What are we going to be covering today? Okay on first aid for humans. We're going to be covering Anaerobic that you know these last few weeks or so we know what else did we and quite a quite a few different things so maybe some of the The signs and symptoms, the disease process, the definition of anaerobic, I'll spell anaerobic, it's A-N-A-C. A lot of your data can be divided up into different categories. It usually means with air, it means without air. There's aggressive, there's gram, negative, oxy, there's spirochetes, the forming, non-spore forming and everything. one at a time, anaerobic common and there's a very type of infection that occurs in humans in aerobic infection, significant mortality rate. Now, a good treatment is going to depend on the early diagnosis and we all need to be aware of the characteristics of an identification of an organism that requires a reduced oxygen test. It cannot grow on solid media and in an environment of 10% CO2. I'll say that again. The definition of anaerobic is a microorganism that requires oxygen tension and it cannot grow solid media in an environment of 10% of CO2. And there's always a but and there's always exceptions. Now some anaerobes require the complete or almost complete absence of oxygen for survival. Some anaerobes like Clostridium perfengis or cholera-2-oxygen and I'll spell that Clostridium perfengis. C-L-E-E-R-I-N. Now usually we start after we've talking about certain categories and then we'll start abbreviating them. So instead of each time where we have the rasteridium, pringis, or clostridium, botulinus, or rasteridia defecile, then we'll just abbreviate it with C, then the second to identify it. The thing is to where abbreviate E. Colosceria Cola. Some of these organisms, a different category, but there's some kind of in a different category, a subdivision of it, these organisms that we'll call in either the presence or the absence of ECA, again, E-F-E-H-I-A. Again, this is in the separate category. So it's growing either the presence or the absence of air. The anaerobic bacteria, now they're an essential part of the body's normal form. Just an example, and the effect of E. coli, they're involved in the intestines. synthesis of vitamin K and the bacteria, they outnumber the E. coli by about a thousand to one. So we always hear about E. coli infections but we don't seem to hear about the other half of these types of infections. Now some of the bacteroid key that they'll protect against infection of salmonella and shigell previous word it's B-I-D-E-S. and then there's a space and then there's X-T. Bacteriolitis, O-I. Boy, these are real tough words. And I hear the music coming in, so it's going to save me. So you have to understand that some of these things are essential for our body. They're normally found in our body, and they're important, and they can also act for us to help fight off other types of infection. This is the Intel Report. We've got Mike and Mark and it's Friday. I know it's the end of the work week, but we've got a lot of things coming up here. Real quick reminder, safety on the range. Designate a range officer. You don't waddle out in front of the firing line because you think everything is secure. You have a straw boss on the range making sure that everything is secure. And you verbally give commands and you watch for physical acknowledgement and control of the arms. Remember that. Now, another thing real quick here. You know, Mike, you were talking about how many of these Different bugs that we are and we're talking about are actually naturally occurring and they're beneficial They're not just harmful, but what happens is we see imbalances that take place correct? That's absolutely correct. Well, Mike, you know, they have the surgery and after he's, while he's in recovery, these nurses come in and they ask him, you know, they're like being kind of sheepish. He can tell us that they're curious about something. And he goes, and finally the one woman goes, you know, I have to ask you, Mr. M, I'm going to think special before you came in today." And he looked at me and he goes, well, why do you ask? He goes, well, no, we really need to know because, you know, it was just something a little different. And he goes, well, why do you ask? She goes, well, you know, we did this. And she explained what it is that they do, of course, before surgery. And he goes, he kind of chock-o-m and he goes, and she goes, you know, you're the cleanest person we ever had come in for surgery. And he chuckled and he said, well as a matter of fact, you know, yeah, I used the Clodial Silver and you know, washed myself down completely before I, you know, came in. She goes, well, that's one of those things that the doctors don't want everybody to know about, but yeah, that's one of our best kept secrets. That actually was a really good idea. It actually made our job a lot easier. And everybody of course had a good laugh on that, but he made a point of sharing that with everybody else out there that he could. So again, when dealing with these viruses and these bacteria that again, are friendly to a degree, silver is one of the solutions, but you don't have to reinvent the wheel. There are already formulas and combinations of treatment for the process. I just want to point that out because Mike, you got a lot more to cover here. So jump right in, please. Well, kind of to touch on what you had just talked about, about knocking out the good ones, sometimes the colitis, and that's going to be caused by Clostridium difficile. So again, we can instead of having the right out Clostridium each time, we can just put LE and that Clostridium Bifecile is seen almost entirely or has been all, you know, these things are good, these things are bad. They help protect Almonella and Shigella. So, you know, we can't knock them out greatly. Obviously, they seem to be have something to do with the, to some of the types of infections commonly found or are the predominant pathogens are going to have brain abscess, photogenic meningitis, and that would, the meninges are the coverings over the brain and the spinal cord, so it would be an infection from them usually and that will enter the nose. And that can also be extra dural or subdural empyema. You can get chronic otitis media, dental and oral infections, bite infections either by animals or human beings, infectioning head and neck surgery, pneumonia secondary to obstructive process, and aspiration pneumonia. Say for instance that somebody vomits and then takes a breath and breathes in some of that, not only is you're going to have the strong stomach acids, but the bacteria that's in there, then that's going to start growing and give you from that. You can have also a bitus, that's a type of a blood clot, keratinitis, appendicitis, phrenic abscesses, that's S-U-B-R-E-N-C, abdominal abscesses, blowing bowel surgery or trauma, gas gangrene, forming cellulitis, necrotizing fasciitis, diabetic foot ulcers, and in osteomyelitis. And that's just the things that are available. Now your anaerobic bacteria, they do play a beneficial under certain circumstances. And they can also be pathogenic. You know, real quick, as it pointed out, a lot of these injuries actually would start out as Again, not injuries, but normal components of our digestive process or that are part of our body in its normal operation that if we have certain injuries, then of course they can actually create some of the problems which become extensive, infected injuries or infectious injuries. It's interesting to note that even with those kinds of injuries, all the patients can actually operate. Now some can be worse than others. You mentioned appendicitis and I know that a lot of people go, oh, that's... Well, it's lethal, you know, but usually we save people. No, we've got to warn people about this because they're going to have to be accurate in diagnosis, and especially in the future where there is no doctor, you're going to be having to become more competent. Appendicitis is a simple surgical procedure. However, if not properly diagnosed or if you fail to perform, It is a lethal process. Now there are exceptions. This is really, Mike, this is interesting. Again, a little sub-support story here. We had another friend using Claudio Silver. It's interesting that he would use the Silver as he had problems to deal with different injuries and such, but he started using the Silver because he had a little bit of a digestive problem. And he would go away. It would literally alleviate the plane completely, which of course is rather interesting. Well, it turns out one day he got really, really ill and went into the hospital. Turns out he had appendicitis for six months. Now you know the person with appendicitis doesn't last but typically days, okay? And it's interesting that it turned out when they did the surgery, literally the silver, now this is not meaning everybody needs to go out and do this because obviously we need to treat it before it becomes as bad, but literally the appendix had completely dissolved, it had rotted away. But the infection itself, the issue of the infection had been contained into the area where just the damaged tissue was. Normally we see that expand out to a number of other areas creating, like you said, peritonitis. You know, the appendicitis itself, the appendix, the response of that typically in the infection is quite extensive, etc. And that is something that needs to be, you know, is always a concern. Now, as a point in the future, with all of you who are listening or thinking, well, oh, the appendicitis, I'm going to give you an example. We have a gentleman who has taught many of our people his combat medics for decades now. He was a combat medic in World War II. Now, he's in his 80s, okay? But when he was in World War II, Mike, first thing they did when they got him out into the pacific is they walk him and nine other guys over they said uh... you guys all medics right you know like corpsman you know there's no army for the movie moon stretchers and you know help in the doctors with you know basically patching up and keeping people from leaking so the doctors could do all the work and they all said yes we are and so what he did if he goes uh... the doctor so i'm gonna show you some of this what we're going to do so anyway uh... So what happened is they took him into surgery. Here's this guy laying down and there's a whole bunch of people that are already prepped that are lined up beyond where he is in the medical tent. And in this particular medical tent, they said, okay, watch me. And the doctor, of course, had them all, you know, they scrubbed up. And what he did is he did an appendectomy right there in front of those 10 men. He said, everybody see what I did. And of course, they're all nodding. He was an excellent teacher. He said every step of the way he explained what they were doing. And they sewed up that patient as quick as could be, scuttled that guy out on the stretcher, and the next guy comes in. They put him up on the operating table, and this time he turns and he goes, you, come here. And the first guy in line that was there of these 10 students, he goes, now you're going to do it, and I'm going to show you how. and progressively all 10 of them were taught how to do appendectomies. No, they were not doctors. No, they weren't even doctors apprentices, okay, so to speak. They were corpsmen. Now, the reason they did this is because the corpsmen could take weight off the doctor so that the doctor could deal with men with half of their internal body parts missing, okay, or major damage that would tie up hours and hours and hours of that surgeon's hands. So for all of you listening, when we look at mass trauma cases, massive casualty cases, you have to start thinking this way that you're going to help to prepare our people when the time comes for dealing with the situation instead of just throwing your hands up in the air and going, oh Jesus, it can't be done. No, no, no, no, no. You grab people and you start recruiting them right away and you start teaching them right away. What the corpsman was doing, a regular man, so to speak, on the street, or in other words a regular grunt, he can be doing what the corpsman was doing to a degree. In this way you can handle the case load that you're going to be dealing with and it can be any number of incidents. See, I have a positive can-do attitude no matter how bad it gets simply because I know it's been done before. We're not reinventing the wheel. All we need to do is learn that it can be done. Okay? Now, with the, especially with appendectomies, and I'm not saying, boy, we're gonna march, gonna run out and do an appendectomy tonight. No, I don't plan on doing that. But, if we have the skilled labor in place, and we have a situation where we're gonna have a lot of people in one place, you're gonna have a volume of issues like this. And so, we're gonna have to be knowledgeable of the threat, and we can start working on it right now, which is why Mike's doing this program today, by the way. Anyway, I want to qualify that because, uh... all these injuries are things you may have to deal with as a combat medic uh... special forces medics uh... were taught uh... starting in the eighties they dropped the whole idea of medevac in because the choppers if the operation leaders deep behind the lines they're going to be able to get to the mayor defense and very nature of of air defense threat is such that the norris pain you rescue helicopter would cause just more So they started teaching special forces, uh, medics that they were going to once again, embrace the basic policy that they originally had been taught years ago to keep their personnel operationally alive for four or five, six, seven days without any additional surgical support other than what that man's carrying in his trauma bag, in his pack and in the bags that he carries as why we're giving this information. So Mike, jump in there, please. Let me get out of the way. Talking about the major deflation reduction of the anaerobes within the tissue. even in tissue, the teeth and the lungs of anaerobes and the growth of anaerobes. Ascular disease, epinephrine injection, edema, trauma, surgery, foreign body, malignancy, and gas production by microorganisms, and aerobic infections significantly increase your risk of predisposed tissue to anaerobic infection. Say that again. Skiller disease, epinephrine injection, edema, trauma, surgery, foreign bodies, malignancy, and gas production by microorganisms and aerobic infection. They'll significantly increase your risk. They'll predispose the tissue. The next step here is the toxins that are produced by some anaerobic, back anaerobic infection. for intoxication. That or the tox by ostridium tetani that we covered the other day that causes tetanus and clostridia julinum vitulism. Some toxins they may produce enzymes. An example of that would be the alpha toxin by ostridia profengis, that last word T-E-R-I-N-G-E-N-S. The pharyngeus is a potential, it's a hemolytic and it will cause anacrycizing.
