I'm surprised to hear people talking about that, in addition to my still use, I think it's using video games to train. using a bladed weapon I think is a effective simple use when you strike you ultimate goal is actually just to cut somebody down when necessary even you know I mean there ultimately today. Well edge weapons first of all edge weapons have a very special specific application in fact I listed it this way. Sentry removal and I know a friend of mine used on sentry removal with German more often than he used regard to close contact. He liked carrying a ball peen hammer. He said it worked every time, went straight through the helmet and to the soft stuff inside. He used a fighting edge weapon as needed. So when people say they don't think they're going to use it, it's not all the times that you don't use it. It's the one time where the lean rifle has failed, the handgun may be empty, and the knife is all that you're able to reach. Marshall experience unto itself was uniquely American. I mean, we had a whole technology. I'll give you a good example, guys. If you look at the traditional way that we carried our fighting knives, the fighting knife was not opposing your pistol. The fighting knife was with your dominant hand with your pistol. There was a reason for that. There were different levels of that would be applied or could be applied. And so each weapon was perceived to have equal value as a primary fighting tool. Think about that. In other words, the edge weapon might serve more of a purpose, you know, well, of course, not the least of which is economics, depending on how far back you go, the blade was a better choice, the weapon was more for reaching the handgun, was more for reaching just as the rifle was. Because of the nature of how we were trained in the fighting knife and the blade of any kind, including the tomahawk or the hatchet, which was also a mandatory militia arm, the only reason we dropped the knife, because of Europeanization, they wanted to, oh, that was a savage weapon. But the Tomahawks class hatchet was a phenomenal personal arm at close quarters, just like the ball peen hammer or the fighting knife. Option, this is something we do need to train with. We do need to understand and use. It's another dimension. It's something that I addressed this in several of the different writings I did with the Battle for the Republic, the Winter War. One of the books brought this up, the multiple number of weapons and that everything becomes a weapon or may become a weapon. They had a terrible time teaching American soldiers to become nuts. But a lot of the Western soldiers that have become more aggressive and understand that anything and everything at hand has to be used in a brawl. People is even the helmet, which is even a cutting edge of the brim considered to be a key weapon of need be because it was always at hand if the soldier get it out.
