Summary
Mark Koernke and Mike discussed advanced ammunition and ballistics concepts, including discarding sabot technology for achieving high-velocity projectiles (5,300+ feet per second) from various firearms including AR-15s, AK-47s, and pistols like the Tokarev. They provided supplier contact information for sabot cups and reloading components. The second half of the program shifted to emergency medical preparedness, covering first aid for burns on animals (cooling techniques, avoiding ointments), chemical agent behavior and diffusion patterns (referencing FM 3-6 field manual), and carbon monoxide poisoning recognition and treatment including CPR and artificial respiration.

I had a dream the other night that, well, I didn't understand. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land is free. and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. Invist the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm. And keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. and your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and eat God given right. And pray to God to keep the torch of freedom bright. As I awoke, he vanished and missed for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trampled each God-given right, we only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave, dill the land of the free? on and behind the lines in occupied territories west, southwest, east. I, to our friends in, to include a marriagous little north of Anchorage, if I would understand now, and friends in Canada. Not too many friends in Canada because we're not really going that way. We're heading towards the rest of Alaska first, but we do have some listeners on the UltraNet Technologies system. and the vertical 14 and I-14 systems are on the listing. We want to do a test test on those. In addition, we also have some cool information here. We're going to have to do some spot checking on this. I just gave this to Mike a minute ago and I've talked about this before. Now, this is not Weapons Wednesday. In fact, Mike's going to be talking about medical support a little bit. But for those of you who have wondered about air defense, Consider this, the biggest problem with air defense with any weapon system used is flight time. From point to point, travel and velocity. The less lead time that you have to have, the more likely you're going to hit. Now, air defense policy with the United States Air Defense School is that you throw lots of junk up into the air, most of it doesn't hit, but you throw enough up that, well, you start to create cumulative damage. You slow down the target when you throw enough junk, and eventually more of your junk hits. Okay, but if you have a round that can do 5,300 feet per second then you have no flight retardation in other words It's like a laser gun within the range of that arm You're looking at being able to go point to point on target. The only thing better is laser defense We have some technology like that are on our side contrary to what everybody understands It's just that one or two of the old test lasers. I got one of these back in was a research laser out of the property control U of M and it will reach an indefinite distance but it's kind of like a muzzle-loading laser. The platform, the leveling stone weighs about 1100 pounds. Where it points at, it will burn, okay, so it's kind of cool and it's more like a, shall we say, a one-shot deal, really kind of fun, and can be used for air defense application or it could be used as a ground-to-ground point. I think I'd take advantage by using it from horizon to horizon, as they say. However, air defense concept. discarding sable principle. What you do is you're taking a discarding cup, a plastic cup, kind of like the discarding sable hourglass systems that we've been talking about for the shotgun. You have a discarding sable cup that fits say 30 caliber or 50 caliber. Now both of these will hold, for instance, the 30 caliber holds a 22 caliber standard projectile. What 22 caliber projectile would that be, Mike? That would be two two three five five six for me. Yeah, there we go. And what would be the standard? Let's see the earlier standard would be the 55 grain Sierra Boat Tail Solid, you know, projectile. Okay, solid jacketed projectile. In the 50 caliber, it's designed to have a 30 caliber cup that can hold a standard Sierra Boat Tail projectile. However, in both cases you can use a spitzer base, but you have to properly seat them in order to get stability. Now, the interesting thing about this is with a 50 caliber Browning barrel with a bolt gun or semi gun and using the discarding sable, we're looking at pressing 5,300 feet per second, but I'll tell you something. In the test that we did in the 90s with this sable cup, we were able to press 5,635 feet per second out of the muzzle, 15 feet past the muzzle. through the chronograph. Now, the only issue here is, well guys, when you're pressing those velocities, the first thing everybody's gonna say, man, you're heating that bullet up just with the air. You're right. And what happens, why you can't use a hollow point, why you can't use a soft point, is because the exposed lead would literally melt while it's passing through the air molecules. Literally, supercharged or heat. Now, even with an FMJ, a full metal jacket bullet, you still have the same issue. You have the same problems. However, let me point something out. Your discarding Sabo cup with a .50 caliber is what makes contact with the side of the barrel. So I take my, let's say I want to use, I want to make a new bullet for my Sabo cup. I take my standard, let's say, .170 grain or .156 grain or .158 grain Sierra Boat Tail projectile. too tight, whatever model I've decided to use, 30 out of 6 variant or 308 variant, excuse me, don't forgive me. I take it to my lathe, in fact I take it to my CNC machine and I program so that that projectile, that bullet, or mimic, front to rear but with a dark make it. Now the problem with making it sharp is I'm going to soften that up, that's going to get a little soft up front there when it travels the air because the little tip up front is going to be warm. Here's the thing, I have a solid C-Chromale penetrator. Now, I'm pushing it at 5,300 plus feet per second. When I pull the trigger, I don't care if I fly if it goes up and down range or if I point it straight in front of me, no matter what's in front of me, nothing that is humanly carried can stop it. Does everybody understand the application here? Let's see, Mike. Do you think that laminate Kevlar or threat level four or five would slow down a dart penetrator doing 5,000 feet per second? In fact, it'd be like a laser gun. All you'd hear is, and then, oh, plop, plop, plop. Now, think about that. Let's just use some math. Let's go back to the .30 caliber application. And by the way, how many of you have AK-47s? With a .30 caliber Sabo and utilizing a solid steel dart projectile that mimics the .55 grain Sierra Boat Tail Bullet. In other words, we don't have to change the design. And we don't have to worry about scrounging up 30, you know, like say, two to three bullets for our 30 caliber because we're going to make new ones. The SABO ensures that there's no wear and tear. In fact, these things offer no resistance to the barrel whatsoever. That's what helps to bring up the enhanced velocities while cupping and sealing the barrel, taking advantage of all of the energy of the case, just as a regular bullet would, not because of its extreme light weight accelerating that much faster. What can we do with these tools? Why many things, but again, for air defense application to ensure that your DART system, especially against an invading element that's decided to threaten our liberties, very quickly they cease to be a problem. Now let me give you some ideas here. You come up with all the other reloading solutions through high-tech company, high-tech reloading actually, or I was high-tech ammo, I'm sorry, high-tech ammo. They have powder and they have even cases if you need them. But there's other companies too. There's Midway, there's a whole bunch of other companies, Vitamins. You guys pick out where you want to go for the flavor of grass that you need and for whatever else you want to go with. But remember, the other cool thing about this, Mike, is you're not using as much... Wait a minute. That's right, you can actually come back on the scale, drop back on the scale, and still get these high performance range velocities. And what you want to do is test batches, depending on the length of barrel. Again, there's a whole math formula to this, so Mark's not going to go into detail on it, because you're going to have to discover this for yourself. Shorter barrels mean that you're limited, OK, and how much you're going to get out of that case. This is why I like going to longer barrels. Remember that for instance for you AR-15 men that are out there. Yeah, I know they got the M4BS and all that. I'm sorry, but I prefer a full length barrel and an AR. It's bad enough that we have the cartridge we have there. If I can, for the militia, you guys want to go with full length barrels. If you've got a shorter car barrel or whatever, stick with it. Don't go out and run and change it because Mark said to do that sell your old barrel. In fact, the beautiful thing about the AR-15, if you want to try and apply what I'm talking about right now, The wonderful thing about owning an AR-15 is all you gotta do is pop, pop two pins, take off that upper that's a CAR-15, you can put that longer barrel on there. Wow, look at that. You got yourself a standard rifle again. Isn't that fun? Now the thing is, don't go anything fancy. Re-type upper receiver, make sure it's got a forward assist. Yes, keep it simple stupid. Okay? The reason, we also want to keep your cost down. I don't want you spending a whole lot of goofy money on something you don't need. You need a basic system. It's got to be simple and reliable. Well, with these discarding SABOs, it's simple and reliable, and the reloading process is not that complicated at all. I've given you the solution with regard to projectiles so that you don't put a strain on your available bullet inventory. Go to your drill press. I'm sorry, forgive me. Go to your lathe. Go to your CNC machine and crank out a whole bunch of new projectiles. Then, weight them out, in other words spec them by weight, find out what they'll do, in other words what their range is, and then load accordingly. Test batches of five rounds, mark the cases with the varying powder charges, find out what is the optimal powder charge and the optimal load for your weapon. and then do lots of them. Okay. Now that we've laid the groundwork for the discarding sable concept, here are two contact numbers. That's right. There's a reason I brought this up. Pen and paper ready now. Number one, if they're still out there, and I'm pretty sure they are, and Mike, you're going to check on them for us if you can tomorrow, please. Yes, sir. JNS Supply Company. JNS Supply Company. Are you going to be one of the thousand striking at branches? Or are you going to be one of the few striking at the root of evil? G. Edward Griffin is definitely one of the few striking at the root and he is coming to UT. Mr. Griffin is the author of what many consider to be the expose on the shuttle reserve, the book entitled The Creature from Jekyll Island. Mr. Griffin is here to present A Methodist Time Has Come, Freedom Force International. Flair pistols are only and Remember, remember, the 60s of November. Again, that's 8-0-1-2-2-5-7-0-0-7. Now, I'll give you an idea what some of the people have experimented with. Tungsten carbide, 4140 chromoly steel, stainless. Now, another thing, Mike, that they've done, and this is another consideration, you either go spire point the way that we did originally with the, the government did with the standard M2AP round. How many of you ever pulled or recovered a penetrator from an AP 30 at 6 round? Have you, Mike, ever taken the time to look at it? Yes. I've gone down range a few times and seen them taking a portion below the little celllet in there. Razor sharp, aren't they? Yes. Now, you know what? Those things are so sharp and those things were so well case hardened that I know guys that have used them for little punches for steel for years. That's how high a quality, people don't understand the technology that went into our ammunition in World War II. I've covered this in whole programs with Frankfort Arsenal. If you want to check it out, there's three books that were done by a gentleman who did research on Frankfort Arsenal. The phenomenal technologies that were developed just for .30-06 and .50 caliber are amazing when you look at what people were able to do with just a little thought. and with, I guess, vast amounts of dollars at their disposal. But Frankfurt Arsenal's job was to do this kind of research, come up with better solutions, and come up with unique solutions to certain problems. Well, in this case, we're doing the same thing. So one of the points is that you don't have to go to an exact knife-ster point with this projectile. You could do what the Germans did with many of theirs, and what the Czech did with their 32 ACP, and go with a blunted conical. In other words, the way the bullet would normally come up and spire is as it should be. Then there's a bit of a second tear, like a barn roof, like a hip roof, where there's a second step in the bullet and it comes to a blunter angle to the front. This makes the point with the atmosphere denser material so it's less likely to become heated and malleable. Now, heated and malleable is not a problem because I'll give you a little hint at what happens with steel. When it makes contact, this has a tendency to become almost plasma, become a plasma, and works just as a discarding sable or dart round does with a tank round. What will happen is, as it makes contact, it actually lubricates itself. cracks the steel and penetrates through, rupturing the crystalline structure and separating. And if it does not penetrate, what it will do is create a massive kinetic charge that will create a spalled, that is of comparable size, halfway through or three quarters of the way through the steel, and the spalled will then break away in a pyramid conical and proceed at the same velocity as the projectile that impacted. Now, I don't know which I'd rather be hit with, that sable bullet going through in one piece, or this pyramid-shaped piece of metal traveling at the same velocity with jagged edges and an oblong shape, which means that when it hits you, it goes anywhere. You see how that works? Now, for anybody who wants to understand what I'm talking about, how many of you have ever been to a building or whether it's a school or a factory that's been shot where the windows have been shot with a BB? Have you ever noticed how small the impact area is on the outside? And how there's a conical larger like almost as a circular but pyramidal type breakaway? That's called, that's the spalled break right there. That material that was behind that BB when it's impacted, the crystalline structure of the glass just like the crystalline structure of the steel, fracture and then leave the main body at the same velocity or close enough you won't know the difference. We ain't going to chronograph it, okay? But it will have the same debilitating effect upon impact. So here again, an AP round or any type of solid shot round like this is desirable. By the way, another little place where this type of bullet would be found, of all places, large game projectiles, which typically were made out of solid bronze or made with a solid copper penetrator or in some cases a solid steel penetrator, with a small sheet of lead, copper jacket around the outside with the bronze bullets. In many cases, they were actually just a machined piece of solid bronze so that they were all, just like we're talking, a massive penetrator. Now, the big advantage also of this is that discarding stable cup leaves the projectile almost as quickly as it leaves the end of the barrel, which means that there's nothing really on the bullet that creates any obstructions. It actually keeps the bullet very clean. Think about what I mean by that. You do your own math, okay? These are ideas. These are alternate systems off the shelf. Not complicated, easy to do, easy for you to figure out. Now, here's another fun one. I'm gonna give one last point here, Mike. We'll get on with our with a medical here. If you have a Tokarev pistol and you buy a whole bunch of these 30 caliber Sabo cups, you take a fifth Fitzer base, solid projectile, FMJ, or we use solid if you want to. And then you reload your cellar below or whatever brass you've got that you can box or prime out. If you reload that, you literally have a Star Wars hand blaster. I like doing this with Broomhandle Mausers because a Broomhandle Mauser is an older weapon. By the way, it also looks like the weapon that Hollow used. Hey, now I'm down. And with a discarding Sabo, you can press the same velocities out of a 5 inch bolo barrel, or out of a Tokarev barrel, or a CZ-52, that you would get with that bullet out of an A-15. Think about that. Rifle velocities out of a hand cannon. Hmm, Mike, what would that be? Would that be almost like a poor man's light rifle? Something like that would be pretty concealable too. Yeah, and not only that but solid penetrator high velocity Hmm. Hey, that would be kind of nice now. It only has certain applications But here's the most important thing you can load the 30 Toker of round with a discarding Sabo cup and Use it and then switch right back to the standard ball ammunition without even blinking. Oh think about that automatic recoil, you've got, in other words, ejection and extractions, not a problem. You can reload and go to 30 caliber ball just as quickly, 7.62x25 Tokarev, and it'll work in your Tokarev pistol. It'll work in your CZ-52. But most important, for those of you who have those Chinese broom handle mousers, you know, you gotta have two of them to look cool. Anyway, you know, one on each hand. But the point is that you can have those loaded up with a very sophisticated high velocity round that will offer no increase in chamber pressure service end of the pistol. Low pressure, high velocity. Low pressure, high velocity. Real quick, this is the same principle for another weapon a lot of you, you know, see on a myriad of television documentaries about Vietnam and all the modern wars. Their 40 millimeter round goes in, punk. Okay, guess what? That's low pressure, high velocity. Very little charge. lots of homes when it goes downrange but that's a different story on the project and one we don't want to worry about we got other things to worry about take care of first those other things will take care of themselves when the time comes so hopefully I'm giving you some ideas a lot of you guys already have and I've gotten into the 30 Toker of pistols now you can see where you can go in other directions and why you want to reload If you've got a 30-toker of pistol, if you've got a 9mm or 45mm, you want to reload, guys, you can bring down your cost for shooting to one-third of what it is right now. But you've got to save your brass. Okay? Mike, we're at the bottom of the hour here. I'll tell you what. As soon as we come back, we're going to get into medical support. This is the Intel Report Live. It is Thursday. We've got Mike and Mark. We'll be back in three minutes and we the people. Radio Network. survivalists. Yes, good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Today is the 24th of April, 2008. It's the Thursday. You're listening to the intelligence report with Mark and Mike. Today we're going to kick off a little bit. We haven't visited here in a while and I'd like to cover on some of these things. This is from FM3-6 Field Behavior of NVC Agents. If you missed a few of our first programs, you can refer to the archives at wpprn.com. click on archive, scroll down to the Intel report and go to the 13th, 14th, the 18th of March 2008. And you can get some of the beginnings of it where we were talking about. What we're going to talk about now are vapor concentrations and diffusions. Now your agent concentration, that's going to be governed by the volume of the agent cloud continually expand, determine the downwind growth of the height and the width of the patient level. It must remain in the target area for definite period. Then the target area mixes the agent and distributes it over the target area after the re-attacking a ground target, high concentrations and coverage can best be achieved with low turbulence and calm winds when the agent is delivered to target. Wind drift over the target is best when the agent is delivered on the uplift other than these tend to produce lower concentrations and or less weather conditions are known within the target area, the effects of an agent on going to be a procs. The concentration and diffusion of a chemical agent cloud are also in fluidolysis, absorption, adsorption, lateral speed, drag effect. Now, hydrolysis is the process of the agent reacting with the water vapor and air. It does not influence clouds and oxidative hydrolysis is to. The hydrolysis can be an important for smokescreen. We might talk about it. The hydrolysis is the process of the agent being taken into the vegetation with a D, A, D, of a thin layer of agent 2 vegetation or other surfaces like view. Now this is important in dense and adenomical agents will kill. Cloud is released in the horizontal turbulence of a tendency to blow it from side to side. Side to side motion of the air is called meandering. While the agent cloud meanders, it also said that is lateral diffusion. Now in more of them, in the stations obviously, they're going to carry your chemical cloud along the ground with a rolling type of motion in velocity because wind speeds the ground to higher speed foundations above the ground. And then the drag effect by the ground together with the interference of vegetation and buildings and other objects. And this is going to cause the base of an agent cloud to be retarded as the clouds throughout in length. When clouds are released on the ground, the drag amount per cent of the vertical over a distance travelled over grass. land or water. It comes to about 20% over gently rolling terrain covered with bush and scattered timber. And in heavy woods, here about the wind speed, they can vary at different heights. It can also change with an increase in the height. Have you ever looked up in the sky at clouds? And the lower clouds will be moving in one direction, the air down where you're at is rolling in a different direction. You look at clouds that would be blowing in a third or a diffusion of your chemical agent. This is what we're going to refer to this with these wind speeds and things we're going to call this wind shear and because of the wind shear puff or a chemical cloud maybe in a direction different this wind and in addition to that a chemical cloud released in the air may be carried along and defused down may be uncontaminated or may be heavily contaminated. The slaring effect becomes more pronounced and increased before the cloud from the source. Small puff of agent cloud released from it earlier, autumn has been re-owned the weather bear clouds and the surrounding air. Now we've mentioned earlier that the temperature of both the cloud and the air influence them therefore lighter than cooler gas is in there. They'll rise quicker going to mix and attain the same temperature and approximately the same density surrounding air and they normally employ similar manner but everybody's confused with all If you're going to try to predict or if your commander is going to be employing the receiving end, they're definitely going to affect the employee heavy enough concentration of their chemical agents of where it's going to affect you. Or wind speed, if you're going to be employing it, you want it as calm as possible, maybe an hour or two before sunrise or an hour or two after sun depending on how close you are to a close humidity, a windy condition, a high temperature, these are really going to degrade. chemical agent real fast as where there was a lot of trees. In a forest, wind is hardly blowing, but if you look up above the tips of the trees, it will be swaying back and forth. So the agent can be laid into a lot of resistive blowing in. Also, the vegetation with that absorption and the absorption come down with droplets to the earth. Then the liquid droplets will start to turn into a And then if they go up and then they can gather the ground or if they're watching and then after the race can evaporate then you can have a continuous circular motion of the agent over and over again numerous times but I mind that over time the paper again is that's been less power about what we were talking about ideally remit recommend you go back to the archives thousand eight field behavior of NBC The other day on Tuesday we were discussing about burns on dogs and I hear the music coming in and when we get back this last segment we'll pick up where we took off and we were just talking about how to cool the area down on a suspected burn and the further first aid for that. So I thank you for listening. You can lay your pens down and we'll be right back. This is Steve Schenk, J. Michael Stevens Group. Let's get real. Flowers already being rationed. Attention We the People Radio Network listeners. It has been said that for every thousand hacking into branches of evil, there is one hacking at the root. If so, then without a doubt one of these very few is Mr. G. Edward Griffin. Author of many books, including The Creature from Jekyll Island, which many consider to be the expose on the Federal Reserve. Distinguished filmmaker, as well as founder of Freedom Force International, Mr. Griffin has dedicated the last 30 years of his life to exposing the power structure in our country, and around the world. This April you have a chance to come see Mr. Griffin in person, speak on the root of society's problems, and what you can do about it. So, come on out to UT campus on Tuesday, April 29th at 8pm, to Jester Room A121A, located at 21st and Speedway, for what's sure to be one of the most insightful lectures that PNAC has ever hosted. There will also be a book signing at Brave New Books after Mr. Griffin's lecture. For more information, please go to PNACitizen.org. Thank you. Also, a lot of this information crosses over to humans. The main thing is, is what we want to do to minimize a burn is to pull that heat out of there. It's gone down into the tissue and the heat is not just on the surface. So we want to try to rapidly cool it, that heat out of the fullness of the skin. As a reminder, do not apply any ointments, creams, butter, margarine. What it's going to do is cause an insulating layer and it's going to help hold heat in there. going to the broken leg and we're going to not put a splint on it, it's only going to get worse. Putting a splint on it isn't going to repair the bone, but it's going to be becoming a closed fracture to an open crack. No creams, no butter, no margarine, nothing like that. Caused by a chemical, remember to wear your rubbers. Your hands aren't burned. You can get those. And when you have to throw them away because they're contaminated, it's not like you were buying $20 gloves and that. And caused by biting an electrical or make absolutely sure the electric supply is cut off before touching the cord or the dog or the cat or the kid or whatever it is. And now to run in here, now if the skin is intact and burned by heat, it's going to be a first degree burn. We want to restrain the dog. We want to flush the affected area with cool water as soon as possible. If you're out in the field, you might just wet a cloth. That's going to help pull that. heat out of there. If it's a smaller dog, obviously you can do it in the sink. You don't have to have the water on full bigger dog. You might want to put them in the bathtub. And then again, you want to use a gentle stream or you can use it from a hose if you're outside or a shower attachment. Faster that you can see down the less damage that there's going to be around your house. You can use a cold compress to the area, a bag of frozen vegetables for 20 minutes against it. careful though is sometimes if we're going to put ice on it, what we need to do is wrap that ice into a plastic bag. What you're going to have is then you're going to start to get the opposite effects. The nice thing about using the frozen vegetables is the tendency to mold to the different areas of the skin instead of the body itself. After you've done this, then we want to cover it with a nonstick band. Now the bandage is going to protect on a change that will monitor the smell. And if it starts If the skin is intact and it's burned by chemicals, move any contaminated collar harnesses from the dog. And then we want to continue to flush in the area for a good 20 minutes. Make sure that when we're flush, it's not distributed farther or the rest of the coat is washed off and it doesn't burn any other part of the dog's body. So mild deter a shampoo to remove this. In the case of a known acid burn, we're going to use a mixture of one teaspoon, but the inside of the mouth is burned. on its side of the garden hose. And again, you don't have to have it on full blast. And it's going to be with a non-sticking bandage. And you might want to phone your skin as burnt as in a second or third degree burn. And again, we want to monitor for the signs and symptoms of shock and treat that by a clean, loose, dry dressing for the burn, avoiding using cotton or other loose, fiber material. They're going to stick torn sheets or other soft material around the burned area. We want to take the dog immediately to the bench and there's worth a pound of cure to reduce the risk of lie in the kitchen or hot liquid might actually accidentally be spilled over the dog's head and don't let your dog near the barbecue when it's hot. Keep your dog away when you're using dangerous chemicals like oven cleaners, poison drain cleaners between two and eight months old alone in the room without making sure that all electrical appliances like we got We've still got about four or five minutes here. We'll kick off with a little bit about we're switching gears here now folks. So carbon monoxide poisoning. It could occur as propane gas heaters and cookers or indoors, barbecued leek, the unventilated monoxide, the gas is odorless and colorless and it's heavier than air. So it'll seek a bottom. So if you have a house that has a basement, the dog's downstairs, barbecuing up out on the lawn. carbon monoxide and if you have a basement carbon monoxide gas that seeks the lowest level it can be going in through that window and accumulating chemical agent. Older cars without catalytic converters also emit carbon monoxide. Camping, never leave your dog in a tent with a propane. Don't put yourself in danger by trying to rescue a dog and make sure that you have fresh air to breathe. the questions that you might want to ask yourself if you're evaluating and you suspect carbon monoxide poisoning. You've all been exposed to a carbon monoxide. You want to give it immediate artificial respiration and definitely we're going to have to evacuate. Breathing, we want to endanger duration if the breathing is stopped and you're going to give it CPR if breathing in and the heart has exposed it. If the breathing resumes, contact your vet. continue the CPR on the way to getting immediate veterinary help. Now that's kind of the end of that, but just as a word to kind of help you understand about how carbon monoxide works. Inside your bloodstream we have these things that are called hemoglobin molecules and usually a hemoglobin molecule molecules of oxygen. So when it goes to your lungs, that's the carbon dioxide and then it absorbs the carbon or the oxygen molecules to take the muscles or your organs. And that's fine, and then there's an exchange of this. But when you get into a carbon monoxide environment, the molecule can only hold one carbon monoxide molecule. Then it is blood circulation. All your hemoglobin molecules are occupied by one carbon monoxide molecule. You continue to be away for the globin molecules to re-fuels, and all they do is just continue to circulate around your body. That's when people have and monoxide, they'll take them to the home, give them a blood transfusion, the molecules into your bloodstream, your body, the ability to circulate. Your hemoglobin molecules have bonded, release it, it's on there for less. So that's very important. Remember, I covered before about our NBC coverage, you can file an eighth, lay your hands on a copy of FM, behavior of NBC agents, how it may occur. A lot of times people are killed by the fear of the unknown. And if we can remove that fear of the unknown, or you can wake up in the morning and say, there ain't no way it's going to happen because it's dry and the wind is blowing and you're going to rest easier that day.
