Summary
Mark Koernke and guest Mike discussed firearms and preparedness on this Friday episode. The first hour focused extensively on rifle specifications and modifications, including detailed technical discussions about the M1A, M14, AR-15 carbine, SEGA .308 rifle, and FAL variants, with caller Marcus from Georgia sharing his experience with the SEGA platform and magazine solutions. The second hour shifted to veterinary first aid for dogs, covering tick removal, bleeding management for various injuries (paws, ears, nose, arteries), and treatment protocols for shock, fractures, and chest trauma, with the hosts noting that many techniques apply to human first aid as well.

I had a dream the other night that, well, I didn't understand. A figure walked him through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat and, speaking low to me, he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free. and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. and your daughters visit doctors so their children will be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? Those sons of the Republic arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torture freedom burning bright. As I awoke he vanished in the midst for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now his parents trampled each god-given right. We only watched him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Dill the Land. And I'm Michael Nester. Well, ladies and gentlemen, you are listening to us on We the People Radio Network, wtprn.com. That's We the People Radio Network. We're also on LibertyTreeRadio.4mg.com and we're on AM&FM major stations, AM&FM micro stations, CB base stations, and alternate technologies, both east of the Mississippi and Alaska right now. We'll say hi to all of our new listeners there. Anyway, It is Friday, be careful on the way home. I know some people are listening while they're trying to head home, but pay attention beyond the hood. Other people think they're already home, at least in their mind, and two vehicles cannot occupy the same space at the same time. It's a basic law of the galaxy. Okay, one of the two cars, you try to occupy the same space, the intergalactic crumple factor takes hold, okay? It's part of a general unified field theory, okay? Now, it is Friday, and we have been talking about a number of things this last hour to include The M1A, I want to remind everybody that we have, I guess, you know, one of the reasons that people were asking for that, and I appreciate it, is that I don't touch on the M1A as much. It's a high-end rifle now, I mean, before it was, well, it's always been a high-end rifle. It's always been more pricier than other weapons because it was fitted that unique niche with the 308 battle rifles. For a little bit, they came down as these weapons became available in parts systems. uh... but they've gone back up to the point where you really do have to invest money that you know get into the basic m fourteen slash m one a rifle uh... a ground level and again magazines have progressively gone up the day of the old eight dollar mag and nine ten dollars a mag for a brand new m fourteen mag from the u.s. government those are gone but there are some pretty nice prices there some chinese or copies of the m fourteen mag made for the chai taiwanese m fourteen perfectly serviceable, they're fine mags. You gotta remember the Taiwanese took their fighting skills seriously and they take their army seriously. Their life depended upon those parts working right. So the Taiwanese did a pretty good job with their M14 mags along with their copies of the M14. They were, again, they're good tool and die people when they want to be. Produced for themselves, that's all that he told everybody else, the others. These are mags that were made for the Taiwanese military, which means Amelman.com has M1A mags. and It's fine to the shorter barrel, 1000 inches, which is 27 yards, please one inch below. Now for you guys are shooting the two that's long distance and blah, blah, blah, I got to have a scope. Yep, exactly. So combat people talking deer hunting. Yep. Well, that's, go ahead, please go ahead and murder. Well, I set up in the car being that you hit dead on guy and then all you got to do is figure out other than you hold over and you will score a hit. And most important here is again, the center of mass, the idea is that you're bringing it down into the target, depending on how it floats, and it's determined by range, you're still going to keep it within the torso length. One of the ways that they were training for many, many years, which you brought up as a standard procedure, cross training from the M14 to the 16 for a lot of guys who are not used to the lighter rifles. The carbine, now the carbine hadn't been out there for quite some time, but still the same technique was used for the carbine, as you pointed out. Yes you can. At point of aim, you put one inch down at 1,000 inches. 1,000 inches, one inch down from point of aim, you're dead on 50 yards. Guys, that's an easy way. You don't have to go have a bit. Nobody can do that. Just make sure you got a hand and now you got a good back and you can go from there. As a matter of fact, for those people who are looking, if you check out a lot of the companies that provide targets, they have 1,000 inch range targets that are used by the DOD. It had been used for years. with a number of different silhouette configurations. So you can actually practice at the extended ranges with simulation and scale. It's designed for the thousand inch range and that is something everybody needs to invest in. Real quick on that note with the carbine, you brought the carbine up and people are going carbine. for each 250 yards. Well, it will reach 250. Consider this. What it lacks in velocity, although it isn't really that low in velocity at 250 yards, it makes up for having twice the weight of the original combat weight bullet for the AR-15. The 110 grain bullet is the average. Now there are plus or minus loads that are made. Mark, you misunderstood me. Good carbine. I'm talking about the carbine of the M16. all the carpet people the carby work the carby was used as a well coming was used in the same way the carby it'll work it'll work we have the m1 carby now here's the thing uh... right now and i've been brought this up several times core bond for those people have the m1 carby who think that it doesn't have the teeth of say the air fifteen could be a year fifteen the stinger okay is designed to be a good i speak bullet punch uh... the call bond has produced a new bullet that is their dpx The DPX bullet which will in a carbine load penetrate the same amount of cloth the same number of sheets of sheet metal and will penetrate two inches more of gelatin of test gelatin than the AR-15 round with the same DPX load. So now we're talking a carbine for a lot of people out there who do have the M1 carbines Those are not obsolete firearms a lot of women love them You'll notice if you go to YouTube or if you go to a lot of these different events Women gravitate towards that rifle because it's the right size package for them Even the car 15 like you say a little bulky because of the length, but they like the car because there's no recoil But the carbine is small you got to figure typically and ladies you're not supposed to be up to up front fighting But if you are going to have to fight the carbine is very convenient for the size of the magazines you can carry a whole bunch of in pockets or on your belt all over the place uh... fifteen rounds per mag i wouldn't you know don't worry about the thirty rounders because they're up and down depending on who made them but the fifteen round mags they're smaller than a pack of cigarettes convenient to use you invest in the core bond ammunition i wouldn't stand in front of it i won't stand in front of it i won't stand in front of that carbine if it's just standard 110 green FMJ i don't want to get shot by it barrels or whatever. Now you need to sight 300 or 123. It's in meters and I'm going to flip mine up to 300 targets, consistently, different than shooting at a height. Once you get your rifle, but they work too. And the other thing I was going to tell people is go get those and file them down a little bit and block them so that you can use them. And that helps. Or open that notch out. One of the things too is now we're talking light rifles. I don't like to use the word assault rifle because it's not. Assault has clack, clack, clack. But the light car means slash light rifle category of weapons is a lot of them out there. One of the cool things is that we can engineer them ergonomically to fit our needs. And part of the ergonomics are not just making the rifle stock fit, but also the optics, the sights. Unlike the US military, although there are advantages to having everybody consistent for parts, If we have a need to alter something or to find a replacement, there's ample opportunity to go out there in the industry and find what fits your needs. So that is critical to making that weapon hit point of impact where you want to every time. Some people have special physical needs, special requirements. We have people that have only one eye. They have to fight only fire right handed, but they aim with their left eye. uh... number of different techniques and technology there so you may have to adjust her compensated courting and change sites of course now when you get from the mbrs main battle rifle cartridges and main battle rifles like the m one a uh... h k ninety one slash you know g three f n f a l you're looking at it a whole different class of weapon certainly used down at the shorter ranges obviously we don't stop shooting when they get closer right mark and i'm going to hit on the problem press the figure they've come out with Yes. I'm here to tell you, that's Sega. I have no problem. Now question, have you got the 20 inch or the 21 inch? Oh, the standard 20 inch Sega. Excellent. And that's for the 308? Oh yeah. Now, I'm going to tell you something. We have a project. We're going to go to break here. You stay where we are, but we've got a project you're going to like. It's in motion right now. It's not an if, just a when. This is the Intel report. We've got Marcus here as a guest for a moment. We have Mike and Mark. We'll be back in about three minutes. We the people, the radio network. People who use Cardivite know about the pollutants in our body and want them out. For over five years, Cardivite has proven itself time-tested. Here's Dr. Mattson, a naturopathic doctor's thoughts on Cardivite. In our mind, there isn't such a great big mystery to disease anymore. This basic Canada of yeast and the gut and metals and the liver covers at least 7-8% of the diseases that we see. When we do our program, you know, in herbal formula like Cardivite and you see someone who could barely walk up a hill, now going for regular jugs. two months later we know we're doing something right. It's a well thought out formula. I mean the idea of it working on yeast and metals both at the same time and liver function is dead on. You'll find I think that it'll work more than just on heart problems and circulation problems. It'll work on other problems as well. We got Mike Nasser with us, and we're going to be getting into medical here in a minute. But we've got Marcus from Georgia, who is still with us. Marcus, you've been using the Sega with a 20-inch barrel. What have you got for mags for that? Well, I've gotten, and the neat thing about the eight-round magazine, and now you have an eight-round magazine, like it's designed, and it will function. You can use it for yourself. I wanted them to be able to get some of those objectives. The BOLOR-AK, up in there, left hand, two maggons, Excellent. Actually, that's just basically the same as the last round hold open on the AR. You've got your auto release on the left side of the receiver. I mean, it serves the same purpose. Works the same way. Yeah. So now again, you're saying that the, now I love the company name. What's fuzzy bunny's full adra. You got all the contact information for fuzzy bunny? Yeah. There is www.micincorporate.com. Fuzzy bunny movie guns and they, they really have some conversions. with it that you can have a folding stock whatever they got all that sort of quality magazine that body and if you got eight round mags. Now here's my thing though now they will sell you the whole mag though did not just the body they sell you the internals can you get the internal separate because you know again replacement or spares would be a good idea to have just some backups. Mags are worth the money. Well another thing real quick you're using the 20 inch barrel but did you get the thumb hole stock model or did you go with a straight C stock? 300 stock or C stock. Remember I used it to put on this Widener's? Yes. And the pistol grip is in Moxie. It's beautiful. So again, the one thing I like about the Sega is first of all, for the price, you're talking half the cost of a Dragunov. Most people say, oh, I've always wanted a Dragunov sniper rifle. Well, that's what you're buying when you're buying the .308 Sega. You're buying a poor man's dragon off and like you said comparable to the M1A or the HK This is a solution niche because now here's the thing I know you've changed stocks But if you have the c-stock think about the M14 the basic operation of the rifle is not that much different from the M14 So if you have people that you need a handout rifle for without doing any more than the basic rifle off the shelf Combined with more more magazines because more magazines are what you need Then you're looking at a nice package here comparable if they upgrade to the M1A other than familiarization with the breakdown of the firearm basic operation is the same The basic feel instead of the rifle is the same so there are pluses there and when you Mark it's an 8k style weapon liability. Yep up there that that operates the game but more accurate, and return right back to zero. a night vision scope and actually use it quite effectively in an improvised mode with one of these rail type systems you could build up something fairly cheap you're not going to cry if it gets damaged it gives you some potential initially phase one phase two is invest more money and end up with a better night vision scope or take one off the other guy that's laying there on the battlefield when the time comes but there's a number of different ways this thing can be outfitted and it has all the variable geometry options that are needed which is why i could said this was a plus plus i think this is again going to be one of those rifles that it fits the need uh... we need something in its price range for people who can't quite afford a thousand dollars per rifle i know because i think we made him popular everybody's ever gone up in price for the availability magazine they're not cheap but one of the things that we're trying to do here and this was i was going to let you know is that we may have a metal solution to the sega we will have a metal solution for the velmae 308 a lot of people before these sagas were out velmae remember was starting to bring in a 308 RPK that was a phenomenal rifle in fact very reasonably priced they blocked them all from coming in now the velmaes that are in here mags go for seventy to a hundred dollars apiece we will have a velmae mag project one of the gentlemen here has already got it in it's already done it's not an if again it's only a win We're doing test to failure research right now with the mags and instead of costing $100 a mag, these will be shooting mags to take to the range but also to build up 20 and 30 mags for a rifle like that. If we're lucky, we will have the Sega solution parallel with that to give you yet another option for magazines. So that's what... They get different options. You just set up the rifle however you want. All they do make a 25 round magazine, so that's how you get to. That's about as far as you want to go with the .308. I'll tell you what, thank you Marcus. God bless brother. Thank you sir. And we'll be back in three minutes ladies and gentlemen. Bottom of the hour break with Mike and Mark. Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is unique. And we're going to be kicking off here a little bit of first aid for dogs, but right now I understand we have another caller, it's Quinn from Pennsylvania, go ahead. No, not today. That's okay. But we got you still though, if you want to call back in, but in the meantime, Mike, go ahead and take care of medical support because we got to deal with that. Okay, we're going to kick off here for state for dogs and we'll touch It's a little bit about poisonous ticks. Now, in Australia, they have poisonous ticks, and also in the United States and Canada. And they produce a toxin that produces causes paralysis and death. And of course, we've heard all about Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, ehrlichios, and all those things. Well, some of the signs and symptoms of this poisonous, they can cause depression, fever, especially. some of these other ones with this these two days before the weakness nation the above mentioned in the signs of others diseases transmitted by ticks and move and water retention. Remove the ticks by inverting a small container of alcohol or methylated spirit with a tick. This is going to kill her or a hemostat then you're going to gently down by where the tick body is. Women in the seat, restlessness, cry, examine the dogs and into the fur. Of course you want to wear rubber gloves if possible. be one part of ammonia water. And then also enough, the dog has a history of reaction to go ahead and give maybe food to the dose for bleeding a little bit. Now, externally, it's obvious. People bleeding go less obviously as equally as a dog has had a major injury or is acting in a subdued manner. It may be more difficult to apply some good. The dog is collapsed on its side, the head extended. You might want to ask yourself and consist of bleeding from a knife, a bullet, penetrating wound for a fused bleeding body opening and then there are signs of shock. You definitely want to use to the vet bleeding from a wound that's larger than three-quarters of an inch or if the bleeding in the area and you might want to consider treatment for shock again just to touch on it here are the signs of symptoms, pale gums, rapid breathing, remedies and a generalized weakness. The treatment would be for the hind borders are elevated and that will help provide extra warmth for your vet. And we want to, next one here is we'll cover the skin from the head and the torso. We're immediately bleeding with bicarbonate, you know, two by twos, four by twos like that. We want to maintain pressure as a bare minimum of at least two addressing away to see if the bleeding is. That's going to just start over again. If the bleeding does continue, then you just want to place another dressing over top of it. You want to secure it into place. and if you want to wrap it just a bleeding ear, remind that ears profusely, if one of them nips one of them in the ear, takes off a little chunk of it, you don't want to stop. Sides of the ear flap with an absorbent pad for several minutes. Don't be tempted in the checking to see if the bleep ends ahead with gauze. If it's too tight around the neck, it's going to interfere with your athletic tube, that'll help. And you might want to, depending on the severity of the bite, you might want to be treated with your sp. to evacuate it. Bleeding nose to the dog and we're going to apply it to the nose because this is going to interfere with and it's going to help a clot before by holding an absorbent pad over the nostril. Bleeds are usually can be caused trauma or other damage to the nose and you might want to go ahead and treat that and just give your vet a phone call and just to get some advice from there. Bleeding from the over minor bleeding we want to strain the dog, reach with an absorbent pad and clean it with a 3% over the artery. The bleeding artery is superficial. Mind that the limbs are the most frequently on the, not FOU, but the front legs. Come on the out sway between the shoulder and the elbow and then you want to press a bleeding in the back legs, the heel of your hand firmly into the groin high or in sheet as a tourniquet. Love the heart. We want to evacuate and get some better. Once again, for a bleeding, you want to restrain. the dog and you're going to clean any minor wounds, hydrogen frock, or if you're going to use an antiseptic, use one that doesn't. Using a clean absorbent pad, you're going to apply some pressure. go ahead and add more padding. Now if the bleeding stops within four minutes, wrap the paw and gauze in the last advantage and telephone your vet for some advice. Now if the bleeding continues after four minutes, apply pressure to the pressure point and then wrap the paw tightly and take the dog to your vet immediately. I hear the music coming in. You can lay your pencils down. We'll be back in a couple minutes. Thanks for listening. You're listening to the last segment of the Intelligence Report with Mike and Mark. Today is the 11th of April 2008. We're going to continue on here with our first date for dogs. We were talking about the bleeding of the paw. Now the pressure point at the paw, what you want to do with your thumb at the back of the paw, the leg just above and squeeze it pretty firmly and that's going, that will be the pressure. Now also, also, you again, we can use a tire or piece of soft material to apply a tourniquet and then you're going to evacuate it to the vet immediately. But just be careful, leave the tourniquet on the paw for more than 15 minutes or so tightening it and stuff. That's up to you. The time two minutes and then tighten it again only is absolutely necessary. If it's used wrongly, tourniquets can be extremely dangerous. The leg might have amputated. Here's here again, we're going to talk about bleeding nog and we want to apply a bleeding nail. Usually when you touch it, it's hanging on just a little bit. Move the nail, go ahead and put a bandage on it and you might want to telephone some advice to your vet and they can help you out with and... Now, if the bleeding occurs while you're cutting your dog's nail because you've cut it clean absorbent pad for a color. You can also apply a ferritic and those are usually of the jaws and adhesive. Take the bandage on for about 24 hours and that'll go ahead and keep the leading tail, not a nail, but a tail, the wagging part at the end, profusely.
