Mark Koernke discussed firearms training, defensive shooting techniques, and Second Amendment rights on Weapons Wednesday. He covered proper handgun grip, trigger control, magazine changes, and the importance of repetitive training for automatic response under stress, using examples from military and competition shooting. Guest Larry Pratt from Gun Owners of America addressed the Heller Supreme Court case regarding DC's gun ban, the Veterans Disarmament Act, and concerns that gun control measures are part of a broader UN agenda to disarm the American population. Callers raised questions about background checks, state sovereignty, and campus carry rights, with discussion of Virginia Tech and the need for armed self-defense on college campuses.
I had a dream the other night that, well, I didn't understand. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free. and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. The tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. Invist the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On the land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. and your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? Oh, sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the supreme law of the land, preserve our great Republic in each God-given right, and pray to God to keep the torture freedom bright. As Iowoki vanished in the midst for whence he came, his words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now his parents trampled each god-given right. We only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave, dill the land of the free? One day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters both on and behind the lines in occupied territories south, southwest, east, and north. Ladies and gentlemen, you are listening to us on We The People Radio Network, wtprn.com. We're also on Liberty Tree Radio, dot 4mg.com, and we're on the AM&FM major stations. That's right, AM&FM micro stations. stations and what's that last one? Oh, alternate technologies east and west of the Mississippi and the bottom. Well, the lower archipelago. No, it's an archipelago. It's a peninsula? No, because Canada's to the side. Well, that lower end of Alaska, we got that covered now. Well, anyway, it might be, I guess, a freedom archipelago when you look at what's happened to poor Canada and the Soviets that are there. In this case, if we have the alternate up in Anchorage, want to say hi to everybody there and to all the new listeners that are attaching step by step through the Anchorage links, this is looking very good. And I think we do have some Canadians. I can't confirm that yet because I don't know for sure. If I do, I'll probably have some people I can say hi to pretty soon, but I do know that we probably have some Canadians that are kind of hooking up through the Anchorage connection. Congratulations there. Never know, might even have somebody heading towards the other half of the Bering Straits. We'll find out about that too. So, going to be a lot of fun as we expand the alternate. Most important is we're just completely offline from all of the bad guys' works. The one thing I've seen a lot of emails real quick, Don, And, uh, coming in we know there, your provider is watching you. Wait a minute guys, our big provider for all of the internet is one organization. And- The Pinnig Park, when it's just- Yeah, the Donut of Destruction, DOD. It's like, where the hell did this all come from? What do you think this- I know the men who built it, I mean literally built it, back when they were asking me, well Mark, I got 20% of the internet, what should I do with it? And I'm not exaggerating. 20% of the internet was owned by, I mean by him, and a handful of other people divvied it up. Because nobody knew what it was you know gonna be used for they weren't sure they had an idea But they made no you do with wheel well We can roll it sideways to squash more of these little creatures and make them creature pancakes to throw in the fire How about if we use the narrow end no no no that's crazy would roll and get away? Oh, hey, they're all and get away Hey, we can make that go faster and little ones couldn't get away. We would chase them down with the wheel mmm good idea the point is that uh... he owned twenty percent and of the internet and uh... progressively we sold junk that but he still owns a percentage and uh... what what percentage he actually does own literally uh... is uh... a comfortable situation to say the least anyway point is the alternate is the other solution just a reminder there well now another point today is it weapon is what if they pop up make sure pop pop and then as we move closer pop pop into the torso one more time just in case and by the way this ain't a horror movie we don't need to walk up and look at it if it's still twitching I say dump the rest of the mag then drop the magazine reload again and if you really feel uncomfortable seven more or eight more rounds wouldn't be a bad idea That's a basic policy. The idea is put it down, keep it down, and make sure it doesn't get back up to become a problem. I always hate these movies where after they've shot something, they only fire once. Have you ever noticed this, guys? They only fire once. And then one person, usually the poor bugger who's going to die, has to walk up and his hand gets really close and he touches the body. Why? I don't know because I think that's what they made. They'll see. Van Epps. a lot of other things I can think of to keep at least you at our point you stick to your point of doing okay but instead of course rather than using all those cool weapons that they spent the first half an hour showing you how they're playing with them and loading them and cleaning them and you know doing all kinds of cool things all of a sudden when the push comes to shove they all forget how to use what they got Well, instead, you know, the basic policy is if it's on the attack and the thing, whatever it is, with two legs, it's got, you know, beady eyes, looks like it wants to rape, kill, pillage and burn. You know what? Fire, fire, fire. And fire, fire, fire. And if you're still feeling really nervous, you'll be amazed. A friend of mine in one exchange went through, he had a Smith & Wesson Model 59. He remembers firing the first nine rounds. And then when he, when the engagement was stopped, he had of the, was it five loaded and fully loaded mags? He had one partial mag left in the weapon, the sixth mag down. And the rest of the rounds had simply disappeared. Oh, and down range. Yeah. And of course, now again, that's where we talk about breathing and control, but when the old, you know, when the energy is built up there and the adrenaline hits, you'd be amazed how fast you can operate. Time dilation reversal is typically the case. Most people experience first the reality what happens is everything appears to be working at a slower speed in reality you've all you've hyped up to what we call no response mode if not reaction mode and you start pulling you know start dumping around downrange with reckless abandon now that's where training comes in because repetition repetition repetition there's specific body response and reflex you know and reflex it takes place now let me give you an example Don you fired 50 caliber Yes, okay. Oh, and we have Larry Pratt waiting in the wings here for just a second. We're gonna touch on the end of this this this point repetition and training creates Consistency it becomes automatic response. You've seen this in the military. I'll be the first to tell you You ever watched a group of British Marines operating the bread and gun that guys you have a ballet drill of motion But so fast you can't see why are they doing that? So that under duress or stress or any type of reaction situation, what can happen is when it comes time to change the mag, it's not going to be, ooh, ooh, what do I do? The body just simply, the mind, the subconscious takes over, the mind goes through the motion, and before you know it, the weapon's back up online without even a hesitation. I can't even describe on the on the air watching them especially when they were prepared one of the most impressive scenes It was impressive. I don't care There were probably ended up shooting at the Brits because the Brits gonna be stupid enough to join all these other eats like the Canadians They're gonna be brought in to be used on America. We've had to fight them before I hate to say it guys I hope it doesn't happen But wish in one hand defecate in the other and see which one gets full first well despite that these guys actually in preparation around uh... one of the trip carriers headed in and as a demonstration i think it was close to twenty five marines using the three oh eight uh... bring down and it was as a group they were demonstrating the performance of the weapon loading and unloading of course should say loading and then reloading the weapon uh... from their kit and uh... it was past as i can i can't say it is fast it takes me longer to describe it that would for you to see it that's how how much of a blur and how effective their motion and how conditioned their motions were. Well while we talk about speed you guys and that's a crew served weapon, if you shoot a gun from a gun can operate? Oh yes. You can and then what results from that Mark? You may actually accept the sear in the process depending on the weapon. The 1911 amazingly enough is a Singer sewing machine it works flawlessly and will function within whatever the number of nanoseconds it takes for the action to actually go through its motion. But there is a pacing to the use of the arm that's critical. And if you've ever done competition shooting, I know again this is a little different story, but fight combat shooting is the same way. When you see speed shooters that dump five rounds in three seconds, okay, and hit every piece of steel they're aiming for within a tight group, There again, it's repetition and training. There's a pattern and there's actually a cycle, there's a mental cycle process that they go through with regard to the physical actions. Now they're all compressed into a very microscopic dot of time. But the reason they're so consistent is because of repetition in training, starting out at a lower speed and then accelerating through the process of trial and error. In other words, well, Actually, it's pacing as much as anything else. You accelerate the clock. That's the only way to describe it. In... tempo. Yeah, it's tempo. With a 1911 in competition shooting, I could easily dump five rounds in four seconds and still keep them all within a quarter inch group, a quarter, at 25 yards. Just clock it. Always be the straight. I've explained this before on the air and there's a reason. When you're using a handgun, you want to seat the weapon properly. And what happens is it's resting in the crux of the hand between the index finger and the thumb. The first round is where the weapon takes its set. Once the muscle tissue and everything is compressed to include cartilage and everything else, do not release your grip. Do not separate your hand from that weapon in any way, shape, or form. And if any actions are required, use the left hand. deal with any problems, okay, to deal with any corrections. Basically, once that weapon is seated and in place and the body is rested properly and now compressed, your response, purely automatic, will bring that weapon, screw it back down and into target, line up the sights, and more, it takes less time than I'm describing it, to screw the weapon back down into the proper slot, you're lining up the sights, your breathing is still controlled, It should all be basically after that third breath in you pull that part of it out and all that will happen automatically. By the time you get proficient, you better get used to it. It's the one thing it's hard to get people into but one of the things the other things about left-handed shooting with the the non the least powerful hand. Number one is you're gonna get older. Okay, let's point this out. You're doing everything with one side of your body. Okay? Your wrists are going to get tired. I'm just going to go through what is natural as you get older. Your wrists are going to get tired. You're going to see your elbows start to work on you a little bit. You may have some tendinitis issues. You may have carpal tunnel problems. Part of this depends on the type of shooter. There's a lot of men who have shot heavy magnums most of their lives. And what happens is they have to start adding hand supports, back of the wrist support, compressing the channels of the tendons. Also to help support the cartilage depending on the impact to the to the knuckles and to the wrist So there's a lot of consideration here with why what I've talked about before important is hitting the target accurately and repeatedly Over trying to throw the heaviest round downrange that doesn't mean I won't do that I have menos a specific policy if I had for instance a door or an area that I have to clear or control I'm going to use a more powerful round to ensure that if anything is an obstacle in the process, it's not going to interfere with getting to the soft, chewy parts. That's just a basic policy. But there again, special application for special ammunition. Otherwise, conventional munitions consistent in load will offer accuracy and volume fire, which is what you're looking at. If you're going to have volume fire, make sure it's accurate too. We'll be back in a minute. We've got Larry Pratt coming up with us. Intel Report, Weapons Wednesday. Most analysts and pundits agree that a preemptive and possibly a nuclear attack on Iran will take place within the next several weeks. This must be stopped. With the majority of Americans and peoples of the world against another major war, the need for a new 9-11 or a Gulf of Tonkin exists and may be executed by the military industrial complex. I'll say it was my gun when Larry Pratt goes in there to buy a gun, a second gun, and turned up in a crime, the one that had been stolen from me or that I'd sold, they won't sell me a gun. Now if that were a universal policy at all retail stores, there'd be a lot of people that would be paying for the sins of other people by not being able to buy a gun. Well, exactly right. Jake here blamed somebody besides Let's think back on this. I'm given a choice opportunity to who's going to be getting ticket or your unpaid parking ticket is not selling you a gun. Who ain't going to get you a gun? Because that's not be able to buy guns because of extraneous, shall we say, appropriate data you can vouch for, but I'm research on this yet. But I'm also decided to echo chamber with eCheck, a emergency department, computers to work. working better when there were different governors. The fact that it's unconstitutional is to keep a record of or in any way infringe on our ability to keep and bear arms. These are some of the practical in which the government is over time pulling our chain, get privileged that we have a gun government that I'm buying a gun. I 468, look at what they got in the Sears catalog. I think I'll get me that AR-15 and have it sent right to my house. or I'm going to be out of town, so I'll have it sent to my office. That's the way it ought to be. That direction, we're our own worst enemy. We're piling on one little increment more of gun control every so often. And of course, what they did to veterans with what we've called the Veterans Disarmament Act, putting so they can't buy a gun on the basis of just a background check, in my opinion, as bad as it is, and in the English-speaking world, due process, their right to keep and bear arms on somebody's opinion and you don't get a chance to rebut it, now you can with the way they've written the law. Now you can go into court before you before some guy is not a real judge, 95% of the time you can appeal. A dude was adopted to satisfy the NRA so that they would be with a measure. It could be done without the instant background check. And this too was brought in much in the same way as the Veterans Disarmament Bill as far as how it was slid through. In fact, every one of these have been a betrayal. and I'll, you don't have to say it Larry, I'll say it because I've been saying it to everybody by the NRA against the American people but against the rank and file because the people didn't know until after the fact and then some people are now trying to make excuses, doesn't do me, it doesn't do anybody any good. You know, it's all a lie. But we've also got questions for Joe. Let's just bring up Joe from Virginia. Thank you, McCall. I've got a question concerning gun owners' participation in the Heller case and the amicus brief that was filed. My primary question is, and hopefully you can answer it, that the people being violated, of course, But there's a lot of people saying that in the background that you know this decision should only pertain to DC Not to the 50s, you know They're a territory versus a statewide the second amendment of the people in the 50 states. So I'm wondering if likely to happen handgun violates these of US citizens as intended members of the 14th Amendment in their debate we have record of Intended be able to have guns and wouldn't be subject to gun control laws that were targeting them Okay, that tells me a lot. My concern was that the Supreme Court would deal with one hand and take away with the other. That's the immediate problem. You're spot on. We're very concerned that they're going to say, in so many words, you have an individual right to take. We went back to the Century Dictionary and took the definition of infringe and put it in our brief. The same thing today that it meant then. keep your hands off. Thank you very much. Thank you. No Texas is out there somewhere. So the union. By the way, I have you brought up what antenna did regard DC gun ban case and Montana didn't say but they did something that I would like him to a shot at with a good ship Supreme Court. The Democrat controlled legislature of Montana overwhelming the governor signed it even though a non binding resolution on because they Court that Montana joined the Union and afraid they all questioned the continuing validity. Well again, much like what happened with Oklahoma with the anti-UN resolution that they passed in 1990, stipulating the same way that in the event there would be an attempt to surrender the sovereignty of the United States to the United Nations, the state of Oklahoma would have no choice but to secede from the Union. And this whole thing with the firearms grabs in the first place is purely from the United Nations agenda across the board. Absolutely. There's no doubt, and my problem is this, and we always ask the same question, what is it that they have planned because it is nothing good, but what is it that they feel is so wicked, so wretched, so dangerous that they know the American people would not put up with it and their first agenda is to try and get the boobies and idiots do the bobblehead suck up to hand their weapons over because that's not going to be us. I'm not handing anything over. Nobody else is that I know of. Everybody's pretty well agreed. Buy more and make sure you got enough ammo to feed it. What is it that they have planned and what is it we've seen historically when a nation distrust its people in this way? It's because they have nothing but ill intent. They are wicked of mind and they plan on doing harm to the people. You have John Lottenecker that couldn't even couldn't even have meetings, couldn't have guns. You're the first to hear guns finally come out for gun control. Hit the target. And secondly, if you don't have something with which to hit the target, or if you do but it's not working, we're going to find you just like colonial America would have. That's right. You have gun control maybe at a university audience, Washington, great defender of the Second Amendment, at the Ratifying Convention, and so forth. At the time, the transitioning their governments from under the oppressive tyranny of the crown that was trying to, at the same time, the militias, from under their own colonial verdant by the crown, the people had regulated militia, back in amendment, that the militia was the embodiment of the power of the people. Sovereignty, Urah. Well here again now that's one of the one of the issues and again why would they be wanting disarm because they have some issue or agenda in the on the horizon that they get called a coup d'etat when you take over the sovereign that's a coup d'etat that's right the people who are the employers that we are trying to show you stuff well I'll tell you what stay right where you are Larry we are going to break back in a minute. Hi neighbor. We all know that knowledge is power. We've tried to give you knowledge to help you prepare for rough times. There's the worldwide famine and our country's dependence on often dangerous food imports. You know about genetically poisoned food. Two-thirds of the food is disappearing with the bees along with huge crop failures from all-time record water shortages. You know they're turning food into fuel with corn ethanol plants. If we do not control our food, food will be used to control us. Food control has been the plan historically in every enslaved population and is the plan for America. The only value of the knowledge you have to take control of your food is if you choose to get a supply while you still have the freedom to choose. Call 800-409-5633 on the web efoodsdirect.com. Nice fits all solution for every problem known to man. It's given me power. And to do that, the only option they have is to try and take that seems to, they can figure that much out that even though they've been educated in government schools, they seem to have gotten that part Well, I think one of the interesting things too, as far as the problem they're having now, is we're seeing a lot of young people respond effectively. The next cycle is being taught right now. A lot of them are listening right now, which is really cool. Plus, we do have a lot of people listening around the world. You know, second, I don't know if it's around the world, but I have got honors of America that support in the Second Amendment, encouraging that somehow indoctrination system in the face of really a Stalin-esque a week ago the editor in the campus paper professor and when she did not this way i knew what was going to have the right to freely ascend people coming onto our campus and advocating that guns be brought on the campus. Sturt would like a gun there if she was down there at Virginia Tech. Well actually my logic would be is to you know people like that should be wearing some kind of identifier and that way if anything ever happens you will know to step aside and let the assailant do whatever he wants. Actually I think the best one would be a red coat because they seem to think like the crayon. The blood wouldn't be as noticeable if we were getting the wear red. Hey, you know, they're a little messy. But you know, you're talking about at Virginia Tech, they had been shot four times that day, a year ago, right there on the grounds of the state Capitol. One of our guys said, you're so paranoid, you think you need a gun? And it was shot four times! You mean you just need a gun at college? You don't need to fire him on colleges, that's really where you need him. College campus would be your best best best best, just to make sure you, except where he is. Now anything happens again? Like I said, I don't know that I'd even be helping with first aid in a situation like that. I don't know what he might have in the way of diseases. And since he felt, I think it's more of those, you know, active God things, though obviously it isn't, since he agrees and believes that, well, my goodness, we shouldn't be interfering, who am I to interfere with fate? If you ever heard the old story, I know we were very close to the top of the hour. There was an old, it's a joke, but it's an old joke. There was the Baptist and there was the Quaker, I'm sorry, it was the Baptist and the Pilgrim. And every Sunday they would come into town and they would worship. Well, the Pilgrim came in with his musket, with his matchlock every day. And he always had it active and he was ready to fight. Well, one day the Baptist looked at him and said, why do you carry that? If the Indian is going to kill you, it's fate. It's bound to happen. That's the day it's going to happen. And he goes, why do you carry that right? Because you Puritans believe in predestination, though. Well, he turned around and he says, well, I carry this rifle just in case some Indian needs to meet his fate. Just in the dying part. You know, whoever you are, bottom line is, well, once the fight's over, we'll figure out whose fate's to be settled here. Another good answer would have been, just in case an Indian tries to kill you, my friend. No, no, I might hold off on that one now. One less there that we gotta worry about. Well, I think I'd save the Baptist. I'm not sure about that goofball of tech. That's right. Larry, thank you for coming up. Thank you. Thanks for the good, as always. Okay, well please come back wherever you can. Thank you, little. Okay, well as always, God bless the Republic. Death to the new world order. We shall prevail, ladies and gentlemen. The Empire is on the run. We are on the march, both day and night. Six bad hits, chasing down a road, give them a backpack full of rocks, let them swim halfway back to the spiders. Hmm, the sharks will feed well. Yeah, but we don't need that generation. Ah, yuck. Black oily meat. Very bad aftertaste. Ah, lawyers in there too. Yuck. Do you think the sharks will eat the lawyers or will they go and offer that professional courtesy? Professional courtesy first. Thank you, Don. God bless you, Mark. The Bill of Rights protects every American's God-given right to keep and bear arms.
