This way when you stage it it's easier to, you know, all you have to do is slide the bag into the container. And then the other thing is even if it's raining or something then we can pull it out and we can look through the bag. We don't have an official or somewhere dry where then I have to real good that way. Yeah, it works for me. Yes, you can but I usually try to keep my dry goods dry and my liquid solutions anointments in a separate container dying. A hemostat, we usually use that out here in the Southwest cactus. It's called handy that you can slip. If you get those on you, it's like home, because then you can flow. And then I have those on a tether, the small bandage scissors, the iris scissors, and the hemostat. And it's a small out of the five around it. I have those secured inside of that pouch. I have my backpack about anything somebody on the move and then keep your area. Give me a 500 of normal stay lean IV solution. I have the tubing on data dye prep. So use one of your exam gloves. Stuff that we had covered in the canteen cover, then I'd also have those in a Ziploc bag. And in the clothes. Little Ziplocs of this and that, and keep them separated? Yeah. By definition, an injury of extremities by cold with secondary structural functional disturbances of the smaller surface vessels, the nerves and the skin, or the generalized lowering of the body temperature. Now, exposure to temperature is usually around can cause immersion, but the dry cold and that'll be more often caused increased by increased consciousness, or tight clothing clothing very yes uh-huh and young or the very one on there there's ice crystals themselves themselves or between them this and the capillary and that's due to a sludging of the red blood that's basically all getting it up and into one spot open together sweating yes uh-huh there's a negative aspect this is one time where you have it you don't want to wear tight remedies in the cold because they go out and cold they make their boots tight you have like this and then I'll top of those. Some people do it the other way around. Always use wool, folks. Trust. Yes. Get wet. Your immersion or trench foot gets numb and it'll get all wrinkled in. And it's a dust bite itself. It's... What kind of is your foot? And the best thing to do is to have it rewarming with your hands or a warm object. The buddy up and then put them in the armpits or stuff like that where you can... If you're exposed to the elements, folks. It's a tunnel to get out of that wind. Because that wind chill factor is what's that way through. So what would that be? That would be the convection, like the convection oven in reverse. It just sucks the heat out. One of the things that you do not want to do is, especially if your feet have become numb, then you'll get a burn that way. Yes, the better method. There's a warm bath. You can also drink, and they'll help. You have to be careful, though, that on the tea and coffee, they have caffeine in them, and those are diuretics. So you can dehydrate that way, too. Water bottles are a canteen. to make sure that the temperature that you use is beat 100 and 110 to be sure that you don't exceed 110. In the field, snuggling next to a warm companion, warming your hands and feet on the abdomen, the chest, or the arm, warm water to rewarm. You need to make sure that you dry the extremity. You don't want to try to rewarm the patient. It would be more preferable if you had a stretcher or some type of... Well, you know, even in... Because you know how many people on the side of the road up on 80. A little bit of food in your car. I mean this is just if you travel from state to state you might... Oh no, that's okay. One thing I would suggest is I get a small tent If your power goes out and your heater doesn't work, you can get a small Arctic tent. You didn't ask. Yes, set it up in your living room and you can get an alcohol heater. They make them for sailboats and it just burns ethanol, denatured alcohol. and it doesn't produce any carbon monoxide, just carbon dioxide. You know, of course you still have to have some ventilation, but that's one way to get around that problem. The other thing is I raised rabbits, and the only thing you have to be careful about, rabbits per pound are the cheapest animals to raise, cheapest source of protein, but you have to be careful about something called rabbit starvation. So what you have to do is you have to base them with some kind of butter because you can't just eat strictly the protein or it will kill you. That's why they took everybody off the Addkin diet because they were getting kidney failure. The other thing too is it's really easy to build a greenhouse or a hot house with if you have any type of mechanical or carpentry skills. You can build one of those with some of this plastic. You can get this one mil or two mil thick plastic. You can get it home depot loads. And just build your little square with two by fours. Be the classic quantum type style. I just have a little square. Those are some solutions. That sounds pretty, what's about you? Incredible. You have to keep your mind some day you might need it. Tom, I went through Hurricane Rita. We're about 75 miles from the hurricane. We had winds up to 125 miles an hour. Everything else for 11 days with temperatures between 102 and 104 during the day and it cooled down to a balmy night. One thing I got was a little It's a little shower, portable shower that uses one of those one pound propane things that you hook up to it and a five gallon drum of water and it pumps it so you can take a quick warm shower. I tell you it's a lot better than taking a cold shower. Well you gotta make a solar shower don't you sir? Oh yeah. Taking all the water heater that's kind of burned out. paint the black and just put it up on a stand. Yeah, except in the winter. Yeah, exactly. Well, no, actually it still won't freeze in the winter. I don't think it'll freeze. Yeah, but this thing worked extremely well. I got it at Walmart, I think, for like $69 or something, and it worked reasonably well. But Mike, Mike is absolutely right when he talks about the main thing is sanitation. That's the biggest problem. People, you know Tom, when this thing goes down, however it goes down, I'll tell you, the thing that's going to kill more people more quickly is going to be that garbage that builds up in the cities. We even had a problem out here in the country people were still putting stuff the guard the dumpster was overflowing and people were still putting stuff and they and the dumpsters and then Wild animals, but they got a start. They got to start bodies. What do you do with the dead body? Well, that's right. That's why you have to have diesel Yeah, well you gonna do you gonna eat or are you gonna use diesel burn the body? You know Cut your trees, you know, do like they do in India and build a wood pile. Yeah, what do they call it? You know, all the pathogens. That's the biggest problem. You get a lot of pathogens with dead bodies. That's why it's not such a hot idea to try to bury them because you do have to bury them at least six feet deep. Number one, they come up like that. That's right. Yeah. Most people don't know that. That's why in Brooklyn we throw them in with a sack of lime. Alright, looks like this is the end of the show.
