I had a dream the other night that, well, I didn't understand. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, We've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free.
and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. The tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent.
Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled.
You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn.
and your daughters visit doctors so their children will be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave?
Oh, sons of the Republic, arise. Take a stand. Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land. Preserve our great Republic in each God-given right. And pray to God to keep the torture of freedom burning bright. As Iowoki vanished in the midst from whence he came. His words were true. We are not free, but we have ourselves to blame.
For even now as tyrants trampled each God-given right, we only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave, dill the land of the free?
This is the afternoon intelligence report. I'm Mark Wurky. And I'm Donald Betcher. One day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters both on and behind the lines in occupied territories south, west, east, and northwest. Ladies and gentlemen, you are listening to us on We the People Radio Network on WTP.
also on Liberty Tree Radio. You will find us on AM and FM micro stations across the nation. Thank you gentlemen, regular AM and FM stations. Hi to our friends down in Southeast Ohio, also, stations across the nation. So we're pretty busy right now. Hopefully adding shortwave pretty soon, still working on that project. Going to make a call still after the program tonight.
And it looks like we're going to be plugging in soon. Yes, we do need sponsors. So I'll be talking to all the people who have made offers here recently, and we appreciate that, so that we can plug in the shortwave and be able to hear us hopefully. Otherwise, I think we'll be doing pretty good working on satellite too. Wtprn.com, a quick reminder is that we also archive all of our programming. And we're using the chat room today at Liberty Tree Radio. So if you want to say hi there, you can do that.
Man, we've got weapons Wednesday today, Don. Are we secure? In a moment, there's something under my vision as far as- Right, overwatch. We now have the capability to secure and protect our piece of real estate here. So, for ladies and gentlemen out there listening, this is We The People Radio Network. We're going to take a quick break and you'll be back here on the Intel Report with Weapons Wednesday with Don and Mark. Let's let this run a little bit. Yeah.
at pokerface at pokerface.com and for the guys for all the guys by the way we found the footage we were looking for last night Don I was going through old big staff who can understand and imagine the very last you know they say it's the last because then you stop looking but literally I have no doubt
Normally in the past I do multi-editing with like three or four machines or two or three machines plugged in and I'll have them fast forward and I can eyeball each one to get the scenes that I want, you know, because we're trying to work as fast as we can, I'm looking for certain things. And last night it was, well, fast forwarding and then by, I got sucked into looking at some of the cool stuff that's been done by all of our people, some really dynamic winter footage and I was like, oh man, I gotta watch that again. And then of course that dragged me into something else. So about six o'clock this morning,
is when I found the tape I was looking for. Six o'clock in the morning AM, I went all through the night and a lot of other good stuff. Also some footage with, like I said yesterday, some of our friends were gone. So we're absolutely going to use them every chance that we can with certain pieces because it's a memoriam and they'll be seen by millions of other people and they'll be remembered in one form or another. We'll make sure that we also commemorate that on some of the tapes.
The next dynamic combat music video is going to be done pretty quick. I got everything queued up. Everything is ready to go. So that's a warning order for all you people out there. You can go check out our YouTube connection. We'll have it on YouTube and also on the website itself on Liberty Tree Radio. And you'll see it as a trailer. You'll see it attached to many of the other DVDs that we're doing because like I said, we never leave any blank space.
and it's important this part weapons wednesday with a malicious one of our most important defensive weapons to protect the people and uh... again uh... the militia people uh... i could be once kicking your door three in the morning is not the militia people love that you're having a class in the rear view mirror to make sure that that guy didn't turn around a revenue on you in that funny car with a bubblegum machine on the roof knock on your door and tell you you can't go in your own home
The militia is not going to be the ones who are going to confiscate your property. It's not the militia that's going to send you something in the mail and lock up your bank accounts. That's what the other side does, people. The militia is there to help. And of course, the maliciousness of the scumbags like in the ADL or what we see with the gutter trash and Southern Perversion law. Well, those creatures, we know what they're about.
part of the New World Order click. In fact, there are some of the spiders behind the scenes and some of them right up in your face, of course, with regard to what they do on C-SPAN and whatever. On our side, the Patriot Movement, the militia effort in general is doing very, very well. Some great work being done. Some of these young guys, hey, you're supposed to be out of replacements, so keep doing what you're doing because there's some really good stuff coming up video-wise too. I appreciate that.
uh... weapons wednesday by the way in court incorporate something else which has to do with everything from optics to support and supply but down yesterday you brought up the uh... whole uh... issue of night vision i want to give out your contact information to that emails on that too if you would uh... give out your information and also bring people up to speed on what's happening uh... second generation as we've said before is drying up disappearing dark you guys day uh... i don't believe me give me a call to get right three one second generation
ICT ran a small gun because they were brand new. What you're gonna see in second generation generally you guys from now are Russian and if you get somebody telling you, well I got a second generation tube for you, ask them if it's Russian. It works almost as good so you don't want to buy something like $2,500 out of it and get like $800 or $900 out of it. The third generation American is still in the tube, I can do that for $50. No problem. Body that nests again one more time with the phone number.
5'8". I also, uh, if you're looking, give me a call. I'll do my best to get you the best. I figure, it's like this, Mark, I figure the more night vision I have some patriotic American that might be keeping a whole bunch of China in the busy one day. You know, Don, somebody just asked us a question up here on the chat room about, is it true that first-gen makes a wine when it's turned on? You'll get many first-generation pieces that take a slight little buzz to them, much like you're hearing a motor, uh,
A quiet motor, a hundred yards away. Actually, we've all heard it before, Valerie. That's one of the reasons I'm familiar with it. But part of that is, again, it's the nature of the charging up of the capacitor packs and also the circuitry itself. So it does, you know, but you hear it. You don't hear it as much away from the equipment, although it's we're hearing close, close proximity of wood. But it's not something that sounds like somebody's roaring in the woods or anything like that. It's almost like a bug in your ear. The guy 10 feet away isn't going to hear that mosquito. Not to worry too much about that. And it might be, you know,
If he's that close, you should have had the night vision on already and there's no sense in turning it on. That's what may and Esther are for. Oh look, he's right in front of me. I can relate to that could happen because you know we've got enough guys who are veterans and everybody, one of them, especially World War II, had notorious stories like that. One was a carpenter I worked with years ago. He was from Africa. He was with First Division. He went all the way through Africa. Normandy landing all the way to Germany.
They dug in once, not going to abbreviate the story a little bit, but they dug in once and they heard all kinds of noise around a little ridge. And by morning, of course, it was foggy. Well, one of the lieutenants was on the machine gun because everybody took turns on the Browning as far as manning it, and it was wee hours in the morning. All of a sudden they heard a scream and then the Browning started to kick in and wouldn't stop. In fact, he just hooked the belt right through to the end.
after everybody fired everything up and then all of a sudden they called a ceasefire and they went over to check and see what had happened. Well the German, this German had dug in right in front of the Browning gun, you know the 1919. And what happened is he'd come up out of this foxhole for something and the lieutenant had him right dead at point-blank range and just started firing. Well the guy when he killed him he dropped his arms right on the lieutenant's shoulders. And the guy went into panic fire and just kept firing with the belt, wouldn't let go.
And then everybody stopped when they called the C-spine, they figured out this German was only about a foot and a half, three feet away. Everybody got really quiet and realized, well, if there's one here dug in.
There's got to be a whole lot of other Germans dug in. Yep. There's his Volksstrom, there's his Kinder. So all of a sudden everybody got really quiet, grabbed everything and backed off and he said they can hear the Germans doing the same thing because nobody was really excited about hand-to-hand combat at that particular point in time. Wow. So it can happen but typically again you're tuning in your night vision equipment when you need it for patrolling purposes and again for observation.
You'll do that when you start out, remember, during your team operations. This is the Intel report. We've got our first break already. Ladies and gentlemen, we'll be back in about three minutes.

It's time to thank you outside the box with your host Alex Anzore from 1pm to 3pm Central every Saturday right here on We The People Radio Network.
If you find something in the field and you don't know what it is, take it to somebody who you think might know. Now there are some caveats there, analogy advances and frequency things. If you find a piece of what looks like daylight and it might have a box side and maybe a place for a battery, odds are you found a piece. Another good clue, front cap that has a pinhole in it, the ability much like it has an aperture control on a light that goes into the device. If you find a piece of night vision, you're pretty sure it's a piece of night vision, there are two adjustments for a
basic piece of night vision. One, you do with the pinhole cap on or the aperture closed down to a pinhole. Let the least amount of light in, you turn the light, you turn the night vision on in the daytime, only with the pinhole cap on or with the aperture almost exactly completely closed. Bring the night vision up to your eye and the part that you're looking through generally should turn. You turn that until you get a clear sight. Now you leave that alone. That's adjustable for
Everybody's individual eye. This is so a gentleman or a warrior, let's put a... who picks it up, who uses glasses, he doesn't have to have that... which is meant to conceal the wash, the light that is showing your face. Well, you bring that rubber boot up to your eye, and guess what? You don't have any leaking light for the guy out there with another piece of night vision. You bring the boot up to your eye, you adjust that with the pinhole cap on, and now you've adjusted your... now, at night, you can take your pinhole cap off 500 feet.
So again, there are two adjustments. You might, if you did not know this, someone might hand you a piece of night vision and you play with the front adjustment and play with the back adjustment and never get it right. And you think what might be a good piece of equipment. You think this is a piece of junk. I've seen it. Let's talk a little bit more about when you're out at night. You know, tonight, America, you've got a full moon just bumping up. But while it, there won't be laying on the horizon just after it gets dark, dark enough to where, you know, you know, it's not going to get
walk around and look at your shadow. If you live in a city, walk around your house and look at how your shadow is gonna beat you around some corners sometimes, ain't it? I've told you many times to be careful of your shadow even at night. One might call a form of light discipline that, you know, we've all seen the world war- Well, light discipline comes in a number of forms. Oh yes, most people don't think about it. In fact, the only problem with on the battlefield having all these cool little trinkets and toys
is that that's that much more that you have to have control over. Also, it's that many things you have. I'm looking at all the whiz-bang tools that they're plugging in. It's that many more batteries, which adds more ounces to your overall combat load and isn't necessarily enhancing your performance if you become reliant upon the technology. So the night vision is a good plus.
But, you know, if you look on some of these weapons now, they're looking like Mattel 7s from 1964, you know, that used to buy at Kroger's and grocery stores used to sell big toys like this. The Star Wars. Yeah, it looked like a Star Wars blaster, but the problem is it's got all the Star Wars problems, you know.
So you have to be thinking light discipline, you know, again one of the most common mistakes I can be almost guarantee is becoming a problem. For instance with lasers is accidentally tapping or touching the system and queuing up something that, you know, identifies your location.
Kinda telling everybody, yeah bring that motor, I'm coming over there. It's almost like a drop mortar sign, drop mortar sign here. Yeah! Now, let's go back to one of the oldest forms of light discipline. This goes back to like the Civil War. World War I is when this really became prominent though, Mark. You've all heard it before, maybe you never recognized the warning, three on a match. Wow, that goes, Mark. You're sitting there with your buddies and you think, well we're fired back. I've only got a few cigarettes, all three of us have a...
I've only got a few matches. All three of us have a cigarette, so snap. You like the cigarette, if you bring it. He brings his gun to bear on you. You move the match ever so slightly. Now he's fine-tuning his name. You like your friend's cigarette. And that's when the bullet comes in and takes out one of you. Three items from you. In fact, remember that when you're using cigarettes or for that matter other tools, especially cigarettes, is that every time somebody lights up, you're creating another FLIR.
Now today it's even more obvious with night collection technology because any of you have both thermal and you have conventional night vision, we'll pick up a certain amount of that ambient light. And so not only do you get a good look at what it is, you know, the cigarette, you don't just identify the cigarette or the object burning, but you also get kind of an illumination of, hey, that's the one I want to shoot. In the immediate area, yeah, the one with the star on his cap.
Yeah, there you go. Whatever piece of insignia or whatever it was that reflected or somebody that seems to be pointing a lot, chances are whoever the guy is that's looking for you is going to be concentrating fire on that person first.
uh... you might want to keep that in mind it's called the other difference or deferring to uh... whenever you're in the field this is the basic rule of discipline and how operational discipline is supposed to work experience combat units know that uh... everybody acts the same everybody operates the same only going to put it this way even in south africa special in south african and they were notorious for this the officer carried his own radio
the sergeants carried their own radio. Rhodesian units were the same way. First of all, it's because why do I need a radio operator? If I don't have guts enough and strength enough to carry the radio myself, I shouldn't be out here. Number one. Number two is that created less motion or activity. And the assumption was, with regard to the aggressor, was that, well, the guy in charge, he wouldn't carry his own radio. He's too good for that. So logic is it gives you some downtime because they'd be trying to figure out, well, who is in charge?
When in reality the RO was also the team leader, was also the platoon leader, was also the company leader. So little techniques at work, and again this whole, what they're watching for with all their satellite technology is for you to defer to other people to watch, actually they're watching physical motion. A person who's being given more attention or perhaps being weighted upon, that kind of thing. All kinds of little stuff that you gotta remember that for our combat units, we've trained our people in this for years, that's a no-go.
In fact, people wondered, well, why don't you have a radio operator? When I was in the field, this is something that I adopted as a policy because it made sense. Number one, if I got another guy working as an RO, I may have a second radio operator, but he's part of another radio net. If there's a second radio operator, he works specific missions, but with regard to fire maneuver and moving certain formations,
I'm my own radio operator. I don't care if it's a PRC-25, PRC-77, PRC-89 or 10. We use all of those with modified radio battery packs. Our own AGRC-1s that were made by the militia. It's still, basic rule in the field is you're your own RO. And also, you can distribute the weight. Now, this is an issue all through, and this is Weapons Wednesday. With regard to field operations, you'll find out this isn't a video game. You gotta carry stuff.
Now, since you do have to carry stuff, you gotta remember that you gotta spread the weight out. It's just like a Browning Automatic Rifleman or an M60 Gunner or a Browning Gunner or a MAG-58 Gunner. He doesn't carry all of his ammo for a reason. The squad carries, you know, each man carries a belt of ammo for the squad gunner, at least.
so that you're distributing the weight to keep the base fire weapon functioning. Well, it's also true with all your other technology. And you don't want all your eggs in one basket. One guy gets killed if he's the ammo bearer. Guess what? We're down for the day. Yeah. Oh, you guys, we'll be right back. We need a new Kenny. Yeah, you killed Kenny. Oh, those buggers. We won't say the other word. This is the Intel report. We'll be back in a few minutes, ladies and gentlemen, at the bottom of the aisle.

And of course it is the 30th of May 2007, weapons Wednesday by the way. For our chat room request here also, the question having to do with sound on the night vision, good point here, we'll bring up. And his concern was sound on the battlefield, which gets into sound discipline and light discipline. Light discipline has to do with making sure that even if there's an accident, things don't leak.
Sound discipline can be everything yes from little noises made on the battlefield that certain technologies would be monitoring. The 17 kilo ground surveillance radar operators also have all overlapping missions because they have other technology. It used to be they were just being off course in a very specific task, but usually they have more than one area of expertise. Well, they're also of course monitoring for noise, for sound.
So that is something that you always have to take into consideration. Traditionally, we taught everybody to use electrical tape to silence their gear, for instance. The clunk, clunk, clunk, or the gurgling of your canteen. All the noise at night is exaggerated. It becomes more extreme. It becomes more noticeable. Remember, all the background noise has been reduced. The activity at night is greatly lessened, no matter where you are. Sound travels farther at night.
Night vision, just like anything else, that needs to be a consideration. That's where you get into the issue of do you keep the equipment on and run it non-stop if you're using it for patrolling? Or do you start it up and it'll stay activated as needed because you're trying to conserve, for instance, on batteries? One of the issues with batteries is, is it summer? There's two issues that you have to worry about. A, operating batteries consume obviously energy to begin with. Hold itself leeches power.
kinds of different formulas, but yes, sound discipline is something we wanted to touch on. It's crucial. There are a number of, not just high powered, just actually sound collection microphones. They don't have to be high powered. In fact, we have on the site, I've got to look to see if I still have it up there, but I have a couple of designs that are very simple.
for producing microphone monitors that we use around here you know what the enemy move around a little bit you're listening but pay attention to what they're doing it did not only that just for monitoring your property anyway uh... they can be made from uh... pickup mike's off uh... micro off uh... tape recorders uh... you can get a bit yard get microphones yard sales that are dirt cheap better people are tossing out uh... example these little computer microphones that you get with the computers for instance a lot of people don't use them or they find that there's piles of that somebody else doesn't
collect all those, get a piece of PVC tube, buy yourself a simple dollar store or from the hardware, get a funnel. You cut the funnel so that it fits inside of your PVC pipe that's about, say, a foot long. Put it towards the back. OK, take a little funnel point at the very end of the narrow end of the funnel. Level that with the back of the pipe itself. Glue that into place.
Take your little pickup mic, solder a few leads to it, stick it inside your little cone funnel, glue that into place. Go over to the air conditioning filter section of your hardware and buy a big sheet of the roll-up gray, the cut your own filter material. Cut it so that it's the depth of however, wherever the top of your funnel cone is, and then the end of your pipe.
Make a piece to roll it up and make a piece. That's the same depth as the space that you have there Stick that inside for a sound dampening so you don't get the echo effect on the other end You got your little lead you pull them out you get an end cap Out of the like in a plumbing hardware and for your PVC pipe drill a hole in the center of it run your leads through Glue the cap or just set the cap on the end doesn't have to be glued in you can just use bathtub caulk just to seal it and then glue
bathtub caulk the lead so that they're waterproof there. Now you can put this little shotgun mic anywhere you want and it can be plugged into whatever you want. Sit there and do work for you constantly. So that's just off the shelf all done with junk. In fact, that's why I never throw electrical equipment away. We've got all kinds of stuff that we can cannibalize. We've been doing for years. And you can make a little shotgun mic that does pretty darn good for, oh, away, a lot of dollar and a half, maybe two dollars.
So that's the solution from our end to monitor the other guys. You got to figure they're doing the same kind of thing. So noise discipline is crucial. And again, also, when you move, we were talking about before, well, you have to start thinking about survival on the battlefield, minimal motion. You're going to see some footage that I've done this many times. This is how we operate in the field. You don't move your arms.
Less motion means, especially when you think you're in contact, the arms stay to your side with your weapon. You stay in the ready position. Or if you're not carrying a weapon but using equipment, you keep your equipment close to your body and you do not move your arms as you move, especially when you're traveling through an area. Even if you're traveling at reasonable speed. That motion is part of what people detect. When you freeze and stop, it's that much less that you have to take control of if you believe that you're being observed.
So little tricks of the trade that work quite well. In fact, it'll allow you to get so close you can hear the other guy breathing. Okay? Don, we've got... Tom from Brooklyn. Yes, we do. Tom, jump in there. Hey, how's it going, fellas? I just wanted to bring up a couple of points. One point is, this is, this is, you know what we were talking about? Using those audio type lighting stuff that you leave out in the photo, you know, with the electric... Polar charts.
You guys were gonna put black tape on one side, something flat, so it, when it dries flat and you peel it up, or when you cut it, it's fucking to hold it in 200 yards out. What I do, I put that on a, we sell a cheap box four inches or three inches or whatever, it doesn't matter. You hit me and you shot, so if it hits me, I throw it around the chest. Does it really matter that much? That much, so that's a cheap way of getting around. Now that, this is the issue that I called up. I know it's Weapons Wednesday, but there is something that's pressing.
No jobs for U.S. citizens without Homeland Security approval. Are you aware of that? We had even been touched on that the other day, Tom, but please elaborate. Okay, well, it just... None will buy and sell without the mark of the beast. That's what... That's where they're headed. Absolutely. And this has all been prophesied, so us Christians are not that crazy, are we? Nope. Yeah, I just... You don't even have to elaborate. It was thrown in with the... by the Senate. I just wanted to make people...
Well, again, we're explaining to everybody over and over again, we're buying people time. We've bought as much time as we could. The other side wanted to plug this all in in 1995. All we've done is, again, we've provided everybody with a lot of time to square things away and to teach more people how to get up to speed and do what needs to be done. You've gotten chastised by my friends. You've been talking about this stuff for more than 20 years, or nothing's happened yet. I said, excuse me? Nothing has happened?
you out of your mind? You can't even go to the store without getting stopped by the cops anymore. Nothing's happened? Well, there's an interesting little series of cartoons. I need to dig them out. It was done by somebody, just a separate artist, but it shows like a city street and there's just like a cop on the beat.
Then it shows, you know, the government getting bigger and more cops on the street and of course crisis and the dope trade and everything else. And by the time you're done, there's like 20 cops on the street, the windows are busted out, everybody's in poverty, and the police state's plugged in. But it's still a little cartoon piece. Tell you what, Tom, stay right where you are. This is Donna Mark with the Infel Report, and the afternoon will be right back.
Our minds are tough right now, but there are a lot of different ways to get ourselves out of this mess. Providing for our own food, water, and power are a good start.

Yeah, okay, Your Honor. Oh, green is my night scope. There is no hate crime. There is no hate crime. God bless, fellas, and continuing your work. The night vision, you guys, I've said this. Some of you guys and I hear this every now and then, Mark. Well, I can see real shit tonight. Now, those guys, some of them, they'll go out and buy a daylight scope that's out of light, like a light force or a shepherd, and they'll light up the... or turn the knob, and now they've got the targeted too. Caveat out here.
with a piece of night vision and he's looking at what he see a nickel if he can't see exactly and I remember any illumination no matter what it is going to show up on the night vision which is why even day even day glow watches yes why they make military covers think about it guys anything that has a day glow or slight night glow reflection system of any kind or say illumination system
uh... eliminated night reticles for a long time that was very popular even military circles until people start to think it through uh... that type of light source even that minimal light source was showing up on the electronic systems uh... in any form uh... be the i r or starlight it didn't make any difference so uh...
That is a consideration. Now again, it depends on how intricate and how complicated the battlefield. In some cases you may be grabbing something and you don't have a choice because it's already there. Well, as you work the system, as you use it, you're going to have to start looking at going through a little checklist of again, light discipline and noise discipline issues. There are a lot of units, and this has been a school, I can give you an example of noise discipline. There's a lot of troops that will not carry a rifle with a sling.
Now you can even if they do of course you're taping it up you're silencing the sling especially the connector points But policy with many militia units is not to have a sling and there are two reasons and all number one is The noise issue number two is what is it doing over your shoulder when it's your hands should be at a ready position Right in fact your weapon should never be out of arms reach one form or another it should be in one hand to the next And I've seen and that's what's best
all these nice you still see all these assault slangs and and and utility slangs in the super batman slangs and it's a totally different mindset with the steelless the starship troopers slash stormtrooper uh... configuration equipment that's being used right now uh... another thing that i see is a big problem is the basic rule without the battlefield is get low and get down yeah i know your assault troops yet i get a or more and more or less what they are playing robo cop
and that they're in a cop environment. Well, the problem with that is getting lower, getting down and out of the way when you have all of your equipment up and high and forward. So it depends on the technology and technique. Now, another part of that school of thought has to do with the more junk you put in front of you, the more stuff you got protecting you from bullets coming in. See how you can add to the question in this formula. So you have to choose. Pick and choose accordingly.
It can get to the point though that you can say, gee, I've fallen down and I can't get up. Oh my journal, oh my goodness, I'm on my back. Help me, help me.
Yeah, and actually I've seen that. There's, you know, they work both ways. That's why, again, low center of gravity is an issue. These are all things when you start carrying pounds. You're not, you know, we had a little joke, you know, I was carrying my ultralight rifle and I had my ultralight magazines and I had my ultralight backpack with my ultralight poncho and my ultralight sleeping bag and my ultralight tent and my ultralight tent stakes and my ultralight shovel. And by the time I was done, nothing was very ultralight.
because all of those ounces add up. Now of course I could carry more if it is a little lighter in general, but you have to start thinking things through. It's not a video game. And you've got to test what it is that you think you're going to carry. My attitude is, my first issue is getting out in the field is A, ammunition and making sure the mags are in place and everything is clean and squared away and constant maintenance on the weapon. Number two is water.
If I had a choice between carrying other goodies and knowing that I'm going to be in an environment where I'm going to have to fight, water is crucial. Water is a weapon. I want you to read all the history books where soldiers died of thirst. And I'm not talking about in the middle of the desert like we're seeing right now in Iraq. I'm talking about the regular battlefield. Read any stories about Custer's Last Stand.
Reno's men were dug in on a ridge looking down on a stream, which is worse still, actually looking down on a water course. They had to risk their lives. Men were butchered just desperately to go down with armloads of canteens slung over their shoulder because the men were dying of thirst in less than a day. Combat situations where the guys are sitting there because they only got one canteen or two canteens. Water is a weapon. Water is a tool.
Water is crucial and I don't need to be in the desert to see that. I need to, in fact, we've argued this for years. That's why I said when you watch a lot of the combat footage, I can pick out the Aussies and the New Zealanders in a heartbeat. You know why? Because if you watch, look at how many canteens they carried. Okay, the experienced men know that one ain't enough and especially in a situation, now it depends on the environment you're in, but you want to risk exposing yourself from your position if you're under fire just so you can try to get a mouthful of water.
So that is it knows that you'll take advantage of it. That's right and again for combat and patrol rations There's all kinds of the cool stuff out there You can make it you can produce it yourself But for instance a little cheat here with regard to storage in your butt pack or in your backpack But pack because you always have that on your combat load these lifeboat rations They're in cubes. There's nine blocks to a cube to a rectangle
They'll store forever. Trust me guys, think about this. They're designed to be on lifeboats that are on decks of ships that go into the Caribbean in sun and temperatures that are up to 110 degrees. How hot do you think it gets underneath those canopies and those lifeboats? So if it'll survive there for up to two years or six months or eight years at a time and they pull it out and automatically rotate this stuff by law.
But if it'll last that long in a lifeboat, just imagine if you properly store it in a cool environment, how long it's going to last, or if you're carrying it in your backpack. You know that even if you're in a hot situation, the stuff's going to sit there and it'll be usable when the time comes. Lots of calories, very little in the way of mass, and it's easy to eat because all you do, and this is an old, this is an Indian trick. For any of you Indian people who like to read about Indian Scouts, well, I know a lot of Scouts.
You don't eat big chunks and mouthfuls. When you're especially on patrol or on the move, you take your index finger and your thumb and whatever will pinch off that cube of food, because only one cube is a meal on those lifeboat rations, you stick it in your mouth and you just let it melt. Let your body, let your saliva, and you might mold around a little bit in your mouth, but let it melt. When it's gone, you pinch another piece off. You're gonna take advantage of every calorie that's there.
because your body's going to get a chance to absorb it. And trust me, you're going to be on the Insta Weight Watchers program when you're carrying 60 to 80 to 90 pounds of combat gear. No question about it. And you're chunking through the woods. You won't have to worry about being overweight for very long. As long as you, in fact, you shouldn't be in that situation to begin with, but if you got a little excess, it ain't going to last. OK? So these are little things to remember. If you had to carry it, even carrying something burns calories.
Think about that just to get someplace you've got to burn calories to get all the junk you're carrying to point B Even if it's just a travel so even those those little pinches that you're eating That you're pulling off that little cube that you're going to be consuming for that trip, you know for that part of that meal Even that cost you calories to move either calorie you're burning calories But you had to you had to spend calories to move it while you were using it
So this is all part of the long formula of what becomes part of you as a weapons system and a lot of other issues. There's all kinds of fun stuff we could tie into this, but you see one point leads to the other. This all started with a question about noise discipline. And all of this tied in. It's not one thing. It's many, many different things. And you have to become a machine. You have to become a thinking machine, a constantly thinking machine. Another thing we touched on, Don, we're going to lose the, we're going to be at the top of the hour in a moment. You know, there's even urine sniffers out there, guys. Yes.
They were first deployed in Vietnam. Yeah, and here's why we were taught, I was taught as a soldier long ago, but also just common sense for root with regard to personal hygiene, is that's what they taught you to carry that E tool for. That E tool is part of getting rid of things that are going to be detected later. When they talk about digging a cat hole, you take the shovel, drop it into the ground, pull the shovel away, you know, to separate the earth, urinate into the hole, and then you cover it back up. Draw the hunk of thought back on.
That's right. And in fact, there are even other tricks that were done too. There's a whole technology there. So there's other technologies that we have to take into consideration. The good thing is...
Michigan's got, and the whole country's got lots of fanby and critters making all kinds of noise, so we're not out there alone. Fluttering the battlefield. That's right. Well, Don, we're at the top of the hour as always. God bless the Republic. Just to the new world order. We shall prevail, ladies and gentlemen. The Empire is on the run. We are on the march for day and night. Roorah! Chase them down the road with Van Epps. We'll make sure that we do a better job of their night vision. Thank you, Don. Thank you, Mark. God bless.
Did you read this? Chicago just became the murder capital of America. I don't understand. It's been a felony to have a gun since 95. I thought that was supposed to prevent murders. I didn't increase them. Criminals will always find a way to get guns, while the rest of us are just left defenseless. Chicago authorities have seized over 75,000 firearms since 1995. And now, Chicago's murder rate is twice as high as New York City. Tonight, while you're asleep, criminals will be at work.
Not in Kennesaw, Georgia. In 1982, our city passed a law requiring every household to have a gun. It terrified the criminals, and our violent crime rate is now 75% below the national average. We sleep well here in Kennesaw. Americans who own guns prevent over a million violent crimes every year and save lives. Get the facts. Visit armedandsecure.org. That's armedandsecure.org.
