go, well what is that? And then you stare harder at it. What it does is bleach out and drift away and turn into a ghost image because your voice where the concentrated don't see that. And then we have to use off center vision where we're looking at it with our peripheral vision out of the corner of your eye if you will. And then you'll be able to. perceive these things properly and you're going to focus the image onto the rods where you perceive the black and white and gray two-dimensional. You're not going to have that three-dimensional that you'll have with your normal cones and color during your daylight viewing and things. And some of the other things we covered were the different types of just anatomy and physiology of the eye like the myopia and the hyperopia and the astigmatism and the radial carotidomy and things that can affect your vein and then we went into the anatomy and the other physiology of the eye and then your visual cue eyes and then we can explain these things at the bottom of the hour. That would be good because to eat a different level of night vision it's different for each person and there are some people that are absolutely night blind. And, you know, as you get older, those things have a tendency to get a little wealthier, shall we say. Especially if you're not used to using that night vision that is inherent within your own system. So that's something you might want to practice a little bit. Go outside and leave all the, you know, exterior lights off and let your eyes adjust. And look around. Get used to the shadows the play of shadows if you will in this oil last night We had full moon and moonlight in the shadows moving with the tree leaves. So, you know, it's a good practice Well, we'll be back on about an hour break here and the intelligence report on W TBR He's back after about three minutes Do the plaintiff or defendant in a lawsuit? Well, this is the Intelligence Report. I'm Nancy Cornke. We have, of course, with us, Michael Nasser. Mike, we were talking about night vision. And we're not talking about night vision goggles and optics, if you will tell, but rather what got built in for you to adjust and be able to visualize things at night with your own eyes. And some of the physiology that's behind that we were going to get into here. a little bit, dealing with the picture of the eye itself and how that worked. Yes. So basically we could call this the principles of night vision and night operation. Some of the things we're going to discuss are the types of vision and its limitations, its lenses, and the need to have five minutes for dark adaptation, techniques of off-center vision, still the need to avoid bright lights once dark adapted, the need to scan, and also the effects agents. Some of the things as a cautionary statement is what we're going to happen is if you don't use the proper techniques you're going to misjudge distances, you're going to miss objects by using the improper techniques, bodily injury or death. Be able to overcome the many tips created with the night operation. Just to get a few of the terms down here when we say depth perception that's going to give you your height and your distance. The QED that's going to give you your terrain features and obstacles. this and they may be just as preserved by XPS. That's where the lens, the object is in the stigmatism where people can either a horizontal or up on the side of the hill in the LPOP and watching out in the area. And then there was a telephone and on there and say the eyes couldn't one or the other. You would actually see the telephone poles, don't see the ziplines or vice versa. I'm not really going to go into all the minuses, but when you're eyes and things because they're reversing it. Now on the anatomy and the physiology of the eye and the very center back of the ovia. And then you'll have the parafovial area, rods and the cones. That's next to the fovea center. And then moving out in the periphery of the retina and shadows and things. And the road tops. and permits the cone cells to respond immediately to the visual stimuli ambient light maintain an extremely light sensitive chemical called the road ops and a lot of times it's referred to as visual vitamin A that you get from green vegetable that's your your milk your things like that in the in the rod cells that give us the black and white but it's extremely light if you're out in the field and you become dark adapted and was driving up the road with a on the eye because then that's going to present that eye and it's only going to be bleached out of one eye. And what happens is if this bleaches out then it's going to render the rods inactive to any stimulation. So we got to be very careful in our bright light exposure because it can it can bleach them in just a few seconds. The next thing and it usually will take an average time of about 30 to 45 minutes to reach full dark adaptation in a dark environment. The next step would be to swear the arms into the eye itself. Rods and cones, we have two eyes, and say they fill in those blanks for each corresponding eye. You don't really see that. One thing is on the table, turn on that, and then eventually as we get closer, the other object will disappear. The effects of the day blind spot. The next one is to talk about the both vision. bright light in the sauerkie that occurs in a full moonlight, reduced color and it's going to decrease the light and it's going to be a large and a cone. And when your scope is the night blind spot, you have to be confused with the day blind spot and it requires the use of peripheral and recognition of objects by their silhouettes and it involves straight about the night blind now when you see the corny happens is at night if we're looking at an object, there's a central out and then expand if we use our ground out of the corner of our eye, if you will. An example, the distances, the frying viewing techniques, look at an object to focus that on those cones, not be able to see some door handle as a 55 gallon drum at a thousand feet. You can lift objects as large as a tank and it's 3,000 magnifying angle of what you're actually missing and that kind of demonstrates the effects of your your knife bling. ability. The object is going to increase as the angular size of the object increases as the distance between the object and the viewer decreases. I hear the music coming in. We're going to be coming back. We're going to try to wrap this stuff up about the dark adaptation and night adaptation. And I've got a couple other things to say about red lenses and red goggles and all those things too. So, pencils down. We'll be right back. Thank you. of the 3 million plus edible food plants that grow on earth. Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen you're listening to the second hour of the intelligence report with Mark Florence, Nancy Cornice and Mike Messer. Today is 21st of August 2008. It's a Thursday. I understand we have three callers here. I'm going to ask the D20 you try to limit your calls to about three minutes so we can get all three of them in. We're going to go to Mike and Louisiana first. Come on up Mike. Hello boys and girls out there. I'm a little bit off topic, but while I was listening to you about 15 or 20 minutes ago, I got an incoming call and I flashed over to it. There, nobody, didn't sound like it wasn't a recording machine or anything, it was just there. The number on the caller ID was 503-579-9790. I called it back four times. I called it back. said, you know, this is not a non-working number. I'm just wondering if, for instance, I know about spoofing, I'm just wondering if anybody else who's listening, if something similar happened to them, pattern forming, I'm going to get out, y'all doing good work and I'm listening. Thank you, Mike. Thank you, Mike. I've had similar things happen, but generally the ones I call back on, they're telemarketers. to the Royal Pain because they'll use the automated system that won't kick in until you talk and then go on. But when you call it back, the number's not in service. Right, which you'll get. I've done that. Thank you so much, Mike. Okay. Let's go to our next caller, Dead Eye in Arizona. Come on up. Hello. You got your radio in the background, hon? Do you have your radio in the background? Please turn it down. You're getting a reproporation. No ma'am, I'm outside in my driveway. You're breaking up really bad here. I'm in the country and I have a poor connection. I'm trying to get through here. Is that better? Oh, much. Thank you. Okay, I just need to not move my head and it will be perfect. Okay, well, thank you so much. number one and I'll try to make this short and sweet and first of all I can thank everyone that came here and we all love you and I have the good Lord of Aparna to thank you. Okay, that cell phone is just not coming across. Okay. I'm not sure if we lost her, but the cell phones don't work real well over the radio folks. The transmission, some say, Jeff, as you've heard, break up something's yours. If at all possible, please use the landline, the hard line, because the transmission from the cell phones break up, as you heard, really bad. But from what I could tell she was saying, for those of you that are listening here is that she was very grateful for the training to Michael and to Elsie for all the work that they put into it and for the training that she was able to receive at the meetup, which is wonderful. And it's always good to hear that good information is given out and people are taking that to heart and have learned and hopefully will pass that information on to others in their groups. Absolutely. Let's get the last caller. We got plenty of time. Sean in California, come on up. Hello, Sean. Can you hear me? Hello? Yes, yes. Gotcha. Hey, my name is Sean, I'm from the Meetup. Hey, Sean, what did you... What were the best points that you... things that you thought were terrific when you were there? Oh, I guess if I had to... I think it would be great people there, the instructors. It means the information, of course, you know, the people out there, the... media community, you know, fun to be around those types of things. Yeah, I had a great time and I thought I was going to come in since I was in Dallas years ago, get back in the groove of, like I said, meeting the people out there, Mike, and experience is too bad. Yeah, I think you know if we know what's going to happen. And then, you know, this one thing I was talking with Mike, you know, you can plan on it and, you know, something happens in the last minute, somebody getting sick or whatever and having to cancel and that's a bonus, but the way these things go. You can plan on X amount of numbers, you know, confirm, but yeah, from what my experience you get half. So hey. talking about on the air tonight, but also about the stamina and what it is you're able to do. A lot of people don't realize, you know, until they get that mask on, how claustrophobic he gets. Especially for extended periods of time. To have to wear that mask for a half hour or more. And trying to get through the woods. Yeah, well I know the last weekend of this month here in Michigan that same kind of training they're gonna be doing shooting and they're also gonna be doing maneuvers in the woods with the mask on this is gonna be very interesting For sure Wow. Yeah. Yeah If there's anything I can suggest to anyone is if you have a folding having something that structure very good Mike you there Yes, I am say hi to you and you know, I had a great time and looking forward future endeavors space with you I've got your number I can give you a call Very good. The other thing that I would suggest, okay, you want to make this better. I don't know who all came with you last time, but everyone that came this time, drag a couple buddies along with you. They need the same experience. So again, the more people you bring with you, to get them into this, so they have the knowledge. Drag them along because it's got to happen. It's got to happen and that will triple your numbers right there. Unfortunately, this time I drug a couple people from California with friends in Texas. That'll be great. Yeah, Arizona, I understand there will be one in Oklahoma shortly. Was that the one that Alfie was talking about putting together again? Yeah, Alfie doing that and we're trying to see how many people can get to that because that's fairly centrally located here in the US. But that's, you know, for the essential. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I could just buddies and head out there. That would be awesome. Before I get off the phone here, I just wanted to say, hey, Ken, I'm going to send you an email. So check your email. I know you don't do it very often. Thank you, Shawn. and Sean, one last thing too, now that you're up to speed on all this, be expected to be plugged in as a trainer in the next one coming up in Oklahoma. And start practicing with your protective mask, because we're going to have some volleyball protective mask games going on here. He's going to show you how to really strain with that thing on. All right, folks. As always, God bless the Republic. Death to the New World Order. We shall prevail, ladies and gentlemen. We're on the march. They're on the run. So, day and night, we will succeed. Know that. God bless you, dear. Thank you, Mike. Say no sweat, Nancy. No sweat. As Confucius would say, to lead an untrained people for war is to throw them away. We've got to get that training going on. That's it. Thanks. Later. Bye-bye. The Bill of Rights protects every American's God-given right to keep and bear arms.
