On July 30, 2008, Mark Koernke's show featured discussions on Weapons Wednesday covering water purification methods for survival preparedness, including iodine tablets, boiling, and Berkey filters. The hosts discussed the David and Candy Oleson case, where David was convicted of owning a fully automatic firearm (allegedly a malfunction) and sentenced to 30 months; Gun Owners of America is helping Candy with mortgage and car payments while the case is appealed. The show promoted a beach party fundraiser with non-perishable food donations for the Oleson family. Hosts also discussed the M1 carbine paratrooper model as a reliable firearm option, the potential sale of Mossberg firearms company by heir Jim Moss, and detailed accounts of federal raids on the hosts' property, including confiscated items and damage to computer systems. The final segment addressed federal prison labor practices, sentencing disparities, and Michigan's prison overcrowding issues.
Le- I had a dream the other night that, well I didn't understand. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat and speaking low to me, he said, we fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free. and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. The tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. Invist the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm. And keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. and your daughters visit doctors so they're children all people. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? Oh, sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning as I awoke he'd vanished in the midst for once he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as pirates trampled each god-given right, we only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Dill the Land of the Free. 30th of July 2008, it's Weapons Wednesday. Yes, for those of you that are still with us on Liberty Tree Radio folks, the last hour we had with us, Larry Pratt, giving us an update on what's going on in Washington, D.C. As a matter of fact, the Oliphant really... things went actually pretty okay. I don't know if Ireland's sector was kind of... office metal or what, but he actually did something good from the change, which is good for everyone. And that was, you know, to basically just stop the, there was a bill placed that would do away with Philip. The inspector said, oh no, you don't want to do this. Because we'll be here well into August if you've ever been in D.C. in August. You know, that's a miserable time to be there, to see, you know, time. muggy and they all want to go home, they need to see their constituents and then all these guys are, you know, no wind up having to be in DC for this boat and not off campaigning. Yeah, for a lot of them it's a re-election time, huh? Yeah, it is. I'll be back in just a second. Go ahead, you guys and Sharon, I've got a little problem I have to take care of. Sure, go ahead, Mike. I was just going to say go ahead, Wendy. What have we got on the agenda today about Weapons Wednesday? This morning I kind of rambled on quite a bit about saying in mind that your mind is your primary one. That you need to have that function. What we need to do in the field and it's relatively small. And I got the impression that the quote unquote movement needs to be examined there prior. This weather especially, we do real well to survive in ourselves. You know, that's that's the thing and you will breed ever that in mind This is something if you've been in food service at all, you know this you've been taught this, you know anywhere between 40 and 140 degrees the danger zone go ahead and drink that water Not a smart idea if you've ever had a food-borne illness It's most um, you can get it from your water folks You can wind up with parasites all kinds of nasty things floating in that water or not what you want to do, you know, make sure that you have the ability to purify that water, be it the iodine tablet, iodine crystal, and the polar pack water. And that's basically that iodine crystals, and it will last a long, long, long time, that little bottle. You want to make sure if you do purchase the iodine crystals directly from your feed mill, that you use exactly as prescribed. And we do have the old Survival Guide magazines, survival magazines, there was an article in there. And I do have that up on our website, how to use the iron-end crystal to purify your water. And if you go down and you pick up a little two ounce bottle of those iron-end crystals, you can basically put together the same thing that you get in the polar pack. water-proof verification kit. What about dew-reak? What about grease and boiling water? Boiling water, it takes a while to get that water up to temperature if you're in the field. So where it has to boil for, I believe, 15 minutes, 15 seconds. You've got to boil 15 seconds before you can actually use it. But you've got to get it to the boiling point. And it's got to be a full rolling boil. tablets, you know, yeah, you've got a little funny taste, but better that than stick later on down the line. The other thing that you can use are the burkeys, and they do have a travel-size burkey or the cationine filters that take out a good 99.9% of things in the water that are going to harm you. It's going to end up in water that has chemicals in them. You need a pre-filter for that, and you have to be careful you know, whether it's oil, gas, whatever, make sure that the water you drink is not going to make you ill. Absolutely. It's kind of a domino effect because, you know, you get thirsty, you start getting dehydrated, you get a little sensitive, you say, with it, I'm going to drink the water, and then you get sick, drink, you're throwing whatever residual water was in the stomach, and then you're throwing off all your, you're even worse off than when you first started that there is a chlorine residual in the water, so it'll continue to kill. So you may test on Monday chlorinated and it may be fine but by the time rolls around the bacteria, the heat, whether it's a plastic or a metal container, there's quite a lot on. Whole another day about procurement. You said about using the weapon between your shoulders and your head. That's definitely the best weapon we can possibly use. I gotta tell you, I was really like... extremely pleased. We've got to be thankful for organizations like Gun Owners of America to these bad legislations that come down the pike and thanks out to them they get in there and stop it. So those that have been following the David Oleson, oh goodness, the trial that he went through, Candy, his wife, and now that he is in penitentiary. They're there in the fight to appeal this and she needs some help. She has three small children at home and needs help in the mortgage and the car payment. Go to gunowners.org and click on there. We have the Oliston Relief Fund where you can make a monthly donation or one time once some. Please do that. The other thing too is here at the We are going to have a party on the beach on Saturday. So be here and I'm going to, there's going to be entry cost folks to sign. It's going to be non-perishable foods. A gentleman, a friend of ours that is a trucker that goes through Wisconsin probably once a week so that we can get this to her and to her children so that she has a store of non-perishable foods to have on hand. If they weren't patriots in the past, I'm sure they will be, you know, once as it is, they are, you know, he was military, which is, you know, the whole deal with his firearms is just, you know, he lent it to a neighbor who then lent it to another neighbor who had it on the range. And the firing pens, I believe, initially they said that it was a malfunction and then later, oh, This guy has to be militia, therefore we are going to go gangbusters and we're going to charge him with owning a fully automatic. They did, they convicted him, I believe it's 30 months is the term, his sentence, that is being appealed. By the time he appeals to him, he will have served his time. That's basically about three years, almost three years. And he's got two children that are very young and that are going to school and they don't understand all this. It's a very sad situation. But if you can help Candy Olafson out, please go to GunOwners.org and make that donation either one time or, you know, do like 10 bucks a month. That would be very helpful to make sure that the mortgage is paid and the car is paid. And GunOwners are helping her with that so that she's not looking at taxes. problems later on down the line. You know how it is folks. They're very unfriendly. We will be back here on WTPRN and Liberty Tree Radio after this break. Hi neighbor. We all know that knowledge is power. We've tried to give you knowledge to help you prepare for rough times. There's the worldwide famine and our country's dependence on often dangerous food imports. You know about genetically poisoned food. Two-thirds of the food is disappearing with the bees along with huge crop failures from all-time record water shortages. You know they're turning food into fuel with corn ethanol plants. If we do not control our food, food will be used to control us. Food control has been the plan historically in every enslaved population and is the plan for America. The only value of the knowledge you have to take control of your food is if you choose to get a supply while you still have the freedom to choose. Call 800-409-5633 on the web, efoodsdirect.com. Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. You're listening to the second hour of the intelligence report. Today is the 30th of July 2008. It's a Wednesday. We have Wendy, Nancy, and Mike here on. We're just kind of kicking some things around here on weapons Wednesday. Nancy? We have Daryl also. So we have a full house. Being that this is Wednesday, let's get back to the about the lady you were talking about and her husband who just got... Candy Oleson. Candy and David Oleson. And again, that is the Oleson. To find that is to go to gunowners.com on your computer, bring it up, please. You know, they're asking for a monthly contribution, like, you know, five, ten, twenty, whatever you can afford. So that the mortgage and car payments are taken care of. I don't believe that this is complete. I don't believe this sentencing is completely done at this point. Just by what he was saying, I didn't get it, you know, they were talking possibly 30 months. But how could it be at the state penetrantry if they didn't have this? Because that would give us a better idea of how long she's going to need this. Because when you go through the appeals process, it can take years. By the time that you have served your term, you might get around to owners lawyers on the case now which is a public index stop under state law or under federal federal proposals over there and and actually the person he's talking about mr. Ross is the same person the same prosecutor well he's a busy boy yeah well one what there is one one little shed of brightness in that thing if he gets a 30 month sentence 15% off or good behavior not that he needs to serve any time for having just because they, uh, they fire malfunctioned and help the family out. No, it doesn't. Cause I, I'm, uh, I know what it's like to help that family. Um, you know, that's my thing too, with the, uh, this weekend party on the beach, there is an entry price this weekend and that is non perishable food. Bring it in. We'll box it up. Um, have our, have our trucker friend take it up and take it to Wisconsin later from Larry. It can be dropped off. you know, he can get in the area and give her a call and say, okay. I'm going to Saturday morning, Gabby and I are still put that out and we will try and make a collection here. Oh goodness, I was trying to find. Oh, yes, if you and Gabby are doing your show again, we love to have it on the LCR. You know what to do. We've had this before from the past. Yeah, we are. We play here because I tell you on Liberty Tree Radio, everybody loves your programming. Oh yeah? Yeah. Well, I hate to give away the secret and it's all what you call ad lib. There is no pre-programming to it. We pull up a story off the computer and then we go after it. And you have a lot of fun doing it too. Oh yeah. And the thing is that they're related into the programming and everybody enjoys it. Well, I'm hoping that when we get things rolling again and get these tapes flowing again that we can maintain that. That's all right, you know, because you have to left. If you don't have that release mechanism, you get just as it's dragged right down. Now that this is Weapons Wednesday, I want to remind people that you don't necessarily have to have a firearm to be able to have firearms. replacement spring for every type of spring in your firearm because they, as a gunsmith, have been speaking from 25 years of experience before. I hope we have a lot of people listening because I found something in a local newsletter from our local Dexter Mill that this is firearm-deleted folks. The gentleman's name, he goes by Jim Moss. Mossberg, that Mossberg of the Mossberg family, he is the next in line to inherit Mossberg's firearm. He stated in his newsletter this week, and let me quote this because I've got it right here in front of me. He intends to sell it. He intends to sell it. No interest whatsoever. What we need to do if he intends to sell it when he becomes the Patriot Movement means to try and figure out a way of putting a consortium together, the outstanding stock, to make sure it doesn't go to some foreign country who is liable to want to pull it out there. I don't think it's part. I think this is again, I think it's still privately owned and operated. So when it goes up for sale, let's have a side. We need to keep a close. Yeah, here we go. So air to Mossberg firearms company, when last his father's, the last of his father, uncle's retire, Jim gets so you know, where his heart's at. Jim doesn't hunt or even own a Mossberg told me years ago that he will sell the holdings and start a bowl. Yeah. for starving artists. They can go out there and create pieces of junk and call it art. The piece of junk art that's in front of the UN. Yeah. Well, they said, you know, that the thing is that they just deserve a hard time going in there and not saying. You know, I just make going there and it's like, okay, how much do you want for it? Yeah, you should Nancy. I'm curious. How much do you want for it because are millions of Americans that love the must of money? and it will be an excellent thing for everybody to get together and just purchase it. You know, I'll put it out there on the table for them because if you don't want it, guess what? I wouldn't mind that. Well, we're at the bottom of the hour already here. It does 30. We'll be back after about three minutes. Yeah, with more of the intelligence reports here on WTPR and the Liberty Tree Radio. survivalists. We have with us Mike Nasser, Darryl Sivak, and Wendy Langweaver. We've been discussing, well, it's Weapons Wednesday, so guess what we've been talking about? A little bit of everything, but firearms specifically, and about the release fund. You're going to go there, make your donation. You come here for the party on the beach, Markleby back all sun tanned for Burt. because he's kind of fair like I am. You get him to take his hat. He left his hat here, the goof. He's got a summer and nobody's willing but himself. At any rate, we were talking off air here. We talked about Mr. Mossberg. When I read this, I just wanted to go up there and slap the man. But he just think it's the Golden Egg. Yes, the Golden Egg. It continues to bring in the rest of your life and for your children's life. It's already been through three generations. Why do you want to give this up now? Especially when you have a third generation business that has continued to grow and why would you throw that away? I mean literally, I'm sorry, throwing out the baby with the bath water here. That's what he's doing. He's going to take cash and, oh, I'm going to go put it in here where it's going to be a constant drain on the income that could have been potential income for his family for generations to come. I mean this was a heritage, a legacy that was left him and he's gonna throw it away. That just blows my mind. But anyway, we were talking, Daryl you brought up a new firearm that's out there. A remake of an old one that I created. Paratrooper model, the M1 carbine is a very popular weapon for range cartridges about 200 yards. I remember right, going to be about 11 or 1200 dollars. And the test that this is really nice and those of you that have been listening for years, no, I had shoulder surgery and this is still very comfortable to shoot. Yeah. There's very little if any. It's nice. It's nice. I don't like something that's going to be bruised for a week. And the price, even though $1,200 speak sounds like a lot of money, that is comparable in price to what some of the in-line car beams from who we're going for. Right now, yeah. Yeah. It's not too far out of line. Well, to look like a cross-front AR-15, $1,500, is starting easily. This is a proven, reliable design that if you get it dirty, it still will work. The only real you do maintenance on it is if they follow the original good weapon for us girls, let me tell you. Right, and if you've got one that's got, you know, I don't know if they've included that in this one, but at least mine had the opening in the butt where the tools are, you know, cleaning. Yeah, in the buttstock. Yeah. Well, this being a paratrooper, it didn't have a hole in the buttstock to put the accessory parts in there. I don't know if it has a hollow grip that you could put parts up inside there, but still the idea is for any of these You know me I like everything in one neat little package. Is that one of the ones Nancy that they're supposed to give back to you I hope? No. I want to keep things nice and simple you know and and if it's mine they're gonna worry about me bringing it home. I want to get this over and done with. I want that close that chapter and well as I was explaining you know we have Everyone knows we had the rate on the house. Years ago, we had 120 days to file forfeiture claims on the file. They didn't do it. So they extended that time, went waiting on that. Once they finally did it, it's four and a half years later. By the time it got to court, the statute of limitations had already gone by. Even though they had made all these threats, they go, oh, we could have brought charges on this and this and this. And the lawyer just said, and he was like, Well, it's nice, but that's when the rotations ran out two and a half weeks ago. And the judge said, oh, done deal. Figure it out, but you're returning their stuff. There are things that they did not wish to return, which they are buying, which is fine, because there are things like, I'm telling you, that have to be done here. It's just how to keep some repairs, you know? Mark was away, and I am not a carpenter. I am not a builder. And there are repairs that need to be done here, maintenance, that have to be done. Cannot go another year. You know, we're going to have some real progress. Can't miss it, so. I'm on that because when I got the way it is, I can't. I can only do about 30, 40 minutes a day and then I'm done. Some items that were confiscated when they pulled the raid that were not listed on the inventory list. Uh-huh. Make sure certain things that were not on the inventory list were brought to the judge's attention. Well, you know... You're not returned, you're not returned, have their bill for them. Well, unfortunately, I did not find this out until after they had the nerve to lock me up and then these people pulled legal fevery. Right. Exactly. Exactly. They're specific items that they're not returned will be charged with that. I have to get, I will have to give my wife credit though, when the feds were going through the house. She made them put things back in the same place that they got them from. Not just throw it in any order, or just before she made them put it back. I had papers for legally registered weapons, and I had them in the center desk drawer. They did. You know, they didn't do it within my eyesight to stay in the living room, so everything made it upstairs. That kind of nonsense returned Ethan's television into his room, took them, you know, where they tried to get into his computer. Oh my goodness. Yeah, you know, trying to break his password so they could get in and it just locked the computer up and went on. It says when you try to do that with our stuff, we'll shut the modem down. But then you no longer have to do anything. Well, they took ads, and that was a big mistake. I don't think you've heard this story. When they took ads, when the FCC took ads, they took it into, I believe it was Ann Arbor, and hooked it up into their modem system, their Ethernet system. It shut them down for a few weeks. Good for it. Good for it. Good for it. I'll explain why later. But it's you know, it's where there's been well, I like grace for breakfast in the morning like a cereal. I'm sure you think I'm odd that way. But you know, I grew up eating hot grain cereal and races. Yeah, it's just another grain to me. I like it a little bit of milk and warm it up in the microwave and I'm ready to go. Yeah. you know, whatever non-perishable you want to do, whether it be, you know, prepackaged stuff or, you know, as Wendy was saying, rice, salt, any of the items that they could use in a non-perishable, you know, let me get into the perishable stuff I can use and why have it go to waste. The FRMs can use it how she needs to. I'll be getting back with Larry on that, a squirre, by the way. But we're going to do that. That's all there is to that. So that she has, you know, one less worry to you know, thing to worry about. You know, paying the mortgage and the car payment. Again, you go to gunorders.org, they try to make sure that that is taken care of. It's how, you know, if you want to go there and make a monthly donation, it's going to be probably 30 months is what he's saying. They get this overturned quickly, which is not likely, folks. You know, anything, once you start an action in the court, it generally takes a year for it to come to fruition. He was saying he's got all this You have to file a motion and that all has to go before the court. And in the meantime, the lawyers are going to be doing this, but he's still going to be sitting in prison until they're done. They get a say from the judge saying, hey, we have new evidence.
